Guest Reviews
- lucille (8/5): - Breakfast was healthy and good choices.
Staff was very professional and friendly.
- Roger (10/5): - Amazing staff
- Wioletta (8/5): - The hotel was in a very good location, with very friendly staff — especially the man at the reception, who was extremely kind and helpful. No matter what you asked, he was always ready to assist. Very pleasant service. I highly recommend it.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Really good stay for my 2 boys and I. The sheets were crisp and clean and the room was spacious. Everything was as clean as it could be with the dated look and old carpet in the room. It would be nice if the rooms were as decorative as the hallways. Super price for everything we needed. Stellar location just a short distance from the water bus station. Plenty of restaurants right out the door of the hotel. The beach was a quick walk too. Nice and relaxing after being in the heart of it all day long. Devi recommended if you don’t want fancy and elegant rooms. The staff is super friendly and accommodating.
- Adriana (6/5): - The shower door was hard to close shut it was two doors that came together in a corner which made the rest of the bathroom extremely wet, to use the toilet we had to wear our shoes and then dry them to come into the room. The area was great.
- Santosh (10/5): - Excellent
- Laura (8/5): - Staff are the friendliest and most help that we’ve encountered so far on our euro holiday. Rooms are quaint and the a/c was so welcomed. Beds were comfy and cleanliness was top notch. Breakfast was great. Only downside was that although advertised as having laundry service there was none.
- Owen (10/5): - Very nice hotel definitely worth the price and everything was smooth staying there.
- Anatoliy (10/5): - a nice friendly stay :)
- John (8/5): - Located in Lido about 40 minute on a boat from Venice train station. Staff was helpful to get to the hotel. Good dining options near the hotel.
- Geitta (6/5): - Not far from Metro. Friendly staff. Bathroom had mold on the window and showerhead stand was broken.
- Faria Mehjabin (10/5): - Great place to stay at Venice. It’s a bit away from all the crowd so it’s definitely a nice place to come back and chill after a long day. Great breakfast food
The staff are very friendly
- Naveen (8/5): - It was a nice experience. Closer to the lidi beaches, the stay was excellent. Transportation (port) was close by.
Breakfast was a let down with not much variety and the same fixed menu.
But then again you are not in Venice for breakfast!!!
Ill definitely recommends this place.
- James (8/5): - Convenient location for transport and restaurants. Better value than central Venice
- Geovano (10/5): - Great place !!!!
- Tony (6/5): - The air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool. The shower didnt have a glass partition so we were forced to take baths, but because the tub didnt have a stopper we basically flopped around in a metal tub trying our best to have a wash. Hotel was overall "okay" we didnt mind it because we only paid 114 Euros per night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): convenient, clean and friendly - The hotel is on the main boulevard in Lido, close to the beach and close to the Lido's water bus station. it is absolutely convenient. We were worried if we could hear the street noise at night but it was very quiet as the room was at the back, away from the street. The bathroom was very clean. The receptionists were all very friendly. The kitchen staff for breakfast was very friendly and helpful.
- Mark (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff, Good continental breakfast and clean, comfortable rooms. Have stayed here four times over the last 20 years and we've never been disappointed. Highly recommended.
- Susan (8/5): Decent enough place when the weather is cool - Breakfast is decent enough and the room is spacious compared to some of the others around Lido. It would be an even better score if there was a refrigerator.
- Shaikh (10/5): - Very good!
- Suyash (6/5): - Good service, rooms are old and we ran out of hot water on our last day, had to shower with cold water. Also, they dont have a real place to store your luggage and it just sits in the lobby.
- Paul John (8/5): - Pros........
Price was resonable fir the stay.
Staff friendly and welcoming.
Quiet if closing windows, but no loud noises which caused a problem.
Locality to shops, transport and walking.
Neutral.........
Breakfast was basic, but searved enough to set up for the day....would like some hot food like saugages, bacon etc...instead of ham and cheese, but not a big issue......
Bed sheets clean but old fashion beds spreads.
Negatives.....
Hotel rooms need updating.
Need duvets instead of blanket.
Obvious signs of mould in bathroom which has trued to be dealt with, needs updating and decorated.
No tea making facility in rooms have to wait till 8 to make a cuppa.
Unable to use safe, dod report it but never got fixed so had to carry certain things with me instead of locking away.
Would i stay again.....maybe but might see what else is about first that offers bettter facilities.
- Luz (10/5): - Clean and friendly staff
- Jing (10/5): - Very convenient location, 5 min walk to ferry so one boat ride away from main island of Venice.
