Guest Reviews
- gw991 (10/5): Nothing fancy, but good location and helpful staff - Nothing fancy, but the staff were very kind. One lady in particular was super helpful in assisting me with booking a reservation at a highly recommended nearby restaurant, Chez Gabriel. The food there is fantastic!
- denisewD7329ZL (10/5): Lovely hotel - Great hotel and location for our recent trip to Paris. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was of good quality and the hotel was very clean
- Amy (10/5): - Great location! The arch was steps away and the walk to the Eiffel Tower was just over half hour. Very close to train station and subway making it easy to get in and out of town. The train from the airport was easy to navigate to here. Room was clean and staff were great! We would stay again!
- Mark (10/5): - The hotel is spotelss and very convenient for the Metro (Argentine) and walking around the Etoile area. The staff are very kind and helpful. The only issue with the facilities is the towels, which need to be changed. Overall, it is a superb hotel and we will stay again.
- claudia (10/5): - Great service and very clean place !!!
- Annaliese (10/5): Perfect 2 night stay - A short 2 night stay but perfect room for me and my daughter as a place to get our heads down at night as we were barely in the hotel. Staff at the desk really friendly and rooms were clean and comfortable. Was also able to leave our luggage safely before getting our eurostar back later in the day. Would definitely consider staying here again if we return to Paris
- emzx1996 (10/5): Great location, great hotel - Loved this hotel, location was fantastic right beside the arc du triomphe and very handy for the metro! Room was basic but thats all you need when you are out all day in Paris! Hotel staff very friendly and did anything/everything for us. Air conditioning was great, bathroom very clean. Only complaint would be the bed is too hard but that is preference! We stayed in room 108 which was surprisingly a good size considering other hotels we have stayed in Paris before and was not on the main street which was great! For a great price, location, staff were great cant complain! I would come back! Merci!
- Sophia (8/5): - great location to the sights
- O3141UAelenar (10/5): Great value for money at prime location by the Arc du Triomphe. - A cozy small hotel with great beds, friendly staff and good looking breakfast area. Great beds. Chilled wine, soda and water at reception. Loved it.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location, small rooms, but clean and well kept. Air conditioning worked well and low noise level. Breakfast has limited variety and a very tight space. Difficult to communicate with restaurant staff and ordering paid extra items can be challenging. Elevator stopped working at check out making it challenging to bring the heavy suitcases down several floors.
- neil (10/5): - Excellent
- Mauricio (8/5): - Confort at room
- Ahmed (6/5): - Breakfast is very poor
- Anthony (10/5): - Did not eat at Hotel otherwise all good.
- Ken (8/5): - New renovated
- DALE (8/5): - Clean and simple in a good location
- Lisa (8/5): - Close to major attractions.
- M5803WPveronicas (10/5): - This is my second stay at this hotel over the past few years, and it continues to impress. I left a 5-star review on Google Maps after my first visit, and since I can't post another there, I'm sharing my thoughts here on TripAdvisor. This hotel is so much more than its 3-star rating suggests. The service is consistently excellent, and the location is unbeatable. Some of the best food spots in Paris are just around the corner... we discovered an amazing boulangerie (The French Bastard) and a fantastic Italian pizzeria (Ciro e i Suoi Fratelli), along with plenty of traditional French and international options nearby. The rooms have been renovated since 2023 and are spotlessly clean, with fully functioning air conditioning. The mattress is incredibly comfortable, genuinely the best sleep I’ve had away from home. If your room doesn't already have a kettle or iron, you can request them easily from the front desk. The service is friendly, responsive, and professional. This place never disappoints. I’m already looking forward to my next stay!
- Wendy (8/5): - The hotel room is very small, otherwise I will give it 5 stars. It is in a very good location. One minutes walking to subway station, there are lots dinning options on the back street of the hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Avoid this hotel! - Honestly you are better off savings your money somewhere else. The room they gave us was small, dirty, smelt bad, and on the floor the lights weren’t on. So imagine landing at 11:30 going to the hotel and the floor was dark. Also the key is a literal manual key that you have to fidget with the door to get it to unlock. The area is meh. Not really anything Paris like unless you walk to the arc.
- Kent (10/5): - Great location and very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Clean and comfortable rooms.
- jane (10/5): - Location is excellent and room is large and well equipped
- Sahir (10/5): - Very good location and nice area. Easy to reach metro
- Adrian (10/5): - Nice place
- Edward (10/5): - Perfect location by the arch de triumph, steps from the nearest subway station. Clean comfortable room. Good value European style breakfast.
- Stacy (10/5): - A fantastic midrange hotel in an ideal location not far from the Arc de Triomphe. It’s not fancy but it’s clean, well managed, and in a charming neighborhood. The staff are absolutely wonderful! I enjoyed this hotel so much, I’ve already booked another stay. Highly recommended!
