Guest Reviews
- SABRINA (8/5): - Breakfast was okay. Staff was nice. Had clean rooms but washroom is small.
- David (8/5): - Walking distance
- Gayle (8/5): - Room was clean although on the small size. Staff were excellent and helpful.
- Jimmy (8/5): Venetian tour! - This was a last minute booking as part of a tour of Venice. This hotel was very welcoming. Coffee making facilities made it more comfortable. Breakfast, which was included in the price was the usual continental affair along with bacon and scrambled eggs. Would certainly recommend this hotel.
- X755NAlilyr (10/5): A Truly Unforgettable Stay – Above and Beyond in Every Way 🌟 We will be returning - From the moment we arrived, this hotel exceeded every expectation. The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of Venice, close to all the major attractions, yet still peaceful and beautifully maintained.
One of the many highlights was the complimentary water taxi to Murano, which was such a thoughtful touch and made our day extra special. The hotel itself was immaculate, stylish, and incredibly comfortable – truly a relaxing oasis after busy days exploring the city.
What made our stay truly unforgettable, though, was the incredible staff, especially Alberto and Philip. They went above and beyond in every way – from assisting us with travel plans during the train strikes to adding beautiful personal touches that made our trip so memorable.
They helped celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday with a sweet handwritten note and delicious tiramisu waiting in our room when we returned from Murano. We left for dinner and upon our return, when they heard about our engagement, they surprised us with a bottle of their own house prosecco, which was light, crisp, and perfect for the occasion.
The level of care, warmth, and personalized attention we received made us feel truly at home – and incredibly valued as guests.
If you’re visiting Venice, don’t think twice – this hotel is a gem in every sense. We can’t wait to return. 💛
- Dream47489870791 (2/5): O Acto mais Ignóbil e desumano praticado por um hotel - Today, my wife is lying in a hospital bed in my city, Funchal, Madeira Island, where we know so well how to welcome our tourists, many of whom are Italian. I am writing this because to this day I cannot understand your attitude and refusal to change a reservation, even with associated penalties, because as I said before, it is an inhumanity never seen before and worthy of being recorded, albeit negatively. I consider that I was very mistreated by you and thrown out of your hotel without a minimum of decency and respect. I hope to return to Venice in September as I had requested of you and even with a larger group, God willing, and that my wife recovers completely. I will certainly pay you a courtesy visit, if only to meet the people behind the emails you sent and, if possible, arrange a meeting with your management, since I am one of the largest European importers of your ceramics, from the Imola Ceramics factory, as well as other no less important ones. I will certainly go and meet you to associate your face with a heinous act.
I remember and will never forget your posture and attitude.
- Charles (10/5): - Excellent location as very close to St. Marks Square yet not in a busy area so more quiet.
- David (10/5): - Great location with restaurant seating along the canal
- JulietFatts (4/5): NOT A FOUR-STAR PROPERTY - I'm a travel curator, and I've debated recommending this hotel to my mid-level/budget clients...but thank God held back til I could stay myself. Headline: This is not a 4-star hotel, by a long shot. A 3-star, perhaps. It's not the decor I have a problem with - traditional Venetian is fine, a tad dated, but you're not paying St. Regis prices. This property was on the lower end of the 4 and 5 star options, so around $350/night in late April. One month later it's going for nearly double. That is totally, laughably outrageous. The kicker for me was - on a sunny, 80+ degree day, they would not turn on the air con. At least not in the rooms. Their policy (which is becoming typical of hotels owned by foreigners who don't care about Venice) is to have AC on only in lobby, low. In May, they turn it on in guest rooms (and I'm guessing there's a limit to how low you can go). My tiny room overlooked narrow "calle", no ventilation, stuffy, HOT. Opening windows = mosquitos. So I laid there on my first night in Venice unable to sleep. It would be one thing if reception cared - but there was no care, no offer for a fan, no offer to change rooms to something more ventilated. I'm not the stereotypical entitled American tourist who thinks everything should be as it is at home. I believe in immersing yourself in their culture, not the other way around. But this was just elementary hospitality. No excuse. This is not a 4-star hotel, not even close. And too bad, because the location is great - near St. Mark's Square, but far enough that you're not slammed by humanity all day. Great bacari nearby (Magna Bevi Tasi for example), easy walking distance to Castello area (residential, great restaurants like A le Tole), overlooks canal (if you get a decent room) but again, hospitality 101: D+.
