- Mark (9/5): Perfect location with friendly staff - perfect for rail users into Paddington - Perfect location when travelling to London into Paddington station, short walk from the station. Excellent customer service, quirky building with basic but comfortable rooms that were cosy and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble during our stay. Nothing

- Ann (8/5): Great value for money - Superb location to Paddington train and tube station. Lovely places to eat nearby. Felt very safe. Comfy beds, excellent breakfast menu. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small . Will definitely return. Perfect if your a solo traveller x Nothing

- Isabelle (8/5): - Very cool, stylish old building located a few steps from Paddington station - very easy to get to from Heathrow. Bathroom was lovely, water pressure was incredible! Mattress was quite firm but comfortable. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. No hair dryer or face cloths in bathroom.
- Patricia (7/5): - La cercanía a Paddington Station
- eusberg (2/5): Worst night ever but lovely breakfast! - Among my 3 worst hotel nights ever! We arrived late, the room was small (which was expected). We did not think of turning on the heat (big mistake) so we were freezing AND THE NOISE from the pubs across kept us awake AND at 6:00 am there were some construction going on. It was so LOUD that we actually laughed out loud. OMG - I have not slept this bad in years.
It’s probably super nice if you get a quiet room, and the shower was nice and the breakfast lounge was LOVELY.
- ClareK174 (6/5): Review before Travel - Building work happening during my stay - extremely noisy. I was not informed of this until I arrived. Also there was no coffee offered in hotel in the evening (Tues) so you had to make your own on the general floor which was a complicated process. However, the staff were lovely and really helpful. The breakfast was excellent. Good place to stay for one night prior to flight etc…

- CeruleanSun (10/5): Highly recommended for breakfast - A cosy and quirky place, who were kind enough to accommodate two of us as a walk-in for breakfast (there are rooms here that I did not realise until we arrived). The coffee is delicious, it's strong but not overly so, perfect for the morning to wake you up. We were told a 30-40 minute wait time for food, which we were fine with as we had 3hrs to kill overall, yet it showed up in about 15 minutes which was a pleasant surprise. They made two simple ingredients of eggs and avocado taste fresh and exciting, with the tabg of parmesan on top which was an excellent addition. I will absolutely be doing that at home now.
The orange juice I ordered after breakfast seemed freshly squeezed with the bits in which is always welcome.
The decor is what makes this place feel quirky; lots of art and black and white photos on display and a large wooden staircase sweeping up on entry. I would highly recommended!
- alexandra (10/5): Excellent. Would come back - Immaculate
- Mark (10/5): Stunning hotel. Retro and modern at the same time. You won’t regret this. - Stunning location, brilliantly decorated. Really awesome. Rooms are tight, but that’s the reality of Paddington.

- Juliana (4/5): Great location, clean - noisy sleepless nights, too many stairs, and hugely lacking customer service! - Great location being across the street from Paddington Station. Clean room. Bathroom amenities worked well - great water pressure and very hot water! Terrible customer service from start to finish. There’s no traditional check in desk, it’s just someone sitting in the coffee shop with a laptop. If you’re not aware of this it can be confusing. Many may steps to get your luggage to and from your room. My husband and I are both in our twenties and fit and we struggled to get all of our luggage to and from our room due to all the steps. In addition, the elevator worked only 50% of our stay. And once you go up the elevator, you still have to carry your bags up stairs. Also DO NOT plan on sleeping unless you bring eat plugs. Our room faced the street. We were kept awake nightly by noise from the rowdy club below and the routine 3AM dumpster pickup across the street. The bed is OK, but with all the noise every night, it was almost impossible to sleep. Seriously consider this before booking here!
- Paul (7/5): Very convenient. All in all entirely satisfactory. - Very convenient location. Clean room. Very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. The lift was inoperative. Some of the furnishings were tired. The bed was a little hard.

- Elīza (8/5): - Room was tiny, but cute. Breakfast was amazing. Super easy to reach the property. We changed rooms since the first one was in the basement with no proper window. The noise from the street is quite loud.
- Miguel (9/5): Zeer gezellig boutique hotel met super locatie! - Top locatie.

