- Lisa (6/5): - Good value for dollar. Everything was basic but clean. Location is excellent. Walking distance to Victoria station (coach, Gatwick express train and tube). If you have mobility issues this hotel is not for you as there are no lifts and the breakfast area is down a flight of stairs. Our only complaint, there was no hot water for our morning shower.

He also flagged a taxi for me, very helpful. It is an older hotel so all was good, buy a new rug going up the stairs would be good.

- Heidi (8/5): Great little spot - Great little spot in the middle of London. Very nice staff, clean rooms, new clean bathroom. The beds where a little hard and the room was small, but we where only there to sleep in the night so it didnt really matter. We didnt expect this but everyday when we had been out and about, the room had been cleaned and the beds made. The breakfast where there but nothing to brag about, and the room to eat it where very tiny and we had to wait until there was room for us to come in and eat đ But all in all we had a great time there and would gladly come again (but would eat breakfast out)

- Heather (10/5): Great stay! - This is definitely our go-to hotel in London. It is a budget-friendly place with a perfect location: centrally located and a five minute walk from Victoria Station. The room was small, but clean and modern. The front desk is open 24 hours and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included with our room and the staff are very efficient and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again!

- Livia (2/5): Terrible room for a lot of money - We had to climb up five flights of stairs to our room, which had no air conditioning and was a 10 x 10 room without a toilet. We had a shared toilet in the hallway. The stairways were not safe overall the hotel was not worth anywhere close to what we paid for it
- Elizabeth (8/5): What you get for the moneh - Room was serviceable and what youâd expect for the money. Gentleman at front desk was great and made wonderful recommendations for local restaurants. The âcontinental breakfastâ was extremely disappointing. Stale cereal or one slice of toast per person and some warm yogurt. No fruit or anything else.

- Nathan (8/5): Large family room with great location - I liked the large family room- a double bed and 3 single beds. It's hard to find something for a family traveling with 3 kids. Only problem was that the room smelled when we arrived. Breakfast was basic, but good: toasted white bread, jam, cereal, milk, tea, coffee, yoghurt. Location is great.

- Tommy (2/5): - We stayed in room #23. The window only opens about 6 inches and there is no air conditioning. All we had was a small fan. It had to be about 100 degrees in the room. The temperature was cooler outside the hotel. We did not sleep either night. We are from Miami and can handle the heat but this was really bad. Possibly a safety issue for somebody with health issues. The hotel needs to disclose this on their website that they do not have air conditioning.

- Dianne (6/5): - Convenient location and surprisingly quiet! Room clean, but at the very top of the building with no lift. The blurb does point out "no lift". But it was horribly stuffy and hot, even with tbe fan going throughout the night. The man who checked us in was helpful and friendly. This is in contrast to the staff serving breakfast the following morning. There were several problems with the breakfast: 1 Absolutely no concession for gluten free guests. Nothing. 2 No fresh or tinned fruit to eat INSTEAD of glutinous bread. 3 No choice of toast types, just white. When I queried and asked for brown bread the reply was, "we only have white." So we both ended up with yoghurt and coffee for breakfast, and left the four slices of white toast on the table. Moral of the story: if you have dietary needs don't thiink youâll be eating breakfast there.
- Jorge (2/5): - Unfortunately my mother died and had to interrupt my stay from 4 to 1 day and the manager didnât approve my refund even after offering price of death, besides that, the room was old, stained carpets, breakfast was a toast or cereal, not really breakfast, the only plus was the location, and the staff , other than that do yourself a favor an pay more for a better place where you are not jus one number but a person that might have a last minute death in the family to have some consideration for.

- Siladitya (8/5): Short and quick stay - Value for money. Overall condition of the hotel was ok but there is room for improvement w.r.t cleanliness and furniture. Reception staff was quick and nice. 10 mins walk to Victoria bus/train station.
- Ashley (8/5): - Everyone at the Dover was wonderful and quite helpful. The rooms are very old and if you are picky about quality of beds/ carpets/ tile- this is not the place for you. However the cleaning of the staff is wonderful, towels/ sheets all very nice. We did not wake up in time for breakfast. The hotel is in a great location which was why we picked it and compared to the prices of other hotels it is reasonable. We were happy! There is a safe you can use and they let you store luggage before and after your reservation time! All in all I would recommend with the caveat of the old and worn interior.

The bedroom was also clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was only cerial and toast, but it was something and saved me the time and extra money to look for one elsewhere. Overall, nice hotel for the money and the location!

- Kenneth (6/5): - The staff at this hotel were amazing. They were friendly and so helpful, BUT this hotel is dated and the twin room I was in was very small, as in I just had a few feet on one side of the bed. The location was good and I felt safe and was walkable to the sites I wanted to visti.