- ashleyoU1181AF (2/5): Nothing good - Mold clearly on walls coming from AC vents that do not work, even after checking with the front desk on how to properly work it, still no AC. While passing the front desk on our way out, we accidentally caught the front desk man scrolling through porn. Bed was two twins pushed together, so you have to be careful not to fall asleep on the crack. Cum stains on the he floor or something gross was not cleaned properly . Very bad place to stay I don't recommend it . Offering nothing to compensate this place is a joke .steer clearly.
- Susan (8/5): Great for short distance walking - Room door was a bit suspicious regarding locking mechanism. “Do Not Disturb” light kept switching off. Unable to control AC/Fan due to overtaking building temperature control. Room felt stuffy at times and had to open windows with screaming children in the courtyard. Often times we could hear dishes clanking as there was a kitchen downstairs.
Bathtub/shower had mold and multiple cracks. Felt uncomfortable showering in the restroom.
Walls are lined with fabric and they are noticeably dirty.
Our room was extremely large which allowed great space for luggage and lounging. Hôtel was in great distance of restaurants and cafes. It was also very close to popular attractions.
- kevinocallaghan (4/5): Trip to Venice - Hotel not 4 star standard, needs refurbishment.Majority of staff helpful, one older gentleman on reception unpleasant.Room was spacious but grubby, needs painting.Good location.Good selection of restaurants nearby.Cannit comment on food as we didn't avail .
- Alejandra (4/5): - As soon as we checked the bed, there was hair all over every blanket and sheet. There was stains on sheets and yellow stains on matress cover. We asked if we could get the sheets changed, they asked us to leave so they could change the sheets. We left, came back 4 hours later.. they only changes the top blabkets without changing the stained sheets. I had to reauest more clean sheets so that i could do ut myself.
- Leisha (10/5): - The property was in a great location, surrounded by tourist attractions and great restaurants.
The staff where friendly and you could leave your bag on the last day of travel before going to the airport.
Would stay again
- Rossella (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay here. Our room was spacious, clean and really had an authentic feel to it.
The staff were very helpful.
- Jane (8/5): - Perfect location; short and easy walk from San Zaccaria waterbus stop (no bridges to cross), then 5-10 minute walk to San Marco and 10-15 minute walk to Rialto.
Plenty of restaurants and shops locally.
Nice and clean hotel with big rooms and very clean.
Friendly staff.
Recommended for mid-price in Venice.
- the_instant (8/5): Great overall - We had a pleasant stay at Ai Due Principi. We stayed 5 nights at ~US$125 per night, including all taxes and fees, in mid-December. This seemed completely reasonable since it was relatively easy to walk from the hotel all over Venice. Our double room on the second floor (floor with rooms numbered 100+) was spacious. Even the bathroom was roomy. Our windows looked out on the hotel courtyard. The mattress was firm. Everything was clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Our only complaints: the pillows were very thin and flat, and the heated towel bar was so hot that it kept the entire bathroom heated. Would stay here again.
- Ellise (8/5): - Nice
- Terry (10/5): - The room was clean, comfortable and decorated to have a nice classy feel. Loved the jacuzzi. The staff at the restaurant were very nice and took good care of us at meal time. Location is excellent, right on gondola row and close to St. Mark Square. Not a dock at the hotel but only 4-5 minutes walk from the dock.
- Adele (8/5): - Cute hotel! Great service. The rooms are tiny.
- Evgeny (6/5): - Average hotel overall.
Overpriced due to its location - biggest advantage. Interior is old fashioned Venician style- not my favorite, but spacious. Service - did not feel it at all
- billyjamesf2024 (2/5): A/C broken and it was very hot! No help or switching rooms! - The air conditioning was broken and it was VERY HOT.
We asked 5 times for them to fix it and we never received any help. We asked for water because our room was so hot and we still payed full price. The kitchen was right next door to our room and was very loud in our room 107.
