Cot provided for the baby was not great quality, more a playpen than for sleeping. Room was clean but shower interior was not great.

• Ladylee33456 (10/5): Spotlessly clean, comfortable hotel. Close to all central tourist spots - Just come home from an incredible week long stay in this lovely hotel. The staff are super friendly and incredibly helpful. One couple in our party needed to move rooms, as their original room was at the front and incredibly noisy due to traffic and the never-ending sirens of Rome! The Receptionist had them moved immediately to a much quieter room. There are two lifts ( one is wheelchair friendly from reception) and although they look small, they can carry 4 people easily. The bedrooms were spotless and well decorated in a lovely gold wallpaper. Bathroom was spotless and bed very comfortable. Coffee and tea making facilities in rooms. The restaurant is up four steps from reception and wheelchair users would have to go up one floor in the lift, get in the other lift and go back down again! A bit of a faff, but doable! Breakfast in the restaurant was very good indeed- much better than other Roman hotels I’ve stayed in! Scrambled eggs, cold meats, cheeses, toast, croissants and pastries, cereals, yogurts and fruits as well as coffees, teas and juices. The downstairs reception rooms were very spacious and comfortable and we were allowed to take bottles of wine/spirits that we had bought and drink and socialise in there. The same with the rooftop terrace that is accessed from floor 6. We took our bottles and glasses up there too which was very nice in the sunshine after a tiring day sightseeing! The road outside is incredibly busy and the non stop sirens drive you insane! We were lucky enough to have room 21 which was at the back and very quiet and if it hadn’t been for the inconsiderate room neighbours, I would have slept like a log, but some people have no manners or courtesy and think only of themselves! ( which is not the hotel’s fault). All in all a very enjoyable stay and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to everyone I know who is travelling to Rome! We will definitely stay here again as it is also very close to the central tourist spots and close to some very good restaurants- one of which is Le Lanterne- a 1-2 minute walk away! This hotel offers free WiFi too.

• Peter (2/5): Not a safe city if you have kids trace with you. - It was clean and modern No tea or coffee facilities in the room. Air conditioner in first room didn’t work. Phone in second room didn’t work. Once we stepped out the front door, we didn’t feel safe and there was a build up of rubbish on the streets. We cut our time in Naples short due to a lot of external factors. Not a very good experience.

• CraigDirksen (8/5): Authentic Roman charm - We found the hotel very clean and comfortable. We wanted something with an authentic Roman vibe - didn't want to stay in an American-style hotel in Rome. Hotel had much character and "faded elegance" that appealed to us. Great location, just steps from the Roman Forum and easy walking distance to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Included breakfast was adequate if not great, but was fine. Would definitely stay there again. It's on a busier street and I was a little concerned about traffic noise, but it died down before bedtime and was not an issue.

• 321adeo (2/5): Avoid Hotel Pace Helvezia - Room had a single working plug socket but had to push bedside table onto plug to stop it falling out. Although clean, could do with a splash of paint or some livelier wallpaper. Reception staff member would not offer any advice on local restaurants only stating that they are set up for tourists (overcharge non Italians). Breakfast room (brekkie was 7-10) ran out of bread by 8.55 & basically told me in a manner that it was my fault & that I should get there earlier. It was a man on Friday (Jan 30th, 2026) who managed the room & his attitude was disgusting. If his is deemed a 4 star hotel, Premier Inns are 5 star!

• 373garrym (10/5): Rome in January - I did my research & booked The Pace Helvizia Hotel. I wanted a central location, close to all of the iconic landmarks at a price that I was happy with. This hotel did not disappoint, we could not have chosen a better place. I did read past reviews & my take on it is simply that I was not expecting a modern contemporary feel with sharp decor. What we got was ornate ceilings, draped curtains & traditional inlaid wooden furniture- it all added to the experience. The staff were friendly & welcoming, the breakfast was very good & the hotel was clean. There is a roof top terrace with amazing views across the city, we could see St Peter’s Basilica which looks stunning at night. I would definitely go back & would recommend Pace Helvizia without hesitation.

• 564valentinay (2/5): Do NOT stay here - Cleanliness and facilities are unacceptable: – Extremely low water pressure and very slow drainage, causing flooding during showers – Broken water pipes in the room, never repaired – Visible dust and black debris on the bed – Skin itching after sleeping – Breakfast plates not properly cleaned If these alone don’t make you leave, read carefully what happened next. I paid for multiple nights and was already staying in the room, but the hotel sold my room to another guest while my stay was still ongoing. Because my reservation was split into several bookings due to a flight cancellation, the hotel used this as an excuse to manipulate the situation: • On the first day, night staff told me I must change rooms the next day. • The next morning, the manager said I did not need to change rooms. • That same evening, I returned to find my room door blocked with a note telling me to go to the front desk. At the front desk, the night staff openly admitted that my room had already been sold to someone else. I was told I “had to move.” I asked to change rooms immediately. They said the hotel was full and told me to move the next day instead, meaning I was expected to accept being displaced because of their mistake. Then it got worse. I was told that if I wanted to continue staying, I needed to pay extra starting that very night — even though: 1. I had already paid for my stay 2. The hotel had already resold my room So the room was sold twice, and I was asked to pay more for it. Communication was hostile and unprofessional. The night front desk refused to answer calls, hung up directly, and repeatedly said “I’m busy.” Management kept changing their statements and offered only one type of “solution”: whatever was easiest for the hotel, not the guest — including asking me to leave my luggage at the front desk during the day with no room provided, despite payment. This is not a misunderstanding. This is mismanagement, overbooking, and pressure placed entirely on the guest to absorb the consequences. By the way, I stayed for three full nights, and no one ever came to fix the broken water pipe — not once, all the way until checkout. This is absolutely not a four-star hotel. There are many better options nearby. Avoid this place.