- Crystine (10/5): - Fantastic hotel and perfect location on a small quiet street – it’s just a few steps from Argentine station and less than a five minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe which makes navigation easy. Room was clean and comfortable, very safe, and the staff is incredibly friendly.
I can’t wait to visit Paris again, and when I do I will 100% be rebooking at l’Hôtel Fertel Etoile! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality :)
- peter (4/5): - Dark - old
- Katy (10/5): - This was a wonderful stay for me. I liked being close to the metro, to dining options. The staff were welcoming and helpful. It was a clean hotel with all that I needed.
- Luis (8/5): - Great location, everything was close by and only a few steps from the subway (Metro). Room was big enough to have a place to lay your head. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly
- julia (10/5): - The location and staff were great.
- Stephen (10/5): - Central location and helpful staff
- Liam (8/5): - Close enough to walk to the main parts of Paris, far enough that you can sleep soundly.
- Josephine (8/5): - Nice location with very helpful staff. So much to see n get around you.
- sylvia (10/5): - Very attentive hotel breakfast was amazing. I like the 24 hrs staff. Walking to the arc, and the Eiffel Tower location is key in Paris. I will definitely book again.
- Theresa (8/5): - It was a hood base and was walkable.
- Bill (6/5): - Nice size room, very clean and an easy walk to the Arc De Triomphe and a nice, easy 30mins walk to the Eiffel Tower. The bed was not comfortable (too firm), but the location was good.
- Deborah (10/5): Wonderful hotel - My husband and I had a lovely stay here while visiting Paris. Communication with the hotel was wonderful- I had several questions prior to arrving, difficulty with my credit card going through, and an unexpected late arrival. The staff was prompt and thorough getting back to me and helping me solve my issues. The room was comfortable, the front desk staff very friednly and accomodating, and the breakfast was woonderful. I loved the location right near a Metro stop but still in a quiet street.
- jaime (10/5): - The hotel is very close of the Metro station and the Arch of Triumph is a walking distance from the hotel.
- SEUNG jOO (8/5): - The place is really quite. I can not hear hardly any noises and the hotel is very close to the downtown so that
many hot spots for the tourist is in working distance.
Even thoug your destination can not be reached on foor,
a subway station is just around coner. Only one thing that I am not satisfied is that the hotel is not spacious.
- Melanie (10/5): - Staff were very friendly and helpful
- Verified traveler (6/5): Decent stay - Good hotel but checkin was a bad experience because the guy checking me in sent me to the wrong room and didn’t even care. Definitely something not to deal with after 10 hour flight. Breakfast was ok expected a lot more
- Linlin (6/5): - It’s old, the bathroom is not good, watering floor all the time and the towers are limited and poor quality. Location is good though, nice area to have dining around.
- Dulce (8/5): - The staff is so welcoming, professional a d caring.
- Dana Abigail (10/5): - This location was clean and comfortable and 2 minutes away from the metro allowing access all over Paris.
- B1183KVlucym (10/5): Perfect place to stay with friends to discover Paris! - This hotel provided the perfect base for our Paris mini break with friends this weekend. It is very well situated at just 2 mins walk from the Argentine metro stop and only 5 mins to the stunning Arc de Triomphe. The reception and restaurant staff were all friendly and welcoming. Our room was ample size and very clean, and it was lovely to have the towels changed daily. Our rooms were on the ground floor and were very quiet. We enjoyed the self service breakfast which was a good range of continental breakfast options. We all said we will definitely return to the hotel when we're in Paris next.
- Lucy (10/5): - Perfect base for our mini break this weekend. Close to the Arc de Triomphe and métro station. Clean, comfortable room. Friendly welcoming staff. Plenty of food available at the breakfast buffet.
- David (10/5): Great place near Etoile - Excellent all around. The only thing I could wish for would be a wider choice of breakfast items.
- Creslyn (10/5): - Close to Arc de Triomphe
- Elizabeth (10/5): - The location was fantastic - about 2 minutes walk away from Argentine metro station which meant quick and easy transport around the city. I also loved how close the hotel was to the Arc de Triomphe as the sight of it never fails to make me smile. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and, travelling as on my own as a woman, I felt safe at all times during my visit.
- Valeria (10/5): - Great location and great staff. Perfect!
- Paul Chang-Su (10/5): - Very convenient location
- Camelia (10/5): Great hotel close to Arc de Triomphe. - Great hotel very close to Arc de Triomphe. The room was cozy, bed and bedsheets very comfortable and the heat worked really well while was also very quiet. Really enjoyed my stay there.
- John (4/5): - This is a property that is rundown, pictures and reviews are deceiving
- Bruce (10/5): Arch de Triomphe - Staff at reception always welcoming and helpful. Great tour guides. Great location
- Lana (10/5): - Very nice property. We only stayed 2 nights but it was perfect. Very close to the Arc de Triomphe. We walked to the Eiffel tower, the louvre, and the seine river from the hotel. We also took a taxi to Versailles. There is a nice view from the terrace and the windows and doors are sound proof. Very clean.
