Guest Reviews
- Nicole (7/5): -
- Derek (9/5): Great - The location is quiet yet very close to MTR station and shopping malls. The wall and door are a bit old and need some upgrades.
- Watcharin (5/5): Price is only reason to stay here - Price during New Year celebration is acceptable Room has no sound proof.
You can hear everything outside including sound of inside others room.
The quality of the pillow is bad.
The fibers in the pillow clump together, making the pillow rough and uncomfortable to sleep.
- Jasmine (7/5): - Good location Very dirty walls. Need a fresh coat of paint.
- Cherylle Anne (10/5): Our trip was so accessible - The property was a very good location, it was walking distance going to the MTR, going to the Ladies Market, Sneaker St and Lung Fung Mall The property was perfect we have nothing to say against it
- Tomoko (8/5): Bien placé - Agencement simple mais suffisant. Chambre était tres humide. Mais ça doit être à cause de la pluies.
- KaWai (5/5): -
- Marlow (8/5): Very good -
- Raymond (4/5): adequate for short stay - location in close proximity to Mongkok MTR station Room cleanliness requires a serious review. There are too many ants in the room. Room door security, Toilet shampoo is as good as food starch, practically useless for washing hair
- Ryuhei (7/5): Good - The location is quite convenient. Room is clean enough. Bed is so-so; not so big. In my room, air conditioner works too well. I mean, the remote controller does not work, and air conditioner works hard all the time. So the room is pretty cold. When I sleep, I have to remove the room card to stop the air conditioner. But in that time, all electro-facilities are also stopped. You cannot charge your lap-top and cell-phone if you remove the card, off course. This is not good.
- James (4/5): Uncomforatble - It wasn't in the worst location, and it was open 24 hours, it had a TV. The staff were pleasant enough. The room was very small, and completely run down, difficult to justify the money paid to then have a room like that. Wouldn't recommend
- Billy (1/5): Smallest room - Location Small
- Ronald (9/5): Superb -
- Ronald (9/5): it was great and would recommend to others - how i was treated was nice and they spoke english and tried to help me when they could. would recommend they couldnt call a taxi for me directly to the hotel
- Óscar (7/5): Great staff, bad room. - The room was disgusting but the staff was really kind, they made the experience worth the money. Location was good.
- Limbu (4/5): Disappointing -
- Aruna (6/5): Pleasant -
- Max (8/5): Very good -
- Quek (3/5): Poor - Nothing. Room not as advertised. Extremely tiny Room. Air conditioning flows overhead make us sick. No bottle water. The room assigned is not the superior room with views we paid for. Toilet water running noise whole 3 nights - caused loss of sleeps. The 2 cups are tiny toy sizes. The morning call we requested didn't work. Definitely not 3 stars hotel.
- Sing (7/5): Good - Good location transport
- Marcus (9/5): Superb -
- Tan (8/5): Very good -
- Mathew (5/5): Passable - Its hard to exactly say because the cost of stuff in hong kong as a european the prices and what you is absolutely insane. The room was so small and price for that is crazy! But that was the best price i could find in our budget and your out most of the day exploring anyway so
- Linber (4/5): Disappointing - Location No bidet, noise can be heard inside, inhospitable female frontdesk, the male frontdesk is very good; there are ants inside the room.
- 俊衛 (9/5): Superb -
- Hana (8/5): Good to go for short stay - It was nice and clean, near one of the main streets Internet was so slow
Bathroom was without door because the room was so small
- Stefan (1/5): Utterly disappointed. I can't believe this managed to get listed on Booking.com! - The location was quite easy to find and relatively convenient to get around. The rooms are tiny even for Hong Kong standards, which may still be acceptable if they are clean, but they weren't. This place is run down, dirty, has cockroaches, and equipment is held together by household tape. The blankets are ridiculous for the winter temperatures, and the AC in the rom does not heat. Extra blankets are not available, and the towels wouldn't have kept me any warmer either with the many holes in them... Unbelievable that booking.com would list such a dump. Had it not been a local holiday season with neighboring properties fully booked, I would have refused to stay here!
