- Demi (6/5): - It was a very small room, but location was ideal. The floor was carpet, but it wasn’t the cleanest floors. The bathroom was very clean. However, the room was extremely stuffy and the AC wasn’t really working. It’s a true 3 star hotel. Love that it was dog friendly and staff was very nice.
- Gurpreet (10/5): - This hotel is exactly as it is in pictures, but just keep in mind that all hotels in Paris are quite small, so don’t be surprised by the size of the room. The location is very ideal. It is a short walk from arc de triumph and Avenue des Champs-Élysées. This location is about a 30 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower, which is very walkable and the streets are very safe. During check-in staff was very helpful and provided instructions on how to get a round Paris. The room itself was very clean and had everything that was needed, including a safe. Was quite impressed with the amenities.

Only negative is significant stairs getting into and out of the property that would restrict some people with disabilities.

Our reservation was lost when we arrived and the first night we stayed in a very small room with no A/C. However the host moved us the day after and things were improved. Aside from the convenience there's not much to say. The breakfast was very basic and the overall convenience was at the low end. Typical 3* hotel in Paris.

- marinafrancodias (10/5): Great - Great location, being so close to Arc du Triomphe and still in a quiet area. Two metro stations close (Kleber and Etoile). The rooms were comfortable, very clean and with good mattresses. We had a triple room and it had a fairly good size for Paris standards. The breakfast was absolutely great! Loved it and totally worth the price. There is a small market (fanprix) nearby and only one small boulangerie nearby (not the best) Downsides: One of our rooms had a bathtub, and it was too high and it concerned us as our mother could slip. If you have a disability , the hotel entrance could be an issue as it has stairs.

Zahir the manager was fantastic and knowledgeable around the surrounding areas. 3 star on cleanliness as I informed the staff to clean the room which wasn’t done and I also overheard another customer request for a room clean but was told the staff only come in the morning and there was nothing they can do. Also, there was a distinct odor when you first enter the room. However the staff and location made up for it.
- Wynee (10/5): - Property was great but the stairs comming off of Victor Hugo to get to the entrance of the hotel needed attention. The steps may not be owned and managed by the hotel but it indirectlt reflex on the hotel. Keeping them clean and washed off would be a plus.

- Sheryl (8/5): Check when the A/C is turned on - The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming and my room, although small, as are most rooms in France, had everything I needed. The bed was super comfortable as were the pillows. The only thing missing and that should be included in the amenities section is that the A/C is only turned on as of May 1st. It just happened that Paris was in a heat spell and had I known that the A/C would not be on for the better part of my stay I would have planned my stay differently.

- Jose Julio (4/5): - The location is close to the Arc of Triumph and also has a convenience store nearby. We didn’t like that we couldn’t adjust the air conditioner to our desired temperature. We went in winter and the set the hotel to heat…but since the rooms are so small the body temperature and after taking a shower the air inside the room gets warmer…well there is no way to cool it down…they tell you to open the window but it’s noisy outside with traffic, sirens and an engine the is close by the property that runs 24/7 pumping something. Would not recommend this place. If you are in an emergency and need a place to stay for a night or two it’s fine but more than that it’s a no no.

- Bondgirlcanada (10/5): Great Paris Experience - Great hotel in a great city location close to all attractions. Very close to Arc de Triomphe about 6 -7 min walk and close proximity to Metro. A small and clean hotel with employees from reception to cleaners are very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is continental but just enough to start your day and we had a quiet sleep considering it was in the centre of Paris. I highly recommend this hotel to travelers whose planning a Paris Adventure.

