It’s not the most hygienic to have carpet like that in a hotel. Other than that, the stay was great and the location was perfect.
- Mandy (6/5): My Paris hotel - The room was minuscule and little to no cupboard space. Minute shower very little floor space in bathroom. We were tripping over each other. However we found a large area of mould on the ceiling and when I complained they offered to change our room but as we only had one night and my goods were spread everywhere we declined. That room should never have been sold in that condition and we should have been given some reimbursement !! Staff were delightful however.
- bludovic (10/5): Secret Spot: Hotel Verneuil in Paris! - We have stayed at this hotel four or five times. Such a gem. The staff is incredible and their welcoming and help is so refreshing in Paris. The rooms are perfect sized and the windows looking out such a classic Parisian vibe. The location of this place is next to everything but in a quiet street. I highly recommended it. Ten stars on everything. Special note for the delicious breakfast served underground in a renovated beautifully lit cave.

It may have been a quirk of demand/ time of travel but this stay worked out at £450 a night and being honest I would have expected a lot more in terms of room size/amenity for that kind of money. I would not re-book at that rate.

This hotel is older, amenities are older and room was smallest we’ve had. If you want to be near the expensive galleries, this is a great location. For us, the room was too small and plain, with little light from one window. We were on the 3rd floor back side. Breakfast was ok, space was tight there too. Nighttime staff were very friendly. The driver they arranged for us to and from the airport was great.

Walls are so thin -- we never heard silence or anything remotely close to it. We heard our neighbors' conversations and the sex they had -- VERY hard to fall asleep. Good location and comfortable bed though.

The rooms were clean and the hotel was conveniently located. Paul was excellent as well as the manager with white hair. We got excellent recommendations from the staff for dinner. - happyus1 (8/5): A Boutique hotel - We have just stayed here for 1 night, on our way travelling through France. The lady on reception was wearing a face mask. We did not find this welcoming. If she needed to wear a mask, I would suggest another colleague should be on reception. During our check-in, she answered the telephone and spend many minutes dealing with a query regarding availability. We were tired and wanted to just go to our room. I know these boutique hotels in Paris are small, we have stayed in a few others, but the en-suite was particularly small. We requested a room facing the road, which we got. However, we had to move furniture in order to open the window. The room was very clean. Our towels were changed, which we did not requested as we were only staying over 1 night. The bedding was good. The road is quiet, which is a bonus in St. Germain

- Laura Jean (4/5): - The room I had was an upgraded room but the floor was uneven so it was weird to walk around the room. The air conditioner was not very cool. The toilet seat had shocking stains and needed to be replaced. The carpet in the room looked dirty. The bed was comfortable. The mini fridge didn’t work at all so the drinks were warm. There was no quality control in the room condition. Also, they have actual keys to the room and they put this 7 pound keychain on them and tell you that you can’t leave with the key. It has to be turned in at the front desk each time you leave the hotel. This is weird. The breakfast buffet is ok if you are not actually paying money for it. The reviews previously left are glowing but I don’t think they share the same standards.

- Sami (4/5): - The location was great. Aside from that I would not recommend this hotel. The rooms are tiny. We expected that from photos but they are even smaller than expected. The air conditioning in the hotel was not on despite the weather being around 78 degrees. When we asked about turning it on they said they couldn’t and the company had to come (but they were not calling the company to come). At night it was almost impossible to sleep due to the heat. We had to ask for sheets to use as blankets. They provided a small fan which only slightly helped.

- HOHUMS (10/5): A jewel of a hotel in the Left Bank - This was a return visit to this hotel and we loved our stay for the second time. The location is ideal, on the left bank near the rue du Bac, rue du Université, the antique shop and art galleries. The staff are really friendly and helpful (ordering taxis, bringing tea), the salon is ideal to meet friends, wait for taxis, enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day. The rooms, though small like many in Paris, are wonderfully kitted out and efficiently arranged. I am sure the hotel will become even more popular, particuarly as it is sited just by the recently opened Maison Gainsbourg, and deservedly so.

It is where you want to be, a 10 minute walk to Les Deux Magots and the shopping on Boulevard Saint Germain. The staff really make this hotel stand out from others.

- pcQ454GS (4/5): Charming but noisy! - This hotel is in a lovely location, it’s clean, the rooms are pretty and the staff are warm and very helpful. However, if you want to be able to get a good night’s sleep, this wouldn’t be my first choice. It’s an old building so you’d expect some noise but across four days we only got two hours of uninterrupted sleep at any point. There is so much banging in the building because of thin walls and floors and design of bathrooms and drawers etc. so if you’re not noise conscious and don’t mind spending a little more, great, but if you want somewhere to sleep then I’d (regretfully) go elsewhere.

- ddikelly (10/5): Perfect boutique hotel - Stayed here with my teen daughter in room 402 which was street facing but still incredibly peaceful. Nespresso & kettle and a few things in the mini bar each day added to the whole feel. Front desk staff always friendly and attentive. Cleaners helpful and friendly. Fabulous location surrounded by cafes and galleries but amazingly quiet and restorative. There’s stairs to the first floor then a lift to other floors but staff helpful with cases if needed. Would highly recommend and would certainly stay here again.