- Valerie (8/5): Very good -
- Marisa (8/5): Very good - A guy staff at reception is very helpful and good English speaker
- Anton (7/5): Good - The hotel is of the price/quality category. The advantages are that they didn't charge money in advance, payment was made upon check-in.
- Kean (9/5): Superb -
- Alice (1/5): No comment - No comment No comment
- Shu (7/5): In general it’s quite a comfortable and convenient place! - The bed is big and comfortable :) and AC is not too cold / too hot, and it’s not blowing to people. Location is wonderful, they are close to the MTR station but in a quiet street! It’s quite small, we can only leave one luggage opened otherwise there is no room for aisle. Also the bath room and toilet have limited space.
- Prathana (7/5): No cleaning service even though hang the tag in front of the door - Storage fee should be free
- Archibald (8/5): Very good -
- Sambaoa (5/5): Passable -
- To-tam (7/5): Simple, clean, budget hotel in the heart of Mong Kok - * Location was convenient to subway and shopping
* Elevator was convenient and working well
* Front desk had water bottles available for sale
* Room had air conditioning
* Bathroom towels were changed every day
* Bathroom had swinging doors to bathroom and shower
* Shower had soap and shampoo
* Beds and sheets were clean * Rooms had a slight musty smell
* Some small bugs were seen the first night (but no bed bugs were found)
* It would have been nice to also have conditioner in the bathrooms
* One of our rooms had a smoke smell (likely from a previous guest or someone smoking nearby)
* Loud noise from another room nearby, late into the night (but it was Christmas night)
- Wisit (6/5): Pleasant - The staff provided good service. - On the day of check-in, all rooms were full. I got a non-smoking room but it smelled of cigarette smoke. I couldn't change rooms. Luckily I only stayed one night.
- There is no bathroom door, but there is a curtain instead.
- Akara (5/5): Passable -
- Kwong- (6/5): Pleasant -
- Antonio (10/5): Exceptional - "Bigger" room than avarage standard hong kong hotel rooms.
Clean but feel that the hotel and rooms are in need of some restauration and freshness.
Overall, for a few days is more than ok. All good
- Dwight (2/5): Very run down. - Location Everything.
- Vidhyakar (8/5): Very good -
- Greg (5/5): Passable -
- Radhouane (7/5): Great for a stopover base to visit Jobg King, both to individuals and families - Close to the buzzy part of Hong Kong. Easy check-in and check-out and you can keep your luggage with them after check-out. Friendly people halt to help. Two aircons in the room. Great food and transport facilities nearby A bit run down facility. If you are picky with how the room should be you might struggle with it. Things like a fridge, toilet brush, etc.
- Daniel (7/5): place was really affordable for a great location in HKG - location was really good. just a few mins walk from the mall, ladies, market and sneaker street wifi was a bit laggy
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Hot water and strong WiFi Small.
- Gurung (8/5): Lovely, vibrant - Its location, very close to langham palace and mongkok MTR.
The housekeepers were really nice and cleaned the room everyday. Kudos to them. At first, there was a hint of cigarette smell but it went away after few days.
- Geimar (7/5): Good -
- Superkit888 (8/5): Very good - Fantastic location in the central of mongkok. Easy access with all transports to anywhere you wanted to go .Buses /MTR/19 seater mini van/trains to china from west Kowloon station very convenient.local street market ,food hall.most shops and restaurants open till late or 24/7.
