I was thoroughly impressed by how spotless and clean everything was throughout my entire stay. Best of all, the staff is super kind and went completely out of their way to make me feel welcome. • Magda1987 (10/5): - The location could not be better! A 2 minute walk from Ponte Vecchio, 5 minutes to the Uffizi Gallery, 10 minutes maximum to the Duomo! The staff are wonderful and treat everyone like family. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are basic but sparkling clean and functional, same with the bathrooms. Bear in mind, this would not be suitable for people with mobility issues as there are stairs up to the tiny lift. Not a negative, people just need to be aware. Literally nothing.

• thomas (9/5): Nice hotel in the middle of where you want to be, confortable. - Location Location. It's as close as you can get, and it is off a main pedestrian lane. View of the Arno River. Helpful staff, clean . you have to be able to walk up a set of stairs, to access a narrow elevator, but that is common in older buildings. It would be more of a challenge if you can't walk, climb or go down stairs i.e. not for invalids. But for the rest of us, no issue. Elevator only accommodates 2 persons.

From the wonderful location to the helpful, friendly staff to the delicious breakfasts, we would highly recommend the hotel. A larger sign would be helpful, especially because the numbers don’t seem to be consistent on either side of the street. We missed the entrance, not just once, but twice. 😊

Room 27 was a suite of huge rooms. There is a view of the Arno from each room and the terrace. It was very quiet. Location was the perfect spot to access attractions on both sides of the river.

The location was excellent. We found the beds a little firmer than we like but was ok. There was 2 flights of stairs to get to the elevator and then when we got to the lobby, our room was one flight down. So lots of lugging suitcases.

Pečivo se měnilo, na druhou stranu zelenina nebyla za 4 dny vůbec žádná.

The room was also quite basic and missing some standard amenities, such as a kettle. Considering the price, it feels quite overrated.

• sookeod (10/5): Hotel with great service and personality! - Charming hotel and specially charming staff. Monti is wonderful! No electronic keys here! Clean room and very clean bathroom. Comfortable bed, quiet and perfect location. Breakfast was very good and again very attentive service. There is an elevator but after a few stairs. We would definitely come back!

Bathroom recently upgraded and modern. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Recommended parking available a few blocks away for extra fee. Had to carry luggage up a flight of stairs to reach the elevator.

However, breakfast was not included in the stay. Minor maintenance is required for bathroom drainage system.
• Rakhsha (8/5): - Location was great! There was nobody to help me with the suitcase specially the first floor does not have an elevator, so you have to drag your suitcase all the way up to the second floor, heads up elevator is so small barely you can fit in the elevator with your suitcase.

• BobfinNH (10/5): Location is superb! - Location is really unmatched, a block from the Arno and Ponte Vecchio and steps to the Uffizi or Boboli Gardens. Our room was very large with a big windows to allow in the light. Breakfasts offered plenty of choices, which was a welcome way to start the day and the bathrooms by Italy standards, at least in our room, offered a full tub for showers rather than a small stall. Our one issue was the mattress, which was very hard by any standard, but with everything else meeting or exceeding expectations I have to give this property a 5!

• Stacey (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others - The location was perfect, everything was within walking distance. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Also enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the evening.

• DCB18K (8/5): Charming, basic, budget friendly, terrific staff - Down a side street between the Arno and the piazza is a small hotel. The only markings is a small plaque next to the heavy wooden door. When you open it you come face to face with a long flight of old stairs. Lug your bags up about 30 stairs and you find a rickety old elevator. Take that up another floor and you open up to a small old lobby with a sitting room adjacent. The staff greets you warmly and laughs about the stairs. This is old Florence. The basic room was spacious but spartan furnished with 2 twins pushed together, an old armoire, several antique dressers and a small bathroom. Everything was charming but old. Breakfast was very tasty and the staff incredibly friendly. He tried to teach me basic italian and recommendedd restaurants. A great place if you are looking for budget friendly and pack light.
