Guest Reviews
- Nancy (8/5): - Well situated. Transportation excellent.
- Frederick (8/5): - Right in the center of a really lively neighborhood. Room was fairly basic, but had all the necessities. Free drink on arrival, which was nice. Staff was super helpful.
- Peter (6/5): - Triple room on the ground floor was very loud - we could hear every noise from the stairs and room above. Only 1 of 4 or 5 folks at the front desk expressed any interest in helping us out the directions or recommendations. However, if you are traveling via the Montparnasse train station, it is very convenient and great Metro connections also.
- Shri (10/5): - Clean, great service and fantastic location.
- Andrew (2/5): - The hotel is located between a british pub and an indian restaurant and opposite one the ugliest station in Europe. The rooms are in desperate need of updating. Worst of all my partner and i were bitten by bed bugs! I could go on but happy the experience is behind me.
- Alberto (10/5): - Good Hotel. Very convenient.
- Bryce (8/5): - Good location. Good aircon and lots of cafes. Train station 350 metres away
- Mark (8/5): - This hotel.is in a great location for restaurants, cafes, public transport.
- Christina (10/5): - Close to train station, very clean, appreciated water, coffee and tea in room, comfortable bedding.
- Celina (10/5): - Cute boutique environment! The location was ideal with many options of a variety of restaurants.
- Mark (8/5): - Room was clean. Shower was a bit small.
- Marie (10/5): - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff were excellent and close to train station and dinning areas.
- Cheryl (10/5): - Modern, clean, convenient and inexpensive.
- Wallace (10/5): - Very friendly staff, comfortable, clean, updated/modern and good location.
- CHI KEI, (10/5): - Safe, clean, staffs are friendly.
- eniko (8/5): - Very close to the rail road station.
- Stephen (8/5): - Great location in vicinity of Montparnasse station adjacent to metro entrance and walking distance to good selection of bars and restaurants in the Edgar Quintet area.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Okay, wouldn't pay more than I did - Photos are favourable compared to the room. Felt very itchy after sleeping and thought it might be bed bugs but couldn't see anything.
Charged for simple things like coffee pod and wasn't the cleanest.
That being said, it's Paris, it is central, wasn't that bad and had a 24 hour reception.
- Laura (8/5): - It was a good place to stay! The shower would leak water into the bathroom because the door wasn’t sealed enough and the elevator was pretty old but the room was good and the location was great (2 min walk from the train station) I had a balcony which I really enjoyed but that depends on what floor they put you on. Good options to eat around the area and walking distance to Luxembourg gardens!
- Jean (8/5): - Great location , next to train station and close many other place to visit.
- Dominique (10/5): - Super cute hotel and friendly staff. Really close to train station and metro. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to friends
- Jean (8/5): - This small hotel is conveniently situated. It has double glazing, elevator, air conditioning with controls in the room. It is quiet and comfortable, with a reasonable sized room. The wifi is good. There are a lot of good restaurants of a variety of cuisines close by, also a Metro station, several supermarkets, Boulangerie, post office, Montparnasse station. The beds were comfortable. Suggest bringing a double adapter if you like to charge your phone by the bed, as there is only one power point, used by the bedside lamp. Staff are friendly and helpful and very professional and pleasant. Would stay again.
- Jennifer (6/5): - Decent size room and bathroom for Paris. Don’t book the breakfasts as there are so many lovely options nearby for a fraction of the price.
- Johana (8/5): - We had a small issue while checking in, but the staff was very helpful and provided us with an upgraded room for the trouble. Overall the hotel is clean and comfortable.
- Meron (4/5): - The hotel was clean, but everything about the experience felt just average at best. The bathroom sink didn’t drain properly, and the mini fridge barely worked – not ideal for even a short stay. To make matters worse, we were locked out and had to wait outside for a while because no one was at the front desk. When someone finally showed up, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience.
There were also some missing basics you’d expect in any modern room: no USB outlets or sockets to charge your phone, and only one trash bin – located in the bathroom. For a longer stay, that’s just not practical.
We weren’t expecting luxury, but for the price, the service and amenities were underwhelming. I split my time between Paris and other cities in France, so I’m familiar with the hotel landscape. Just prior to this, we stayed at La Valiz in Lille, where we were treated like five-star guests. The contrast was striking.
This hotel might suffice for a quick overnight, but if you’re looking for comfort, convenience, or even basic customer service, you’d be better off spending your money elsewhere.
- michele (8/5): - It was a very cute boutique feeling hotel with lots of restaurants/shopping near by. Booked because we had an early train in the morning and its location is only too blocks from agate montrapasse. Staff was very friendly and spoke English. Our room wasn’t ready at check in but only had to wait about 15 minutes
- Anne (10/5): - Great location
- Charles (8/5): - Second stay for us. It's convenient to Gare Monparnasse. We just stayed one night and the took the train.
