Jean-Luc (10/5): Parfait !!! - Nous avons adoré la situation géographique dans Venise, parfaite, la qualité de l’accueil, la gentillesse du personnel, les services attentifs ; bref, si nous retournons à Venise, ce sera dans cet hôtel !!! Étant étendu sur 3 blocs conjoints, il est nécessaire de monter et redescendre pour atteindre le restaurant ou le salon de lecture. Il est possible de passer par l’extérieur, mais, comme il a beaucoup plut, ce n’était pas très pratique. Ceci dit, ce n’est rien par rapport à la qualité générale de l’établissement.

sotaro (10/5): 小さいながらも全てが凝縮されたホテル - サンマルコ広場の近く、ブランド店の並びがすぐあり、ゴンドラも目の前。アクセスが最高、人通りはやや多いが全く騒がしいと思わなかった。他の超高級五つ星と比較してやや安価でありつつ、最高級のブティックだと思う。決して天気に恵まれたわけではなかったが、アクセスが良いため雨が止んだタイミングでゴンドラや散歩を楽しむことができた。matteoが紹介してくれたレストランがコストパフォーマンス含めイタリアで訪れた中で最も素晴らしいレストランだった。ミニバーのドリンクがサービスではなかったこと。水とコーヒーは飲めばすぐに補充されるが、ソフトドリンクもサービスであれば最高だった。朝食は味、サービスともに素晴らしいが、ワンパターンで飽きてしまった。
Rachel (10/5): Perfekter Kurzaufenthalt - Das Zimmer war geräumig und das Personal sehr zuvorkommend. Das Hotel lag sehr zentral, weshalb wir alles in kurzer Zeit zu Fuss erreichen konnten. Direkt vor dem Hotel war eine Möglichkeit eine Gondoliere zu mieten, auch zur Station für die Vaporetto war es nicht weit. Das Frühstück wurde frisch zubereitet und konnte am Tisch bestellt werden, zudem gab es ein kleines Buffet mit einigen Köstlichkeiten.

Paulina (10/5): One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time, with outstanding service and beautiful attention to detail. - The experience at this hotel was amazing. I travel often and usually stay at very well rated hotels, and I can honestly say this one really stood out. Everything was spotless, the staff were incredibly attentive, and the decoration and overall atmosphere were beautiful. I loved the small thoughtful details, like the evening turndown touches and receiving the weather forecast for the next day. I felt extremely well taken care of from beginning to end and the service truly felt five star. A big congratulations to the entire team for such a special property. Very little, to be honest. The only small suggestion would be the option of a slightly softer mattress topper for guests who prefer that, as the pillows were already great. Other than that, nothing to complain about.

Conrado (7/5): Great facility but very poor Costumer Service Manager. - Very clean and modern The staff were very kind and welcoming at check-in, showing genuine care and attention to us as guests. However, we unfortunately experienced an unpleasant situation regarding a walking tour. The hotel confirmed the service before we had been informed of the conditions, and when we later decided not to proceed, they insisted on charging the full amount. The matter was handled by the manager in a way that did not reflect the level of professionalism and service one would expect from a hotel in this price category. It was disappointing, as the property itself and most of the staff are truly lovely.

The staff were very helpful, always cordial and professional. They went out of their way to help our stay be extra special. Their recommendations on local attractions and restaurants were exactly what we were looking for. Our room was very comfortable with top of the line products and great quality linens and towels. The only recommendation for this time of the year would be to provide an area fan or even better a ceiling fan to make air circulation more comfortable during these seasonal transition days. The included breakfast was very good. We had one dinner which we considered a bit expensive. Overall a great boutique hotel in an excellent location to experience Venice that we would highly recommend.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with highly appointed rooms everywhere and the most gorgeous attention to detail and decorations. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, particularly Lucio and Giada. The food served at breakfast and dinner was superb. The location was also very convenient, just off the square so it's close but not as crowded.

