• Nicolas (9/5): tout c'est extrêmement bien passé et l'hotel est tres bien - l'emplacement à 3 minutes a pieds de la place saint marc était parfait, la chambre était très confortable , très propre tout comme la salle de bain , de plus le personnel était extrêmement sympathique particulièrement l'homme qui nous a accueilli et nous a parlé français l'épaisseur des fenêtres , nous étions au premier étages et c'était un peu bruyant la nuit.

The air con did not work although the weather was cool so we could open the windows and we could only get 1 channel on the TV.

The breakfast was excellent. - The location of the property was excellent, right beside St Marks Square and also the Vaporetto stop. Staff and owner were very welcoming and helpful. Really lovely breakfast on the 3rd floor and the lady who served it was so nice. The room was very traditional and beautiful and the bed was extremely comfortable. My husband had difficulty with the stairs so they organised a full tray to be brought to our room for him which was above and beyond. Loved everything, however it was my birthday on the 2nd day we were there so even a wee handwritten card at breakfast would have been a nice touch.

• Weston (8/5): A person getaway in Venice we stayed two nights thoroughly. Enjoyed the location. - Centrally located and well maintained. Unbeatable for the price and location. It actually rained one evening and we woke up to leaks in the bathroom as they were apparently renovating the roof. We met the owner that every day and everything was cleaned up by the time we returned back to the room with the more leak. Would highly recommend we will be returning. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side but well appointed for the basic needs. No laundry available

Right next to a small square with good restaurant, pizzeria, pastry shop etc. Yet very tranquil, hidden in narrow street. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy bed, good breakfast. Good value for money. Sometimes an unpleasant smell in the top floor room. Possibly from a ventilation shaft in the corridor or bathroom.

Y mil gracias por todos los detalles que han tenido con nosotros,hace que un hotel de 4 estrellas se convierta para nosotros en uno de 5!! Me gusto todo!!!

• Robert (10/5): - Wyjątkowe miejsce, które bardzo polecamy i do którego na pewno wrócimy :). Czysty piękny pokój w stylu weneckim z ładnym widokiem. Bardzo miła obsługa i przesympatyczny pomocny Pan (właściciel hotelu), dostaliśmy mapkę i polecono nam najlepsze miejsca do zjedzenia w okolicy. Codziennie jest dokładnie sprzątany pokój, dobre śniadania i miła Pani obsługująca. W pokoju jest klimatyzacja. Lokalizacja jest dużym plusem, wszędzie jest bardzo blisko i na tramwaj wodny i na plan Świętego Marka, cała okolica hotelu jest świetna. Jeśli się jeszcze zastanawiasz czy warto to naprawdę jesteśmy zadowoleni z całego pobytu w hotelu i w porównaniu do wielu przeglądanych ofert to trafiła się perełka.

Marco made our short visit to Venice very comfortable, and the breakfast was superb. There are so many good restaurants just around the corner that choosing one for dinner was quite simple. Even in January Venice is magical. Nothing bad to say at all.

• SILFES (9/5): Classic Venetian-style hotel with great location near attractions, friendly staff, many nearby shops - Locanda Al Leon has an excellent location in Venice, very close to the canal arrival point and just a short walking distance away. From here, it’s easy to access all the main tourist attractions on foot. There are many restaurants and souvenir shops around the hotel, which makes the stay very convenient for shopping and dining. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and they assisted us smoothly with the check-in process. The hotel has a classic Venetian style with antique-finish furniture, which we really liked and felt added a unique charm to the stay. The bathroom was quite small, but it was manageable and acceptable for a short-term stay. Overall, a great choice for travelers who want a well-located, traditional-style hotel surrounded by shops and attractions. bathroom quiet small.

• Paola (10/5): Ottima soluzione centrale e accogliente - Posizione centralissima, camera piccola ma accogliente, ben arredata e molto pulita. Staff molto gentile e disponibile. Si sentono parecchio i rumori provenienti dalla strada e dalle altre stanze.

