• 942michelew (10/5): Amazing hotel!! - Beautiful boutique hotel located in the Latin Quarter on a quiet street. Beautiful place with an elevator and balcony rooms. The hotel is immaculate and updated; our room and was immaculately clean and had with a spacious, updated bathroom. Comfortable beds and great bath products. I can't say enough about the staff...they are gracious and kind and helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

• Langevindadoption (10/5): Classic Paris - loved our stay - We spent 4 nights in the Duc de Sully room and had a fantastic stay. Very comfortable bed. Choice of pillows. No noise issues at all even with the bathroom window open. Good bathroom - typical tiny bath but the shower is amazing. Plenty of hot water and fluffy towels, robes and slippers. Fridge and tea/coffee making facilities, topped up daily. Breakfast was delicious with a good selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cold cuts, cheese and the baguette and pastries were some of the best we have ever had. Friendly and efficient staff everywhere, every day. Great location in a safe but nice and lively area (Latin quarter) within easy walking distance of Notre Dame de Paris and the metro connections. We will definitely return. The only tiny downside is how small and stuffy the room is where they serve breakfast...be prepared to be up close and cozy with the neighbouring guests.

• C-Boland-Family (10/5): A Magnificent Stay - Staying at the Hotel Residence Henry IV was like staying with family. The service was superb. It is literally the cleanest hotel we've ever stayed in. The room was very comfortable and the bathhroom very modern. The location is excellent to walk, drive or take a train to anywhere in Paris. The breakfast at the hotel (for a small additional payment) had the best selectron of all the petit dejenuers we had in Paris. And we really appreciated the bottle of champagne that appeared in our room at the end of our stay. We will stay at this hotel every tie we go to Paris.

The neighbourhood is wonderful, with a great row of restaurants up around the corner on the way to the Pantheon. Notre Dame and Les Marais is a quick walk across the Seine, and proximity to the metro makes it easy to get around anywhere. The staff was great and always thoughtful, and provided us with a complimentary bottle of champagne after another guest set off the fire alarm at 3am one night. Charming hotel in our favourite arrondissement in Paris.

As i told you, i have visited a couple other hotels in your area since i stayed with you in 2018 & 2020, but none could compare to 50 Rue des Bernardins. You have a lovely quiet location, clean and classic chambres and a charming breakfast room with delightful offerings of cheeses, fruits, yogurts, pastries, drink choices and eggs. Your coffee is delicious as well! The staff at breakfast were all so kind and ready to serve. I broke a salt shaker and the lady was ready with the broom and assured me it happens often. I felt terrible but she made me feel better! I appreciated so much all your assistance with transportation to and from the airport The gentleman you work with to drive are polite, helpful and friendly. The lovely lady who cleans went out of her way to make our room welcoming to come back in to after a long day of sightseeing and the last day took time to help me get my large suitcase into the elevator. Truly, i would come back to stay with you all just because of the friendly people, but the place is also just the perfect Parisian boutique hotel. Plenty of shops and cafes close by, but a quiet corner not too crowded with tourists.

We loved the room, the breakfast and the location -- on the Left Bank in walking distance to many sights and metro distance to more. But mostly we appreciated the kindness of the staff. Hicham, for example, patiently explained the app for the metro/bus system that actually made figuring out how to get places easy. It's a wonderful hotel!

• HGr2026 (10/5): Charming hotel and excellent location - Location superb at the end of a street - easy access by foot to many attractions. Good selection of nice bistros in less than 1 km radius so there was no need to leave the neighborhood for dinner. The hotel is small but the rooms are more spacious than general in Paris. The kitchenette and nice coffee machine was an extra comfort as well as small balconies with great view.

I needed a massage and they arranged for a lady to come and give me one. The main receptionist is super super efficient and so helpful, nothing too much trouble and he always provided the little extras.