Not worth the price!
- Erick (10/5): - Au Principi was amazing, very nice central location, beautiful rooms, great restaurant along the water(highly recommend) and philippe did his all to make sure we had all we needed. 10/10
- KIB1811 (8/5): Helpful staff, beautiful big bedroom, huge bathroom. - Staff very helpful, they organised a FREE tour to Murano for us including transport (on the way out), and they arranged our water taxi back to the airport on our behalf with no issues (as an aside, I know it's expensive but 100% recommend getting the water taxi to the airport - this was honestly a highlight of my trip!) - room was pretty big, beautifully decorated in a venetian style, nice modern (huge!) bathroom. Breakfast was very basic. Great location, a short walk to St Marc's square but a generally quiet area nonetheless. Right by the water, so a nice view as we left each morning! Expensive but not different to the rest of Venice, really.
- Rhonda M (10/5): - The staff was fantastic. We Loved our room, location, people, breakfast,
Our server
- E2906AGlaurah (6/5): Nice hotel. Some issues. - Nice hotel.
Friendly staff. Nice breakfast.
The heated tower rail was broken in our room making our room very, very hot. We had to have our windows open to cool it down which let mosquitoes in. The cleaners would have seen this as they were cleaning our room but it was not fixed.
My fiancé had one drink from the mini bar in the fridge but we were charged for two. When we complained about this, we were given a refund for the one drink we were overcharged for.
You can not get a drink in the hotel past 9.30/ 10pm.
- James (8/5): - Great location. Quiet at night but durning the day we had the first floor room and the kitchen staff sounded like they were in the room. The Shower took a little to figure out but once we did it was fine
Staff we helpful. perfect place location wise
we suggest not getting a room on the ground floor
- sisyphus2017 (6/5): Overpriced and best avoided - Average food. Over priced. Avoid. The one a few metres along the canal is a much better option and was busier than ours. Why did we not choose there? The loos, however, are fairly clean so that’s one positive. Ignore the waiter’s pleas for you to dine there.
- SteveBressi (8/5): We would stay here again - We enjoyed our stay and I do not understand all the negative reviews. Hotel Ai Due Principi is a good 3 star hotel.
Positives: The room was clean and well stocked and equipped. The clerk on duty during the day was helpful. We got the superior room (recommended) and it was large. The Bed was comfortable (if you like a hard mattresses). The room provided plenty of storage. Storage was superior to the other places we stayed. The Shower was great. The breakfast buffet was good. The service provided by the attendant was excellent. The WIFI worked great. The hotel Ai Due Principi was conveniently located. The hotel was a short 5-minute walk to the Grand Canal waterfront and Riva Degli Schiavone. The hotel was a ten-minute walk to St Marks Piazza
What could be improved · The Service was not consistent. The Hair dryer kept blowing out. The first time we requested a hair dryer - no one showed up with one. On our way out for dinner, we saw the evening clerk delivering a dryer to another room. The next time the hair dryer blew out, the day clerk was working and he delivered one immediately, The ventilation system delivers noise and odors from the restaurant below. We quickly got used to it.
- Fatma (8/5): - Good location and clean!
- KENNETH (8/5): - Great location. Wait staff were very friendly. House cleaning was just okay. Couldn’t turn AC any lower than 20 Celsius.
- Yasir (8/5): - Hotel was at great location but bit expensive. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
- HappyGuy2 (2/5): One of the most disappointing hotel experiences of my life - Disgusting filthy rat trap that markets itself as a nice hotel and charges for it. I walked right by thinking this obviously awful tourist trap restaurant could not possibly be my hotel and it must be one of the two across the canal which looked like (and are) four star hotels, one of them didn't have a sign so I walked in and they told me to go back across the bridge.
Staff are awful expecting you to he happy when they spit in your face and give you the keys to a filthy room with broken furniture and fixtures and stains all over. Cigarette butts from previous guests left in pots and ashtrays; we don't smoke. Did I mention that the hair dryers' fans don't work and just start smoking and burning the plastic? Did I inform the staff, and they made it clear they could care less?