• Gana (1/5): - The location not bad ( but not the best) The room was not clean at all. There were ants and dust on the floor, and the bathroom was also dirty. Additionally, water flooded from the bathroom. The breakfast was rather poor; the bread was old and there was very little variety. It was also not suitable for vegetarians or for people who require halal or kosher food. The location is about seven minutes from the fountain and around fifteen minutes from the Colosseum.
• karenpU3085WD (8/5): Good. - Location excellent. Concierge great. Value for money excellent. Close for a lot of major sites, felt safe as a sole female at all times. Room better than expected from pictures when I booked I think my room was upgraded to a double. Hearing was set too high for me especially the underfloor in the bathroom so had windows permanently open as unable to alter the temp. The hotel is on a very busy road in the mornings but not unbearable. The good out weighed this. Breakfast simple but I’m happy with a good coffee so was fine. The beds are not the best but I still slept due to exhaustion from all the walking. Fridge with mini bar in room which was reasonably priced. plus kettle with tea and coffee. Great. My only criticism is although room was clean I think a deep clean would make a difference ie around basin taps were needing a scrub , tv very dusty and remotes dirty. Tv didn’t seem to be working. But these issues are minor would definitely stay here again.

• Silke (6/5): Schönes Hotel, mit sehr guter Lage. Service auf der Dachterrasse wäre wünschenswert. Dieses Hotel würde ich ohne Frühstü - Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Im Zimmer befand sich eine kleine Teeküche. Das Bad ist groß und hat genügend Ablageflächen. Die Dachterrasse hat einen tollen Blick über Rom, vom Kolosseum bis zum Petersdom. Herrlich. Insgesamt versprüht das Hotel einen gelebten Charme. Ja, mancher würde sagen es ist renovierungsbedürftig, aber wir fanden, dass es so, wie es ist, überaus gut zu Rom passt. Die Zimmer, Flure und Aufzüge waren immer sauber und ordentlich. Es muss nicht immer das modernste und neueste Interieur sein. Alles passte gut zusammen. Das Frühstück war leider sehr sehr eintönig. Mehrere Sorten Wurst und mehrere Sorten Käse wären von Vorteil. Baguette oder anderes frisches Brot vom Bäcker würden das Frühstück sehr aufwerten. Die Croissants waren hervorragend. Auf der Dachterrasse gab es keinen Service, man musste eigene Getränke und Speisen mit hinauf nehmen. Schade.

Bathroom was small and dingy with black on the shower surround and we had no hot water on our first morning for a shower. Roof terrace had no bar just seating. No bar in the hotel only a breakfast room. Only redeeming feature was the breakfast. Would not recommend this hotel
• W4274XJrayr (6/5): Just average - Location was brilliant, breakfast was ok, room was ok but had two single beds pushed together to make a double which would separate as I slept, one night was absolutely no hot water in the shower. Was hit with tourist tax of €30 when I was leaving I previously hadn’t been told about. But the rooftop was brilliant.

Mye bråk fra veien utenfor, plagsom during fra airconditioning/varmepumpe som gjorde at den måtte slås av om natta. Lytt på rommet; man hørte godt når noen gikk på gangen evt låste seg inn på naborommet.

• U451FTdonnas (10/5): Great Hotel - The Pace Helvezia hotel is my home away from home. I have been staying at this hotel for over 30 years every time I visit Rome and have never been disappointed. The staff are amazing and so helpful. The location is just perfect, right in the middle of Rome and walking distance to almost everything. The buffet breakfast has many delicious options to start your day. I would highly recommend this hotel!

• V6886DUsueh (4/5): Not recommended - First impressions were very good. The hotel looked smart and check in was good. Sad to say that it went downhill after that. Mattress was very hard and gave me a bad back. The shower leaked and the water only ever got lukewarm. Poor supply of tea/coffee on arrival which never got replenished and there was no milk . The room was small , slightly scruffy and was lit only by the overhead lights, there were no options to dim the lights and no bedside or reading lights. The kettle was faulty and nearly scalded us. Breakfast spread was ok but don’t leave your table unattended for longer than a minute as we did only to find it cleared by over zealous staff . Staff were a mixed bag but too many were offhand and unwelcoming. I would not recommend this hotel. The location is the reason we picked it and it certainly is well located.
• Cynthia (10/5): - I have stayed in this hotel several times and wonderful every time. Staff is very friendly and helpful; breakfast is very good and available until 10AM. I was nicely surprised when after a late check in and exhausted, waking up to look out the window which was a door, it was a balcony that was as big as my room with a beautiful view of sunset. It is very well located and short walk to Trevi, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, and Colosseum, etc. Great gelato place on the corner. I couldn't have asked for better. Nothing wrong.

