The room had a clawfoot bathtub with no shower. It is easy walking distance to Sacre Couer and Montmartre.

I loved the neighborhood & closeness to the Sacre Coeur, The Love Wall, Moulin Rouge, La Maison Rose, Shopping and great restaurants. MONMARTE is absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed the locals as well. I definitely will stay at this hotel again.

The room was pleasant but very small, not a major issue when you spend most of the day out and about but did mean it was cramped with luggage etc. Proximity to Gare du Nord was great and meant it was really convenient for leaving luggage on our last day. Once we'd worked out the Metro system it was a bit easier to get around as the walk into the main part of the city took around 45 mins.

Room was quirky in that it was small with en suite surrounded by glass so limited privacy in shower/WC. Washbasin in room is actually good. Small lift but nice original wood spiral staircase. Very close to Gare du Nord though not a particularly nice area. Quite close to the Pigalle.

I am petite and I barely could go up with my partner and I’d luggage in the elevator (partner had to go up by stairs) Location was a touch confusing as there are two Avalon named hotels in the area. The cosy which is what we booked looked much better than the other one by far.

• Caroline (10/5): Lovely comfortable hotel v close to Gare du Nord - A few minutes walk from Gare du Nord which is why I chose it. Small intimate hotel. V friendly helpful staff. Bedroom and bathroom newly refurbished and were very comfortable and clean. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby.
• Christopher (6/5): - The hotel took a security deposit against my card, despite paying in full. The deposit has still not been returned having checked out. They have sent me proof, but overall it leaves a bad impression. I won’t be returning for this reason.
• Gail (10/5): Avalon Cosy hotel - Amazing little hotel just a few minutes walk from gare du nord station. Staff were so polite and friendly and the room was fully stocked with toiletries, hairdryer and slippers. Also had a kettle with tea, coffee etc and a safe. You could also help yourself to hot drinks and sweets at the reception area. Our room was compact but beautifully decorated, the shower was powerful and hot and the bed was really comfortable. Luckily I had read a previous review and didn't confuse this hotel with the Avalon Hotel which is just round the corner. This will now be our go to hotel whenever we visit Paris
• lok yan p (8/5): A sweet hotel to stay in Paris - The location is perfect. Staff is friendly. The re-charge corner at lobby is marvellous. It provides bottled water, coffee, tea and snacks for this trip. The bed we had was half soft and half hard. You can choose which side to sleep on. The sad thing is they forgot to tidy our room during our two-night booking. Highly recommended. Would definitely be back.

Me and my friend did arrive early for check in but the staff was very helpful with leaving our bags with them while we explore the city. When we came back our luggage and bags were in the room. The whole room was beautiful with the balcony view of the city. 10/10 would recommend and would stay here again when I visit

• Ana (10/5): Great Stay! - Our room was small but very cozy and clean. I loved the decoration and the staff was very friendly. The only downside was the shower was very small so the water was leaking everywhere, making the bathroom very messy. Location was great for us as we needed to be close to Gare du Nord.
• Brandon (8/5): - Initially directed to Avalon, I was relieved to find my booking at Avalon Cozy around the corner. The Cozy reception was far more inviting and tidy than Avalon’s. Check-in was smooth, though note there’s a local tax to pay on arrival. Accessing the suite was exhausting. The lift was too small for two, so my partner took it with the suitcase, and I climbed six steep flights of stairs. Once inside, the room was clean, well-decorated, and comfortable. The bed was spotless, and though I worried about Paris's bed bug reputation, everything seemed new and hygienic. The "bathroom" had a deep, relaxing tub but an awkward shower setup. The angled ceiling made standing difficult, and water splashed everywhere due to the lack of a splash guard. Storage space was minimal, with a small hanging pole, a few shelves, and a suitcase stand. The tiny desk and sink offered limited space, which felt impractical for organizing belongings or toiletries. The area around the hotel felt a little rough, but it wasn’t a major concern for us. While the room’s cleanliness and decor impressed me, the limited storage, shower issues, and difficult access detracted from the experience.

• Brandon (6/5): - The room was decent. The stay was averge could have been better if the staff was more accommodating and fulfilled their promises made. *For context*. Me and my girlfriend ended up not liking the design of the tub in the room. We decided to go to front desk to see if we can change the room. Only room that was available was a downgrade which they offered us a refund in the difference in room prices. Unfortunately after making the room switch no such refund was granted. The amount that was supposed to be refuned wasnt anything life changing but the lack of trust worthiness from the staff left a sour taste in our mouths. Side note the breakfast croissants were delicious.