Marketing and price suggest it's a nice hotel but this is the bottom of the barrel. The sad thing is places like this make tourists think Italy has horrible service, awful food, disgusting hotel rooms, and everything is a total rip off, when the truth is quite different if you are not in a tourist trap.
- Sheilee (10/5): - .
- Chandler (10/5): - Wonderful location! The hotel exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend
- John (10/5): - Nice clean hotel worth the money
- antonio (8/5): - Walking distance to all main attractions. Far from the hustle and bustle when you need a break.
- Jimmy (8/5): - This was in an unexpected location and a good bit of a walk from the primary ferry terminals. Not a problem if you know what you're getting into. I expected to be able to be dropped off right at the door but it's not accessible by the private water taxis. Family of 5 with 3 weeks worth of luggage was a spectacle. Turns out that it's a nice quiet location and reasonably close to activity but you can get out of it as well. I would likely stay again now knowing what i'm getting into but probably not with a family of 5. Room is small - even in the 5 bed suite but a nice place overall and super friendly staff - i simply had a different set of expectations going in and it was rather off and VERY pricy for the room.
- Kim (10/5): - The staff was excellent. Very friendly, beautiful hotel. Very close to everything. Will stay there again.
- Cinthia (10/5): Beautiful - Great location
- Philip (8/5): - Location was perfect. Ability to eat breakfast by the canal while the world went by was unique. Breakfast good.
Room immaculate. Bit weird with shower in the corner of bedroom but very happy with stay.
- Patrick (10/5): - Great
- Dennis (10/5): - This hotel is conveniently located - very accessible via vaporetto and near tourists attractions.
The main selling point of this hotel is the staff . They are all very accommodating, helpful, friendly and they go beyond their duties and responsibilities . Special mention to Jarwin Gonzales and Joanna who made our stay very memorable , relaxing and worthwhile . They are the gems of this hotel .
As to the amenities and cleanliness of this hotel , we can say that it’s so far very clean. The shower although small is updated and the bathroom is well lit with both male and female commodes . Everything has been provided from shampoo, conditioner , soap, shower caps and house slippers .
Not so many hotels in Venice provide breakfast and this one does . The manager of the hotel assists guests everyday and look after their needs not only during breakfast but he is available throughout the day.
We highly recommend this hotel not only because it is strategically located but mainly because the staff makes you feel you are not only a guest but a family .
- Martyn (4/5): - If you want a moody receptionist, cold showers and stale bread for breakfast then this is the hotel for you
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location is fantastic, close to water buses , the square and in walking distance to everything. The food in the restaurant was really good as well (lasagne) staff very friendly and if you can get a canal balcony room you will really enjoy it , absolutely loved the view from our room and it’s next door to the best mask shop in Venice . Enjoy
- C (4/5): - My room was on the ground floor behind the check in area beside the elevator and courtyard. My windows looked out to a courtyard with staff walking back and forth so I had to have the curtains drawn. It was very odd and expensive.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean, central yet not too busy outside, excellent breakfast buffet, Prompt room cleaning and room service
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The bathroom was so unsafe and the shower head was not in the right position
- Kiyo (8/5): - The lack of supermarket near the hotel, it would be really great if can provide free bottle of water at least.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel room was pretty good. Great location and staff. But we basically stayed in the back of a restaurant.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Small hotel, signs on elevator telling you to not bring certain foods into hotel room to eat, lock on door to our room was broken most of the time, staff was very pushy at restaurant (kept trying to sell us on more expensive wine), lousy breakfast buffet, didn't replace toilet paper throughout the stay, layout of room was not good for a family
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We were provided with a room on the main floor immediately adjacent to the dining area for guests and could hear wait staff creating noise all evening until the kitchen closed. Also, the door would not lock from the outside and at one point a confused diner looking for the washroom facilities was able to just walk right into our room when the door was closed.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Right on the canals and easy to get to from the WaterBus drop off location even with a large roller bag - but they could do with better exterior signage as I walked past it twice because I could not see a sign indicating the hotel's very narrow entrance. Quick walks to most of the sites was appreciated. But the room was very "tight" and the location next to the morning breakfast area was not conducive to sleeping in when on vacation.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent location. Friendly staff. The classic room was a bit on the small side although a huge bathroom but everything you need really. I would recommend.