Lots of dinning options nearby. The owner waited for us at the ferry exit on the day of arrival which is very nice since we arrived late.
Will come again !
- ENNIO (10/5): - For the price it could not be better!
- Lynne (8/5): - Quaint but older this property seems average of what to expect on the island. Convenience a huge plus. Felt safe and clean. I liked it
- Teresa (6/5): - Old hotel, okay for one night.
- Marcin (8/5): Nice hotel - Really good location, easy to get Venice, nice breakfast, very comfy beds - recommended
- Jurgita (8/5): - Perfect location, close to water transport, lots of places to eat around or hire a bike, close to the beach. Bed sheets and towels clean and room was cleaned and tidy up every day. If you don’t have a high expectation and need just a cheaper and clean place somewhere to sleep when this place it is just perfect for you.
- William (4/5): Needs Attention - The place needs a good over hall. The staff were good and friendly. The room we had was not as stated on our booking, plus the fridge did not work, electric sockets were very poor, the one in the bathroom actually came away from its fitting when attempting to put the hair dryer on. Excellent location but needs attention if we were ever going to stay there again.
- Surian (10/5): Great place to stay - Very good
- AJ (10/5): - Great Place to stay if you want to escape the Hustle of Venice and relax, on the island of Lido about 20 minutes from Venice major attractions, and Water ferries are convinient to and fro.
all the staff are great and some good restaurants nearby.
- Wallace (6/5): - This is a decent 2 star hotel. Breakfast is served every morning and is very nice. The breakfast does start a bit on the late side (8am), but this may be OK depending on the purpose of your trip. It's right on the main drag close to lots of restaurants and to the vaporetto station.
My only complaint is that the invoice provided by the hotel is a bit strange. It's not quite like the way the invoices at most chain hotels look like, which provide the rate, etc. per night. Instead, they give you an invoice that has a number (# of nights) and a figure next to it. Also, at the end of your stay, they want a tourist tax, payable in cash only (no CC)? I still haven't figured out if that was a scam, but this was 8 euros for me.
- Saad (10/5): Nice hotel just 15 min to St.Marco by boat. - Friendly stuff, clean room, good breakfast and just a 5 min walk from the transportation.
- Rachel (10/5): Highly recommend - Amazing stay! Great service and awesome amendities and free breakfast :)
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location - would stay again! - Hotel in great location on a wide tree lined street a short walk to the main Vaporetto water buses across to Venice and buses around the Lido itself. Plenty of places to eat and shop and hire bikes right on your doorstep and within walking distance of the beach. Reception is open 24 hours with friendly, helpful staff. My en-suite room was spacious and clean with TV and safe. Good breakfast included.
- Paul (10/5): Perfect Hotel - Wonderful hotel, staff were friendly and amazing. Location was ideal so really could not have asked for a better hotel
Will most certainly stay here again
- Verified traveler (8/5): - not the best Wifi. Perfect for a room to sleep in and be out all day. but AC worked really well.
- Anastasia (10/5): Atmosferic and historical - Amazing for its two stars and the price. Old in the good sense of the word. Stylish,
friendly, cozy, in excellent location.
- Stuart (10/5): Excellent hotel - This hotel is perfect for staying on the Lido and access to the main island by water bus and water taxi.
There are some nice restaurants (avoid the Chinese 2 roads away from hotel, no taste and no meat in the crispy beef.)
- Donna (10/5): October 2016 Visit - We arrived on 02 October 2016 to 08 October 2016. The hotel is literally a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal to the airport or Venice itself.
The staff are very helpful and even lent us a travel adapter as we had forgotten ours.
The rooms are very spacious, we had room 33 which had a double bed (two singles pushed together) a spare single bed, double wardrobes and a en-suite shower, toilet room.
It may only be rated at 2 stars but we would have rated it as a 3 star.
Breakfast is cerials, rolls, croissants, yohurts and a couple of drinks machines of tea, coffee, juice etc.
- Alan (10/5): central and clean - a nice place to stay ,on the main road. parking in side streets was easy and for 4 eruos a day quiet and nice place to stop.28 eruos to get there on car frerry
- Verified traveler (8/5): Enjoyable stay - Great location near to vaporetto stop and beach, shops, restaurants etc.
Hotel old fashioned, nice atmosphere with clean, spacious room with balcony overlooking front ( 16). However, could be quite noisy with traffic as on main road, so rooms at back might be quieter if you are a light sleeper. A kettle in the room would be nice, as would a fridge, but great value for money overall.