We had the Reubens room, twin share, city view via French door windows. Spacious. Fresh air. Quiet. Church bell toll was lovely & a good 7am wakeup call for 7:30-10am buffet breakfast. Spotlessly clean. Daily cleaning service. All amenties including kettle, coffee machine, stove top, microwave. Desk + dining table. Bath, bath salts, heated towel rack fir drying. Warm & cosy. Perfect Paris base. 2 min walk to main street, restaurants, cafes & shopping. 15 min walk to Seine. Batobus connection close. Easy walk to Notre Dame Cathédrale. Jardin de Plantes & Luxembourg Gardens only 15-20 mins walk away. Nothing. Perfect. Didn't want to leave!

Room was spacious and the small kitchenette was nice. Great water pressure and nice hot showers. Felt like a good place to be for over a week. The poor condition of the linens actually surprised me at a 4 star hotel.

• Martina (10/5): Great staff and location, very nice rooms and breakfast - Breakfast had a wonderful selection of fresh fruit you don't normally see at hotels: raspberries, blueberries, mango, passionfruit... A fantastic selection of pastries as well. Great fresh orange juice. Since my plane was early in the morning the hotel was able to arrange a tray of selected foods to my room so I could get an early start with a taxi they also arranged and was very professional.

Besides the great location (in the 5th, right near the market, the metro, and Notre Dame), this hotel takes enormous pride in providing personalized service and attention. Hicham, Qaisar, and the whole hotel team are very pleasant, patient, and eager to please. Additionally, the hotel is extremely safe and secure. No one gets past the front reception unless the hotel knows exactly who they are. This is so important.

My room was non-refundable, but they kindly allowed me to postpone my arrival by about six weeks due to a medical issue. This flexibility really helped me replan my trip. A couple of Electrical extension boards could be a big plus for charging iPhones etc.

We decided to do breakfast on our own after the first day. It wasn’t a good fit for us. Be aware that there are a few stairs to navigate when you exit the elevator.
• brubenow (10/5): Small gem in the 5th - I have stayed at many hotels in many locations in Paris over the years, ranging from budget-friendly hotels for my daughter, who is a student, to five star luxury hotels for special occasions. If you are looking for something in a great location and a good value, then this is a fantastic and well-run hotel in a great location in the fifth arrondissement. We were given a complementary upgrade to a suite, which was a very nice gesture. The hotel is an older historic building, and just a few blocks from the Seine. The bathroom was recently renovated with a modern rainfall shower, small kitchenette, and a pretty little terrace with table and chairs overlooking a small park. The neighborhood is very quiet and I slept well on a good mattress. Rooms are very clean. There is breakfast offered, but we did not eat at the hotel. Reception staff is always very courteous and professional. The decor of the rooms was intentionally done in a vintage style, but we found it to be very charming. This is not a bells and whistles hotel, but as I said, if you are looking for a good value in a great location within walking distance to most everything, clean, courteous staff, updated bathroom, and breakfast available if you want it, then this is a great little place to stay.

Great personal welcome (day and night front of house staff excellent) and back of house staff very polite and pleasant I am sure that the new young man serving breakfast will get the hang of the language and process - for the moment he is a little unproven. We have all been there!

Our room was cozy and beautifully decorated, very comfortable bed, small kitchenette, coffee, electric kettle, refrigerator, etc. Bathroom was new and also beautiful. Tall french doors to a small balcony. Made me feel that I was truly in Paris! Friendly and helpful staff - appreciate the surprise bottle of champagne they left us one day! Also in a great location, very close to Notre Dame and easy to walk to the metro, Louvre, Pantheon, etc. It is a quieter neighborhood than Marais which we appreciated. Wonderful stay!

The bed was comfortable, the shower had hot water and great pressure, the temperature of the room was perfect. I will 100% stay there again.
• W9625UJandrewh (10/5): Very special place - My fourth or fifth stay. Always a delight to come home to residence with a functional kitchen area in each room. Great location on the left bank. Notre Dame and the Pantheon are a short walk away. I only wish there were a few English language TV stations. CNN and BBC did not always work. I love the place anyway.
• maynoles (10/5): Beautiful boutique hotel in the Latin Quarter - Hotel Residence Henri IV is a lovely little hotel (13 rooms) on a quiet street right in the heart of the Latin Quarter. The facilities are beautiful. I chose a room with a balcony which was nice to get fresh air or have coffee/a glass of wine upon. I really enjoyed room service - delicious breakfast and a gentle way to enter the day! Huge lattes!!!

