Le charme de l'hôtel, une grosse maison du XIXème siècle, meublée à l'ancienne, et tenue parfaitement propre. L'amabilité et l'efficacité du personnel. L'immense baignoire dans la salle de bains, au rebord difficile à enjamber et au fond instable; une grande douche serait plus pratique. Le petit-déjeuner sur la terrasse du cinquième étage, accessible seulement par ascenseur, et trop petite pour accueillir tous les clients ensemble, alors que l'hôtel n'a qu'une vingtaine de chambres. Les rooftops sont à la mode, mais une salle à manger située au rez-de-chaussée, et accessible par l'escalier serait plus adaptée au style de l'hôtel. La surabondance et la qualité médiocre des produits présentés au petit petit-déjeuner.

• julioh14 (6/5): Beautiful palazzo, but room quality varies, choose carefully. - The hotel enjoys a great location, within walking distance of the Vatican, Castel Sant’Angelo, Piazza del Popolo, and Villa Borghese. It is a bit farther from major sites like the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, but still well situated overall. The building itself is beautiful—a well-maintained palazzo with tastefully decorated rooms. The rooftop on the 5th floor, where breakfast is served, is especially pleasant. Breakfast was generous, offering a wide selection of both savory and sweet options, along with excellent Italian coffee. I would also like to highlight the lady in charge of breakfast, who was exceptionally kind and welcoming. Finally, the hotel kindly stored our luggage on the last day, which was very convenient. Unfortunately, our room was located in the basement. Although it was spacious, it had almost no natural light, which was quite disappointing. In addition, it was situated next to the elevator, making it noisy—especially at night. We also found the staff member in charge of the entrance in the evening to be unfriendly. On one occasion, he seemed irritated when we asked him to open the main door while he was on the phone, which felt unwelcoming. Overall, the issues with the room significantly affected our experience and made the stay feel overpriced for the value received.

• Inmaculada (5/5): The hotel is very old - The breakfast was good but very simple. The area is good and well comunicated. I needed a silence room due to my work. I made this especial petition when making the reservation. However, the hotel gave me a room on the ground floor and very close to the reception, almost inside! I had to pay a triple room that was on the second floor to be quiet (and alone) and nobody applied me any discount or had any courtesy with me.

• Marina (6/5): Bella posizione il resto da rivedere - Posizione ottima ,staff cordiale Camera spaziosa e bel bagno La colazione non ha niente a che vedere con un 4 stelle .caffè scadente da turista non italiano ,proposte con scelta limitatissima e superata andava bene 20 anni fa .la seconda mattina abbiamo preferito farla fuori che ripetere l esperienza. Non sapevamo che il parcheggio fronte l albergo con linea gialla avesse un costo .ci è stato accreditato a fine soggiorno ,poteva essere specificato prima . Il mobilio è da rimodernare .

• James (7/5): Hotel que poderia ser muito bom está meio desanimado... - A localização é boa. Não fica dentro do centro histórico, mas não é longe. Táxi até algumas das principais atrações da cidade custa cerca de 20 Euros. O metrô, estação Lepanto, é bem próximo do hotel. É possível jantar em lugares diferentes, por uma semana, sem se distanciar mais do que 500 a 700 metros do hotel. O hotel necessita uma pequena injeção de ânimo! Nada demais... Por exemplo, roupas de cama mais modernas em quartos clássicos seriam muito interessantes! A reforma do banheiro na recepção seria bem vinda. Café da manhã com maior diversidade de itens seria bom!

• Zoltan (9/5): we are happy to return - The location, unique style, the courtesy of the staff, the cleanliness were all excellent. It's not a big hotel, so it was very quiet, despite being in the city center, just 1 minute from the metro station. Compared to the general standard of the hotel, the only slightly negative experience was the lack of variety at breakfast and the poor selection of fresh pastries.

Lo consiglio. - Struttura in stile retrò in posizione ottima, adiacente la fermata della metropolitana, fuori dalla zona a traffico limitato e vicina al centro (15min a piedi per il Vaticano o Piazza del Popolo) posta in un quartiere tranquillo lontano dalla zona turistica. Dimensione della camera (nel mio caso tripla) sufficiente e bagno spazioso. Pulizia nella norma. Colazione standard con buona scelta all'interno di una terrazza coperta al quinto piano con discreta vista sulla città. Personale gentile, educato e disponibile al dialogo. La gestione del parcheggio è l'unica criticità a causa della posizione in zona centrale: esistono pochi posteggi riservati da prenotare chiamando l'hotel. Ma nulla di veramente grave da costituire un problema: nel caso siano esauriti, tutto intorno alla struttura ci sono parcheggi pubblici a pagamento.

• Melia (10/5): clean ,comfortable, warm and welcoming - Breakfast was excellent with an extensive range of delicious breakfast items. All food was freshly cooked and baked and all the breakfast area was pristine and clean. The lady looking after the guests was attentive, friendly and courteous without being intrusive. The location is on the Vatican side of the river so within easy walking distance. The Trevi fountain and all other tourist sights can be accessed by walking but the tube is minutes away from the Hotel. tickets are cheap and the journey is quick and easy to navigate. The room was clean and kept refreshed with towels and supplies etc. The bed was enormous and there was a spacious wardrobe, desk and chair. The bathroom in our room had a bath/shower large sink toilet, bidet and was beautiful. Loved our hotel the only thing missing was a kettle in the room however we are sure if we had asked one would have been provided.

