• ANTONIOS (9/5): Great hotel, great facilities, rooms at must keep standard expectations. - The facilities were great The rooms were not best value for money to my standards. The king size bed wasn’t the one expected for such hotel level and it was very low and the mattress just a standard one. The window electric curtain couldn’t open fully to watch the view out and you had to control the blind curtain carefully to get the full view and sunlight. The dust bin in the WC was way small, which I never seen so small ever before. Also no convenient space to hag the face towel anywhere around the mirror.

I travel extensively and rarely take the time to write hotel reviews, but this place truly deserves recognition. It’s a complete oasis right in the middle of the city. Every member of staff was incredibly welcoming, consistently friendly and always willing to go above and beyond. A particular standout was Kevin from the concierge team. Without his help, I wouldn’t have achieved half of what I did during my stay. He’s easily one of the most attentive and dedicated concierges I’ve encountered in years. He was even available on WeChat whenever I needed assistance, regardless of whether he was on shift. An exceptional experience from start to finish.

• jessicam594 (10/5): Tranquil base in the heart of Shanghai - The PuLi was a wonderful and tranquil base for our second short stay in Shanghai and the welcome experience was incredible. All of the staff were very attentive throughout the stay and were so quick to help with any queries we had. We were able to fit in a massage in the Spa which was truly out of this world! The Long Bar also makes a cracking Vesper Martini - and the rooms were very comfortable! The location is very convenient, close to Jing'an Temple with lots of shopping nearby, and walkable to Anfu/Wukang Road areas with lots of options for drinks, coffee and food, as well as boutique shopping. Highly recommended.

It speaks multitudes that much of the staff has been there throughout the last decade that my family has been staying here. Always good to see familiar faces like Mike, William, and Kevin on the concierge team. And the guest services team including Hank and the director Camille make us feel so welcome and comfortable. We are always well taken care of, and our needs met, as they anticipate thoughtfully in advance how to make our stay exceptional. The spa and gym is also an excellent amenity. Mike, the manager, responded to my email swiftly, helped us shape our plans, and even arranged for someone to assist us with navigating the metro and finding a mahjong venue. Celine was also consistently charming and helpful. Quite simply, it was the best service I have ever received in an upmarket hotel — and I have stayed in many over the years.

We’ve stayed several times over the past six years and it remains our favourite city escape. I would highly recommend.

We were very glad we booked the PuLi over other luxury options. Firstly even before our arrival Mike the concierge was extremely helpful in helping us book restaurants, arrange transportation and excursions. Both he and William were extremely helpful throughout our stay and deserve mention. We booked the grand suite which comfortably accommodated us and ensured some privacy for all. The room perks were also great. Our check in was arranged in room by Sophie who also deserves mention for her attentiveness and care. The hotel is stylish and has a great atmosphere. We prefer a modern design hotel and this delivered. The location is great and much better than staying in pudong. We really loved everything about it and found it to be a great platform for exploring Shanghai. We would definitely return.

The hotel’s location is incredible location is incredibly convenient, with the metro station being a short walk away, making city exploration a breeze. A special thank you to the amazing staff, especially Ms. Fabrie at the concierge, who went above and beyond to help our family with bookings and recommendations. I always book the Puli hotel because it’s definitely the best hotel I have had the chance to experiment. This was a business trip of very long days and it was such a pleasure to return to the hotel and its exquisite hospitality, each night. Camille delivered exceptional service and thoughtfulness. The hotel strikes the perfect balance between luxury and comfort, with an atmosphere that feels both elegant and welcoming. The property itself is beautiful — the buzzing lobby bar and outdoor terrace are great places to relax and get a drink at all times of day, and the rooms are spacious, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. The conference rooms were ideal for our meetings, and every space throughout the hotel feels calm, refined, and meticulously maintained. The service at the PuLi really sets itself apart. The restaurant offered consistently excellent food and warm, attentive service - I definitely recommend the breakfast every morning. The concierge team was incredibly helpful with recommendations, and guest services were prompt and professional throughout. Every interaction felt genuinely caring and personal. I’d come back to The PuLi in a heartbeat — whether for business or a personal getaway. It’s a place that truly understands hospitality and makes every guest feel special.

• joelQ3145WD (10/5): The Puli is my favorite hotel in the world - The Puli is my favorite hotel in the world. The rooms, pool & spa, restaurant and views are so satisfying in their quiet luxury. On any given evening my favorite thing to do after a day's work in Shanghai is to sit at the Long Bar in the lobby with a drink and some noodles while catching up on correspondence. It is a very civilized way to bring the day to a close.

• PARK (10/5): Puli _ jisu park - Almost everything was satisfactory. Thanks to the hotel, I think my trip to Shanghai will remain a better memory. Especially, I would like to tell you that the concierge male employee (in white uniform) who delivered the medicine on the last day was so kind and sweet. Wi-Fi connection and the data connection in the room was not good.
• E9817UMjackk (10/5): Classy 5 star stay in Jing An - Everything was perfect! The style of the hotel was classy and elegant. Our room was clean quiet with a nice view of the park and the temple.
• 737yulanf (10/5): Great Massage at UR Spa - I had an amazing experience at UR Spa in Puli Hotel, and I strongly recommend Jennifer Sherry! Her massage techniques are top-notch, and she made me feel completely relaxed and cared for throughout the session. The spa itself is beautiful. If you’re in the area, definitely treat yourself to a session.
• hiron197 (10/5): Oriental Elegance - While I lived in Shanghai the PuLi was s cherished destination: a place to host guests, enjoy Sunday branches, and experience the refined elegance for which hotel is known. I live in another country now but the PuLi is always my first accommodation option when I visit shanghai. Thank you for always providing the exceptional service and experience.
• Wennightingale (10/5): Amazing - I must commend two of your staff members, Jay and Goslin, for turning a potential inconvenience into a memorable display of excellent service. When we had a minor issue with our room key, Jay at the front desk apologized sincerely and resolved it in under a minute. To ensure our complete satisfaction, Goslin followed up with us later, offering a complimentary fruits plate as a gesture of goodwill. Their proactive approach and genuine concern, especially Jay's efficiency and Goslin's thoughtful follow-up, were far beyond our expectations.
• claraz323 (10/5): Great! - Our check-in experience was seamless, thanks to the fantastic front desk team, particularly Jay and Goslin. Jay greeted us with warm hospitality and quickly got us settled in. He then handed us over to Goslin, who provided a clear and detailed orientation of the hotel amenities and even marked a map with his personal recommendations for sightseeing. Their coordination was impeccable, making us feel incredibly well-cared for from the very first minute. A truly professional duo!

• erinh_bk (10/5): Great Experience - I always enjoy my stays at the Puli. Mike at concierage spent extra time helping to sort out my plans this trip and it made for a great day in the city. Only improvement that could be made is to the wait time during breakfast for the coffee. Other than that, I highly recommend staying here.
