- Paul (9/5): Fine Hotel a pleasant walk from all of what you want in Florence. - The room was large with a separate living space and an outdoor area with lounge chairs. Bathroom was clean and good water pressure. Breakfast on the 1st floor was ample with plenty of options (fruit, eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, breads, sweets, yogurts, "Good" pistachio croissants, etc.). Parking was good for the car but the driver needs to carefully maneuver the car in and out because space is tight. Location is a 20 minute walk to the Uffizi area but it is nice to walk along the Arno. The Happy Hour in the evenings outside was pleasant with wine and snacks. The only thing is the price. It is high but it is Florence in Season. So you pay for what you want. The street which the hotel fronts is noisy but when the windows are closed, the noise is outside and not inside the room.

- andrea2801 (10/5): Hotel mit viel Flair und extrem guten Kundenservice - Im Hotel David steht Freundlichkeit und Service am Kunden an erster Stelle. Wir wurden herzlichst empfangen, es stehen 3 Freigetränke pro Tag und ein Wasserautomat zur Verfügung. Andere Getränke oder Kleinigkeiten wie Chips nimmt man sich einfach nach belieben und schreibt sich auf eine Liste für die Bezahlung - völlig unkompliziert. Parken ist im Innenhof kostenfrei möglich und wirklich ein Segen, wenn man sich die Parkplatzsituation in Florenz ansieht. Das Hotel hat einen liebevoll gestalteten Hof, in dem man nett im Freien sitzen kann und es gibt auch eine schöne Frühstücksterrasse. Das Frühstücksbuffet zwar klein gehalten, aber alles vorhanden, was das Herz begehrt, schön und frisch angerichtet und vor allem wird von einem sehr aufmerksamen Mitarbeiter ständig nachgelegt, abgeräumt und der Kunde umsorgt. Das Zimmer extrem sauber, freundlich eingerichtet, große Dusche, tolle Terrasse, genug Kleiderbügel,... Alles perfekt. Florenz Altstadt ist in ca. 20 Minuten zu Fuß und auch laufend durch zwei Busverbindungen nahe dem Hotel zu erreichen. Wir haben uns im Hotel David äußerst wohl gefühlt und würden es sofort wieder buchen. Vielleicht könnte man im Badezimmer noch die eine oder andere Möglichkeit zum Aufhängen von Handtüchern anbringen - aber das ist schon Jammern auf hohem Niveau :-)

- GIOIA (8/5): Sorpresa a Firenze - Io e mio marito abbiamo soggiornato per una notte presso l'hotel David, l'abbiamo scelto per la posizione strategica fuori dalla ZTL, ma comunque vicino al centro di Firenze. La struttura offre anche il parcheggio privato gratuito, difficile da trovare negli hotel a Firenze. Non ci aspettavamo inoltre che offrissero tanti altri servizi extra come l'aperitivo serale e le bevande gratuite per gli ospiti dell'hotel. La camera e l'annesso bagno erano spaziosi e puliti. Infine, la colazione a buffet era ricchissima e varia, con prodotti di qualità e gustosi. Dovessimo tornare a Firenze, terremo sicuramente in considerazione questo hotel!

- Elizabeth (10/5): Will absolutely return, and when I do, I know I will be greeted like an old friend. - Truly a treat. Staff members are always ready to help with a smile. We stayed at 5 hotels and/or B&Bs during our 10-day trip across northern Italy. Hotel David was, by far, the best. We chose it for our first and last nights of the trip. Both nights, we were simply tired, and this oasis on the outskirts of Florence was just what we needed. The only trade-off is the distance from downtown Florence. If you're in great shape and don't mind adding 20 or 30 minutes each way, you can walk to the sights. Otherwise, you'll do as most guests do which is a combination of buses (can be crowded and not on schedule) and taxis (expensive). The staff is very helpful with whatever transportation you use. They even sell bus tickets at the front desk and will explain bus stops and routes.

En het hotel ligt net buiten de drukte, vlakbij de Arno. Sympathiek hotel. Je merkt wel dat het hotel toe is aan renovatie, het is een beetje afgetrapt.

Jeden Abend gibt es auf der Terrasse Aperitif und Snacks. Man kann in 15 Minuten zu Fuß ins Zentrum gehen. Für uns ein der besten Hotels seit langem.

The hotel itself was placed in a beautiful part of Florence with lovely views and easy access. We booked the superior room which was well worth it, we wished we were staying longer but do plan to return at a later date. There was nothing not to like. The hotel was absolutely lovely.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional Hotel which will not disappoint - Location was perfect. As keen walkers, we tend to favour staying outside of the tourist areas and this hotel covered it all. Prior to arriving in Florence, I had been exchanging messages with Caterina, as I was organising some surprises for my husbands ‘big’ birthday whilst we were there. Caterina was an absolute marvel, went over and above to help me, nothing was too much trouble. We were even presented with a bottle of bubbles on the day of my husbands birthday, a really kind gesture. On arriving at the hotel, and for the duration of our stay (which was not long enough) we were met with kindness and efficiency and provided with lots of information on local points of interest etc. Breakfast was plentiful and you also had the choice of eating inside or outside in the terrace in the beautiful Tuscan sunshine. An absolute must is to attend the “Happy Hour” each evening from 6.30 onwards where you can enjoy wines and soft drink with the addition of canapés, which is a perfect start to your evening meal plans. Overall, I cannot say enough about this hotel abd would certainly highly recommend to friends and family and we are definitely coming back ❤️❤️ Everything was oerfect

The happy hour was the perfect way to start our night. It was away from the crowds, but you could walk to downtown Florence in just a few minutes.

The bed was big and very comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and there was free parking inside the hotel. There was also a complimentary drink and happy hour. We were extremely pleasantly surprised. I honestly can’t think of a single negative thing. 😊

Lovely setting, very clean, with quaint and authentic decor. The breakfasts were immaculately presented and the best on our travels. Generous and relaxed happy hour too. I initially thought the hotel may be a little far out from the centre, but it was so nice to retreat to the leafy environment at the end of the day, and the bus from the front door was so easy (tickets at reception). Highly recommend. Shared the triple room with my daughter and she loved the little balcony. A bit of noise (water running from showers, and doors closing etc) from other rooms, but nothing disruptive and certainly wouldn't put me off returning.