- Joshua (10/5): - Really nice, quaint hotel in a great location!
- Sara (10/5): - I liked that you were given a key to your room and double locked. Felt a safe area with a few other hotels around. Excellent area for tourist areas in walking distance and metro on your door step.
- Nancy (8/5): - We stayed for a couple of night. the area has everything you need, like bakery shop, restaurant, grocery store etc. Unfortunately, we did not have much time to explore around. BTW, it's only a few minutes walk to Champs Elyse. We are happy with the hotel but just to mention it's a bit pricy.
- Lisa (8/5): - Perfect location. Easy to use the local transportation. Staff were very helpful. Beds and pillows were not that comfortable. But all and all a very nice hotel.
- Harlan (10/5): - A beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of town!! Friendly staff and helpful!!
- Joshua (8/5): - While a bit dated in some ways, the hotel is in a great spot when it comes to access and location. A short walk takes you right to the Arc de Triomphe and options for riding the Paris Metro. Several options for dining nearby, too. One weird thing: you have to turn in your room key when you go out, and they don't even check your ID when you come back and ask for your key. No great views from the balcony, but for the price it's not a bad option at all when staying in Paris.
- RICHARD (8/5): - actual door keys
i asked for a queen bed and i had 2 singles
- Larry (10/5): - Great location, just a few blocks from the Arc de Triomphe. Staff was gracious. They put out a very nice breakfast buffet. All kinds of restaurants & shopping in a very walkable area, with a metro station a block from the hotel. Room was not huge, but suited our needs well.
- Marcelo (8/5): Good - Well located, very easy to walk around. The rooms were clean and small. I also liked the breakfast. The staff were friendly as well.
- Chantale (10/5): Agréable séjour - Les chambres sont très bien, hôtel bien situé à deux pas d’une station de métro.
- Mohammed Raifath (10/5): - Love the hospitality and amenities
- Kristan (8/5): - Great central location, clean property and friendly staff. The bed was very small and quite hard but all the walking around Paris tired us out enough that we could still sleep despite the hard mattress.
- Angela (10/5): Perfect Hotel for a Solo Traveler - Staff was extremely friendly and was able to help in English. Hotel is clean & bed is very firm. Nice window that opens to courtyard to let in fresh air but is not noisy. I slept with the window open each night & enjoyed it. I do not believe the hotel has AC so be mindful if you have issues with that. The hotel is very well located: 5 minutes from the Arc de Triomphe and 10 munute walk to the RER C & M lines (these will take you direct to Eiffel Tower or Palais Royale/Louvre). I highly recommend as it very reasonably priced for the great location.
- Narelle (10/5): - Great place to stay. Tucked in a side street away from the hustle and bustle but just around the corner to some of the main attractions. Plenty of dining options available and shopping strip just around the corner. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.
- Margie (10/5): - This was a great location. The hotel is in a quiet area and we really love staying there. We would stay there again.
- DonnaCrighton (8/5): Great place to stay in Paris with only one small issue - Lovely hotel - clean and tidy with friendly and helpful reception staff. Great location - 5 mins walk from Arc De Triomphe and close to metros. Had breakfast once and it was fine. Previous reports of uncomfortable beds / pillows was concerning but I found it very comfortable. Would have made this place 5 stars if it weren't for the housekeeper leaving our room door unlocked (they use a key system not swipe) after cleaning every day. The reception team advised they would discuss it with them but it made no difference. The room did have a safe to place valuables but was still worrying that the room door was unlocked when we weren't in. But saying that, I would still recommend this place as clean and location ideal.
- Jude (8/5): - The property is old but well maintained. The staff were helpful and accommodating
- Ashley (10/5): - Great location and super friendly
- Douglas (10/5): - This hotel provided a spacious double room. Room was clean and well maintIned. Great value for location close to the Champs Élysées .
- Ryan (8/5): - I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Fertel Etoile. A quiet, comfortable and clean hotel. It is located conveniently near multiple metro stations, which provides access to all our Paris’ sites in no time. Sites like the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées are a short walk away and there are plenty of food options in the area. I would highly recommend staying here.
- Yumiko (10/5): - Just a few minutes away from metro which is very convenient. No electric kettle in the room but I was able to borrow it during my stay so no problem. Staffs are very friendly. I would definitely stay there again next time!
- Cristiane (8/5): - Good
- Mark (10/5): - Room was small but clean. Very close to metro station. Easy to get anywhere. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- Claudia (10/5): - Excellent beds, very quiet despite being near very busy roads. Convenient location close to public transport and famous landmarks. Good value, little hidden gem
- Sallyrossjackson (10/5): Friendly, well located French hotel with character - The hotel is ideally located to walk into the city, catch a train, eat out, sightsee. The reception team are welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is a bonus. Hotel feels French with character, clean and well serviced. Suitable for all ages.