Friendly hotel staff and nice breakfast. Would stay again.
- Sergio (8/5): Very nice hotel to stay when visiting Venice! - It's a great location with excellent restaurants within walking distance. It's 2 blicks from water bus and 2 blicks from the beach. The room was very clean with A/C and celing fan. Breakfast was very good with pastries and cold cuts. The staff was great, Andrea and Alessandro go out of their way to help you, like having breafast ready before 7 AM for early departure.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Super clean, great staff, no frills hotel. Highly recommend.
Thank you Andrea for your kindness.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - great place to stay to explore Venetian Lido - or venice itself
- k (10/5): Perfect location for Venice and beach - As above perfect location lots of restaurants near to choose from
- Sharon O (8/5): Enjoyed Lido - away from the Venice crowds - when we arrived we were taken to another hotel around the corner - we were told something about the a/c being on the blink. So day 2 we had to move back to Cristallo, which was inconvenient. Otherwise, things were fine.
- julie (8/5): Nice, comfortable and convenient - This hotel is not located in Venice, it is located in an island 15 min from the main island of Venice. The room was very spacious, clean and convenient for it's price rage. My daughter and I stayed there during the end of July. The hotel is located 2 blocks from the water bus station and 3 to 4 blocks walking distance from the beach. The hotel is located on a main street with many restaurants within walking distance. The people there are mostly Italian/European tourists, very few people speak fluent English, but enough to get around. Many families with young children and local youth.
- Akhil (8/5): - Overall good stay. Decent hotel. Excellent pricing.
- Ana Mercedes (6/5): Extremely disappointing service.Charged twice. - Extremely disappointing service. This hotel charged me twice (additional 180 euros) I contacted them and asked them to return my money with no response, their staff mistake cost me money and time, watch out DO NOT BOOK a room with them. You risk your bank card being charged twice.
- Maziar (6/5): Venice Adventures - It is an old hotel but clean . shower are very small and old . Location is very good ,close to sea bus .
- leticia S. (10/5): grazie - very pleasant. very helpful front desk service. terrific price, close to the pier & shops.
- Kennedy (8/5): Good stay and excellent staff - Four beds in a room looked a bit cramed for the price we paid. A kettle with tea/coffee would be great
- David (10/5): 5 mins to the ferry to Venice.
- Well run and hospitable Hotel.
Good continental breakfast. Local shops nearby.
Surrounded by good Restaurants and Bars.
- Wendy (8/5): short walk from the Lido water taxi . - A short walk from the Lido water taxi stop, not hard to find, entrance is on the side. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and have everything you need. Breakfast is more than adequate with a hot chocolate to die for just no toast but who cares we staggered out each morning and didn't really need lunch.
- happy (10/5): Well worth the price - Newly renovated beautiful bathroom, in dated but comfortable room, breakfast is simple but effective. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way when we had a problem. Try not to book your departure too early as you can not always get an early boat to the train or Airport and water taxi's are very expensive. We had this problem and the hotel found us a hotel closer to the station for the last night, no extra cost, could not have asked for more.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A good value hotel. - Excellent staff who couldn't do enough to please. We only needed a base and this hotel was fine for that.
- Justyna (2/5): Tired and very outdated/small/avoid - Our room was very small, tired and outdated. Tiny beds, hardly any space to move around, pillows hard as a rock, noise from the elevator and next door guests. Looked like the hotel was furbished in 1950/60 and never got updated. Carpet with stain, rubbish under the bed, no tea/coffee facilities. For that price and location far from Venice I would at least put a bottle of water on a side table as a warm welcome.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel nice location - Hotel check in was smooth, staff were nice. It is dated but very clean, great location for travelling into Venice City Center. All in all very good stay, breakfast basic but adequate, croissants, cereal, rolls, ham and cheese and yoghurts only thing missing was fruit really.
Would stay again.
- Elizabete (2/5): - The service was good. Helpful staff. But far from the centre of Venice.it's very close from the boat service.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Elizabeth EL Tayar - I enjoy my stay in the hotel but would like to recommend that the bed must be change was not too comfortable. otherwise everything was good. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Satisfactory - Basic standArds. No tea or coffee in rooms. Basic breakfast.
No one mentioned in the booking we would have to pay visitors tax at hotel.
