• Robert (8/5): - Le charme de l'hôtel Les fenêtres donnant directement vers les cuisines d'un établissement public (déversement des bouteilles vides le matin à 6 heures sous les fenêtres). Le réveil fût brutal et le bruit incessant.
• Janet (9/5): I loved it. It really felt like a little while home. - I had a lovely clean room with views over the Amstel. It was just right for a solo, female traveller. Numerous boats stopped at the dancing house so their passengers could take photos and wave. It was very special. I really liked everything but the building is 400 years old and showing it. The stairs are steep but don’t let that put you off. If you are an inflexible traveller with lots of luggage and want a predictable, sanitised, could be anywhere hotel this is not for you
• Moran (7/5): Best location, if you are into historical and old style - Great location, next to tram stations and walking distance to Dam, shopping streets. This is a small hotel in historic dancing building. The building is quite old but it had its magic. We stayed 4 people is the big quadruple room featuring a big living room, a kitchenette with large minibar, with extra space, and the bed were separated into 2 spaces. Stuff extra friendly. Since the building is old, it has very steep stairs to the basement level, a bit difficult with big suitcases but we managed. The toilets are using an electric pump so not recommended to throw the toilet paper inside. Also one bed at the basement level was just close to the window on the street level and very noisy from the street.

• Jane (8/5): Great location, clean friendly hotel - let down by lack of any kind of view from the window. - The only disappointment was the view - I booked it thinking I'd have a canal view but my actual view were other peoples windows so had to keep the curtains closed. The room itself was good. Staff really welcoming. Good location. The view - it was pretty noisy at night with people in the bar next door and building work starting before 9am

• Jelizaveta Lavrane (8/5): - The location is perfect- few minutes from main tram line to go to the central station, 5 min away from the supermarket, and close to everything else if you want to walk it. Underground stations close too. The staff was helpful and very friendly. It was quite noisy in the evenings, past 10pm. And that noise was not coming from outside, but inside of the building - it's old, and you can hear people stamping around on the stairs. In all honesty, noone told us at check-in to be quiet, so we could be noisy too. But if you are easily awaken in the night, it will affect you.

• Claudine (9/5): Staff was friendly and very helpful with recommendations and letting us store luggage our last day while we enjoyed the - Beautiful historic property in an amazing central location with restaurants and bars and shopping right out the door. And right on the canal. The stairs are insanely steep and narrow not even a normal foot width. Not uncommon in a property this age. But difficult with luggage and no lift.

Nous les avions laissé en consigne le jour du départ et nous avons failli louper notre train car il n y avait personne à l accueil a 12h30 pour les récupérer. Attention : cet hôtel ne sert pas de petits déjeuners ! Ce qui vous oblige à sortir et trouver un café AD hoc pour en prendre un.

Stairs were short so very dangerous for children and seniors with luggage. The street was always dirty and noisy. No common areas. Front door area was dangerous with stairs. Heard upstairs people walking and talking all the time.

• Vasiliki (6/5): Not a family hotel - The location is very good, and the room is spacious. Beds are comfy. There were quite a few issues with the room. It’s not about the building being old—we were already aware of that and didn’t mind the lack of an elevator. The main problem is that it’s not mentioned anywhere that the family rooms are located downstairs, in a semi-basement. We were two families, and one of the rooms was significantly smaller, with a view facing an old backyard. The entire space had a musty, neglected feel. The windows are fitted with thick glass for security, but they create a rather claustrophobic atmosphere. I understand that accommodation in Amsterdam can be expensive, but this stay did not offer good value for money.

• Susana (4/5): Muy buen sitio. Mala experiencia con la limpieza - La ubicación, estaba cerca de todo La limpieza en general. Concretamente un día salimos por la mañana y al volver por la noche el equipo de limpieza había dejado la puerta abierta de la habitación, por suerte no faltaba nada, pero podría haber entrado cualquier otro huésped. Es un problema de seguridad muy grande. Además, no habían limpiado la habitación. Las camas tenían el edredón estirado por encima pero al levantarlo las sábanas estaban completamente sin hacer. El baño tampoco lo limpiaron

• Susan (5/5): - The location was close to everything. We were unable to flush any toilet paper down the toilet for the entire stay/ we had to keep put it into the garbage which really was not very sanitary / the stairs to our room were very narrow and dangerous and it was very loud at night!