A senhora do café da manhã é simplesmente a mais grosseira que já encontrei num hotel. Indicaram um táxi onde fomos roubados, a tarifa base para o aeroporto não foi respeitada. Típico de esquemas de malandragem.

• David (10/5): Came back to this hotel after 10 years and we weren't disappointed! - The staff was very welcoming and accessible. We especially loved seeing Heidi, the furry friend of the desk clerk. The breakfast room is lovely with a nice view and the staff was wonderful.

• Alp Kerem (9/5): - It was located in a very nice residential neighbourhood where there were very good restaurants and cafes in walking distance. Lepanto metro station is about 50m from the hotel. This metro station is right between the Vatican and the Spanish Steps. The breakfast was also very good with very tasty pastry offerings. The room was spacious and very quiet with very comfy beds. The hotel shows its age.

• Juanfra (9/5): Un lugar bonito para alojarse en Roma - Es un hotel pequeño, cerca del Vaticano , de la plaza Del popolo y con una parada de metro a 1’ andando ( Lepanto) con conexión directa con Termini. El desayuno en la terraza del último piso es bastante bueno y Cristina te prepara el café que quieras al instante ( latte , macchiato…) es un encanto de mujer . Las habitaciones son bastante amplias y cómodas y aunque algo anticuadas yo dormí divinamente. En cuanto a la zona tienes bastantes restaurantes cerca a 5’ andando … y la zona en sí es tranquila. Quizá pagué un precio caro en general , pero reservé con un día de antelación , así que la culpa es mía . Quizás el mobiliario algo anticuado pero le da su encanto

• John Abraham Cristobal (8/5): - Great location, classic feel Hotel Farnese is in a very walkable area and close to a train station, which made it easy for us to explore. We were even able to run from the hotel to the Colosseum, Pantheon, and Trevi Fountain at night. The place isn’t modern, it’s more quaint and traditional. And smaller than I expected, but it was a decent stay overall. My favorite part was seeing the owner’s dog, Heidi, every morning. That little touch made it feel homey. Receptionists were friendly.

• GlobeTrotting171935 (10/5): Must stay - A beautiful boutique experience. When I arrived at the hotel I quickly realized I had booked for 2026 vs 2025. Leonardo at the front desk was so kind and found me the last available room. He apologized profusely that it was in the basement...long story short...the room was fit for a queen. In the morning had a delightful breakfast with a magnificent view. This is a must stay boutique hotel.

Receptionist si allontana dalla reception serrando la porta principale a chiave, chiudendo dentro una dozzina di ospiti, e fuori altri sei, sotto un diluvio. Dopo diversi minuti il receptionist torna, avendo addirittura il coraggio di redarguirmi perché stavo cercando delle chiavi con cui aprire la porta. Introvabili anche le uscite antipanico di emergenza. Una follia, mai successo in anni viaggi in tutto il mondo.

• sira (10/5): Ottima zona e personale gentile e disponibile - Sono stata ospite con amiche in vista di un concerto, l'hotel è posizionato vicino alla fermata della metro e del pullman il che rende la posizione ottima. Il personale super gentile e disponibile (menzione speciale per la signora Cristina, addetta alla colazione e ai receptionist). La stanza adatta alle esigenze, nel bagno (privato) erano presenti prodotti come asciugamani e saponette. La colazione, compresa, era ampia abbastanza da soddisfare sia chi ama il dolce sia chi ama il salato. Nella zona colazione per mantenere freschi i dolci si potrebbe mettere un coperchio, ma erano buoni comunque.

• Hong Mei (10/5): - Friendly staff 24-hour available. Clean. Good selection of breakfast. Walking distance to metro station. Would be nicer if could add a few hooks or bar in the bathroom to hold towels for reuse.

• Alba (7/5): I would definitely stay there again. - Excellent location. Gorgeous building, belle epoque. V traditional decor- authentic. Wonderful staff, all v welcoming genuine attentive. No food apart from breakfast. Also the wonderful rooftop terrace was only open at breakfast, drinks snacks upstairs would be nice.

• Lorenzo (6/5): Not a 4 stars hotel but good location. - Generally ok but besides the great location it is certainly not a 4 stars but more a 3 stars. Breakfast was not good. Everything was pretty stale.
• Mark (6/5): Overall, ok but not great - The towels looked grayishly dirty and the room was not particular clean, however, given the location and comfort we overlook these negatives. Parking is so narrow that it takes an effort to get the car out without hitting something.
• dimObject (10/5): Honest business good hotel with comfy furnitures - Very convenient and close to metro. Room is clean and high ceiling. Furniture and appliances are well maintained. The service is swift and amicable which is very different from other hotels around here. My standard room comes with a balcony with a street view. It is nice to wake up in the morning to see it. I will choose here and rebook next time.
• Wing Chiu (10/5): - Classical clean and comfy. Close to metro and walkable to all attractions. The breakfast was nice and overlooks the parks and streets nearby. I really like the vibe and had a great time. The bathroom was spacious and lots of amenities. The staff are nice and swift in helping me check-in
• Julia (10/5): Loved the neighborhood vibe! - Loved the space for our family and being located in a neighborhood versus tourist trap.