- Lebanang (6/5): Good - All was good
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice, affordable and comfortable hotel - The hotel is very near the pier, restaurants, supermarket and shops. It is in the heart of the island. The room is clean. The bed is comfortable. The staff are very friendly and accommodating; speaks English.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Highly highly highly recommended - Fantastic awesome experience at This hotel. Hotel staff made us feel like home, and I believe that is an adequate statement to describe this hotel. Familylike staff, well kept room, nice and fresh breakfast, and super convenient location, what more could one ask for? Yes, the hotel itself is an old building but what matters most is not the building itself but how you are treated, right? -Miss Tang and Miss O
- Glyn (8/5): Very enjoyable stay - I enjoyed my stay and the staff were friendly and helpful. Lido is a 10 minute boat ride from Venice with very regular ferries. Venice is absolutely beautiful. In my opinion its best to go in the winter to miss the heat and crowds. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Fun! - The hotel is very conveniently located, 5 minutes from the ferry, about 10 minutes to the beach, and on the main strip (so it is easy to get to restaurants and shops). The free WiFi was wonderful (we were able to seamlessly stream Netflix in our room) and the room was spacious with a fantastic bathroom. The free breakfast was not extravagant but got the job done with chocolate croissants, coffee, yogurt, cereal, and small sandwiches. Our only complaint was that after a few days the bed was not too comfortable! Lovely hotel and a lovely island!!
- Sr. Francesca (10/5): Excellent hotel and the staff are wonderful... - I like absolute to recommend the people to pass their vacations in Hotel Critallo, if they go to Venice.
- Verified traveler (6/5): very convenient location - The room I stayed was clean but could not watch TV, because of the signal problem. Also my husband and I were not happy with breakfast, because he is a vegetarian, and did not mention the hotel when we booked. It might say they serve continental breakfast, that was just bread, cheese and yogurt. Having said that, all staff were very kind.
- thomas (10/5): Extremely friendly staff and very nice stay - Room excellent and hotel facilities fine. Staff at reception extremely friendly and helpfull. Facilitated early breakfast when we had to leave early. Lots of nice restaurants on same street. Much better value and not as packed as Venice in general. 2 Day ticket on Vaperetto allowed us to see Venice Murano and Burano
- Eric (8/5): - Very nice place, a little dated but clean and quiet.
- Donalda (10/5): - Great place to stay. Much better than right in Venice. Would recommend to anyone.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cute Little Stay - Great service, the people at the front desk are great help and very friendly.
- G (8/5): Pleasant quiet hotel near to Vaporetto station - Had a lovely stay in this hotel, very basic but clean. Very convenient for Vaporetto station and the beach. Approx 10 minutes from St Marks. Hotel staff very friendly and informative about places to visit and to eat.
- Jim (10/5): Great hotel, quiet area, near beach - We were very glad we booked Hotel Cristallo. Venice is very crowded and noisy, lots of lines to visit tourist sites, lots of pushing your way through crowds, competing for places on water buses, etc. We were so glad to be able to retreat to the Cristallo on the Lido at the end of the day. The Lido is much quieter, at least after the beach high season. We were able to relax in the quiet, eat in one of the many restaurants near the hotel, and just unwind at the end of a busy sightseeing day in Venice.
- KAREN (8/5): Lido is the way to go! - We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Cristallo. It was very conveniently located from the waterbus dock (just a few blocks straight up the street) with plenty of restaurants and bars in very close walking distance). The hotel staff were extremely friendly and give us many suggestions about affordable dining on the island, explained the water bus system to us and gave us other helpful tips. The room was very large (we actually ended up booking a 3-person room although there were only 2 of us because the hotel was booked up). The breakfast was plenty but not fancy - typical of European hotels. We had absolutely no problems navigating from Lido to the city or to the airport on the waterbus and honestly, the peace and quiet when you got off the water bus late at night after a loud, pushy day in Venice was worth it! I strongly recommend!
- Sophie, (6/5): Convenient stat - Staying on the Lido is one of the cheapest options you have when going to Venice. This hotel is nice and does the job for what you need. It is no more than 5 minutes from the Vaporetto jetties to head to St Mark's, Grand Canal, etc. which takes around 15 minutes. The buffet breakfast is doable but could do with a bit more, maybe some fruit. Staff are friendly enough but not overly sociable. Room was clean and spacious, only minimal complaint being that the TV does not have any English channels.. Italian obviously but had to watch French news on a loop for most of my stay because it was all I could understand.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice for the price.