• Florian (8/5): Toll gelegen, guter Preis, nur zu empfehlen! - Wir waren von Samstag bis Dienstag Anfang März da. Die Lage ist perfekt, 20 Minuten kann man zu Fuß Museen, Jordaan Viertel und Bahnhof erreichen. An der Ecke kann man eine Shopping Straße und viele Möglichkeiten zum Essen in der parallelen Straße und in der Rembrandtplein und in der Nähe. Wir haben auch einen Tipp vom Hotel für das Frühstück mit 10% Rabatt bekommen. Das Zimmer war groß und mit Blick auf dem Kanal. Wir haben gut geschlafen. Es war nicht laut, aber in März bleiben die Fenstern nachts zu! Das Bad war sauber und überhaupt nicht alt. Der Preis war echt gut für Amsterdam. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Nichts besonderes. Ja die Treppe ist steil, aber das ist typisch und wir fanden es gut genau deswegen.

Отличное месторасположение в самом центре, центральной части Амстердама, отличный вид с окна, а также само здание отеля это старинное здание которое постоянно фотографируют туристы так как здание имеет определённый наклон, всё очень понравилось. Единственное что несовсем понравилось это довольно слабый интернет и довольно маленький сан.узел. но это единственное к чему можно придратся.

• Jolanta (8/5): - Nachdem ein gebuchtes Hotel sich aus grauenvoll erwiesen hat, bin ich ins Hotel Amsterzicht geflüchtet, das mir beim Vorbeigehen positiv aufgefallen war. Das Personal (ausnahmslos alle!) war ausgesprochen nett und zuvorkommend. Sehr großes Zimmer, bequemes Bett, Bad in angemessener Größe, gute Dusche. Sehr sauber Tolle Lage Schönes altes Haus mit einem Eingang (inklusive Kronleuchter und sanfter Musik), der einen sofort willkommen heißt. Eine Extra-Erwähnung: Das Internet war zeitweise recht schwach und langsam, aber ein netter Mitarbeiter kam extra ins Hotel, um abhilfe zu schaffen. Leider ohne Erfolg, aber die Hilfsbereitschaft war vorbildlich. Da es ein altes Haus ist, sind die Fenster nicht gut isoliert. Am Abend / WoEnde wurde es doch ziemlih laut. Ohropax ist ratsam ;) Nicht negativ, sollte man aber wissen: das Haus hat die typischen schmalen, steilen Amsterdammer Treppen. Highheels lieber erst unten anziehen ;)

• Katrina Julia (5/5): Centralt men gammelt og slidt - Super centralt og meget venligt personale Gulvtæppe på gulvene og meget støvet i kanterne. Meget lydt når folk går på gangen. Sengene var ikke gode og dyner og hovedpuder meget dårlig kvalitet. Hovedpuderne var så høje at vi endte med at sove uden. Man kunne ikke have vinduet åbnet om natten fordi der var meget larm. Ingen faciliteter på stedet.

• Yalcin (6/5): I wish I paid slightly more to stay somewhere else - Location and the canal view were OK It’s an old Amsterdam building hence no elevator. This wasn’t told and carrying my luggage up and down from those narrow stairs was very difficult. Everything else was old as well. Beds were, I guess, 20 years old. The carpet had a strange smell. I guess they didn’t vacuum as well. I found grape seeds and stems everyday. Wifi was terrible also. I reminded them to replenish the coffee capsules twice but no chance.

• kym (5/5): We enjoyed Amsterdam and will b returning to visit the city soon - We just had a family room and ask for more tea bags as we had to share. Bathroom was smelly issue with drains. No plug for a bath. My worry is the deep step by the bed. i was travelling with my 82year old mum and was worried about the step as the carpet blended so i forgot and fell forward in the night. Just something to b mindful of. minimal items. deep step next to bed.

• Manuel (3/5): Nicht zu empfehlen. - Die Lage war sehr zentral in der Innenstadt. Wir bekamen ein Zimmer im Untergeschoss. Uns wurde dann zusätzlich mitgeteilt, dass Toilettenpapier nicht in der Toilette, sondern in einem Mülleimer neben der Toilette entsorgt werden soll. Das ist unzumutbar.

• Brunella (8/5): Ottima posizione, personale accogliente e camera pulita - La posizione è perfetta per girare il centro e l’hotel è raggiungibile sia a piedi che con la metro direttamente dalla stazione. La posizione centrale e vicina a piazza Rembrandt e a parecchi locali è comunque tranquilla e silenziosa. Avevamo il volo la sera e ci hanno tenuto il bagaglio tutto il giorno e il personale della reception è stato sempre molto gentile e pronto a darci consigli o indicazioni. L’ultimo giorno non ci hanno messo gli asciugamani per il viso ma solo i teli doccia, poco male, ma non abbiamo capito il perché 😅. Inoltre non avevamo chiesto di cambiarli (li avevamo lasciati appesi ai supporti e non in terra, come da indicazioni) ma solo che fosse rifatta la camera 🤷🏻‍♀️
