KedsP (10/5): Perfect 3 nights overlooking The Pantheon. - I spent an amazing 3 nights at Hotel Abruzzi for a solo trip, as a treat for my birthday. I had a great room on the third floor in the separate building across the square. The room appears to have been renovated recently, it was clean, neutral with beautiful wooden floors and a clean modern bathroom. When I checked in, the lady on the desk provided me with a map of Rome and talked me through some of the must see sights - this was really helpful and I used the map and information throughout my stay. The absolute highlight of this room is the balcony that overlooks the piazza and looks directly at The Pantheon, It was a stunning view. It is in a busy area and therefore quite noisy, but this is to be expected and I just enjoyed the free entertainment - from opera singers to violinists! The doors do block out most of the noise once shut. All the staff are friendly and helpful - I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Rome and the hotel was perfect in every way.
gorkemgorduk (8/5): Perfect Location - Excellent staff. Beware there is no lift in extra building. We had difficulties with stroller. But if you don't have any baby with you, it will be ok. Heating was perfect for winter time. Housekeeping was very good. You get the breakfast in a hotel-partnered restaurant. The people in restaurant were very good.Although it is not a buffet, they care about what you order. Perfect location. The hotel is in the same square with Pantheon. We didn't use any public transportation vehicles. We were on foot all the time.
ZingerOntario (10/5): Excellent location with Pantheon view rooms - Superb location on Piazza de la Rotanda facing the Pantheon. Tiny lobby on ground level. Very slow elevator on first floor. Very helpful bellman will carry the luggage. Our room was on the fifth floor ( only room on fifth floor) facing the Pantheon. The view is priceless. We slept well with well sound insulated windows. Bathroom with walkin shower with good pressure. Well manged hotel with very friendly, helpful and professional staff. They were very interactive and responsive when our booked room was not ready till the next day and took care of us wonderfully. We had a breakfast included rate however the breakfast is served at a charming restaurant 50 yards away ( this is a new restaurant they are using as there were issues with the previous restaurant). The breakfast was great. We even were able to eat outside one day when the weater cooperated in November. The hotel is really walking distance to everywhere especially if you do not mind walking. We are seniors but had no problem walking to the Vatican, train station, spanish steps, colossium etc. The area is surrounded by walking streets. with literally hundreds of restaurants.

I really enjoyed the location and rooms but the best was the accommodating, friendly staff. They showed me hands on how to work things in the room without having to ask. Very comfortable and safe

We used the hotel shuttle service to get from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the cruise port. Very convenient. Loved our breakfast each morning. Staff were helpful and friendly. Highly recommend staying at Hotel Abruzzi!

Beverly (10/5): - This hotel was right in the heart of everything and there was a taxi stand not far away. The horse carriages also stage there so that was an enjoyable tour. Our room was clean and quiet. The restaurant for our included breakfast was very close. There was also a dinner restaurant right outside. The staff was very helpful. They kept our bags safe when we arrived before check in time. By the time we got back to check in, they had already delivered them to our room. They were always available for questions and pointed us in the right direction when we needed something. There were also money exchange places right near the front. Would recommend only getting enough euros at the airport to pay the taxi as they don't take credit cards. The exchange rate is much better near the hotel.

Rona (6/5): - I recently stayed at Hotel Abruzzi, and overall it was a pleasant experience. Pros: • The view of the Pantheon from our room was beautiful it really made the stay special. • Each room comes with a complimentary cellphone from the hotel, which was extremely useful throughout the trip for navigation and communication. • Housekeeping did a great job keeping the room clean and well-maintained every day. • The hotel’s location is great right in the middle of major attractions, with convenient taxi pickup/drop-off right outside the door. Cons: • The room itself was very tight, which made it feel a bit cramped. • Upon arrival, we had issues with the electricity and the curtains (which were operated electrically). Unfortunately, I couldn’t use the curtains for the remainder of my stay. Which was quite annoying. • The included breakfast was below average and had limited options, especially if you don’t eat pork. I picked the hotel because of the included breakfast but felt let down by this. It’s operated by a nearby restaurant you are given a paper where you check off from a list of preset items.
Janice (6/5): A room with a view. Nothing more. - This hotel is a room with a view, and nothing more. The facility and staff are transactional only. This was part of a much larger trip for us where we stayed in 9 different hotels and I’m sorry to say this ranked as our least favourite. Really, the only thing going for it IMO is the location. The included breakfast is sadly lacking. We were served watered down espresso by an indifferent waiter and we didn’t return the next day.