- Colleen (10/5): - This property was so comfortable for our two night Paris stay. Location is convenient to metro and Montparnasses Gare, also cafes and restaurants. Rooms are very adequate with good bathrooms especially the shower. The bed offered super comfort, in fact one of the best in our 6 week holiday in France. For a convenient, comfortable hotel we thoroughly recommend this hotel.
- John (10/5): - Overall nice area and walkable. The WiFi was not the best and made working from the room difficult at times.
- Marie (6/5): - The room for two people was small, more suitable for one person. Bathroom was OK.
- Gail (6/5): - Well located for our needs. Noisy outside. Good breakfast.
- Dana (10/5): - We stayed here recently. My daughter, mom, and I. The room was nice and clean. The location was perfect. So many restaurants close by. Also very close to the train station.
- Michele (10/5): - A very convenient propert for the train station. Many lovely restaurants within walking distance.
- Colleen (8/5): - Helpful staff at check-in. Lovely service at breakfast. Close to Gare Montparnasse.
- Luis (10/5): - It was extremely elegant and clean. Calm and enjoyable stay right in the middle of everything.
- Sally (10/5): - Great hotel. Room was small but adequate. Everything new and clean. Great place to sleep and get out to experience Paris. Front desk folks were very helpful. Good access to train station and metro. Breakfast was excellent and inexpensive.
- Sara (8/5): - Clean and convenient to train station and metro. Good value.
- Almond China (8/5): - Friendly staff. Great location
- Sarah (8/5): - Property was very convenient for transport, shopping and restaurants. Daytime reception staff very helpful. Rooms were dated but very clean. Could have done with daily drinking water in the room. Travelled with daughter and grandchildren. Very small lift available but hard to manoeuvre to the family rooms with pram and luggage. But that's a minor detail. Very good stay overall.
- Keri (6/5): - It was fine. Big bathroom which is nice for Paris. Ugly and dated decor and dingy hallways. Was not even offered the free drink (which presumably would have just been a tea or coffee).
- Camila (2/5): - I would not even consider this a 1 star motel. We arrived past midnight due to a late flight and all we needed was a place to rest. The pictures seemed like this would be a beautiful hotel, so we were excited. The hallways smelled of cigarettes, the all the drains in the bathroom were broken and open, the room itself was dingy and nothing like the photos. I felt dirty just standing in the room. On top of all that discomfort, the smell of cigarettes had my boyfriend who just went through chemo aching with a sore throat and nausea. Expedia was able to see this was a health concern more than anything but as we left the staff mocked us that we would never see any refund. I accepted their taunts because my concern was our health above all. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I found a cheaper hotel a block away that was beautiful the staff were so nice and was a sanctuary after long days of exploring.
- paula (6/5): - We chose this hotel because its location, which is close to the train station. However, being on a busy street, it is very noisy. The breakfast is 14 euro per person, but selections are very limited. We stayed for 4 nights, the window was making so much noise due to the wind, we asked the staff to fix it. He was not able to, so we had a restless night before our long flight home.
- Katrina (6/5): - Location
- WILLIAM (6/5): - Nice location.
- Marie (4/5): - We had a water leak in the bathroom from the bathroom above. The personnel did not want to deal with this properly and gave us no new room.it was an old issue as the ceiling looked bad from the beginning. It should have never been rented out. Employees did not seem to understand proper French or English and when there was someone they just seemed annoyed about our complain. Hotel otherwise would have been great . Very disappointing it caused unnecessary stress.
- Simon (10/5): - Great staff, large room and relaxing reception area
- Anna (10/5): Perfect for our needs! -
We had a great stay at this hotel! It was perfect for what we needed—clean, very quiet (we stayed in a family room facing the courtyard), and the beds were super comfy. While the bathroom could probably use an update, we honestly can’t complain given the price. The location is fantastic, incredibly convenient with a large supermarket nearby, plenty of restaurants to choose from, and easy access to the train station and a taxi rank. Overall, top marks from us!
- Richard (4/5): - I rate hotels mostly on the quality of sleep I get. Unfortunately here it was poor/terrible. I want to say though that the staff were really brilliant, humoring my attempts at speaking French and the hotel was very clean with good room service each day. The noise issues I think we're because we had a first floor room at the front and there was a lot of road noise, sirens overnight. Also having no carpets doors make more noise and the people above us seemed to be nocturnal, shifting furniture it seemed at 3am one night. Maybe we were unlucky. Slight negative was lack of hair conditioner/apres-shampooing, even asked for some and none available. Location is great though and if you got a room facing the courtyard on an upper floor I think you'd have a nice stay.