- Tarun (8/5): Enjoyable trip at Venice! - Nice stay! Hotel is conveniently located. Rooms are spacious and has a small courtyard covering the 7-8 rooms. Has a canal in the front where you get gondola and close to pubic taxis (boats). The rooms and bathrooms are of differing sizes but spacious and spacious well appointed. Did not take the breakfast there so no comments. For tourism it is very close to the important spots including the grand canal and the Basilica. Staff is as courteous and supportive. My family liked the place.
- Sandip (8/5): Nice stay - Nice apartment. Could do with a little updating but good overall
- Ryan (10/5): - Great location right opposite a canal. Surrounded by restaurants. Beautiful loacation.
- Sharon (10/5): - The location is ideal. The room is magnificent. The breakfast is delicious.
- Tom (10/5): - Good location, easily walkable to St Marks Square. Breakfast was adequate. Nice hotel, would definitely recommend.
- Angela (10/5): - It was very close to some of the major attractions, San Marco square, gondolas, water buses, restaurants, only a short walk to the Rialto Bridge. It was great to be able to walk because we ate and drank some great food and wine!
- Jennie (6/5): Great location - Ground floor room not so great! - Lovely hotel with great location. However our room was on the ground floor. Think it’s the only room on the ground floor so felt very odd and could often hear some noise from outside. It felt very out of place.
The shower door was also broken upon our first shower, my husband went to close it and fell onto him whilst into the shower, it was snapped at the sides so had clearly been broken before we arrived but slotted back onto the attachments of the door, we reported this but did not get any feedback from the hotel other than returning to the room and the door being removed and then having to shower with no door for the remaining of the weekend!.
For the ground floor reason I would not stay at this hotel again due to risk of getting this room, that is the only main negative point I have. The room was comfy, very clean and cleaned daily too. I expect a different room I would be writing a different review.
- Peter (6/5): Good position but in need of some TLC - Hotel was ideally placed for a visit to Venice 5 to 10 minuets walk from most of the main sights great restaurants on the doorstep water taxis are just around the corner as are the gondola pick up points.
The room was not of the standard seen in the promotional material it was to say the least basic but very clean
Breakfast was typical but plenty of choice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): No Better Location for the Money! - Incredible view over the canal, impressive location and friendly helpful staff. The room was clean, tidy but a little basic. But that was no issue as ultimately the room was used as a base to get around Venice and for that it worked incredibly.
- TGreene (8/5): - We just returned from this property and we stayed 6 nights. We are a family of 4 with two teenage children so we got two rooms side by side.
The staff was just lovely and helpful in every way. Since parking is so hard in this town they even parked the car a few times when we could not find a spot. Giuliani was very accommodating to us in this regard. The front desk staff was very helpful for dinner and beach chair reservations. Sergio would make us a great Aperol Spritz each night which was something I looked forward to.
The hotel location is why you want to book this hotel. A block from town but yet so peaceful and quiet. We were in the back of the hotel. Rooms 408 and 409. Great view of the town and also were able to watch the sunset. Our rooms were very small is my only complaint. 409 especially. If you are a big person the shower will be hard to maneuver. I could not even shave my legs in the shower and I am 5’2”. No way to bend over. 408 was slightly bigger. We booked 7 months in advance and the bigger rooms were no longer available. We completely fell in love with Forte dei Marmi abd I would highly recommend this town. We will 100% come back to the town and to a Hotel Goya.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall, this was a pretty good experience. We enjoyed our stay and the location was quite good. The room was very clean and quiet. The location allowed us to easily move throughout the city. The bathroom and showers were clean and worked good. We felt the bed was not very comfortable, but was adequate. Also, while the staff was not rude they were also not very friendly. More attention to quality customer service and general friendliness could push this to 5 star rating.