Stronger recommend it. None
- Abusabal (6/5): Pleasant -
- Vidhyakar (7/5): Good -
- Charlie (2/5): Very poor -
- Saumei (5/5): Pleasant staff. Convenient to shops. Room wise, not great for the price paid - Location was good, handy to all shops and restaurants. Initial thought of the hotel room was 'very tiny and run down' and very very small single room but was comfortable enough with cleanliness and very accessible to shops etc. Receptionist was friendly and helpful. Would I stay in this hotel again? Yes and no as there are better options in the area with similar prices. It was quite run down the room and fixtures in the room were quite old which wasn't pleasant to look at. It needs refurbishment, it'd definitely be more comfortable and give a more pleasant feel staying there.
- Chan (5/5): Friendly staff but poor hotel facilities! - The location of Metacity MK is good as very near to Mongkok MTR as well as nearby Ladies Market. Beside that, the front desk guys was friendly & good communication and handed over my request one to another. The hotel lobby renovated new & clean. However, once you go up to the room there is a strong cigarette smell, hotel room is old & small. The curtain blind is unable close it fully, I got to ask the staff to fix it in my room. But, the staff provided extra towel to cover the window hole as he didn't manage to fix it. The towel for shower is very poor condition with 2 holes. And, inside room didn't provide fridge. Also, the room got cigarrette smell, toilet mirror looks like already hundred years & air cond is too powerful cool ! Besides, inside the room didn't have bottled water. So, if needed have to buy it at front desk for bottled water HK$5. Luggage storage for check out also need to charge HK$50! Everything about money for this hotel. First time also last time!
- Barry (1/5): Manky Gaf - Location Dirty
- Wong (2/5): Very poor -
- Victor (8/5): Very good -
- Monika (3/5): citybreak weekend - i had to leave deposit for the room but i do not know for what. there was nothing really you could damage there
- Yossakorn (9/5): Superb -
- Mika (9/5): Superb -
- Ka (6/5): Pleasant -
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Alicia (5/5): Fair stay. The only good point is the location of the property. - It is near ladies market, sneaker street, shopping area and lots of restaurants nearby. The property is hard to find. The Management of the property did not provide for the sketch or instructions on how to find the place from mongkok mtr station. Most of the person in the reception are not nice. Only 1 person encountered was accommodating to lent us a weighing scale for luggage. The room is also small and not value for money.
- Pui (1/5): Dirty Duvet! There was a rice on the duvet! No blanket at all! Wet tissues! Dirty floor. - NA Dirty Duvet! There was a rice on the duvet! No blanket at all!
Wet tissues! Dirty floor.

- Jordan (5/5): Passable -
- Winnie (7/5): Good -
- Cheryl (6/5): It’s okey - Convenient place Window blinds is not working well, Better use a thick curtain.
- Yukonthorn (3/5): Terrible - My room was so disgusting. Also It was like a room that no one had been in for a long time. The lady at reception is very unfriendly
- Valentine (8/5): Very good - Always cleaned and brilliant location in Mong Kok, close to everything. Great place to be for a tourist.
- Christopher (7/5): Good -
- Christopher (6/5): I would probably go back there next time in HongKong - I would rate this hotel as quite good relative to others in its price range Poor WIFI
- Julie (1/5): Bad - Location Bed was like a slab of concrete hardly slept at all
- Tze (7/5): Good - It’s well equipped as a hotel, consider not too bad. Bed is not comfortable enough, as well as the pillow. How good if there’s one more pillow. Anyway as a budget hotel, can’t complaint much.

- Wellington (7/5): Basic, in an unique area, good enough for a night or two. - Location is good, close to shops, restaurants, markets, station. the area is busy but safe, not the prettiest but you can see a non-touristic side of Hong Kong. Wi-Fi works fine, the rooms are clean, the reception available 24/7. The rooms are small and very basic. Good enough to rest after a long day sightseeing.
- Kwok (4/5): Bearable for a solo traveller for a few days. - Location was good. The staff was helpful. The room was so small, I didn’t even have a wardrobe or anywhere to hang up my clothes. Literally had to live out of a suitcase. The windows would not close properly so I was bitten by mosquitoes every night.