- Prodel (10/5): - just a few steps of the metro, with supermarket and restaurants nearby.
- Cindy (10/5): - Location was very convenient a short walk to the train station. Staff is friendly and a good breakfast selection. All in all we had a lovely stay and would recommend.
- Michelle (10/5): - This property was conveniently situated near many dining options and public transportation. Our room was small, but comfortable, and it was very well-maintained. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I would happily stay here again in the future.
- Marianela (10/5): - The location is perfect and great service staff
- S4029MNwendym (10/5): Amazing place! - This hotel makes you feel so welcome, very friendly, Breakfast staff so lovely, just what makes a perfect holiday resting place for busy days exploring beautiful Paris, Thank you everyone, made our holiday!! We would return to this hotel to explore more of this wonderful City !
- Andrew (10/5): Good hotel near the arc - Good hotel near the arc and the metro. Note, the breakfast is pretty meh so def plan to eat breakfast elsewhere(basically some croissants and deli meats, no eggs, no sausage)
- Briar (6/5): - Run down but in a good location
- Sree (10/5): - Very convenient location but very quiet. Not a fancy place but great if you are a tourist and want a good sleep. The train station is a quick 1 minute walk.
- Barry (8/5): - Clean, well run and excellent location. The facilities were modest but a good value for the price.
- 293meis (2/5): Not worth the money. - This place was dumpy. The furnishings were old and worn. The pillows were lumpy and smelled funny. The room smelled odd. And the front desk was not very helpful. I would not recommend this place but I guess you get what you pay for. I would rather spend a little more to sleep more comfortably.
- Emily (10/5): - A great place to stay in center of Paris! Walking distance to the arc de triomphe, metro lines connecting the city and shops. Room with the balcony was cute and clean!!
- Rachael (10/5): - Great location, close to metro stops, many restaurants. Friendly staff.
- Willis (8/5): - Great hotel
- Robin (10/5): - I only stayed 1 night, but the front desk staff were lovely & very helpful. The room was clean & bathroom was newly renovated. Location was convenient & walkable to where I needed to go! It was a great value for the area.
- MANUEL (10/5): - It was very close to the metro. The room is very simple, it was clean and the staff was very polite
- Rhonda (8/5): - Wonderful location near the ‘Argentine’ Metro line. Close to markets & bakery. Easy walk to Arc d’ Triumph. Great host. Despite a water leak in off the bathroom, they showed great concern & attempted to fix the problem.
- Pavel (10/5): - Great accommodation for short stay in middle of Paris.Would book again!
- Benjamin (10/5): - The hotel is in a good location with the main metro lines and Arc De Triomphe within walking distance.
They were in the process of revamping the rooms for Paris Olympics so there was construction during the day.
The breakfast was nice with Croissants, cold meats, cheese, toasts spreads and basic coffee.
The room was a good size, had everything we needed and was nice and quiet during the night.
- NeilC2607 (8/5): great location and excellent staff - Reception:
Lady on reception was very helpful. We left our bags at the hotel prior to checkin and explored the area.
Other staff during the day and night were friendly and helpful. It’s a great idea to leave the room key and tag at reception upon each departure from the hotel, meaning there is no worries about a bulky key or loosing it.
Room / facilities:
Room number 502 is on the 5th floor and is very clean and a good size for Paris.
Semi Self control air conditioning which has heat/cool controlled centrally, but fan speed and temp controlled be me. There is a window that opens to allow outside air in.
The room has two firm single beds with relatively flat firm pillows, work desk, hanging cupboard, safe, large flat screen TV, and bath room with in tub shower.
There is no fridge, no tea or coffee facilities.
Laundry:
No coin Self service coin laundry on site but there is a coin operated laundry, 3 streets over with multiple washers and dryers.
I dont believe there is any Parking at the hotel and street parking is payable but this is time limited and hard to find.
Wifi:
Complementary and very good speed. A Password is required.
Breakfast:
Available for additional cost of €13. This consisted of pastries, 3x cereals, breads and toaster, various cheeses, slices meat, 2x juice, whole fruit, tea and coffee. Not a massive selection, but certainly sufficient to start the day.
Conclusion:
Excellent comfortable hotel in the 17 District of Paris for access to the Arc De Triomphe, Ave Champs- Elysees.
Letdowns:
Firm Pillows.
Location / Nearby:
Arc De Triomphe, Ave Champs-Elysses, Shops, restaurants, supermarkets, Charles De Gaulle Etoile metro station, Argentine metro station.
Recommendations:
As there is some street noise until early hours of the morning, a rear courtyard room may be quieter.
