- Colleen (2/5): Scroll past this one!! - Do not be deceived by the photos on the website!! They are staged and made to look like something they are not. You and your 1 suitcase can take a trip up the very slow elevator (it will not fit more than that) or you can risk a fall in the dimly lit spiral staircase with dark carpet, and dark walls that only allow for 1 person at a time. The area is VERY loud with many cafes and/or seedy establishments right outside the hotel entrance that will definitely interfere with your sleep! Lastly; there is no safe in the room, and no ice available. I was sorely disappointed!!!

- Victor (10/5): Great! Just know it’s small - I’ll start with the most important heads-up: the rooms are very small. We had a big travel bag so we had to open it on the bed. That said, it was something we were already expecting (it was quite impossible to find anything big and affordable in such a good location). So we made the most out of the room. The rain shower was a nice touch, and we didn’t see any leaks. The bed was comfortable and the decor was chic. The highlight is for sure the location, in an area filled with very good restaurants and bars, as well as the Metro. We were able to navigate in Paris very easily because of that. I also have to mention the very helpful employee at the front desk, Theo. He was super friendly and knew exactly what to recommend, such as touristic spots, delicious bakeries and even very specific suggestions - for example, we were looking for bars and he pointed out some that we really liked, including a drink in one of them that was excellent. I would stay here again.
- Holly (8/5): - Excellent location, smooth check-in and offered a slightly larger room to us, very small elevator which was an interesting experience! Room was adequate and clean. At check out, front desk asked for us to pay the room tax again but my husband knew we had already paid it when we checked in. Wondering why they didn’t see it on the reservation when checking out? Overall a great stay.
- Costa (10/5): - Really great boutique hotel in the third district of Paris. Very close walk to the Notre Dame. Subway is just down the street making it really convenient. Lots of really good restaurants in the neighbourhood and shopping. Drove itself super cute with a queen bed but very clean with a modern design. I would definitely come back again. Also, the staff really helpful. They lent me a charger for my phone and we’re just helpful with advice about the neighborhood.

- james (10/5): - Really cool little property in the middle of everything. Rooms are incredible small with little to no storage. Kind of a pain but we managed. I’ve never seen a smaller elevator in my life. Roughly 1/2 meter x 1 meter. Two people or one person and one piece of luggage. lol. Breakfast was really good. Staff exceptional. A little loud at times but tolerable. See attached video of elevator. I couldn’t stand back far enough to get a full pic.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Ideal location petite hotel with interesting decor - This small hotel is located in an ideal location to enjoy Paris, one block from Les Halles train/metro station. The lobby, rooms, and elevator are tiny, but the staff are wonderfully helpful, the decor is tasteful, and the bed was comfortable. The extra cost breakfast was tasty and well provisioned. The street noise is less because it's a walking area. There were some items in the room that weren't working and needed repair, and we reported these to the desk when we left.

- Courtney (10/5): - Great location, clean rooms. In a popular and busy foot-traffic area so there can be some outside noise but I didn’t find it to be too much. Super easy to/from both airports via RER and metro at Chatelet. There’s only one tiny elevator and it can be backlogged when the maids are cleaning so keep that in mind especially if you have a morning departure!

The carpet looked old. The night staff was very personable and friendly. The day time staff was initially having a hard time being patient and willing to listen to my requests as he was trying wget back to a phone call. But once he focused his attention he was very professional and extremely helpful.

- Haleh (8/5): - We had a comfortable stay at the hotel. The front desk staff were wonderful; very hospitable, efficient and helpful. The location was very busy which is understandable when you stay in the middle of the town. The breakfast was good. The only constructive criticism that we have is that there was very limited closet space for our clothes, and that the elevator was ridiculously small. The carpeting also needs to be updated especially the one in the elevator.

The hotel is right around the corner from the metro and is on a pedestrian mall so no worries about traffic. Tons of great restaurants nearby. 10/10.
- Roberta (10/5): - It was a great location. And the service at the front desk was great. Stairs were funny, elevator was tiny. If you have any mobility issues you shouldn’t stay here. But is a good clean hotel if you can climb stairs. Breakfast is definitely not worth the cost.

- Angus (10/5): - Handsome Hotel has friendly staff 24/7, is centrally located within easy walking distance of the Pompidou, the Louvre and several metro stations. The aircon was an absolute blessing during the heat (and much more effective than the aircon in a friend's hotel!), and the shower was fantastic too. The lift is a little... eccentric, but otherwise a really excellent little hotel that I'll be sure to use the next time I'm in Paris.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great little hotel! - Fantastic hotel! We stayed for a couple of nights in June and had a great time. The location was perfect for us, the local area was bustling with shops and cafes, near the metro stations which made getting around very easy although we walked a lot as the area was just so beautiful. The room itself was small as we chose the most simple of rooms knowing we wouldn’t be spending much time there but it was very comfortable, nice and quiet, and had everything we needed for our short stay. The front of house staff were very helpful and provided us with everything we asked. We didn’t try the hotel breakfast but there was breakfast available if required and we were able to store our luggage before check in and after check out which was useful due to our flight times. Overall we highly recommend the Handsome Hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Le Marais. We hope the visit again someday.

Great location for eateries and restaurants. The only downside was the size of rooms, the lift was tiny and staircase was steep and narrow, but expected for this type of location.

It is not the hotel’s problem but I spent 300 euros for taxi fares for my 3 night stay. A more feasible, cost effective, means of transportation would help. Maybe the metro would be a better choice?

In an area with local activities if you want a more authentic experience and not one designed for tourist. Louvre is an easy walk about 15 minutes thru park. You can take the RER-B from CDG airport to hotel about a 2 minute walk after you get out of station

- Fiona (8/5): Loved this cute hotel - We loved staying here. It is in a prime location right next to the train station and lots of food and shopping in the area all within walking distance. We felt safe and loved staying so close to everything. The hotel itself was nice too. It’s small so the elevator and hallways are extremely narrow and by that I mean only two people in the elevator at once literally hugging eachother because it’s so small and the hallways well one person at a time. The entrance to the hotel is cute but while we stayed there, we encountered a bit of an odor issue but otherwise very clean and elegant. The room itself was small but very nice. Looks like it was recently renovated and had a nice modern look to it. Everything was comfortable and we definitely enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back.

- A (8/5): Small hotel in vibrant area. - Very good location with many restaurants and close to Les Halles station for travelling to airports etc.. The staff were very helpful. The lift is tiny so slightly difficult if you are travelling with large luggage. Rooms are quite small but good bathroom and comfortable bed and nicely decorated. I thought it could be noisy but actually very quiet after about 11.00 p.m.

Be mindful, the elevator is extremely small and requires one person per ride if more than one bag. Breakfast was above average and welcoming surprise to get your day off to a good start. The only so-so negative is the strange and bad odor in the halls and bathroom. Love the awesome and friendly staff.

The only downside was that the elevator was very small and the stairs were tight and difficult for an older person.. As seniors, it occurred to us that there could be a problem getting us out if we had a health emergency. For that reason only, we probably wouldn't stay again.

It was a very compact space. The elevator was very narrow, as was the staircase, bathrooms, and the rooms in general. I think that’s standard for Paris, but I just wanted to note that it is not accessible for all people.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely hotel & bedroom - We had read previous reviews saying that the bedrooms are tiny so we choose to pay a bit more to have a Smart room. This was so worth it because we were given a lovely room with a view of the city and a bathroom with a bath. The staff on the front desk were always so welcoming and helpful. We did not have breakfast in the hotel so can not comment on this. We would definitely recommend this hotel and plan on staying here again in the future.
