• Susan (8/5): Great modern hotel in a quiet but central area - Hotel Viminale is located on a side street in the Monti district. It is central to everything - lots of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. The hotel and room were clean, modern and very comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the water in the shower and sink was always hot - have had lukewarm water in other hotels! The staff were helpful and friendly and the facilities are good - gym, outside terrace and a good fresh breakfast. Only a couple of little things- the bathroom could do with an extra shelf to put toiletries on and a hook to hang a hand towel near the washbasin. Both of these are easily fixed! Apart from that this hotel is lovely and we would definitely stay there again when we return to Rome.

The setting alone is breathtaking — open-air, intimate, with the kind of view that makes you remember why you traveled here in the first place. But what made the experience exceptional was José. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel genuinely welcome — not just like tourists passing through, but like guests. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. His recommendations were spot-on, and his warmth added a personal touch that you simply can’t find everywhere.

• Tophillgreen (10/5): Perfect Hotel for our time in Rome! - The Hotel Viminale was the perfect choice of hotel for our trip to Rome. It was well located, comfortable with excellent and personable staff offering great service. What more could we want! Location-wise it was not far from the main station and the Metro, but actually walkable to most tourist attractions - we don't mind walking and you see more that way. Our room was well-furnished and -equipped, with a comfortable bed. There were a couple of minor issues which we pointed out to staff after our first night and they were resolved immediately. Very comfortable bed. Some traffic noise from outside but can't avoid that in a busy city. There was plenty of choice at breakfast - a minor quibble would be that the hot food could have been warmer but it was still perfectly edible. The hotel staff were all helpful and Valeria was a particular gem. Nice people giving great service. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel, they want to be a home from home and to ensure that their guests have the best experience in their city.

• Hamptons_r_us (10/5): Gorgeous hotel in Rome - We had a fantastic stay at hotel Viminale in early March 2026. The hotel is a short walk from the main train station in Rome, and the hotel is off a small side road and so away from the bustle of the local area. We were greeted by Chiara at reception who not only offered us a very warm welcome, but also helped us many times during our stay from reconfirming restaurant recommendations to sharing the best way to gain tickets for local attractions. The hotel has been beautifully renovated and has a lovely understated elegance. Rooms are well appointed and breakfast was faultless. If we happened to visit Rome again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here or, recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is nestled on a quiet block, but walk a steps over and you can be at the Colosseum, Basilica Mary Maggiore, or even the train station. The hotel and room was very clean, functional, and welcoming. We enjoyed the breakfast and lobby bar that was comfortable and modern. Biggest compliments to Valeria who was there to welcome us on our late arrival, provided helpful recommendations, and created an overall happy stay. Would definitely return.

Complimentary breakfast was excellent and great for our family of four with two teenage boys. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We ordered two twin beds for our two teenage boys and got a queen size instead. The shower was a bit awkward but not a big deal.

Located in the Monti district in a quiet street but walkable to restaurants, street food, metro stations and main locations. Staff extremely friendly and happy to help. Rooms spotlessly clean with modern bathrooms. Lovely roof Terrance but it was a bit cold to get the use of it. Breakfast is meat free which we knew when booking but excellent choice of warm and cold food and th freshly made coffee was fab. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Modern comfort with exceptional service - My wife and I recently returned from a wonderful stay at Hotel Viminale in March 2026, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. After a lot of research, this hotel truly exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect. It tucked away on a peaceful, quiet street, yet an easy walk to all the major attractions (except for Vatican City, we took an Uber there). The design strikes a beautiful balance, feeling fresh and modern while still retaining authentic Italian charm. Our room was recently updated, well-appointed, and the bed was comfortable. We looked forward to breakfast every morning (good selection, and we really appreciated their vegetarian-only options). Another highlight was the 4th-floor deck; the views of the city are simply impeccable and provided a lovely backdrop to our stay. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the staff. We are so grateful for their hospitality; everyone we met was exceptionally helpful, cheerful, and friendly. They made us feel truly welcome. We highly recommend Hotel Viminale to anyone visiting Rome and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for making our trip so memorable!
• CheshireDancingqueen (10/5): Vivacious and Vibrant at Viminale - What a fabulous hotel. We were staying in Rome for 3 nights then travelling to Orvieto for 2 nights then back to Rome for a final night before flying home. The reception, bar and breakfast areas are welcoming and stylishly decorated. There is a small gym and 2 pleasant terrace areas, one outside the breakfast room and the other on the 4th floor with lovely views of the city. The first room allocated to us on floor 3 overlooking the quiet road below was very nice, huge bed, creative and discreet storage space, fridge, Nespresso machine and a large bathroom with powerful rain shower. The second room was much larger and on the 5th floor with much better views, again at the front. All the same amenities were provided just on a larger scale. There is also a lovely little secret terrace on the 5th floor, furnished with a table and chairs, it all felt very secret and exclusive. The breakfast options were good, loads of choice: pastries, breads, fruit, cheese, smoked salmon, tuna, cereals, juices, salads, along with hot options for an additional charge. I’m not a fan of buffet breakfasts, I can’t bear people dithering, however with this being a small hotel, the faffing was minimal. It really is a lovely hotel, tucked away in a quiet street in the beautiful Monti district. We did have a couple of issues on the last morning of our first stay, however they were dealt with swiftly and professionally. We absolutely would stay again. Highly recommended.