- Eli (2/5): - The breakfast is extremely basic and low quality. Do start your day with the coffee at this place. The housekeeping is very poorly done. They don't even empty the trash bins in the room. They didn't even clean the toilet once during our 5-day stay. They shot down the heating so if you feel cold you have to ask the receptionist to turn it on and then you can control it in your room. The rooms are very small and if you have luggage then you will be in trouble. If you can pay slightly more better to go for other options in the neighborhood. My only motivation to book this room was the location and I was at the hotel only for sleeping.

- ROBERT (8/5): Simple Budget Friendly - does the important stuff - This is a simple budget friendly hotel. I paid GBP70 for a one night stay. The room was small but very clean, the shower was hot, the bed was comfy and the room was a comfortable temperature. I did not need a desk to work at so that was not an issue. For a one night crash over it was more than adequate. Breakfast was very very simple. Just toast and jam, coffee and juice from concentrate. But given a lot of hotels at this price point would not include anything its was welcome and saved me feeling starving hungry as I walked out the door. There was a night manager on overnight so my extremely late check in was accommodated and he was polite and friendly. Check out was very rapid. All in all very satisfied for what it is. An amazing location with easy access to the nearby Victoria station. No frills but the basics done well.

I reported them to the fire marshal because thereâs a basement room where the only way out is through a very, very long hallway that includes the exit and they should never book anybody down. There is a terrible place and we left and they would not give us a refund

- Louise (4/5): Great location but not one weâd book again - The reception staff were very friendly, but the hotel is extremely basic for the cost. Our room smelt very peculiar and when we went to breakfast in the morning, no one came to meet us so we just left. I am sure if we had found the staff they would have served us with a smile, but it didnât feel that comfortable. Great if you want a cheap stay in a great location, but not one we would stay at again.

We were in room 16 so on the highest floor and the steps were not bad at all, we had backpacks so it was easy. We were able to check in early for our two night stay and room was cleaned in the morning and had fresh towels for the second night. TV was small but your not in your room much so its not a big deal. Fan was a great touch for air circulation. Room was small but expected and was sufficient for our needs. LOVED the location near Victoria station, one train directly to Gatwick airport from here. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, highly recommend!

- Trina (6/5): - The rooms were very small, bathroom had been renovated but when you sat on toilet you hit the toilet roll holder. Breakfast was a basic continental, if you didnât time it right you had to queue for a table. Did not have any gluten free, or lactose free options was told you had to order at time of booking, although that was not mentioned when booking. It was reasonable cheap for this area and thatâs all you got.

- Chong Kwee, Sherry (8/5): - Good simple breakfast with fantastic coffee, conveniently located đ, big local Sainsburyâs supermarket nearby, nice hotel staffs; however sadly they donât provide bar soap every day so need to ask and donât really think they change bedsheets everyday only tidy up thatâs all, very narrow dangerous stairs for luggage carrying, very thin walls & continuous floor creaking late into night which is not suitable for light sleepers, not much tv channels esp. BPL matches, overall good room size for average Asians size, I definitely will return again in future đ

- Denise (8/5): - It was a very small room but we knew that going in however it was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a continental type including toast, cereal, yogurt, coffees, tea and juices which was fine with us. We did find the room warm but were able to cool it off using the fan and opening the window in the evening as it was September and so not really hot during evening. The decor is definitely dated including the carpets. You do hear noise from other rooms but not an ongoing issue for us. The location was excellent. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see and it is close to Victoria station for all transportation.

Location better, near Victoria station & restaurants.

Very good overall, I have booked a return stay. Easy walking distance to Victoria Train & Bus Station and I even walked back on different days from Buckingham Palace and today from Westminster Abbey.

Be advised no elevators, no problem for us. Breakfast was included only cereal, juice, coffee and toast. I loved the early check in without extra payment. I really appreciate it because we came so tired from New York. We really need the early check in. Room was available at 12pm.
- Ronald (10/5): - This is an older budget friendly hotel, rooms are quite small but location is excellent! Our room had new carpet and bed was very comfortable! Room was very clean and fixtures in bathroom looked new. Breakfast was simple but satisfying; an automatic coffee machine that offered cappuccino, latte, espresso, hot chocolate, and black coffee, plus hot water for tea. Four kinds of cereal, milk, juices, an assortment of jams, marmalade and Nutella, toast, yoghurt. Staff very friendly. Our room was downstairs so carrying heavy suitcases down narrow steps might pose a problem for some people. Weâd stay here again on a future trip to London. On their business card it says it will save you money to book directly through the hotel versus third party but I canât confirm this having booked our stay through Expedia.

- ricardo (8/5): - Its a typical European rental. The room is small. Maybe 2 feet of area around a full size bed. Its an old property. Staff was extremely attentive. Very quiet. We felt safe.