It is walking distance to metro stations, Arc de Triomphe, restaurants, parks, etc. the rooms are small (but they all are in Paris). They serve a nice looking breakfast for a small fee. - XXXXDelhi (6/5): Average hotel....much can be improved - Stayed for 4 nights in beginning of June with family. Location 8/10 – 5 minute walk from Arc de Triomphe. 10 minutes walk from champs elysees. Right above a Monop general store. But considerable walk to the eiffel or to the Concorde / Louvre which are better places to stay for tourists. Housekeeping 7/10 – Room cleaned properly. But coffee counter not replenished properly. The linen was not changed even once in 4 days. The bed sheet had stains. The hair dryer was not working. They provided a portable one when asked but there was no place to plug it in the bathroom. Room 7/10 – Stayed in a Prestige triple room. Really small with no space to move around and for luggage. Small square pillows much like cushions really. Small bathroom with movable glass separator for shower makes things a little messy when sharing. Checkin Checkout – Smooth with no hassels Breakfast spread was decent and service was good. One of the evenings, we were locked out of the hotel for good 15 minutes. The main entry door was locked and there was no front office staff to open it. Guy came after 15 minutes of ringing the bell with no apology but some excuse in french which we obviously did not understand. The hotel is good for solo traveller or cozy couples. Would not recommend it for families. Has a very small elevator which is a bonus for sending suitcases up and down. Also has airconditioning in rooms which works fine.

- Khalil (10/5): - When i fly to paris i like to stay near champs elysee avenue where i do all my shopping...This is by far the best hotel i stay in for the money in this area ...you have a grocery story " monoprix " right beside it open from 8 am to midnight,On victor hugo street you can see the " arc the triomphe" literally. 4 streets down you will be at the famous " champs elysees avenue" very friendly for tourist ( shopping stores like louis vuitton , souvenirs and restaurants are located).The eiffel tower is a good 20mn walk from the hotel. Breakfast is between 6am and 11 am...excellente buffet with french baguette , croissant and home made pastries.. The front desk people are very friendly and helpful especially Mr SAGNA...ask for him when you get there he is very well mannered, educated and friendly. They are having some small renovation on the first floor which didnt bother me at all. I will be definitely be bck ! Khalil

- Saad (10/5): - Hotel Location is excellent, super walkable to Champs, staff is super friendly, room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast is very good for the price, and again super friendly Victoria managing the buffet. The the only cons are the superior room is very small, the bathroom is very tight to the point it hard to sit on the toilet unless your a 90lb person, and the noise from adjacent rooms is not very well isolated. Overall this hotel is a rare Gem in the area and great choice for travelers. Bonus is supermaket is on street level so u can stuck up on essentials without any efforts.
- robr658 (10/5): Fantastic 5 nights stay at Hotel du Bois - We booked at short notice. The hotel is situated in a great location for some major landmarks and excellent metro links for the city only a short walk away. Everything at the hotel was excellent from the moment we checked in. All staff were very friendly professional and courteous. The front desk staff were very helpful and nothing too much trouble. The rooms were spotlessly clean big thank you to housekeeping. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice to choose from. Service here was excellent and the quality of the food was very good and delicious, although my waistline was put under severe strain due to the many culinary delights on offer 😆. Breakfast was till 10.45 am which was good if you wanted a late morning. Room comfort was good and despite being in the city outside noise was kept to a minimum, bed was very comfortable and was able to get a very good sleep. It's a city centre hotel so the rooms are not going to be huge although there was plenty of wardrobe space lots of electric sockets and a full-size mirror in the room and a TV with English channels, which in a lot of independent city hotels is not always the case, free in-room safe also very useful. For a city centre hotel, this is one of the better ones I have stayed in. Great service and room comfort, excellent breakfast. The hotel has character and charm you won't find in chain hotels and I had a wonderful five night's stay.

Depending on room location, you may be disturbed by the noise of the local grocery shop restocking in the early hours of the morning, but this shop is also extremely handy for any food or drink to may want. I would highly recommend this hotel from my 7-day stay there.

