- Jet32811767831 (2/5): THE NIGHTMARE - We booked through lastminute.com website a Ferretti Hotel, we really thought it was a hotel, we paid 425€ for a disgusting place,the pictures on the website showed a simple clean room, we never thought it was a disaster. We came early to drop off our luggage nobody was in the reception, we were obliged to pay a service to keep our luggage, the pension was in the first floor and the room in the second floor, we were obliged to carry our heavy luggage 3 floors with no lift, the room was disgusting, the building is over heated, the shower is broken, there is a rusty curtain. In the morning a group of people were knocking on our door and yelling. We decided to leave we were not able to stay in such a disgusting inhuman place
- D4544FCcoryc (4/5): Okay for a short stay - It’s in a really good location, about 5 minute walk from the train station, we fount hairs in the shower, there was a massive gap at the top of the door. The double bed wasn’t actually a double bed just 2 singles pressed together which kept sliding when getting on and off the bed. It was okay though if you aren’t fussed easily. Only real problem for me was the big gap above the door which was a privacy issue.

- somaraz (2/5): Terrible experience - While I don’t expect luxury conditions in a cheap hotel, I do expect the electricity to work: theirs didn’t. No one could tell us if or when it would be fixed. No one called me back after I called to find out if they would refund our payment or help us in some way. We left and found another place to stay before it got dark. Spare yourself and don’t stay at this place.

Not clean, sketchy rooms, and nothing at all like the photos. It has deteriorated significantly since the photos were taken.

- Elizabeth (2/5): - Upon check-in, guests are asked to send photos of their passport via email or WhatsApp. Unfortunately, their email does not function—likely due to an expired domain—leaving WhatsApp as the only option to send sensitive identification documents, which raises serious privacy concerns. We specifically paid extra for a private bathroom. However, when using it, I noticed water dripping from the ceiling. Upon closer inspection, it became clear that this was wastewater from the toilet in the room above us. This means human waste was literally dripping onto us while using the facilities—completely unacceptable and unsanitary. The ceiling was also heavily infested with mold. The bathroom was unusable, and we ended up having to go elsewhere just to use the restroom. We immediately contacted the property, and they replied the next day (24 hours later) saying someone would arrive within 10 minutes. When we returned, nothing had been addressed—the bathroom remained in the same horrifying condition. We requested a full refund, but have since received no response. There is no one available at the front desk, and communication is non-existent. The room itself had a broken sink. We were not given any blankets, just a single bed sheet. While I can tolerate minimal service, I cannot accept paying extra for what is clearly a biohazard. The lack of hygiene, safety, and customer support is completely unacceptable. Do not book here.
- John (2/5): - Good: close to rail station. Bad: no toilet paper despite numerous requests, shower mixer missing so could not wash, dirty sheets on bed. There were roadworks happening outside from 11pm till 2am so could not sleep despite using earplugs. Nobody at reception in the morning to discuss our concerns. Worst hotel ever! Plus they tried to overcharge the city tax.
- William (2/5): Pickpocket Paradise - I was pickpocketed while checking in! Unbelievable. You had to use a code to get in the door at street level. The reception is upstairs. I got in the door at street level and there were two men in the hall talking. I had two large suitcases. One man immediately put out his cigarette and stated to lift the other end of my case. The other man stayed behind me and I lifted the 2nd bag upstairs. The 2nd man followed me up the narrow stairs. When we got to Reception, both men went back downstairs. There was a delay in getting my key. When I got to my room I discovered my pants pocket was cut open and my wallet was gone. There was a wash hand basin in the room with a small tablet of soap and a sachet of hand cream / moisturiser. I was also provided along with towels. However there was no outlet pipe attached to the hand basin so when I poured a bottle into the basin it splashed out on my feet.

- Tatiana (2/5): - Worst hotel ever They never sent the code to get in has to call to the “emergency number” they gave it to me and the room number once I got in it was self check in there were no keys for the assigned room they told me, u call back again to the “emergency number” and they said they were en Rome so they couldn’t do anything. There was a guy that lives there but supposedly doesn’t work for the hotel but he was wearing a shirt with the hotel logo, he had no answers neither solutions he just stood there and look us trying to call the help number. I had to take the keys available and start opening doors to check what room was available. AVOID THIS “HOTEL” It is so sad that Expedia can’t do anything on this cases you guys should take care or your customers and help them with solutions. -1 stars to Expedia too.

- Sam88lv (8/5): Great location - I previously rated this hotel 1 star due to fact that they don't respond to any emails or what's app messages directly or from the Gregori hotel group. That hasn't changed and I was dreading our stay after booking a room before checking the reviews. However we did stay had room 6 which was spacious and clean. The sheets were white crisp cotton the bed was big. The towels were nice white quality cotton. The room had a tv fridge and kettle which was especially welcomed. The bathroom was small with a shower lots of hot water. These were the positives onto not so great the fridge wasn't that good. The shower head needs replacing and the sink is very slow to drain. Perhaps a lick of paint would work wonders? The building is of course really old screaming out for restoration. But having said that it does have some charm about it and for what we paid for a great location were happy and pleased we stayed.