- robynn (4/5): Customer UN-service! - This hotel does not seem to like having guests or they do not realize they are in the customer service industry. When we arrived at the taxi drop off area & then walked 45 minutes & walked over many bridges (& not to mention an 9 hour overnight flight) the hotel door was locked at 10:45 am. We were perplexed as how to get in. The front desk attendant arrived after a few minutes & acted suprised to have guests arriving. He then let us in & allowed us to check in early but I was not sure he was going to check us in early. The room was clean, comfy bed, good A/C & good size bathroom but the hotel does NOT offer any concierge services & doesn’t seem to even want to interact with their guests in a friendly manner, at all, except for maybe one of the staff members. Also, the breakfast was not good at all! You had to wait for staff to arrive & make you a cup of coffee & I felt like I was imposing to even ask. Don’t pay extra to include breakfast when you can get a coffee for 4 euros a few doors down & find what you really want for breakfast somewhere else. We quickly realized that this was not going to be a enjoyable hotel experience. Wish we had picked a hotel with a conceirge service, bar area for an appertivo & better hotel atmosphere.
- Felipe (10/5): Pleasant stay - The hote was lovely and very well located. The only downsides were the pillows, that’s if I had to pick at something but otherwise I really enjoyed my two night stay. Staff were helpful when needing to make an urgent call to the UK/airline. Great air conditioning.
Thank you for a great stay
- marie (8/5): Excellent location! Close to st. Marks square - Fabulous room, friendly staff, beautiful breakfast in a lovely courtyard, we loved our stay here
- Pamela (10/5): Hotel Ai Du Principie, Venice - Lovely hotel very near to everything. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast very good and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you everyone at the hotel for all your help.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice location but staff is off-putting - The location of the property is fantastic...next to a canal and convenient to shopping and San Marcos Plaza. The staff, upon checking in was not very friendly and we were very uncomfortable about writing our credit card # down...not very secure. The hotel was paid, but the staff did not seem to know that and needed to spend 10 minutes looking it up. Not happy with that at all.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The hotel has a very good location and is quiet, which we appreciated. I found the hotel overpriced for what it offers and the number of stars (4).
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hotel location was awesome, just minutes from attractions but on quiet street/canal. Clean, friendly,
helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent hotel in good location - One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in. A minor blemish was leaking shower hose. Otherwise wonderful room and facilities. Beautiful interiors.
- C (8/5): Great location - Nice clean hotel, great central location. Only strange thing is that the front desk controls everything for your room-temperature control, towel warmer. Otherwise, nice.
- Mo (10/5): - Pleasent location located in the heart of Venice with surrounding areas attractive to tourists and prime location for sight seeing. From Gondola ride just outside the front door to walking distance to SAN Marco and Ospedalo. Definitely will recommend friends and family.
- Wildflower (10/5): Very Nice Hotel - Our room had a balcony so we are able to walk out and look at the people passing by. It was right next to an nice Italian restaurant. You also could walk about 50 ft up the block and take a Gondola ride.
The room was very spacious and clean. The hotel also offered a free Continental breakfast which was a plus for us. If we should ever return to Venice we would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nice room and great location but overpriced. Basic continental breakfast and dated, poorly configured lobby, bar and 'restaurant' area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel close to San Marco Plaza - Affordable place which has top comfort, nice staff, and great location!
- Trevor (8/5): - Clean and comfortable. Decent area, only a short walk from San Marco Square and the Rialto Bridge. A pretty long walk from the train station though. Not any outstanding restaurants around but you can easily walk a short distance to find one. Showers are awesome.
- Rachel (8/5): Nice quaint hotel on a canal - We stayed in Venice for 3 nights on our honeymoon. The hotel was clean, spacious, quiet and in a great location close to San Marcos square. Staff were friendly and overall we had a great experience.
- John (4/5): Rude staff, Uncomfortable bed - Instead of a King size two single mattresses were attached side to side with huge gap in between! Very uncomfortable!
The reception guy was not friendly and welcoming.
- Bret C. (8/5): Very comfortable and close to St. Marks - Comfortable hotel centrally located in a very unique city. Staff was helpful and the room was comfortable. Nice view of a canal, and located in a quite area. Breakfast was good and the person serving it very friendly. It was a little tough to get the temperature moderated in the room with the heater seeming to resist adjustments. Since it was November, an open window solved the problem. Close to a dock for various forms of water transportation.