• Isolde (8/5): Nice hotel but really small rooms. - This is a nice hotel near the train station. Check-in was excellent. We opened our door to leave our bags while they were cleaning the room but it was way too small. We had three carry on size bags. Luckily, our daughter had her room next-door and she came the day before us so we stored our bags in her room for a while. This was not our normal hotel when we stay in PARIS but we were only here for one night before we went to Belgium. Room was very tight to get around. There was a safe in the room. The shower is level with the toilet, but it has glass halfway down the wall so you can see in from the bedroom. You can pull the curtains to block the toilet. We had room facing the street and it was pretty quiet. Hotel has a small elevator. I do not think there would be room for a wheelchair. Also probably only one large bag and one human might fit. Staff is very nice. Location is good. Breakfast is available for a charge.

When we arrived at the hotel they did not have any record of our booking and their hotel was fully booked, fortunately they were very good and offered us a self catering apartment for the duration of our stay. Have filed a complaint with Expedia but have had no reply to date.

• Azizul (6/5): good for lovers, not for families - there is no blinds and clear glass between the bathroom and the bedroom so it's only cosy if you are there as a couple ...unfortunately i was a father staying with my 8 year old daughter - so had to resort to having showers when she was asleep ..the only saving grace was a shower curtain between the shower and the toilet - otherwise that would be fully exposed to the bedroom too!

They address small issues we had ( getting more towels, one day the maid service did not leave any after cleaning our room) they provided helpful information on the area and recommended places to eat and see that were not on our agenda. Location was convenient to all transportation needs and made it easy for use to see Paris without a car.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Get cozy at the Avalon cosy hotel - The super helpful staff stored my luggage before checkin so I could attend my Olympic event. The gare du nord is an easy walk and gives you access to the gorgeous City. The AC is so refreshing and the bed is comfy.

• Susan (10/5): - Nice clean hotel very close to the Gare du Nord for accessing travel to the airport, London or Amsterdam. The hotel staff were professional and helpful. The rooms were so clean! And the street is relatively quiet for being in such a busy area. Lots of great casual dining nearby; if sightseeing, you’ll probably take the metro quite a bit, but there are several stops nearby. We chose this for its proximity to the Gare du Nord.
• Sean (10/5): - Very close to Gare du Nord train station—a very walkable distance, but the cobbled sidewalks may make it difficult if you have luggage. Despite arriving late on a Friday night, the hotel manager was at the desk and was very helpful. The room was very nice, clean, and the hotel is eco-friendly in their practices and amenities.

• Martine (10/5): - The room was nice yet small! The breakfast was good in the morning! The staff was very nice and helpful! Good spot to stay if you need to be near the train station! The surrounding area of Paris dirty and not great!
• Verified traveler (8/5): Clean room. Non secluded bath and toilet - The room was clean. The beds were comfortable and good for two friends. The glass door to the shower and toilet, however, were not great for privacy. Still a nice room.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly Service - Very friendly service. I always ask for a quiet room when staying someplace. This is the only hotel to ever actually respond acknowledging that request.
• Hatice (10/5): Good location and friendly staff - The hotel was really nice and the staff working there are extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a really nice location, so if you did want to walk everything is in walking distance and is close to the metro.
• Larry (10/5): - Met all our top priorities for budget travel accommodation. Clean. Super comfortable bed. Excellent location. Walkable and very convenient to train transit. Certainly was a small room but large is not a priority for us. Super friendly and accommodating staff. Free delicious coffee in the morning a bonus. Excellent for the price point. Would stay again in a heart beat.
• BP (8/5): Great Service - The room was a good size and price for what we needed. We got there late, slept, did site seeing the next day and were able to store our bags. Not a big room to hang out in but we were not there very long. The workers there were very nice and provided great service. Very close to Gare du Nord train station but we also used taxis
• Nicole (8/5): - Great for a short stay very close to Gare de Nord. Some of the room design is a little perplexing (not much space to be comfortable in the bathroom, and there was no way to block out the coloured lights from the hotel sign outside the window), but the staff were really friendly and helpful.

• Robert (10/5): - The Cosy is tastefully renovated to maximize both its charming historical details and it's modernised conveniences. It's just steps from the Gare du Nord but manages to be quite quiet and away from crowds. The staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are coming from CDG airport the Gare du Nord is the first stop in Paris for the RER train. So convenient for getting from or to the airport. Not the trendiest part of town but you will find restaurants to eat at and we felt safe walking I liked it and recommend it.
• June (10/5): - It’s a nice clean hotel with friendly & helpful staff. Zelle was warm & personable, it’s within minutes of Gard Du Nord & plenty of eating places. This was our second time at this hotel & we will keep going back. Bathtub is in the same space as the bed. It’s a bit hard for a 6’2” guy to stand in it & take a shower given that the ceiling is angling down right over the tub in this particular room number 62. Number 65 was good, but not to be difficult Americans, it could be a challenge taking a shower in a tub with no overhead shower (you hold it) & water splashing all over. It’s equally hard to sit in the tub if you are a big guy or gal & get out of it later. It’s travel, we know. This is not a complaint, just practical information for people looking. I think most Parisian hotels are the same.
