- Sarah (9/5): Friendly, spotlessly clean hotel in a fantastic location. - Arrived early expecting to just leave our bags in, but the lovely gentleman at reception said the room was ready, and could go straight up! The hotel is quirky, and has an old lift. Rooms may be slightly smaller. Our main priority in any Hotel is cleanliness and quality of sleep. The Sonya is absolutely spotless - (yes there was a few marks on the wallpaper), and the beds are so comfortable, the bathroom is like new, and the shower is lovely. TIP: If your hairdryer doesn't work, turn off the TV and take out any chargers - it will then work on the lower setting, this only happened to us once! It is in a perfect location across from the Opera House - within walking distance of most of Romes attractions (we got a Metro to the Vatican) and good value for money. Breakfast was in the Hotel itself - looks like a new dining room, small but perfectly formed! Basic choice but the food was tasty, and plentiful -and just ask if you can't find something. We were on the 1st floor, and were expecting more street noise, it was actually very quiet. You are going to get queues at Reception at peak times in any hotel, but we found the staff friendly and helpful. Would stay again! Sarah Newer hair dryer? only fault we had. Possibly a slightly bigger choice at breakfast?

Als wir da aber ankamen hiess es das Hotel sei voll und wie bekommen ein anderes "Hotel". - Dieses War hinter einer Ecke und das war schrecklich. Einffach ein Bunker. - Das Zimmer war so dunkel, ohne Fenster, Wenn man duschte lief das ganze Wasser aus dem Badezimmer, eine Heizung in der nähe des Spiegels war auf VOLL eingeschaltet, liess sich nicht ausschalten was alleine das zähneputzen erschwerte weil es so heiss war. Wir haben reklamiert das es nicht in Ordung seit das man einffach ein anderes Hotel bekommt ohne info. - Der typ an der Rezeption meinte "jaja, sie wurden sicher informiert" ( wurden wir aber nicht! Habe es 100 mal gescheckt.) Würde da niemehr buchen! Überall lauerten Drogenabhängige in den Gassen und man wurde regelrecht beobachtet und angesprochen wenn man ins Haus wollte.

- Iris Andreea (4/5): We love Rome, but not at this hotel anymore. - We ve been coming at least twice a year at this hotel since 2019 and it was a nice experience, even though the price was a little too big for what it offers. The position of the hotel is very good, close to the termini train station and we could walk everywhere. But this time it was really bad and for sure our last time here. It was very uncomfortable, there was a lot of dust and it really doesn t justifiy the price(550€ for 2 nights). No facilities 😀 not even tea or napkins.

- Patrick Lüdecke (4/5): - Das Personal war außerordentlich freundlich und bemüht. Zusätzlich ist die zentrale Lage wirklich hervorragend für Sightseeing. Man kann sich Sternförmig zu allen Hotspots bewegen und hat keine zu langen Distanzen. Die Fenster waren sehr lärmdurchlässig. Ab 23 Uhr fährt die Straßenreinigung auf und ab, ab 6 Uhr wird Müll abgeholt. Auch sonst alles sehr hellhörig. Schlaf war nur begrenzt zu bekommen. Das Frühstück war sehr limitiert und wenig abwechslungsreich. Die Kaffeemaschine nicht das, was man in Italien an Kaffeequalität erwartet, die warmen Speisen waren hauptsächlich eher schon erkaltet. Unser Zimmer hatte ehrlicherweise die besten Zeiten hinter sich, aber wenn man viel unterwegs ist, ist das auch zweitrangig.

- Javier (8/5): Calidad precio es correcto. - La ubicación estaba muy bien muy cerca de metro (Termini y República) que en 5 minutos llegas al centro, la zona de termini no tiene muy buena fama pero concretamente donde esta situado el hotel se puede pasear tranquilo tanto de día como de noche es una zona muy concurrida donde hay muchos restaurantes, a mi concretamente me gusto mucho. Concretamente nuestra habitación era limpia y cómoda pero se veía bastante vieja.