Profesionální, čisté, výborná a velmi příjemná obsluha a hezký design. S dvěmi terasami ve 4. a 5.patře s výhledem. Hotel je velmi blízko nádráží, pokud pojedete vlakem či autobusem z letiště. Poloha je výborná, ale dovedl bych si představit o trochu více v centru a v lepší části.

The care and service me and my wife received while we stayed there for our honeymoon is top tier. Fresh towels and sheets everyday, a pair of sandals for walking around in your room. • Ponting2 (10/5): Beautiful hotel, great location - We stayed at Hotel Viminale for a 4 night holiday and loved our experience. The hotel is beautifully decorated, very stylish and immacutely clean everywhere. The staff were very friendly, and exceptionally helpful switching our room on arrival to one that suited our preferences better (thank you again!). Our room (we booked a deluxe) was perfect - 5th floor with view, large, firm comfortable bed and plenty of room. It was facing the back side of the hotel and was very quiet. The bathroom had a lovely walk in shower with good toiletries. The tea tray was well stocked with options, both tea and coffee. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and a nice room. The non-meat policy was explained at check in - as a vegetarian this wasn't a concern for me anyway, but it had lots of fresh savoury items plus amazing cakes. Nice bar area and gym. Location is great, a very easy walk to Termini Station, and a few mins walk the other way brings you to several streets with small restaurants, lots of evening options and relaxed atmosphere all around. There's also a small supermarket a few mins walk away. The road the hotel is on is not a main road, although it has some traffic it was generally not busy. All in all, we were very happy with our choice and would stay again, we felt very relaxed from our visit.

Though the room we had was on the smaller side it had everything you needed (including a proper bathroom door!) and was nicely decorated. Cleaning was to a very high standard. There was lots of additional benefits such as the welcome drink, fruit in the room on arrival and cakes on our final day. There was some noise from birds in the afternoon and the road, although it isn't a major road and this didn't impact our sleep. The staff were truly fantastic, from the very friendly check in to the welcome/goodbye every time we passed the desk to the service at breakfast and the bar. This really made our trip. I think the hotel offers very good value for money.

Het was of te kou of te warm op de kamer. - het ontbijt was door drukte niet bijgevuld. Er was bijna geen ontbijt meer om 9.30 uur, waardoor we maar besloten om buiten het hotel te gaan ontbijten. Dit ook aan de baliemedewerkers medegedeeld, maar werd niet in mindering gebracht op onze verblijfkosten. Kortom zeer teleurstellend.

This is a meat free hotel so you won’t find your sausage at breakfast! However the breakfast was very good. Was a little disappointed not to see my peppermint tea in the “tea station”… should have brought my own. We did a free tiramisu experience on one of our rainy afternoons (was at a sister hotel but not far away) and the guys that did that were really nice. Really good location and walked our little feet off! We got the bus from the airport into Rome Termini (€9 each) and then walked to the hotel from there. Would highly recommend staying here!

• Lich45 (10/5): Perfect stay - I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Viminale. The hotel was exceptionally clean and very comfortable, which made it a pleasure to return to after a busy day exploring the city. The beds were super comfy, and we slept so well. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with any questions. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the main train station, making it very convenient for travel. It’s also close to some fantastic local restaurants and many of Rome’s main attractions, so getting around was easy. Overall, it was an excellent experience. I would definitely recommend Hotel Viminale to anyone visiting Rome and would happily stay here again.
