- Richard (10/5): - I’d recommend this place. I’ve stayed in a lot of “affordable” places in central London and this is one of the good ones. Very good value. Helpful staff. I often worry that these old buildings might have damp but that wasn’t the case. It was clean and comfortable. It was a hot day so I asked the concierge for a fan. He came up straight away and it turned out there was a very big fan attached to the wall that I’d somehow failed to notice. I felt a bit silly but the point is he came straight away. The bathroom was clean and modern. The shower was hot. The TV is a Roku I slept in too late for breakfast (9 - 10:30) so I can’t comment on that. All in all it was a very good experience with no complaints.

- Tina (8/5): Different Hotel - A little strange, book in at reception then have to walk out and go to front ofbuildings in through a front door up 3 flights of stairs that got narrower as you went upEverything brand new in room & bathroom , it was small but we only there 1 night nice remote control fan on wall, we needed it on all night, in morning back out front door round corner to basement room for breakfast I would book again but ask for a ground or first floor room 😂

- Surma (6/5): - Check in was a bit confusing as the hotel is not attached to the same building, I had to go to a side building. It was a bit expensive, the building I stayed had no left so if you’re staying with children, it may be a bit difficult as my floor was on the second floor and very narrow stairs. The room had weird smell, so I had to use my perfume. The room has very basic decor as leading to my room the corridor just think of cigarettes. Apart from that, it was fine.

- Amy (4/5): Won't be staying again - Thought this was a perfectly fine budget hotel until I woke up covered in bites, really quite severe (approximately 30 on mostly my face, neck and hands). I asked to change room which they were happy to arrange, but more bites the next morning.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Not a great place to stay - Not a great hotel. Firstly, we were directed to a difderebt hotel to that which we had booked, no explanation regarding breakfast and using shower or TV in the room. Really long climb up 3 flights of stairs to our room, which didn't feel all that safe, stairs very naarow and leaning, especially when carrying your luggage. Ensuite was too small and not effective. Room overall was not clean, walls, switches and caroet were all dirty and dusty. Also not happy to be staying in a hotel where there are building works below your rooms.

Nothing to turn it off so I had no sleep my sister got bit .. there was tea splashes all over the room . Missed breakfast by 15 minutes the staff were so bloody rude to us could have just been polite sorry ladies you have missed breakfast but no they’re were very rude ..

The only thing I’d suggest is advertising the parking properly as we drove around for 40 mins trying to find somewhere to park. The room was very basic and dusty but tbh we just needed a bed to sleep in so weren’t overly bothered. There were no tables available for breakfast so we didn’t have any so couldn’t comment on the food.

- Nick (10/5): Good clean, no nonsense hotel. - Good place to stay when visiting London. 5 minutes walk from paddington train station. No thrills or whistles, just good clean basic hotel with standard room facilities.

The location is convenient and close to transport links, but this is the only positive thing I can say on this occasion.

- Richard and Sally (4/5): Very dated and basic. - Room was not in the Seymour Hotel, but in another building along the terrace in the basement. Sheets and towels were clean but decor, shower curtain and bathroom were terrible and desperately needing attention.
- H D (2/5): - The location is ideal. You can get on the Paddington or Edgware Road underground within 5 min walk and get to anywhere in central London easily. There are some shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms are dated. These appear clean. But...this is where the nightmare starts. It is crawling with bed bugs. You can't see them but when night falls they come out. I stayed two nights and have come back home literally covered in bites. They are all over my face, my hands, arms, legs, chest and back. It is the height of summer so I had a vest top/shorts set on and where the pjs covered is the only part of me not bitten. I'm on steroids creams, anti histamines and anti inflammatories trying to reduce the bite marks, some of which the doctor thinks will permanently scar. I look a total mess. To make it worse the hotel will not accept even the acknowledgement that they are in the wrong. even though the location is fab, avoid at all costs. Ive been home 10 days and still look like a dot to dot puzzle. Red scabby mess!!!

- Pamela (2/5): Not what I expected - I booked to stay in the Seymour Hotel but when I checked in I was told I was staying in another building. When I booked I asked for a lower floor room as I have mobility challenges. I was told that I would be on the third floor and no offer of help with my heavy luggage! The top flight of stairs was a nightmare and I injured my knee! However, back at the Seymour I enjoyed my breakfast and a member of staff carried my luggage down for me. Will not be staying there again!

The dresser had ants living on it and when I discussed this with the check in staff, they seemed uninterested. For the price I paid for the one night, I think I was ripped off!!

- Verified traveler (2/5): Noisy - My first impressions were good, it’s a budget hotel and so I didn’t have high expectations but the room was adequate and had all that I needed. However, it quickly went downhill from there. I was in basement room 240, if you are offered this room do not accept it. Room 241 has a small out area which my room looked directly onto, it was filled with rubbish and when the family returned to there room at 11:30 they did not stop banging crashing and shouting, smoking outside my window until 4:30. This room was not in the main hotel and so at 3am I called reception and they assured me they’d sort it after first claiming the noise was the tube! By 4am I had contacted hotel.com who were really helpful in refunding me but this did not make up for the 2.5 hours of sleep I had before an important day at work
- Lucia (6/5): Good value for money, improvements are necessary - Excellent location and good value for money. Confortable beds but small bedroom and tiny bathroom. Impossible not to wet the whole bathroom when having a shower and not even a mat for the floor is provided. Breakfast is reasonable but bad service. Breakfast time is said to be until 9.15am and 9.20 guests are asked to leave the place even if they are still finishing eating. I had to finish my coffee and toast at the reception

Crammed with 3 beds (2 single and 1 double) little space with tiny shower room. Room hasn't been vacuumed or dusted. Dirty shower room from where was nasty smell coming from the drain. Ear plugs is must. Big plus for the spacious reception area and posibility of leaving heavy suitcase there overnight. £90 for that standards is huge overpayment.