- Joy (7/5): Great location, clean, with a great manager- Priscilla. - Location- close to restaurants, train station, coffee shops, food market. Across the street from performing arts theatre. Manager Priscilla was great, explaining the initial stay non-payment problem with booking.com related to transfer of ownership. She gave us free bkft vouchers for the confusion and the way we were treated upon arrival by the checkin host. The showers were with great water pressure and hot. Safety and privacy of rooms. The initial checkin-The two men who work there that we dealt with were not friendly, didn’t smile. And the man who checked us in did not treat us well. We stayed a total of five nights and on the third night had to stay in a different building down the street that was old and the room was very small. on our initial two nights, the room was mediocre. The safety box didn’t work and the refrigerator didn’t work well. The last two nights our room was better, but they aren’t like they look in the pictures. Not a big deal to us, but the mirror TV unit did not have a clear speaker.

Llegabas a una recepción y de ahí te llevaban a un edificio sin recepción ni nada a una habitación. El aseo estuvo muy mal. Dejé unas sandalias debajo de la cama el primer día y nunca las sacaron

- Klinta (7/5): - The staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel is located near Termini Station, which is very convenient for exploring Rome on foot and visiting all the main attractions. The room was clean and had everything needed for a couple of nights’ stay. I had booked a room with two separate beds for two people, but we were given only one large blanket, and one of us had to sleep with a throw we found in the closet. The sound insulation was very poor—on the first night it was impossible to fall asleep because we could clearly hear people talking loudly in the next room. Additionally, the door to the hallway does not reach the floor, and the hallway light stays on all the time, shining into the room and making it difficult to sleep. In the morning, we could hear the cleaners in the hallway as they started working early, and the noise woke me up. Earplugs and an eye mask are definitely necessary if you want to be able to fall asleep and stay asleep.

Személyzet kommunikációja kifogásolható. 10 perccel 3 előtt is még azt mondták nincs kész a szoba. Nem volt paplanhuzat, két lepedővel próbálták helyettesíteni. A fürdőben a zuhany kabin alja teteje penészes volt.

Ruídos provenientes de outros hóspedes, seja na entrada ou saída, são plenamente audíveis, como se a porta estivesse aberta. Esta situação pode ser bastante perturbadora para quem procura descansar após um dia exaustivo a explorar Roma. Adicionalmente, as equipas de limpeza iniciam as suas atividades por volta das 8h00, gerando ruído com sacos de plástico e conversas, o que, devido à ausência de isolamento acústico, se torna audível nos quartos, comprometendo o descanso matinal. O pequeno-almoço localizado 3 minutos do hotel, não se destaca pela sua qualidade. Foram necessárias duas tentativas, ao longo de quatro noites, para compreendermos e garantirmos o que nos era devido. Se a intenção for tomar o pequeno-almoço e ficar satisfeito, é possível fazê-lo, mas com custo adicional. Constatamos também que, para um serviço mais eficiente, é aconselhável ir cedo, pois o espaço fica significativamente mais confuso e demorado quando lotado. Relativamente ao elevador, embora o tenhamos utilizado apenas duas vezes, não transmitiu grande confiança.

Personalas gana paslaugus ir malonus. Kambaryje buvo tarakonas... Nors personalas pakeitė kambarį, patirtis nebuvo labai maloni.

Front end reception needs a new receptionist! The front end reception was very ignorant and rude! Served 3 customers before serving us, how ignorant! We were the first clients in the door. We spoke up several times to the point of being peeved off to get him to serve us! Apparently bed was broken so sent us to another hotel. Beautiful hotel but a horrible smell in bathrooms, all rooms have it sadly! Stay away from hotel Sonya!
- Janet (9/5): This was a nice hotel and convenient to everything. Would stay here again. - Room was quiet and clean. Elevator was great. Breakfast was very good though we had to walk to a restaurant around the corner. The location was very good. Within walking distance to colosseum and Termini. Bathroom was very narrow and hard to maneuver around but very clean.

