• Pauline (10/5): Hôtel avec un bon rapport qualité-prix, nous reviendrons. - L’emplacement de l’hôtel est idéal, juste à côté du métro, avec pas mal de commerces et de restaurants autour. Il y a beaucoup de bruit, car l’hôtel est situé à côté d’un carrefour, mais les avis nous avaient prévenus.

• Bruce (8/5): Overall, good clean, efficiently run, value stay option. - Communication prior to check in was efficient. Self check in worked well. The room was small but cosy, more like a home bedroom than a standard hotel room which is nice. The location is great, parking after 5.30pm is free in the neighbourhood. The Northern line is meters away. The desk in the room was too small to work from. There are other room options but the one I was allocated would have been small for two people.

Ear Plugs are provided. - Convenient location - straightforward entry - nice sheets - clean towels WC was very squashed in corner so a bit of a squeeze to use (and I am slim). No instructions re Wifi. Got bitten by midgets but I don't know where from? Carpet? As a single female I did not feel safe as door to my room was flimsy so had propped a chair against door handle.

• Janette (8/5): Well situated with good facilities - It was well situated as we were doing the moonwalk which is a night walk starting from Clapham Common. Lots of local shops and restaurants.a good price and nice and clean. Good facilities. It was very noisy. Walls were quite thin although they did provide earplugs as I’m sure this has been said before, the busy pub next door, the buses the underground. But on the whole it was very adequate.

• Alika (9/5): - Das Zimmer war wirklich sehr sauber. Personal war total nett. Und die Lage war auch sehr gut - man hatte dort einen Supermarkt, Burger King, Tankstelle und eine U-Bahn Station.
• Jasmine (10/5): Perfect for the short getaway! - The room was well presented, clean and very cozy. The bed is a little close to the wall but realistically, you’re not doing gymnastics in there! The bathroom was sparkling clean and the shower was great! Yes, you’re on the main road but apart from the odd rumble of the tube, you don’t hear much at all. Parking is limited, but very reasonably priced at £10 for 24 hours. Make sure you call ahead if you want parking! You’re less than a minutes walk to Clapham South tube station, there’s loads of minimarts down the road, loads of local food options, petrol station across the road. This hotel has no lift so bear that in mind when you book but the stairs aren’t bad at all. The gent on the desk the day we arrived was very welcoming and the cleaning lady we saw was lovely too. We’ll definitely book here again. Personal gripe more than anything is that the bed is hard, but that’s just me. Other than that, nothing I didn’t like at all! Oh, maybe that the fridge is in an odd place but come on, a fridge! That’s great to have!

• Martina (9/5): S ubytovaním sme boli veľmi spokojní, napriek malej izbe a príliš mäkkému matracu sme si pobyt veľmi užili a nekazilo to - Ubytovanie sa nachádzalo v peknej lokalite kúsok od centra. V okoli bolo mnoho reštaurácii a obchodov. Izba bola útulná, čistá a nič nám nechýbalo. Naša izba (č.11) bola veľmi malá, skôr pre jedného ako pre dvoch. Taktiež posteľ nebola pohodlná, bola príliš mäkká. Možno tam mohla byt jedna stolička navyše.

• Sarah (9/5): Un chouette séjour à l'hotel Gateway! - Joli petit hôtel avec tout le nécessaire. Personnel fort agréable. Manque peut être une petite pièce avec une table pour pouvoir manger, et peut être la possibilité d'un petit déjeuner. En bord de rue, un peu bruyant mais le personnel offre des boules quies au besoin.

Quartier agréable (Clapham Common, nombreux commerces de nourriture, restaurants assez proches). Hotel tranquille, bonne isolation phonique de la rue pourtant bruyante. Chambre (en fait un petit appartement) très propre. Dans cet appartement, chambre très petite (il n'y a de place que pour le lit entre les murs de la chambre). Situation au 2ème étage, escalier très raide.

Aardig personeel en de mogelijkheid om de auto te parkeren was ook een vereiste van ons. De kleine douche maakte het douchen niet heel comfortabel. Onze kamer lag aan de drukke weg, ook is er waarschijnlijk een ziekenhuis in de buurt aangezien er ontzettend veel ambulances met sirenes langs kwamen. Wel lagen er oordoppen op het nachtkastje klaar voor ons dus dat was wel attent. Op andere reviews staat dat de kamer erg warm was aangezien er geen airco aanwezig is. Ik had er zelf geen last van maar mijn man heeft op een gegeven moment de ventilator, die beschikbaar was, aangezet.

• Almando (7/5): The stay at the gateway was good except for the noise on a Friday night. - The room was very clean. The location was very noisy on a Friday night. I could not sleep at all. The next morning I realized that ear plugs provided in the room. People were outside screaming, bikers were making noise, ambulance passing by, it was chaotic on a Friday night. Water in the shower could not exit the easily. The water piled up for a while.

• SHIZU (9/5): 快適でした！ - Very good location です。地下鉄駅から近い上にスーパーも近くにありました。 部屋は静かでとても広くて清掃も行き届いていました。 キッチンも洗濯機も付いていたので快適に過ごせました。 次回ロンドンを訪れる際にはまた宿泊したいです。 エレベーターが無かったので荷物の上げ下ろしが大変だった事だけです。

Foi possível guardar as malas antes do check-in e ainda conseguimos entrar mais cedo no quarto, o que foi bastante conveniente. O chuveiro funciona bem, com água quente, garantindo conforto após um dia de viagem. É uma opção simples, mas atende bem para uma estadia curta ideal para uma noite.

Bottom floor rooms feel trains going past. No air conditioning so need to open window to get air which lets in noise and flys. No lift, only stairs.
• deborah (5/5): Noisy inside and outside the room - The location was very good and very easy to find free parking on side roads. The room was at the front and incredibly noisy. Not just from the traffic noise, but also there was a a knocking in the room all night. I think it may have been the central heating pipes, but it meant that I didn't sleep at all. The room was cold even with the heating on. There was only one tiny bin in the bathroom. No long mirror. Hairdryer was sub standard.

• Dimitrios (9/5): - The room was spacious, extremely clean, well-organized, it had three large chairs, a huge bed with a very comfortable mattress, a proper-working TV, a spacious and tidy bathroom/shower, and lots of cupboards and drawers. The lighting options were very good, the fridge was operating well, the heating was alright and you could modify it at will. There was a hairdryer, facility to make tea/hot chocolate/coffee, which were provided along with biscuits! In general, the room had everything you might need, with a bonus side entrance for guests which helped with privacy and security. There could be some extra space for towel-drying/hanging after the shower, there was only one hanging rack where there could have easily been two. Also, the underground metro in the area did make some noise until before midnight, but the room was equipped with earplugs to help you sleep better through it.