Breakfast could have been a bit better
- Kavin (8/5): Nice hotel, close to beach, ferry, restaurants,.. - Very warm welcome by the receptionist on arrival, very helpful, guided us on how to go about sightseeing,.., Very easy to go to different places/islands from Lido ferry station. Good breakfast with a selection of croissants, hot drinks, cereals, juices, cold-meats, etc..., enough to keep you going. Room/Bathroom cleaned, linen changed everyday. Spacious family room with Air condition, television, clean bathroom. Friendly staff. Highly recommend anyone travelling to Venice to stay at Hotel Cristallo...
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location, lovely staff - Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Hotel on Main Street on Lido and close to waterbus station and free beach. Walk further or take a bus to take advantage of a beach hut, loungers and deck chairs.
- Andrew (10/5): We love this hotel - We have been to this hotel 3 times and loved each visit. It is very basic, but still perfect.
- Paul (10/5): Highly recommended - Booked 3 quadruple rooms for 11 extended family members for 2 nights.
Hotel was immaculate and the staff were lovely.
We had a late flight back to the UK so for no extra charge they let us keep one of the rooms until 5:00 pm to store our baggage.
Breakfasts were great(we sat under cover outside). Plenty of choice and quantity.
Would happily stay again.
- wendell (8/5): Kids loved it. - Had two rooms. Two adults and five kids. either would have all of us.Baths were good size. Location - excellent. On main street, almost half way between water taxi and beach. Don't forget to ask for access to private beach. Good restrantes all around. Mini fridge kept things cool. I have bad knees, so I used the lift most of the time. Usual breakfast, meats cheese breads yogert, etc. Breakfast area nice. Staff, friendly, helpful spoke English. Overall rooms were large clean and comfortable. Will stay again when in Venice. Almost forgot three days in the nieties. A/C's GREAT.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel close to beach and boat service. - The location of the hotel is excellent, walking minutes from the beach and the ferry dock. The staff is helpful and friendly, breakfast is great. Good hotel to explore the Lido and Venice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): nice hotel in Lido - We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel post-cruise. It is a clean comfortable hotel on the main commercial street in Lido a 5 mins walk to the vaporetto station. From cruise terminal we took the Alilaguna directly to Lido and from Lido thete is also Alilaguna to the airport. Owner and staff are very nice. Good continental breakfast. Wifi very strong and there is a safe in the room. The beach is also not far away. Hotel has a private cabin on the beach which they give out to guests with a mininum number of nights. Overall a nice stay...can't think of anything negative.
- Nicky (10/5): Great little hotel, central location - We have just stayed in the hotel Cristallo on a 2 night break to Venice. It is a great little hotel in a perfect location for all Lido has to offer- a short walk takes you to the beaches, or to the water transport services in the opposite direction. To the main island of Venice, the ideal stop is San Zaccaria, which is approx 10min via water bus. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the room we stayed in was spacious with a good ensuite, very clean throughout.
- Mags (6/5): Basic hotel but handy for everything - I knew the hotel was basic but as I booked at last minute I did not have a great choice and it was very central for everything so that was why I chose it. Although basic the room was bright, airy, roomy and clean and the staff were very nice. There is no bar or lounge area but when you come out the hotel you are right on the main street with everything you need on your doorstep.
- danielle (10/5): Great hotel - Very beautiful, has a large and delicious breakfast, short 5 min walk to the ocean and lots and lots of delious restaurants near by! Lido is a very nice alternative to staying right in venice, it's close and very comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly & Convenient Hotel (April/May - Venice) - We had a very friendly welcome at the hotel. The owner supplied us with a map & gave us lots of info about the area, travel & good restaurants nearby. He speaks good English, French, German & Spanish! We bought 7 day passes for the waterbuses & for the museums/churches etc at the Lido harbour the evening we arrived. Leave your travel ticket in a pocket in your bag & zap it at the white reader before you go through the barrier to the boat. It works & you're less likely to lose your ticket! We used the 7 day waterbus pass to go Venice everyday, have a sit down on a boat if we were tired & travel to the cemetry island, Burano & Murano. Very convenient! We went up the campanile in St Mark's at around 10am (week day) & only queued for 10mins. (8€) Fabulous views on a sunny day! But don't get caught up there when the bells chime - they are very big & loud! We came down in the lift before 11am & saved our ears! We then only queued for 10mins to get into the cathedral. We waited for the extra lights to be put on (11.30-12.30) & it was definitely worth it! There's lots to see in Venice & the surrounding islands. One week is a nice amount of time to explore. Venice is always full of people but if you have a week you don't have to rush everywhere & if a waterbus is crowded you can just get on the next one - they are very frequent. Don't be afraid of what you'll find in a public toilet. 1.50€ isn't cheap but we found them clean & well kept + the attendant will give change for the barrier
- Sean (10/5): Great value! - Great location, great price, close to the ferry to get wherever you need to go.