- Jessica (8/5): Not luxury but excellent value for money. Location super - Location was amazing. Bed was comfortable and was well equipped . Room cleaned daily 3 night stay. Safe didn’t work reported to reception who apologized but it didn’t get fixed.

- Neil (5/5): - Fridge, kettle in room and normal safe with key. Nice big double bed. Room was dated but clean and everything worked. No restaurant on site for breakfast so you had to walk around the corner to a local cafe where you handed in vouchers. There was a supermarket across the road so we bought pastries and coffee sachets from there.

- Anna (8/5): Comfortable stay within easy reach of Roma Termini - Location very close to Termini and Shopping including a supermarket. Area feels safe and easy to navigate around. We had a room in dependance across the street, which was large and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and easy to reach in person and on the phone. AC worked well. Good value for money. Shower is over the bath and is almost impossible to not spill water over the floor as the screen does not fit well. Lift in dependance not always reliable as people forget to close inner doors, so it gets stuck on a different floor.

- Catalina (3/5): Mala - Espacioso, la limpieza era impecable, la ubicación muy buena, además habían tazas, hervidor y plancha de ropa Nos mandaron a otro hotel, que estaba cruzando la cuadra, se llamaba “hotel opera” el desayuno era a DOS cuadras del hotel e incluso al principio nos dijeron que no estaba incluido a pesar de que pagamos, tuvimos que insistir. Las camas eran malas, duras, eran catres. Los lavamanos estaban tapados, la puerta de la ducha y del baño estaban malas, no cerraban completamente. La pieza tenia olor a humedad siempre a pesar de prender el aire acondicionado y abrir ventanas, el baños estaba bajando la escalera, una persona con problemas de movilidad no podía acceder libremente, muy mal aislamiento, se escuchaba todo de arriba y de los lados, instalaciones viejas, pieza oscura, no es nada parecido a las fotos.
- Ricardo (7/5): Good location - Good location near the rome termini ( 8 min walking) I dont know if it was a mistake but a person tried to enter the room while we were there, when i ask her what she was doing, could not tell a reason to go in the room. Hopefully we were in the room
- David (3/5): Lower your expectations drastically if you intend to stay here. - Its location was within a reasonable walking distance from the main attractions and all public transport, i.e. train/bus/metro. Cramped and scruffy. The bathroom was so small and narrow you had to be a contortionist to use the facilities. The water in the sink and shower both ran brown when I first used them. It was horrific. The room was so tiny you had to move things around to access the ‘wardrobe’. The tea and coffee making facilities consisted of a kettle and a cup. Presumably you had to provide all the other components yourself. Breakfast was provided by a cafe located 200 yards down the street and was limited to eggs and a tiny croissant with a coffee and an orange juice. When I was checking in, there was a woman at reception begging the attendant to move rooms (for the third time apparently) or move hotel. That was my first clue. I’m seriously considering whether I should continue to rely on Booking.com because this is the second time I’ve found myself in a truly horrible hotel.
- liliana noemi (6/5): - Buena ubicación. Bares y Carrefour cerca. Sta María magiore cerca. Cama para la tercera persona mala, es un catre. El secador de pelo no funciona. La televisión no funciona bien. No hay desayuno dentro del hotel. Al bar dónde te envían es malo. Hay que elegir otro!!

- Luma (8/5): - A localização é ótima. A acomodação também, de forma geral, embora haja desvantagens O elevador é bem antigo, mas pelo menos há um elevador. Achei meio inconveniente q no anúncio diz ter ar condicionado mas na chegada o funcionário pediu para na ligar pois fazia barulho na recepção.

- Claudia (10/5): Localização perfeita - Localização maravilhosa!! Hotel simples, mas entrega tudo com excelência. Cama ótima, chuveiro incrível. Por estar em uma área movimentada da cidade, a noite é um pouco barulhenta.

- trujillo (8/5): Buena ubicación, perfecta relación calidad precio. - Lo mejor del hotel es la ubicación, el personal amable y las comodidades que te ofrecen (sin pagar extras) con los niños. La cuna estaba sucia, el ascensor es incomodo para el carro.