The attention to detail at the hotel (ambience, etc) was so well thought out. The delightful staff is what made my stay perfect. They were so accommodating and their attention to detail on all the little things that make a stay perfect was evident at every turn. I'll definitely be back!
- RSWEGS (10/5): Our Home away from home - We had another enjoyable stay at the Hotel Verneuil. The management continues to add little touches to make the hotel feel more special - from the floral arrangement in the sitting room to the nosegays strategically placed throughout the public spaces. The breakfast continues to be one of the best things about the Verneuil but the staff is what really makes our stay so special. Everyone is super friendly and helpful and makes us feel right at home. Can't wait to see them again soon.
- CaterpillarChicago (10/5): Charming hotel! - Absolutely beautiful and charming hotel in St Germain neighborhood in Paris. The hotel breakfasts were absolutely delicious—definitely worth it. We are a British/American couple in our 50’s. The rooms are small (so do not expect a ton of room for spreading out)—but they are charming, stylish, and well appointed. And the shower had plenty of hot water and great water pressure. The hotel is on a side street, and so it was nice and quiet at night for sleeping. The hotel itself is so stylish and classy without being over the top. This is a sophisticated four-star hotel if you’re looking for quiet rather than flashy. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful—from the women serving breakfast and cleaning—to the front desk. We loved Isabel, Jonathan, and Nazeera—but did not get the others’ names.

We stayed at one of the club rooms with high ceilings and a large window facing the street (#304). The staff is professional, friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean, the bed is comfortable and there are snacks, coffee and tea in the room. The hotel is close to museums, cafes and nice shopping area. Overall a perfect stay.

We know the staff and they all know us. It feels like a family. The rooms are small and noise travels but that is Paris. The location is amazing: quite street (rare for Paris) and in what I think is the chicest arrondissement in Paris. A real treat!!!

- Kristina (8/5): Great boutique hotel in central Paris - The hotel was beautiful and exactly what we wanted for central Paris. It was near three metro stops so getting around was convenient and in a great neighborhood. Walkable to many sites we wanted to go to, and easy for commuting. The staff was friendly and helpful. When we went to check in, the room wasn’t ready and they told us to wait in the parlor. An hour later, it seems that they had forgotten about us and the room had actually been ready for 45 minutes. It was during the week of Christmas and New Years, so they were likely overwhelmed and there was a change of staff, but for a 4 star hotel I expected better handoff and communication. The room was small (as expected), which wasn’t a problem. The shower didn’t drain well and flooded the bathroom floor every time we showered. Rooms could be updated - it was all carpet.

Literally could hear guests in the next room cough. The next night, at 1am another guest was having a loud conversation. We heard other guests every night. - 713karenr (10/5): Charming boutique hotel - Loved our stay at Hotel Verneuil for our first visit to Paris. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Great location within walking or biking distance to all the lovely sites of Paris. Close to the train station to go to Versailles. Stayed in room 502, the largest room on the top, 5th floor. It was delightful to open the windows to the street and enjoy the fresh air. Stairs only from first to second floor and then lift from there to the other floors. Arrived before check-in, and they graciously stored our luggage so we could begin sightseeing. On our return, luggage had been placed in our room. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
- EUSEBIO (8/5): - Great location, kind staff, not the best layout, having to go up a flight of stairs to reach tiny elevator. Bed was very cozy, bath a bit small but overall very nice.
- lindamC9119RF (10/5): Romantic and quiet - This welcoming, family-run hotel is on a quiet street just blocks across the Seine from the Louvre. We stayed in Room 104, a romantic garret with lovely old beams and a French balcony overlooking the street. Despite the charming but petit room, the ceilings were tall, the shower is capacious and full-strength, the bed is roomy and comfy, and all possible amenities were provided, including a half-bottle of Chablis (or beer and Coke), fluffy robes and towels, and L’Occitane soaps and lotions. There is also a lovely sitting room on the first floor, in case you need a place to work or gather. Someone was always at the front desk, kind, cheerful, and ready to help with luggage or restaurant recommendations or reservations. I was ready to move in.
- Ranveig (8/5): - This charming property is in a great location just a block off the river and walking distance to many attractions. It is a boutique hotel with limited facilities. There is a tiny elevator to take you and your luggage up to the higher floors. The complementary mini bar is a nice plus. Bathroom is very small but efficient with plush towels. The staff was very helpful. A little pricey but that may just be what to expect in Paris.
- Rhonda (6/5): - Pros - Location. Staff @ breakfast Cons - Room is in need of a refresh. Bathroom is dark. Not conducive for business travel - no desk space at all. No storage to speak of, so most clothing stayed in the suitcase. Had to request a luggage rack and extra hangers.

- Chengchang (8/5): - The location is great, at the center of Paris. Near to Museum de Orsay and the Louvre. The building is old-fashioned and the staff is great. The elevator is very small- it only has the room for one person with luggage. But since this hotel only has 26 rooms, it's enough. One shortcoming is that the room is not spacious, hardly has the room to place your suitcase, but I guess that's normal at center Paris. And the key of the room is old school, make it unique. I also like the stairs.
- Adam (4/5): - I liked the street around it. But the street it was on was too quiet and most places weren’t operating or boarded up. He had to walk 1 flight of steps because bellman had gone home for the day. Elevator was too small for luggage. Very disappointed with this hotel. I wouldn’t recommend

- Nicholas (10/5): Lovely stay for sightseeing - Hotel is in a great location, we were able to walk to all the sights we wished to see in Paris. Staff on reception very friendly too.
- Mariya (10/5): - From the first moment to check-out, our stay at Hotel Verneuil was wonderful. Sweet, welcoming people. The room was tiny (but expected to be small given the historic building) but good. Comfy bed, air conditioning (wish I could control the fan though, it was too strong the whole time), great shower, love Occitane products. Nespresso machine in the room is a huge plus! Slippers, bathrobes. Breakfast is delicious. Nice selection of pastries, best hot cocoa ever. Definitely will stay there again. Thank you!
- Julia (10/5): - The property was beautiful cute and quaint. A small boutique hotel. Friendly staff, felt very safe and clean. Only complaint was that our air conditioning was not very cold. The hotel gave us a fan for our room and this helped the situation. It was a very hot week in Paris to their defense.