The staff were lovely and able to check us in a little early - which we were grateful for after a long flight. Our room was a really good size and the hotel itself was quiet, clean and close to everything we wanted to do.

Our suite, named “Louis XIV”, felt like stepping into a little Parisian fairy tale. 🏰 From the ornate ceilings and antique-style décor to the elegant furniture and rich royal tones, every detail whispers classic French charm. The suite had a cozy living room with French windows opening onto a quiet street, a bedroom draped in regal fabrics, and a marble-clad bathroom that felt so luxurious. Even a little kitchenette added a homely Parisian apartment touch. 💫 What made the experience even more special was the atmosphere — warm, elegant, and intimate. And I must highlight the staff: super friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. They truly made us feel at home in Paris. ❤️ A perfect hideaway to enjoy the art de vivre in Paris. • SteveRBoston_MA (10/5): Little gem in the Latin Quarter near Notre Dame. - Excellent small boutique hotel in the Latin Quarter with outstanding staff. We stayed here five nights. Located on a very quiet street. Only has 13 rooms but it is in top notch condition, extraordinarily clean. Definitely deserves the four star rating. Staff was totally professional and accommodating. A short walk from Notre Dame and the Cluny Museum. Quiet and safe location. Not a touristy neighborhood. Comfortable beds. Decent breakfast. Will stay here again.

The location was so close to major attractions (Notre Dame, the Seine River, Panteon, transportation (bus and subway), great shopping, markets and bakeries and cafes! Loved it!

Our requests are always fulfilled and always with a smile. The location is excellent for an easy walk to all sites. We will return!

• veljanovsky (10/5): - The staff was exceptionally good, a guy from the 3rd shift took my uber order and kept it for me until i came home, always smiling and always do what they say theyll do its not about what i dont like its about what i expected, the hotel is really small and that was my turn off in the beggining, but as soon as i got out and saw that the other hotles are roughly the same size in that part of Paris i started liking it
• CathyA943 (10/5): Great location, Exceptional Customer Care - This is a lovely hotel in a great, quiet location. It is a short walk to Notre Dame, which was a major destination for us as we wanted to see the restoration after the fire. There are many great places to eat nearby and the staff are terrific. The hotel staff provided exceptional service for us. In particular, on our return trip to the airport, they secured a taxi for us and the driver went out of his way to assist us. In the rush to unload our luggage, I left my camera bag in his car. He came back to the airport and brought the bag to us at the check in counter for our flight. The hotel had a relationship with him and he was eager to make sure all went well for us.

• Didier (8/5): - The decoration of the rooms is impressive. The location is also very attractive, allowing to walk in most interesting places of the left bank and up to the Louvre. While breakfast was up to the expectation, the breakfast room is really small and easily crowded.
• Paul (10/5): - This is a small boutique hotel that has not been ruined by remodeling. The location is walking to most of the main sights. The breakfast was excellent. When my partner fell ill, they had a doctor to our room within an hour. You would have thought she was family with the concern they showed.

• J_Mas_63 (10/5): - Wonderfully large space in a great location of Paris. The staff was ever friendly and helpful and breakfast was wonderful. Having extra space - large bedroom and a sitting area with desk - a refrigerator and small kitchenette in Paris is quite a luxury. Tea/coffee set up was great to have. Latin Quarter area is the prefect place to stay.
• OnAir284203 (10/5): My secret hotel - Hotel Residence Henri IV is my refuge in Paris. With only 13 rooms, it is small, quiet, beautifully appointed and immaculate. The staff is superb. It is tucked into a cul de sac but very close to shops and restaurants and only steps from the Seine. Breakfast is always fresh and generous.
• MariaLJA (10/5): 2nd stay in Paris - This hotel is a little gem in the Latin Quarter. Extremely helpful staff, quiet location but close to the Seine, Notre Dame, great restaurants, Pantheon. Comfortable beds and nice big bathtub in what looked to be a recently updated bathroom. Ask for a room with a little balcony.