There was no fitted sheets on the bed, only a top sheet which moved all night leaving the mattress exposed to be slept on, which felt so disgusting. Have emailed and WhatsApped the hotel about this for a refund and cover for the extra cost of the other hotel but no reply. Very very bad customer service!!

- barrykW8015BU (2/5): Do not book this Hotel - Probably the worst hotel that we have stayed in The rooms bear no resemblance to to the web site photos.We arrived to a stale unpleasant odour The rooms were tired & in need of redecoration the door to our room was flimsy & there were gaps at the top of adjoining rooms.Our friends room had not been cleaned with footprints up the wall & exposed wiring outside . Having seen the poor condition of the hotel all 6 of agreed to find alternative accommodation, which we did for similar money but to a far superior standard Needless to say the hotel have not responded to emails & there was no one at the hotel to put our concerns to when we arrived In short do not book to stay here

Lots of confused people and it is all unlocked. There was no hot water for 4 days... zero response. The service was non existent and wasn't dirty but not clean. Again- not ok to not have reception, we got the whatsapp message, other guests didn't. if you are in late, not sure how you get in? Again- total mess, not at all as advertised, and 4 days, no hot water- inexcusable, and zero communication about it

- johnfD6992CW (2/5): The worst hotel I've ever stayed at! - If you enjoy cold showers, an hour to check in because there was no one at the desk and you did not receive the necessary information ahead of time, and never once speaking with an employee in the three days you are there, than this is the place for you. Oh, and out my window in my room was a storage area with old paint and chemicals. It looked like an old storage room that was accesible through my room window and through a window in the hallway. I did not feel safe at all. I've travelled a lot through the USA and Europe, and without a doubt this was the worst place I've ever stayed at.

We spoke to multiple other people who were staying at the hotel and having the same issues as us. There was ZERO hot water for the 2 days we were there and no one to contact. We attempted to contact them through Expedia and WhatsApp as they requested, but there was no response or even a follow up. The shower would not drain. The toilet flush handle was broken. There were bugs (mosquitoes) smeared with other people’s blood on the walls. Shoe prints and cracks all over the walls and ceilings. It was advertised as a room that was cleaned daily but there was no service provided. When we had to reached out to Expedia to even get into contact with the hotel. The hotel still did not respond. There is no one at the front desk at any hours except for when we checked in. This place ruined a good portion of our trip. I would highly suggest you find someplace else.

We were happy to find a nice place near the train station in what turned out to be a quiet neighborhood. We were within walking distance of all the tourist attractions in the city centre, and less than ten minutes from the train station. We’d definitely stay here again!

- Annki (8/5): All about location - The place was old and weary with lots of stairs and no lift, but you get what you are paying for. The location can not be better, close to everything, train, bus or airport transfer. Still in the old town with everything.
- valentinav277 (2/5): Warning! Don’t ruin your stay - Terrible customer service. If you need your bags stored, don't be fooled by the answers or descriptions, they will receive them after 10am. Otherwise you will be forced to be served by WhatsApp where you will be ignored until 10am, no matter what time you arrive. Also the walls are full of mould, it's dark, it has gloomy vibes that ruin your stay. I couldn't get into the rooms because I was left outside the hotel waiting until they felt like coming, then they stopped responding to me after agreeing to refund my money, therefore they kept the money, without replying to me on WhatsApp or Booking (of course, don't expect them to reply to you on Booking). If you want to have a Placid stay please don't stay at this hotel.

The room was a bit more like a prison than a comfortable room to return to after being on one's feet all day through the streets of Florence.The bed had sheets that kept slipping off in the night. Worst of all my head was forced to sleep near a hot radiator. I had to put my towels on it to reduce the heat, which was not controlled in the room. The staff was quite friendly and attentive. They helped mitigate the rooms defects. And it was located in quite a good area.

- JOELIA (6/5): Simples e um pouco desconfortável - Um hotel simples, mas bem localizado, a poucos minutos de tudo a pé. A equipe foi cordial, mas também não tivemos necessidades maiores. O check in ocorreu rapidamente e o quarto estava pronto antes do tempo. O quarto é simples, mas a cama é travesseiros eram desconfortáveis. O banheiro privativo cumpria suas funções, mas a privada estava descolada do chão, o que era um risco com o peso. O banheiro estava limpo, mas cortininha do banheiro estava suja e fedendo. No armário tinham cobertores que não estavam limpos, mas não precisamos usar. Debaixo da cama estava sujo inclusive com papel higiênico de outros hóspedes, o que significa que não foi limpo adequadamente. Ao lado da porta do quarto tinha um banheiro externo onde era possível ouvir a porta abrindo o tempo todo, além de ouvir as pessoas fazendo suas necessidades. Outra coisa ruim eram as chaves antigas que não encaixavam na fechadura. Resumindo, um hotel em conta e sem luxo para quem quer economizar, mas que tem problemas simples que já poderiam ser resolvidos.
- Rebekah (6/5): - Location of the hotel was great, close to the train station and the main attractions were really close by. The guy that checked us in was very polite and helpful when we couldn’t lock our door properly. The room we stayed in was pretty run down but large and had everything we needed (room 10). On the last night we were woken up by an alarm from a shop of sorts out our window at 3am which then turned into hammering and drilling from around 3:30am to 8:30am therefore we had an awful sleep and were glad to be leaving that morning. Upon checkout the woman at reception who we hadn’t met yet didn’t seem ready to entertain guest and when we asked to leave our luggage for a couple of hours before our train we felt like it was a chore and we actually then debated if we should leave it or just take it with us. When coming back for the luggage we were met with the same rudeness and she frankly just couldn’t be bothered which was disheartening when you’re paying to stay and especially when we were 2 females alone. Personally wouldn’t stay again which is a shame as we’ll definitely return to Florence.

