• brigitte (8/5): - Die Lage so nah am Vatikan, ist sehr gut. Die Kopfkissen waren perfekt:-) Personal freundlich und hilfreich! Vor allem beim Frühstück wurde man von einem fleissigen , immer fröhlichem und gut gelaunten Herrn bedient :Kaffee...heisse Schokolade oder was man sich sonst zum trinken wünschte. Es hat einen tollen Lift...so richtig altmodisch:-) Es hat eine Klimaanlage. Ein eher grösseres Nachtlicht oben an der Wand...war etwas störend für uns...aber nicht schlimm. Man hört die Gäste im Nachbarszimmer gut!! Zimmer sind eher klein. Fenster musste Nachts geschlossen bleiben..da die Strasse belebt und gerade vor unsrem Hotel-zimmer.

El desayuno también es digno de destacar . Muy buen desayuno Podrían modernizar un poco algunos sectores en especial la recepción. Y colocar cajas de seguridad en las habitaciones. Las paredes son muy delgadas , al lado nuestro habia niños y se escucha todo hasta la tv que veían.

• Prakash Tamboli (9/5): Comfortable Stay next to major attraction - It was a wonderful stay. Fantastic location, close to st. Peter's square. The hotel was good, an old building but nicely maintained. The staff specially 'Bijou' was extremely helpful and professional. All the other staff was very friendly and warm. Breakfast was good with a basic option. But not too many options.
• Paul (9/5): Perfect for a quick trip to Rome, especially with the access to the Vatican. - Great location for access to the Vatican, and close to the Roma S. Pietro station. Lots of good value restaurants in the area. Really appreciated having an elevator as we had many bags for a wedding. Simple breakfast in the morning included. The room was basic but included a private shower and toilet. The room had a view from the 3rd floor of the St. Peter's Dome Sunday morning we were woken up after 7am due to loud noises coming from the room above, it sounded like they were renovating a room, was not expecting that at all, and why I dropped the rating from a 10 to a 9. It wasn't major but it was annoying.

While room is a bit old, bathroom is restored to a modern standard. Great location, right beside the Vatican. Breakfast lady makes great espresso! While bathroom is good, shower is designed for small people. I'm 1.88 m and i cant stand straight in the shower. Also you can hear you neighbours very well if they decide to party, forget the sleep.

Ușile de la cameră sunt foarte vechi și ar trebui schimbate se aude tot zgomotul după hol, și când deschide ușa cu cheie se aude , am avut și vecini care s-au găsit sa vorbească pe hol între ei la 11 noaptea.

Aamupala oli hyvin perustasoa, mutta riittävä. Hotelli ja huoneet olivat siistejä. Hotellissa oli rauhallista . Hotelli tarvitsisi kipeästi korjausta. Pinnat ovat kuluneet. Suihkun vedenpaine on onneton.

• Naomi Deaddis (3/5): Una notte a Roma - La posizione ottima per chi vuole visitare la Città del Vaticano e Castel Sant'Angelo. Il letto duro e scomodo. Il bagno piccolissimo, che non ci si sta in due, per fare la doccia sono stati lasciati solo due bustine di sapone da 10 ml ciascuno, dunque impossibile per due persone fare una doccia, figuriamoci due. La stanza non ha minima insonorizzazione, in quanto si sentivano voci, scarpe con i tacchi, cane che abbaia, chi va in bagno e utilizza l'acqua. La porta non chiudeva bene, infatti passava la luce. Il frigobar vuoto, senza nemmeno l'acqua. La colazione scarsa di quantità e di qualità. Il palazzo non è solo hotel, ma ci sono abitazioni private e studi privati, poco piacevole.

We especially liked the lift! There is a tremendous restaurant next door. Nothing to dislike about it.

• louisejS5736PW (8/5): Fabulous location for no frills stay - Emmaus hotel is in a fantastic location very near to the Vatican. It’s ideal as a basic base for sight seeing. The hotel is a little dated and basic but the staff are very helpful. Breakfast is simple pastries fruit cheeses ham yogurt and cereal great for fuelling up for lots of walking. You are about 30 mins to the pantheon or a hop on hop off bus stop across the river. It’s also a 30 min walk to the Trastevere area full of bars and restaurants. Feels like a safe area and a taxi rank immediately outside. The rooms are large with en suite but basic and dated - there is air con a fridge but no tea/coffee. However it was a great base for 3 nights and next door is a very nice restaurant which we visited on our last night.

• Love (1/5): Do NOT stay here. - Exterior was nice and location is okay if you only wish to be close to the Vatican. Otherwise very boring neighborhood. Taxi stop right outside the hotel was good so it is easy to leave. Stay away! The staff were unfriendly and barely looked up when we entered the hotel to check in. Out of the total 6 times we passed through the entrance the staff in the reception never acknowledged or greeted us during our one night stay. The room was dirty, uncomfortable and small. The towels were dirty, the bed linen was poorly washed and both the bed sheet and duvet (old and pilled and had a bad smell) had many hairs on them. The bed sheet was stained. The toilet was barely functionable and could only flush the tiniest piece of toilet paper in one go. Shower was small, dirty and the sliding doors did not work properly. Worst of all was probably the very suspicious stains on both walls and the curtains which resembled human feces but I did not get close enough to verify out of apparent reasons. Sleeping in the hotel was very difficult due to the paper thin walls and old wafer-like doors. Conversations, showers, toilets and every thinkable noise could be heard several rooms away. The very loud elevator running all night did also disturb even though we had a corner room. I would never return to this hotel and would not recommend anyone to stay at this place under any circumstances. There are a lot of better options in Rome and I write this very honest review so no one else needs to share the horrible experience we suffered.

A személyzet nagyon kedves. A falak vékonyak, de pihenni lehet. A reggeli nem túl változatos, de elegendő. Az ágy nekem kicsit kemény volt.

• Ulla (7/5): Gutes Hotel - ausgezeichnete Lage, aber auch kleine Mängel - Das Hotel hat eine ausgezeichnete Lage, man ist innerhalb von ca. 2 Minuten am Petersplatz. Die Anbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel ist auch gut. Der Bus fahrt praktisch vor der Haustür weg, die nächste U-Bahn Station liegt zwar ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß weg, ist aber auch relativ gut erreichbar. Taxi-Standort liegt direkt vor der Tür. Im Zimmer gab es schallschluckende Fenster zur Straße hin - diese waren sehr effektiv. Auch in der nächsten Umgebung gab es gute Möglichkeiten hinsichtlich Verpflegung - einige kleine Supermärkte und gute und nicht zu teure Restaurants sind neben dem Hotel. Leider war einer der Rezeptionisten nicht sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, als Reaktion auf Beschwerden über den Lärm anderer Gäste (nachts) unternahm dieser gar nichts. Da die Zimmer extrem hellhörig sind und einige Gäste auch zu Nachtzeiten noch einziehen, Türen zuknallen oder anscheinend Möbel rücken mussten, war das Schlafdefizit entsprechend hoch.