- Jan (6/5): A nice place spoiled by a mishap and an overpriced room rate - Visited it for the third time, good location for those who'd like to shoot quickly from Paddington elsewhere, especially to LHR. Great breakfast room and friendly staff. In just a month the same room price arose for an extra 100 quid, didn't like it. Also you do not expect situation where you have no hot water and no water at all in the shower. There was only a cold water in the tap/sink. Aware this might be a random emergency, but the hotel did nothing over night, nothing on the price, without to mention manager absence. Staff there were doing their best to support guests and were facing a lot of upset guests (sorry for them), both front desk and the breakfast room, but fact is a fact. Also I paid for three rooms, received my invoice for one room only, requested two other rooms invoices - still did not receive docs.
- Ruth (9/5): - Location was excellent . Close proximity to Paddington which meant we could leave our bags safely on each of the 2 days of our visit. Breakfast was superb.
- Eric (10/5): -
- Ekrem (8/5): - Location Nothing
- Tour27627277010 (4/5): Oh the noise, noise, NOISE ! - *** CAUTION *** If you book a room in this hotel, please avoid any rooms that face London street. My wife and I had a room facing London St for two nights and were kept awake by a pub across the street, and loud sirens (due to The Pilgrm's location near St Mary's Hospital). Such a disappointing stay.
- F7896BUnataliec (10/5): A stylish independent gem with outstanding service - The Pilgrm is everything you want from a boutique London hotel. The location next to Paddington makes arriving effortless, yet the atmosphere inside feels calm and intimate.
What really stood out was the team, genuinely friendly, attentive and proactive. From the arrival to breakfast, the service felt personal rather than transactional. Small touches throughout the stay made a big difference.
Myroom was beautifully designed, spotless and cleverly laid out. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept very well. The breakfast and coffee are a real highlight, the quality and presentation rival much larger hotels.
It feels like a thoughtfully run independent hotel that genuinely cares about guest experience. I would not hesitate to return.

- Carla (10/5): Perfect vibe place in Londen - The vibe of the hotel is so pretty!
- Marte (9/5): -
- Antonios (9/5): Excellent - Great location, beautiful building, good food, service and staff
- Yunshan (8/5): All in all a pleasant stay - Good location, great breakfast Even though there was a lift, our wing was not accessible without walking stairs
- Nora (10/5): Tulisin uudestaan milloin tahansa!
- Barbara (10/5): -
- Delaney (8/5): -
- karen (8/5): Loved the vibe and staff!! - Amazing chef treat yourself! If you are sensitive to noise ask for a room away from the front corner over Norfolk Square. It gets very noisy at night
- Lucy (8/5): -
- Lucia (9/5): -
- Craig (5/5): - Location, hotel bar and food, ambience Sadly the room was far too small given the costs and equivalent properties in the area, I had already stayed at the Columbia for 4 days before arriving at the Pilgrim and with the Columbia was substantially cheaper, breakfast included with nice large room.
The main issue was the size of the bed v the size of the room, I'm off small stature and i had to walk sideways along the bed to get into the bathroom. The bathroom itself was nicely done but barely enough room to move and the door did not close properly. I appreciated the comfy doubly bed but as these rooms are recommended for only 1 traveler a large single bed would suffice making the room feel not as claustrophobic.
- Jake (10/5): -
- Voyager423080 (10/5): Lovely - Nice place to visit in London. Pleasant area
- Viola (7/5): -
- Iain (6/5): Great location but book a bigger room! - The location was excellent and the staff were very polite. The room size “cozy” was a bit extreme as there was no room to move around in the room. When I stood up I was touching the walls and there was no phone in the room. Getting to the room was also difficult as you had to go up and dow stairs and even crossing over bridges.
- Ingþór (8/5): -
- Brian (9/5): Very good value for this area. Will definitely stay again in future - Location, good value for money, friendly staff Size and height of tables for breakfast
- Allison (10/5): -
- Helene (5/5): -
- Jan (7/5): Friendly hotel handy for Paddington - So handy for Paddington Lack of signage to find your room as it’s a maze
- Frederic (9/5): -
- Nicola (10/5): - The range of breakfast options was great. The decor is lovely and the hotel is very comfortable, clean and stylish.
- richard (10/5): Fantastic hotel we will be back ! - Amazing location ! Staff very welcoming and nothing is an issue. Liked the decor and vibe, fantastic coffee shop.
- Arnaud (10/5): - Location cannot be better when coming from Paddington. The personal at the check-in and particularly during breakfast were very friendly and competant. Very small room but this is London.
- Anyck (8/5): -
- clarew692 (10/5): My home from home - my Pilgrm - The Pilgrm is my second home, as I stay in London once a month. I’ve tried lots of other places and always return here because: it’s quirky, interesting, stylish, clean, and retains all the building’s history. Most of all, I feel safe, looked after, comforted. The staff are so welcoming and always remember me. The beds are fabulously comfortable. The blue of the carpets, the richness of the woodwork throughout – I could write a prose poem about my favourite hotel. The building has captured something about my London childhood.
The breakfasts! Pilgrm breakfasts deserve a review of their own – they truly are the jewel in The Pilgrm’s crown. I’ve never had such great, efficient attention in a café, and it never changes. The lovely blonde lady runs the lounge with military precision and is always so welcoming. The quality of the food is first class. The staff in the kitchen are great, and you can see them working from the lounge. The staff who bring up the coffee from downstairs are also attentive and friendly, and the coffee is the best. I’ve tried most things on the menu, and have my favourites.
Other people have mentioned noise, and this would normally be a deal-breaker for me, but the Pilgrm is so perfect in every other way that I’ve developed workarounds. I use earplugs attached to a YouTube video of ambient background noise of various types (rain, often), which drowns everything out and lulls me back to sleep. I don’t always need it; some rooms are quiet. And this links in to the complaints of other guests about lack of air conditioning – the fans they provide in summer make that ambient background noise that drowns out anything from the street! So I stay at The Pilgrm happily winter and summer alike.
I agree with the reviewer who mentioned the design of the sinks. The Pilgrm’s bathrooms are beautiful, and cleaned to a standard that you could easily imagine the whole suite had been fitted yesterday. But the sinks have the splashiest of natures, and the tap is positioned so that you can’t get your head in while doing your teeth. I’d love it if they had a global sink refit to a more sensible design, but it’s a small fault.
Another word of agreement about the staff throughout – they are fabulous, a credit to the hotel.
- Navigate41554497844 (10/5): Excellent Service and Fantastic Atmosphere at The Pilgrim - I recently visited and was really impressed by the overall vibe of this pub. The staff were welcoming from the moment I walked in, and the facilities were notably clean and well-maintained. It has a great, comfortable atmosphere that makes it a perfect spot to settle in for a while. This is definitely going to be my new go-to in the area—highly recommended!