PARMJIT (10/5): - We stayed at the annex. The property is well maintained and clean. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is steps away from the Pantheon, many restaurants, souvenir shops, Starbucks. You can walk to the Spanish steps, Trevi fountain, via del corso, piazza navona. collesuem is a mile away. I took a cab as it was way to hot to walk to Collesuem. Taxi cost 10 euros taxis you can get by the Pantheon. overall excellent experience for us.
Drakecake (2/5): Photos don't match reality - don't recommend - We booked this hotel based on the amazing reviews here and I felt completely bamboozled! Our room was next to the smoking lounge. And upon opening the door to our room the overwhelming smell of bleach was nauseating - to the point I couldn't breathe! We left the room, left the windows open and went exploring with the hope it would air out but it did not. Between the smell of bleach and the smoking lounge, we ended up leaving and went to a different hotel. By far our worst experience in the 10 days traveling Italy.

We were graciously welcomed when we arrived for check-in with a bottle of sparkling wine and a helpful concierge who walked us to our room. We were surprised at how quiet the room was considering how busy the area is where it is located. Our room was comfortable and clean with terrific air conditioning to help us sleep well in the hot summer. The front desk staff were so helpful suggesting restaurants in the area. They offered to pack a breakfast for us because we had an early flight and they called a taxi for us to get to the airport right on time. I cannot emphasize how gracious and professional the team is here. Strongly recommend this hotel and sending many thanks to all who made or brief stay so wonderful.

I def recommend this hotel, please note parking is an issue like alot of other places but they do offer shuttles for a fee and let you know where you can park. Because of ZTL we came in after 630pm so e could drive up to the hotel and drop the luggage and then went to park. We just had to call a cab to take us to the parking garage when we were ready to leave. And you have to be able to go up some stairs, they help you with your bags n there is an elevator but it starts on the floor above.

Maria (4/5): - Travelers from USA - we got this hotel last minute. The room wasn’t really clean, the bathroom, especially. When you used the sink, the bidet made slushing noises (idk if that’s the right terminology) but there must’ve been some issue with the plumbing. To top it off, our last night, we came back from dinner to a leak from the ceiling :/ May have been the A/C, but we’ll never know. One of our passports got wet but fortunately not that bad - could’ve been worse. The staff was very nice and attentive though, excellent customer service. When we told them about the leak they said they would “see what they could do” and then we’re going to offer free transportation to the airport, but we had already booked it. Very good location though, which is why we chose this hotel but the hotel did not look like the pictures online.

Travelbunny2013 (10/5): Highly recommend when in Rome! - We stayed here for 4 nights in June and it was the perfect location. The hotel room is very small but it was fine for 2 people. Breakfast was included at a restaurant up the street which was more than enough for us. The view of the Pantheon was also incredible. It was a bit noisy (not the hotel fault) but great to see and hear the hustle and bustle of Rome! The staff at the front desk were ALWAYS very helpful and the cleaning staff did a great job. Couldn’t have chosen a better hotel in Rome.

Nawel (10/5): - I stayed in the annexed building, it gave me a feel of a private residence while enjoying the perks of being at a hotel, the property and room were immaculate, the staff always available and helpful, the location is central and close to most landmarks, we walked to pretty much everything, there is a taxi stand right across from the hotel too. The hotel was very quiet given the fact that it is a very dense area. Will definitely stay there again. I was there with my 2 teen children and felt safe enough to send them out on their own to grab snacks, they had the best time ever .
clf2006 (8/5): Lovely Location by Pantheon - This hotel is located in a wonderful area and you are in walking distance to most everything if you don’t mind up to a mile walk for some places. There are a lot of shops and restaurants to peruse as well. Beware of the “fake Italian” option right outside the hotel. Walk off the beaten path for the authentic restaurants. The rooms are very small and a bit difficult if you have large luggage. The AC struggles to keep up with the very hot day. It would be fine on cooler days. Staff very nice and accommodating. Nice breakfast included.

Everything was close but the room was so quiet. I was travelling with my young sons so we requested a roll away which was made up and fit perfectly in the room. To top all that off breakfast was included at a local restaurant and it gave you the choice of English style with eggs and bacon or continental. It was absolutely delicious. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more. I was simply fantastic!

V9029QQsimonb (10/5): Excellent hotel- views and staff! - Returned yesterday. We stayed for our 20th wedding anniversary and what can I say except wow wow wow! We told the hotel before about our anniversary and were given a complimentary bottle of wine. We had a junior suite and couldn’t ask for anything more! I drove the hotel mad before hand with questions especially about the view and they were incredible. Hotel is so central to everything we wanted to see. But what made our stay were the hotel staff- they went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble at any point! Big should out to Valantina. Great hotel and great time had- not sure why only a 3 star!!
Rojer (10/5): - We loved our stay at Abruzzi. The location is awesome! We opened our window to look directly at the Pantheon un-obstructed . It’s literally across the street. The room was very small but the location made up for it. To get to guest rooms, there’s at least one flight of steps before a very tiny elevator is available. The room was very clean and the bathroom spotless. . The hotel staff, and I mean every one that we encountered was wonderful. They are very friendly and helpful. The location is central and we didn’t need to take a taxi to most places as they are in walking distance. The furthest point of interest was Vatican City at about 30 minutes. We’d definitely stay here again if in Rome!