- carol (6/5): Great location and price - We recently stayed two nights each in the “classic city view” and “superior city view” rooms on our way into and out of Florence. Getting there from the airport was a breeze. Surface tram to a short walk into town. I think a cab would have been more of a problem. A car of your own, a nightmare. We arranged late check in which was flawless. The staff communicated very well and the system they used worked well. The rooms are adequate. Well cleaned but I’ll say maintenance must be tough in these old buildings. It was well worn. In the Superior room, the sheets were clean but the bed cover had old stains and was “past its respectable life”. Both rooms had instant coffee and an electric kettle. The superior had a small fridge. NO AC but a fan and an open window were fine the end of September October. Bathrooms in the rooms were clean water hot and plentiful. Shower heads were a bit past their life sort of sputtering water out. The toilet in the superior room was temperamental. There was actually a hand written sign saying hold the button down for a while. It worked more than not. Again, location!!!! You could pay a lot more but this location was great for the historical down town, museums, cafes, we literally walked everywhere. There was a cafe downstairs from our windows that were active until easily 11pm. Much quieter if you can close the window. So, if a little deferred maintenance is something you find charming this is a gem.

- carol (10/5): Late check in flawless - Great location in old town core. Older building two flights of stairs to rooms. No AC, but a fan in the room and nice window for ventilation. We went late September with day time temps at 80 but were comfortable. Helpful front desk staff during hours. We had an after hours check in but were informed the day prior about how to get in and it worked flawlessly.

The staff were incredibly helpful and prompt in their response when we required a late check-in. They allowed us to leave our bags at the hotel after check out so we could explore the city and return to grab our bags when it was time for our train later in the afternoon. The rooms weren't anything special, but had everything that we needed for the night. I would definitely stay here again.

- I1255ZEanitag (8/5): Like a pensione from years ago - The Hotel Ferretti is a small hotel that will remind you of Italian pensione from years ago. It's within easy walking distance of the train station, but on a quiet street with nearby restaurants and cafes. My room was small but very clean and completely sufficient for my needs. The bed was comfortable and the room had a sink, table, and wardrobe. The bathroom in the hall was small but very clean with up-to-date fittings.

The helper there was very friendly and helpful--they had even already put our bags in our rooms. The building is quite older, so there is some wear and tear--but nothing too crazy. There is not a lift. Conveniently close to the train station and attractions.

We didn’t have to take any public transport because everything was so close to where this hotel is. Lots of restaurants and shops right outside. Although there is no lift, so we had to go up a LOT of stairs, the room and bathroom were very nice, the bathroom was right outside our room and was clean and spacious. Our room was a good size and had a nice window- although the bedding was horrendous. The duvet had no cover and was extremely scratchy and uncomfortable. We had to use our towels as blankets. All in all very nice stay and would just recommend better bedding.
- V9746BCingridm (2/5): the most terrible - The worst experience I have ever had, it has nothing to do with the photos, the place is horrible, they do not provide cleaning service to the rooms and it is full of bugs, it has no elevator, no breakfast as it says, the bathrooms are shared and the Super uncomfortable beds, it's not a hotel, it's a pension and it's terrible. la peor experencia que he tenido, no tiene nada que ver con las fotos, el lugar es horrible, no dan servicio de limpieza a los cuartos y esta lleno de bichos, no tiene elevador, ni desayuno como dice, los baños son compartidos y las camas super incomodas, no es hotel es una pension y es terrible.

Cool building right in the centre of EVERYTHING. More like a hostel with private rooms. Super high ceilings. Great window Rapunzal!! All you really need to sight see and take in Florence.

- 384linderd (4/5): Find another place to stay! - First, you had to walk up three flights of stairs to get to the lobby. There was no hot water in the shower. The bathroom is shared with 5 other rooms on the floor! Only one roll of toilet paper, it ran out real fast. The picture doesn't look anything like the room we stayed in. There was a refrigerator in the room, it was a big room with 1 king bed and two twins. The staff was friendly and carried our bags up and down the stairs. We were on the 2nd floor so we had 2 more flights of stairs to go up and down just to get to the lobby. Location was great, a 5 minute walk to Duomo.
- Mark (8/5): Great Florence location! - The building needs some renovation and maintenance repairs but it was clean, great location and the service was excellent. There’s s a lot of stairs to walk up with luggage but doable.