- Rashed (8/5): Cute, comfortable and cosy stay. - In general, this place is really nice. Everything is high quality and comfortable. The bathroom was the highlight, mainly the shower which was an essential in such a trip. The amenities downstairs, were also great to work in the early am before starting your day. The room was too small given that myself and my partner had one suitcase each. We had to put down most in storage in order to be able to walk around and fit inside the room. I guess this is London though. A little expensive given the size of the room maybe.
- Sara (10/5): We loved staying here and hope to stay again in the future. - The location was so close to all transit options, great restaurants, and walkable to a lot of the touristy sites. We loved that it was not a cookie cutter chain hotel and that it had so much personality. n/a
- Rebecca (6/5): Style over substance - Room was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable, the rooms/facilities as a whole were really stylish, very good location, and my breakfast was exceptional. Not so much the size of the room but the fact that there was absolutely no storage - nowhere to put my suitcase, not really anywhere to put things in the bathroom. I don’t need things like magazines and speakers in my room - I want to be able to unpack a little and relax but just wasn’t an option, and wouldn’t have been able to spend time in the room. I stayed as a solo traveller but it would have been impossible for two.
Noise at night was really bad, single glazing at the front on a busy street - bed was comfy but I didn’t have a very good sleep at all
- Lia (10/5): Perfect - Proximity to train, well adorned, clean and cafe for both breakfast and nightcap. I wish the rooms were a wee bit bigger but it’s our second stay so not a game changer.

- justinemF4585XP (10/5): Pilgrm - especially good for short stays - Pilgrm hotel, Paddington just ticks all the boxes. It’s across the road from Paddington train station, so really easy to catch any of the various trains which head to the airports - or anywhere else in the UK. Excellent range of restaurants and cafes right outside, not to mention take-aways and fast food options inside the train station – and a grocers!! Rooms can be cosy, but totally functional – clean comfortable beds, excellent bathrooms, great views of the city sky line, and a total bargain for the price. Check-in staff are cheerful, informative and clearly love their job. They are the ones who give Pilgrm its great vibe. Free fresh water was a luxury on the hot summer days too. The guest lounge and dining room is awesome, great way to meet other travellers.
- Amanda (8/5): Love this quirky little gem - Fantastic location, close to Paddington Station
Staff are always friendly and very helpful. Love the chilled vibe here. Breakfast is recommended, quality chef. Beds are super comfy. Navigating the upper floors can get confusing!