- janette (10/5): - Buen lugar con acceso a metro y trenes además buses, personal amable, habitación y baño cómodos
- Verified traveler (6/5): Basic Hotel - This is a basic hotel; we choose it because it was approximately the halfway point to all the activities that we had planned for this trip.
- Tim (8/5): - The rooms were a good size and staff were good. Had all facilities required in the rooms, but walls are very thin, so room can be very noisy. Lift is very small too, so utilised the stairs quite a bit. Might need to allow time for this if unable to take the stairs.
- Souhail (6/5): - Room was clean but small. Enjoyed the proximity to restaurants and amenities. Easy to manage and get around. Staff gets mixed reviews, some were great, some not so much.
- Sylvain (10/5): - Well located. Great value. Quality and comfort. Very good service. Highly recommended.
- Russell (8/5): - Great location. Ignore the pictures on the Expedia website, our room was plain brown and white, no flower prints on bedspreads or paintings on walls, very utilitarian. BUT we weren't in Paris to stay in the room, so it met our needs, just kinda let down with discrepancy and response to our comments about this to the staff. Location was great !
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall good experience. We didn’t want room service every day however we wanted clean towels every day, but one of the receptionists said that we can only get clean towels if the room is cleaned. The maids however were fine with giving us towels when we asked for them.
There wasn’t easy access to charging stations for devices. Electric plugs were close to the floor which were not convenient especially for our heavier US transformers
- Timothee (10/5): - nice welcome, and the welcome drink was a nice touch. Breakfast was nice in a cute room downstairs
bed was confortble
bathroom very clean
plenty of towels
very quiet even though the room gave onto the street
very close to train station
- Rafael (8/5): - Hotel was clean and staff friendly, like everything in Europe oom was small but confortable.
What surprised us was, our room was on the fith floor through the fire exit door and through 2 more doors really closed together We almost couldn't find it, a bit uncomfortable going through two door 3 feet apart with luggage
- Silvana (4/5): - The hotel is very well situated. Close to all transportation and to many nearby restaurants and attractions. The size of the room and bathroom was really good for Paris and the bed was quite comfortable. Also had a small fridge which was nice to have. Unfortunately, the tv never worked properly - they tried to fix it twice but it kept losing signal and the remote/battery wasn’t working properly so they finally changed it. The safe was old and difficult to use. Definitely needs some updates but for the price in Paris, it did the job.
- John (8/5): - Staff very helpful. Good stay
- Paulin (10/5): - Very convenient if you are arriving or departing from the Montparnasse train station. Close to the M4 metro. Comfortable bed. Good French breakfast. The complimentary wine/champagne at check-in is nice. Despite the proximity to a busy thoroughfare, very quiet in the room with windows closed. It was cool during my stay, so cannot say if there is effective AC.
- Amy (10/5): Great boutique hotel - Great little hotel in a safe area with lots of dining options nearby. Metro is very close. We would rebook again!
- Javier (8/5): - The only issue I had was the fact that the rooms were extremely small for Americans.
- Albert (6/5): - Beds were comfortable but terrible soundproofing between rooms. Bathroom was extremely small and only hand held shower was provided which was hard to use and no shelving to place toiletries.
- shari (8/5): - Convenient location to restaurants and transportation. I bit noisy if you have simeone in a room above you. I had to ask the front desk at 11:15 pm to call the room above to please be quiet.
- john (8/5): - Great location. The rooms are more basic compared to our last stay 5 years ago. Loved the honor bar in the lobby
- Steve (10/5): Good comfortable hotel - Nice comfortable hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms although a little small were clean, modern and soundproof from the main road outside. We would definitely go back on our next trip.
- Lloyd (8/5): - A pleasant stay. Very close to the metro line in the train station.
- franck (8/5): - Perfect location for us between railway and airport for one night.
, plenty restaurants in the area at walking distance.
- Vidyadhar (6/5): - Although it was clean and convenient to access the Metro and other aminities, it was basic condition Hôtel. One of the reception staff, Yanis, was quite helpful during our four days stay. He guided us as to the use of Paris Metro system which made our stay enjoyable to explore the city.
- Juana (6/5): - Pics are a little deceiving the place is a lot smaller than it shows . Sync was broken for one day and then they moved us to a bigger room
- Isabella (8/5): - Excellent location. Nice rooms. The only issue would be the way the showers are designed. They’re very small and water vapor can become suffocating. You need to open the shower doors. This would be my only observation, the rest 10/10
- RICHARD (10/5): - Accommodating, clean and and convenient to the Metro.
- colin (10/5): - Great location
Friendly staff
- Leila (10/5): - Our stay was comfortable and clean. We really appreciated the staff and service as well. Given it is close to the main street near Montparnasse (the reason we selected it--proximity to the train station), also made it a bit too noisy to keep windows open at night. We have a good stay and would recommend!