El personal que nos atendió en recepción lo hizo de manera impecable, atenta y amable. Es la segunda vez que vamos y sin duda repetiremos Creo que nada....todo lo que puedo decir es bueno

Das Zimmer ist wunderbar herzig im venezianischen Stil ausgestattet. Die Lage ist hervorragend - alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Preis-Leistung wirklich sehr gut und sehr zu empfehlen. Der Frühstücksraum ist mir zu klein und zu eng, weshalb ich es dann vorgezogen habe, in einem Café frühstücken zu gehen. In der Nacht kann man die Menschen von den Restaurants draussen hören, aber es ist absolut im Rahmen, ausserdem ist man in einer Stadt.
• Gautam (8/5): - Excellent location near the canal and water taxi stops and very close to St Marks square. Just be prepared for small rooms and small breakfast room. I think this is the case for most hotels in the area. We found the room to be a little stuffy as the a/c didn’t work at that time of year (Oct) so we had to open the window which meant we heard all the noise from the square below through the night.
• PilGu (10/5): My family trip was excellerated by Locanda Al Leon - Location is close to the San Marco Square and delicious restaurants area. Above all, it located to next to famous local bakery. Clean and hot waters are plenty at the shower as well as their room clean is perfect. Hard to find.
• SFBW (9/5): Locanda Al Leon provided us w/ the perfect home base to enjoy Venice from. Many thanks to the staff - Locanda Al Leon is a wonderful, charming, comfortable place to stay in Venice that we enjoyed very much during our 3-night stay in September. [It is also one of the accommodations recommended by Rick Steves]. While it's very conveniently located close to St. Mark's Square and only a 4-minute walk from the San Marco-San Zaccaria Vaporetto stop, it's also quiet and nicely located just off the delightful plaza Campo Santi Filippo e Giacomo that has some good restaurants, bars and bakeries. [We especially enjoyed Ristorante Pizzeria Pesciolino D'oro just around the corner as well as the bakery Pasticceria Bonifacio.] The staff is wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Our "room" was the entire, very spacious top floor of the nearby Ca Marcella annex and included a good-sized, beautiful bedroom, nice modern bathroom, living room w/ sofa, full kitchen and TWO private balconies, each with a table & chairs (& one had a view St. Mark's Basilica rooftop)! The balconies were a perfect place to enjoy a late-night glass of wine under the stars w/ a peaceful view of the Venetian rooftops. A nice, very adequate continental breakfast was available each morning on the top floor of the main hotel building and was a much-appreciated amenity. For us, Locanda Al Leon was a fantastic find for our stay in Venice and we would definitely stay again! Like most accommodations in Venice, Locanda Al Leon doesn't have an elevator and most rooms are accessible only by a flight or two (or three!!) of stairs. Carrying your luggage up can be a challenge but thankfully the hotel's staff is very kind and helpful in assisting. Provided you able, the stairs were a small price to pay for such wonderful accommodations!

Ottimo servizio post check-out che permette di lasciare i bagagli qualche ora in più e di poter utilizzare una toilette dopo aver già lasciato la camera. Ottima posizione a ridosso di San Marco e ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Buona colazione in ambiente accogliente. Lo raccomando di certo.

• Kirk (9/5): Overall clean, friendly, and extremely well located. - I was a little nervous about booking a room at this hotel, but it was great in the end. I couldn't even find it initially as it is very unassuming. The location was really fantastic though, and it had everything I was looking for-clean, comfortable, well located. I have a couple nitpicks... I didn't see any way to mark the room "do not enter" so a cleaning person did try to come in (after knocking and calling out, in fairness). The desk is open 8am to 9pm which could be a problem if you need to leave early or have a problem late. Wasn't an issue for me though. I thought it was drafty the first night but soon realized I hadn't closed the door to the balcony.