They really went out of their way to be useful. Downsides are the small rooms (but not atypical for Europe) and the pretty mediocre breakfast (not worth the 15 Euro per person charge at all - go to the Franprix up the street for much cheaper and better options)..
- Cathcoo (10/5): Fab holidsy 5 star stay - We recently holidayed in Paris at the Hotel du Bois. We stayed from the 7th to the 15th we took our granddaughter who said the holiday was amazing. We even managed to enjoy their Fabulous National holiday. The hotel du bois is classed as a 3 star hotel but the location is great it’s a short walk to every where ie the Arc de triomphe, etc. But what made trip really special was the 5 star staff at thE hotel, zahir and all the reception staff were kind and helpful and patient and could do enough for us. Munya and all the kitchen staff who did our breakfast were fabulous. Munya with her genuinely welcoming smile was a joy and we cannot thank the staff enough. Do yourself a favour and give this hotel a go. We Had a nice triple room that had everything we needed . We will be visiting again for sure Catherine, Stephen and Lucy room 114.

He got me a car to the airport when there were none available and walked with me and a heavy bag for 2 long blocks to where the car was as the street was blocked off outside the hotel. The staff was accommodating beyond expectation (Sagna, Zahir, Fittori) - and went out of their way to ensure that my wife's first trip to Paris was memorable. The location to the sights can't be beat and the cost is not unreasonable. We will definitely be back.

Breakfast added to the price is simple but saves time in the early morning for a busy traveller. The street by the hotel is one way. A trash truck blocked my uber around 6:40am till the next intersection, leading to a $13 time surcharge.
- Nastassia (4/5): Ripoff - We booked a prestige TRIPLE room and got a classic Double room with a squeezed in small bed. It was ridiculous and they denied giving us a refund saying they don’t have any other free rooms and they did what they could. We could have paid $100 less for this. Getting to the hotel is inconvenient, especially if you have a child.

The staff is very pleasant and goes the extra mile to make sure you are pleased with your stay. An added bonus is a grocery store (Monop) just down stairs. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Paris.

- Marc (10/5): Very Nice Hotel for Location, Service and Quality - We had 3 guests in the hotel as part of a family trip to Paris. It was very well located for walking to the subway at either Victor Hugo or Charles de Gaulle—Etoile. As an aside, subway rides are a buy at less than 1/2 the rates of an Uber ride for 3 riders, and even better with fewer riders. A book of 10 tickets costs less than 15 Euros. There is a market right under the hotel called MonoP’— great salads, fruits, and prepackaged meals, as well as odds and ends. There is a fabulous bakery called Madison Julambre very near Ru De Dome— croissants, coffees (actually Nespresso pods) quiches and pastries that were all very reasonable. There was a Thai buffet type restaurant also on the same street as the hotel on Rue Du Dome that looked very promising but we did not actually eat there. Finally, a laundry was a block away from the hotel. English was spoken well enough to translate whatever we needed to accomplish. While the rooms can accommodate 3 beds, 2 beds would probably be best for the size of the rooms. The price of the hotel seemed very fair and reasonable for the quality, location and service. We stayed a total of 6 nights.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Nice Location..Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées - Nice location, close to Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées..lots of Public Transport options to travel the city...Paris is more expensive than I thought... A large beer is between 12 -15 Euros!!... The Hotel room was very small.. the toilet was so close to the hand basin so you cannot sit without hitting your knees on the Hand Basin. Breakfast is ok.. would be better if ONE of the Assistant was more polite and friendly.. every time you asked her for anything it was either a grump or expressionless face.. never a thank you, she'd start to clean up the table whilst your in the middle of your breakfast.. would help if she asked if we've finished... the other 2 Breakfast assistants were much better and polite but they were only there for the last 2 days of our stay. There is a supermarket nearby which has great selection of fresh fruits and ready meals... the reception were very helpful in warming food for us in the evening, especially the older Tunisian guy.

Small rooms without a lot of space for big bags or big people..very typical of central Euro cities. Micro-bathroom and shower- I’m not fat and kept turning the water off when I turned around... Other than those caveats I highly recommend!