- Felix (10/5): - Very close to everything
- Christopher (8/5): - Very clean and confortable
- Sarah (6/5): - A nice, basic hotel (not what I’d class as “boutique” as described on their website). Clean, friendly and great location for Gare Montparnasse
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great value.
Steps from Montparnasse, very convenient if you’re coming by train. And close to lots of bistros and restaurants.
Room was very clean and comfortable. Small but perfect for 1 or 2 persons
- Milenko (10/5): Wonderful stay - Location and cleanliness of this hotel is amazing together with their welcoming staff
- SUSANA (6/5): - The location is GREAT, you have all subway stations walking distance!! The room was good, I had a long balcony .
The rooms are to close to each other and it is quite noisy, and they didn’t change the bed sheets.
- Jose (6/5): - It says soundproof rooms but you can hear every single thing. The hotel also has no real amenities. No shampoo for example. No makeup remover available. It stares into an ugly mall-like building.
- Chloe (10/5): - The hotel is ideally situated a few minutes walk from the train station. The room was quite spacious for being in Paris, a bit old fashioned but clean. The sound proof window noise was excellent. Nice staff, quick and easy check in and check out.
The tv was not working properly and there was a smell of ammoniac inside the minibar. I could hear quite loud the water going through the pipes when someone is using the bathroom in the room next to mine.
Except that, everything pleased me and I would for sure stay there again.
- Mark (2/5): Families avoid - I cannot understand how this Hotel has such a high rating.
The staff were mostly polite, the night porter was lovely.
However, our booking was a mess, 2 adults & 3 children and nobody could join the dots about what room would suit best so we were put on 2 different floors. We then had to change one of our rooms to a smaller one, however they still wanted to charge us the same price. We got a very small reduction in the end, after a lot of arguing and messages back and forth woth Hotels.com.
Also, the "family rooms" on each floor are right beside a death trap of a staircase. So, avoid at all costs if you are a family
- Amr (6/5): - Good sized rooms , great location , staff had attitude , and room cleaning was meh, and did not refresh coffee or cups
- Victoria (4/5): - The air conditioner in our room was broken and they made no effort to get it fixed. Front desk staff were not helpful. We will not stay here again.
- Eric (4/5): - Air conditioning was down. Not good.
- Gilles (10/5): - Helpfull staff. Expensive for a 3 star hotel. But all are at that $360-$400 CAD/ night range. Other than money, good hotel stay. Reserved 5 months earlier and found out, hotel was fully booked 1 month later. (Mar2024)......(June 2024)
- Richard (2/5): - When we arrived to the property they did not tell us that the air conditioning was broken in our room. They did not have another room available with air conditioning. This is unacceptable.
- Laurence (4/5): - Air conditioning broken down for my entire stay (3nights). No compensations offered by the staffs whatsoever. Basically, take it or leave it!
- steven (10/5): - Great location near the train station and lots of wonderful restaurant options. Great staff and accommodations. Very nice hotel. Highly recommend.
- Cheryl (8/5): - Aircon and safe not working but changed our room immediately.
- Alejandro (8/5): - The hotel is well located. The staff is friendly. breadfast was good. Hotel room has the minimum and very small, is good for two people, but n ot for three. The bathtub is too high if you have mobility issues or are too big. the glass only cover half of the tub.
- Halima (8/5): - Arriving at the reception we were given a pass key which did not work and when I asked for at least two passes for the whole family and which worked the receptionist surprised me with her answer that they are in repurchase of passes. After insisting with his manager we were provided with the two passes
- saad (10/5): Stay with family - Comfortable hotel with a great central location close to restaurants and attractions Eifel tower and louvre are all 15 to 20min away via uber and metro
- Frances (6/5): - The hotel was not ideal as we prefer to explore Paris by foot. It takes about 45 to 60 min to walk to any main places of interest. It does have good access to buses and the metro. There are many restaurants around the hotel, which cater to those you stay or work locally as a result speaking a little French is helpful to order food or get directions.
- Lauren (10/5): - Clean, friendly and convenient.
- Anthony (10/5): - Right in the middle of everything Paris has to offer.
- Valerie (10/5): - Had a wonderful 4 night stay here. Nicely updated room with a small closet with a safe (that worked! So many places I stayed in France this trip had a safe but were broken 👎) and a small fridge. Bed was comfortable and I felt very safe at this location. Easy to access from the metro and lots of food options nearby. The only small minor negative was on night one of my stay, the pipes from the room above started leaking into my bathroom (I think it was from the shower above). Small puddle of water and nothing ruined but I was just too tired to do anything but put a towel down and sleep.
Otherwise this was a great place to stay.
- daniel (10/5): - My family of 6 had 2 rooms and everything was great! The beds were comfortable. We were able to navigate Paris very easily as this hotel was by 2 different metro lines.