- Fox (8/5): Hotel Ai Due Principi, Venice - This is a well located property in Venice. The staff is professional and helpful. Our room was magnificent. My only complaint is that coffee options prior to 8:00 are limited, and unacceptable by American standards.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Concierge was not helpful. They just check you in and out. Facilities were average.
- Ivan (8/5): Great Hotel in Venice - Great
- Verified traveler (10/5): Would stay here again - Great location, friendly staff
- Gayle (10/5): An oasis in Venice - It is away from the crowded feeling of San Marco and is located in the Castello area of Venice. It is quieter
and calmer . The rooms are lovely and the bathrooms spacious. Bed is comfortable. Staff are helpful. There are
restaurants and shops nearby. If you need to take the water bus, it is is within walking distance.
- Kevin (10/5): Nice hotel with a great location - We loved the room they upgraded into. We had a nice view of the canals. The location was close to everything and also not as crazy touristy which was great. We were able to find places that were for the locals which is phenomenal. The hotel breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend staying here. It's relatively close to the water taxi dock with only 1 bridge to cross. We had a baby with us and a stroller so being close to the taxi dock was critical.
- Hambir (2/5): Hotel near the canal - The staff was very rude while check-in, not helpful and made the experience horrible. The 1st night our daughter had an emergency (passing out episode) and our doctor asked us to bring her back to US and have her checked out / conduct tests. We preponed our flights to next morning and asked for a checkout on medical grounds, but again the hotel staff was not understanding and rude! They kept saying we will have to pay for all nights we had booked ( which is completely contrary to any hotel, where if you stay one night then they allow you to checkout early even without reason!). We ended up paying for most of our stay as we didn't want to argue anymore with them and had to run to the airport to catch our flight back home. I would highly recommend everyone to look at other options if you are planning a vacation in Venice!!
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Best hotel we stayed at during our two weeks in Europe! Very nice accommodations, walking distance to all major attractions, great Wifi!
- michael (10/5): - Staff was great. told us about restaurants, best way to get around including back to the airport.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Little hidden gem in Venice - Fabulous location and fabulous hotel !
- Verified traveler (10/5): - wonderful staff, ok breakfast but fabulous location and beautiful building
- MICHELLE SOLOMON (10/5): Wonderful stay! - Rooms were spacious and clean. Location was perfect. Only thing missing was arranged transportation to and from the airports and train stations, Would definitely stay here again!
- sabah (10/5): - Good hotel with almost everything in Venice at a walkable distance. Helpful staff.
Room was beautiful.
- Marc-Andre (8/5): Lovely staff - Lovely hotel, very well situated and really good value for money. The rooms were very clean and quite big (at least the deluxe was). The bathtub in the deluxe room was also very much appreciated (a rare sight in Europe). The staff was very helpful at suggesting good restaurants and handing out information about the city. Would definitely recommend. However the wifi was quite dodgy and would constantly disconnect and the pillows were quite hard and uncomfortable.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Quiet and convenient - We truly enjoyed our stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful. This hotel was a short walk away from Piazza San Marco and the tourist crowds, yet it was set back out of the hustle and bustle and extremely peaceful. We loved our room, which was perfect for our family of five and came with a beautiful little balcony where we could watch the gondolas glide down the canal.
- Francisco (8/5): Well situated and central - The room was lovely, overlooking the canal, and well decorated. The staff ranged from excellent to mediocre when asked to print a document for us. The internet was really bad, never really working in our room, only in the lobby. Breakfast was just OK, but with good service. Great location near San Marco, shopping and restaurants.
- Bradley (10/5): Best of Venice Italy - Booked the Junior suite and it felt like a full suite. 3 windows and a small balcony all with a view of the gondola boats and their romantic singing. Breakfast was excellent by European standards (it was in Europe not Orlando).
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent location - Good hotel. Room a little small and we were disappointed to see that it was right off the lobby, but it was very quiete and breakfast was served in a pretty little courtyard. Very peaceful. Good hotel - clean and good service, excellent location.