Curiosity823052 (10/5): Stellar hotel with amazing staff in an enchanting city! - Our experience at the Violino d'Oro was magical. Anabella and her staff are warm, knowledgeable, and attentive. Our room was light-filled and spotless. The room itself was lovely and featured elements by local artisans in an elegant and welcoming environment. We dined in our room, in the Piccolo Bar area, and in the Piccolo restaurant and each experience topped the other. From the breakfast "cornetti" to the hotel Negroni to the exquisite courses at the Piccolo restaurant, we ate in style throughout our stay. Finally, the location is hard to beat. It is in a charming courtyard that is just a five minute stroll to Piazza San Marco. We can hardly wait to return to the Violino d'Oro!

demarte (10/5): In a beautiful city, full of beautiful hotels . . . - In a beautiful city full of beautiful hotels - Violino D'Oro Venezia stands out head & shoulders above the others. What makes a city such as Venice amazing? The people. What makes a hotel in a city with some of the nicest hotels in the world exceptional? The staff. Their warmth, sincerity, attention to detail, gift of anticipation, discretion, memory, the details, all of the little things that separate them from the rest. They are not in the hotel business. They are in the hospitality business. Fully understanding what we liked and wanted to do, see, and eat - every recommendation was spot on. Knowing we had limited time, some of our inquiries were met with an emphatic, "This is a must!" or a very discreet, "You are not missing anything." I had delayed luggage, a lost wallet, it rained, this and that - boo hoo! My visit to Venice was so beautiful we did not want to leave. The Violino D'oro made it a memory I will always cherish and cannot wait to revisit. I would be remiss if I did not mention some of the staff. Forgive me if I forgot your name or worse, I misspell it. From the top: Annabella. A professional six ways to Sunday. Shawnee (due doppi espressi il prima possible), Alex, Tudor, Giada, Andrea (best haircut place ever), and last but certainly not least, Mateo. Location? Perfect Food? Delicious Rooms? Miller002 (10/5): Fabulous hotel in every way - We spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel last week, and for us it ticked all the boxes. Perfect location just 5 minutes stroll from St Marks Square, a small, luxurious & beautifully furnished & decorated 5* boutique hotel with incredibly friendly & helpful staff. We had a junior suite overlooking a peaceful square at the back, a lovely spacious room filled with natural light, extremely comfortable bed & great shower. Furnishings are a mix of traditional & modern, fabulous art & a light touch without too much gold & brocade. We only ate breakfast at the hotel which was excellent with fruit, pastries & hot food to choose from, all beautifully presented. We couldn’t recommend it highly enough & can’t wait to go back.

It was all about an exceptional service, beautiful art and room details and made us feel VERY comforatble during our stay. This place is a 5 star hotel place for many different reasons. The location of the hotel is 1A too. Breakfast was exceptional. The room was beautiful, clean and VERY comfortable. We will recommend the hotel to family and to our best friends. Walking distance to the San Marco place and 15 minutes to the rialto bridge. A lot of nice restaurants and bars close to the hotel. Breakfast very nice. Staff very friendly. Communication per email efficient. We come again!

adamfG7120OV (8/5): Lovely Hotel with quirks - We stayed for four nights over New Years 2024. We stayed in both a Deluxe Rio Moise and Deluxe Rio room. The hotel is a charming combination of several old buildings (like a smaller version of the more well-known Pulitzer Hotel in Amsterdam). It is stylishly but a bit quirkily decorated (meant as a compliment, it doesn’t feel like a standard bland luxury hotel). It has recently opened so everything felt very fresh. Location is very central (a plus for getting to sights, a negative for crowds). The service was excellent and very warm -- housekeeping and front desk staff in particular went above and beyond (a special thanks to Giada). The concierge, however, was pretty much unresponsive via email before our visit (we did not ask for any help once onsite). The restaurant was very good for breakfast but less impressive for dinner. The rooms are smallish (for the price) and most have little to no view/light (not unusual for Venice). The first room we were given (Deluxe Rio Moise category) was long and narrow with only maybe a foot and a half between the bed and the wall (and the TV was on that wall reducing the effective space). The bathroom was on one side of the bed and the door/sitting area on the other, so it was very awkward (see pic) for two of us. We chose to downgrade room category (that’s all that was available) to get a square-ish room which had much better feng shui. My advice would be to closely note the square feet/meters when booking and reserve a larger room if you need it and ask for another if you too are assigned an awkward layout upon arrival. The biggest negative for us was the buggy HVAC system – it was quite cold outside but the heat could not be set below 22C/72F initially (the staff were able to take it down to 20 after we complained). We traveled with two other couples and one of them had the same experience and the other had the opposite – their bedroom was freezing regardless of the thermostat setting. Given the noise and pollution it was not ideal to open a window at night (but perhaps a room facing the interior would have been better?). This might not be an issue for many people but we find it hard to sleep in a stuffy room.