The water was not hot in the shower, the power points did not work. The interior needs a new paint and wallpapering. It is a lovely old place but needs some life put into it.

• mikijii (2/5): Good location, but dirty room and bad service - We are originally booked for the pantheon hotel, but we’re switched at the last minute to the Elvezia much to our disappointment. The food was bad. The room was dirty. Wi-Fi was nonexistent in the room. Service was not pleasant. If you have the option to stay somewhere else, I would recommend it although the location is good.

Selection of salad meats cheese & cold scrambled egg, pastries & inedible stale bread. Coffee & juices were good. The hotel is very tired & in desperate need of refurbishing With some TLC, it could be lovely. If I visited Rome again I'd increase my budget & pick a better hotel to ensure my comfort & sleep quality
• taniyap2015 (10/5): Perfect Location - This is my second visit to Rome. Compare to where I was before this hotel was very good in all location . Very short walk tot he Trevi Fountain , Collosium , and other historic location in the city central. It is on a main bus route , easy for public transport . Has lots restaurants and shopping around . Rooms were spacious and clean. Washroom was spacious . I would recommend some renovations. Very helpfull staff. They helped me to find a dentist at midnight when I was very ill. Breakfast has a decent spread. Only downside , you might hear noice of vehicles. But didnt personally bothet me. I highly recommend

Ranajky boli dobre, vsetko, co je treba - prazenica, sunka, salama, syr, zelenina, ovocie, ranajkove cerealie, jogurt a sladke pecivo + dzem, "nutella". Slane pecivo - biely chlieb a zemle. Kava, caj, voda, dzus. Ranajky su fajn, ale pri pobyte 10 noci Vam uz prazenica nechuti, dali by ste si vajce na iny sposob - volske oko, varene.. Zelenina boli paradajky a polnicek, nic ine, ovocie broskyne a melon. Chlieb a zemle bez chuti, kava zla. Je to vlastne stale to iste kazdy den. Ale pri pobyte na par noci je to OK. Izba bola na stranu hlavnej cesty, bolo to hlucnejsie, ale pri zavretom okne to nevadilo. Vsade v centre pocut sireny, tomu sa neda vyhnut. Klimatizacia po zapnuti trochu smrdela, co po chvili preslo, tak isto v kupelni bolo obcas citit zatuchnutie. Postele super, upratovali by kazdy den, ak by sme chceli, vymienali postelne pradlo aj uteraky, ale prach zo zeme neutreli ani raz. • Efraín (7/5): Se podría mejorar - La recepción perfecta, siempre muy atentos y dispuestos a ayudar. La habitación, la cama muy incómoda, el colchón pésimo. El aire acondicionado muy ruidoso. La mampara en mal estado y la goma con moho.
• Kit (8/5): A traditional gem in the heart of Rome. - The hotel was centrally located, making exploring easy. The staff were kind and friendly. The rooftop terrace was a huge plus, you get stunning views out over Rome and facing the sunset. Breakfast was extremely useful, it ran from 7-10am, so suited all and had lots of different options. The aircon was very effective. The room, whilst basic, had enough, eg. Mini fridge, hair dryer, kettle, safe box. Some say it needs updating, but the traditional Italian style of the hotel was nice and made the stay unique. The hotel and our room was clean, but bed sheets needed to be changed more regularly (once in one week), and the floor needed a proper clean before and during our stay. Minor, but would have meant we had no problems with our stay had this happened. The room had good facilities, but would have been topped off if it had an iron (luckily we brought our own).

• CUPCAKEG48 (10/5): FANTASTIC ! - Just back from a 4 night stay.Hotel was fantastic, clean comfortable and everything you could need.Staff are lovely and the two guys in reception are so kind and helpful.Coninential breakfast is only meal served but it s plentyful with a large selection of delicious Breads,Meat, Fruits , Yoghurts and Drinks.Only thing I would say it in a rather noisy area,so if you want peace and quiet id go somewhere else.Saying that the area is near to Trevi Fountain (A 7 minute walk) and the Coliseum is just two stops on the bus).All in all a fantastic holiday.❤️

• L5383ATchriso (6/5): Rome experienced hotel and stay for 4 nights was good . - Hotel was good and staff are nice the shower was vey good water so strong and they clean the room every day but the mattress is hard . The roof terrace was the most part very attractive and good to look out over Rome . We would like to recommend this hotel. The areas are very close to trevi fountain, the colosseum and atrium and also close to the St Peter’s basilica. There are many choices for restaurants and shops too.

• Fabiola (7/5): No se puede descansar. Bien ubicado - Lo mejor la ubicación. El desayuno bien. Tiene aire acondicionado que se agradece, había un problema con el TV y lo solventaron. En la noche no se puede descansar, se oye toda bulla de la calle terrible.