- Hiu Yin (8/5): Everything is fine if you find a budget hotel - The room as well as the bathroom are quite big. The wi-fi is fine and the breakfast is basic. The host is quite nice and he left the key and wi-fi password for us as we checked in late. But the boat is quite slow , it took us nearly an hour to get to the train station.
- Alice (4/5): This is the worst hotel we have stayed overall - There was no wifi provided in this hotel. The wifi signal for this hotel showed on our device was very strong. But the hotel staff said there was no any wifi when every one asked for user name and password. It was free wifi when we made the booking.
There was no hotel staff on duty even the guest ring the bell from 9pm to 7:30am. Gusts passport copy loose any where in their desk and no one in that area whole night. Any copy could be reach without security camera and door locked.
They have a door code for gust to enter the hotel. But you will unable to get in if you forget you code because no one will answer it even if the staff is right in front of the door. The bathroom is really small and cramped the shower door was so broken it slid out of its placement and into the shower. It was so small that you could not turn around in the shower or the shower room and inside the shower was also dirty. The room floor was really dirty and it made you not want to step onto it. One of the chairs was so dirty it looked like it was molding and was 10000 years old.
- Peter (10/5): Nice hotel, good price - It was a very nice hotel, especially for the price we paid. Breakfast was simple, but fine. Room was very clean, and staff was friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Hotel, nncredible value. - We were greeted by Andrea, a multi lingual gentlemen who made us feel at ease by speaking to us in a perfect French and English. We got room 32 which is lovely with its two windows and air circulation. The downside was that none of the windows had screens and it quickly became a mosquito party. Lido is very quiet and the bed was comfortable which made for great nights of sleep. The room was impeccably clean, as was the large bathroom. So much so that I felt at ease taking a bath in that deep tub. The key system leaves to be desired. When you leave the hotel you need to leave the key with reception, which means that if no one is there to great you, you can be waiting for a little while. The longest we had to wait was 5 minutes though, so that is not too bad. Breakfast was simple but quite good, although you may want to skip the coffee from the automatic machine and get one at a nearby cafe instead.
All in all, a lovely stay!
- Jeff (8/5): No better for the price. - Great hotel for the price. Very satisfied with the clean room, service and breakfast. Extremely satisfied with the price. 2 blocks from the water taxi. If you are looking for fancy this might not be the place for you but otherwise great value!
- Jenny (8/5): Comfortable and affordable stay at Hotel Cristello - I had a nice time at this hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was fine and very clean and the breakfast was good.Free wifi reception was excellent. I had been a bit concerned that the Lido location might have been a bit remote from Venice itself but the vaporetti water bus was frequent and easy and took me where ever I wanted. I bought a 48 hour Venice card which gave me easy access to public transport including the railway station and the airport. I even felt comfortable going out at night on my own because the hotel was only a few minutes to the jetty and it was safe, well lit and lots of people around.
I would definitely stay there again.
- Franchesca (10/5): Franchesca in Italia - Overall had a lovely stay here. Nicely welcomed by owner of hotel. Great restauraunts around and shops. Need get the water bus into town a 72hr ticket costs up to €48 including your bus to and from the airport. Great experience going all around by water. Room airconditioned, hotel tidy, Nice Italian breakfast served up to 10am.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Avoid the crowds - Parked at longterm parking at the airport and took the ferry to Lido. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Vaporetto/ferry docks. It turned out to be an excellent location for a visit to Venice and easier on the budget. Good breakfast, friendly staff. Small shower stall and the a/c was off for the season so we had to leave the windows open and let in the mosquitos.
- laurs234 (10/5): Good location and friendly staff - We stayed here for a long weekend and were really pleased. The hotel is easy to find, just a couple of minutes walk in a straight line from the water bus stop on the lido. The main areas of Venice are only around 10 mins on the water bus and they run very frequently.
The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were lovely, really friendly and very helpful. They spoke good English too which was very useful. Breakfast was basic but nice. Several choices and plenty of food. Bathroom was nice and clean, plenty of hot water.
The lido itself is a really nice area so worth spending some time looking around. We also found the restaurants on the lido to be significantly cheaper than the main island and the food was just as good so well worth eating over there.
Overall we were really pleased with the hotel and absolutely loved Venice.