It smelt and was so hot. We checked the room and found ‘something’ on the window sill. The floor, walls were filthy and the bed base had a questionable stain. The bathroom was like a caravan bathroom which had been dropped in to the room. I had to find another hotel to stay at. After asking for a refund I was told to go through the booking company. After a lot of going back and forth I finally received a refund. The other hotel cost me £30 more and included a clean room and full unlimited breakfast
- James (6/5): Not recommended - Not a great trip. Bathroom was clean. Look is fairly modern. However dome odd stains on the blankets were a bit disconcerting and soured tbe experience. Pillows smelled a bit too. No iron and ironing board, which was disasterous as I was away for work and an important meeting!

Breakfast staff were rude and kicking people out though. Yes, breakfast ends at a cwrtain time but if people are still eating what they have already picked up, give them a chance to finish their food.
- VALERIE (10/5): - 67 steps up a windy narrow staircase carrying a small suitcase, hoping that my 85 yr old father wouldn,t fall on the way up. Not ideal for anybody with breathing difficulties / asthma. No teaspoon, one saucer for 2 cups, bedding clean but only 1 pillow each. TV kept going off, shower drain needs some Mr Muscle drain unblocker put down it as I was worried I was going to flood the tiny bathroom. Lovely coffee at breakfast. All in all £45 well spent. A few tweaks needed and a warning that a lot of stairs and no lift would be better on the website.

Strong water pressure and hot water from sink and shower. Radiator running all night so it was warm. Convenience store next door to main building is open late and cheaper than others nearby also.

- barry (6/5): Night in Camden - After checking in we were told that we were actually staying in a different building a short walk away. The reception bore little resemblace to the site pictures. The room did not seem clean and there were holes in the quilt cover. Disappointing.

- Suzie (8/5): Great no frills hotel - Ideal if wanting a no frills stop over in London. We stayed in a family room with our 12 and 2 year olds. The room was a decent size with everything we needed. Bathroom was very small but did the job. Unfortunately the shower didn't look like it had been cleaned in a while but the toilet and sink were alright. The room was very tired in places however this did not impact our stay at all and the beds were spotless and very comfortable which is the main thing after a long day! The complimentary continental breakfast was lovely and set us up for another day of sight seeing. In all, a great value hotel if you are looking for something in central London without a huge price tag.
- Richard (4/5): - The room was actually in another hotel around the corner and several doors down from where we booked. The room itself was dirty - stains on the walls, hair in the tiny shower and spots of dried blood on the sheets of one of the beds (I stripped it to check for bed bugs - no sign of them thankfully). The floor was very uneven to the point that it was seemingly sloped, with a large gap opening up under the door to the room. In the middle of the room you could feel various lumps and pits under the carpet, so beyond the steep staircase leading to it this room would also not be suitable for anyone with a mobility issue as it felt likely they may have difficulties standing and moving around. The bathroom was incredibly small, with the toilet and very tiny shower essentially one item with a shower curtain separating them. Not very practical and virtually impossible to shower under as you can’t even turn around underneath it without having to step out to the toilet. Television in the room just made an awful electrical buzzing noise when turned on so that was left off. Other reviews mention heavy smells of smoke or dust, in fairness to the hotel this wasn’t our experience and outside of the other issues highlighted above there were no unusual smells nor overly dusty surfaces. We didn’t complain as we had checked in late, so I just wanted to sleep and it was a short stay. The location was fine, reasonably close to two tube stations so ok links to the rest of the city.
- Mohammad Reza (4/5): - Room too small even though I paid for two people. The window in the room was insecure and could be opened from outside. Curtains’ hooks fallen off and couldn’t close curtain. Bedsheets smelt bad. The room was too hot with no air conditioning and no fan, and no proper airflow from the window. Constant noise of water running through the pipes from the bathroom probably from other rooms’ bathrooms. Couldn’t sleep the whole night from the noise and the heat. Tried asking reception staff for room change, they said that’s their regular size double room and the rest are “family” rooms. Also didn’t do anything about the curtain nor the window. I didn’t have time to complain about the noise and the smelly bedsheets. Not what I expected from what the hotel advertised, and definitely not worth the price I paid. My Worse hotel experience in London.

- Tanya (4/5): - This was a handy place to stay for being near to Paddington station. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and polite. The room itself was not very clean hence my low score. I slept well the bed was quite comfortable. For the price I paid it was reasonable if only the rooms were cleaned better it would be a handy place to stay. Would not stay there again.

- Henrieta (4/5): - It was dirty and stained, it didn’t have a good smell either. Hardly any room to move around. Plug sockets were making a crackling noise. Staff weren’t the nicest either as I wasn’t even greeted or anything just a simple ‘you have a booking’ and that’s all. Didn’t enjoy my stay, especially for £63 in a tiny place that I didn’t feel comfortable in due to it being dirty.
- Anthony (4/5): - The bathroom was so small an adult can hardly fit in and there was no hot running water in the property. There was no complimentary parking & the parking fee was flat £15. Lots of laundry bags littered the reception and hallways. The lighting was poor and the property I was allocated to stay in was not Seymour hotel but an adjacent converted property and have to walk 500 years to the actual reception.
- Lyndzi (8/5): - So close to hyde park so definitely use again, bath room was comical as a caravan style, only down side we couldn't have breakfast as only a handful of tables in the basement

- Kostas (2/5): - Very loud noise from the steer and the floors above. You could here the floor creaking all day. The room had obviously not been vacuumed. There were bits all over the floor. The bathroom can do with a bit of a proper deep cleaning. Very nice to be offered breakfast and staff were all very polite!
