Chambre bruyante, c'est comme si on dormait dehors, avec les bruits des voisins en plus derrière le mur en papier à cigarette. Pas de télévision le matin au petit déjeuner. Le lavabo est plutôt un lave-main.

• _Y1340JZ (2/5): This hotel is stealing money from the rooms - in this hotel we had money stolen from our wallet in our backpack. they stole it during the day when we were not in the room. they stole all the cash. and they do not bear any responsibility. their cameras at the reception do not work. I am sure that this was done by the hotel employees. they rummaged through all the bags and wallets. they did not take other currency, only euros. the worst hotel ever
• Miceli (8/5): - Très bon rapport qualité prix... hôtel proche métro République très pratique pour les déplacements. Calme, propreté même si le mobilier est vieillissant. Personnel très accueillant, bon petit déjeuner.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Un lit pour dormir en cas d’urgence - Ce logement est adapté aux situations d’urgence, quand nous ne savons pas où dormir sur Paris, il est vieux, vétuste et possède de nombreux endroits où il y a de la moisissure. La salle de bain est assez sale et le personnel sympathique.

Las instalaciones son antiguas, lo cual no me molesta, pero pudieran hacerle unas modificaciones. En las habitaciones el estante pareciera que fuera a caerse, el baño no se siente limpio y se veían manchas en paredes y ducha. El ascensor es para dos personas pero si vas con maletas, solo cabe una.

• Donald (8/5): Needs an update, but was clean. - The room was just a room. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom is very small. I could barely fit in the shower opening. Literally body parts were rubbing to enter and exit the shower. I could lose weight I suppose. The staff was very kind and helpful. They gave me shampoo and new remote batteries upon asking. I didn't like having to leave my key each time I left the hotel. I would stay again. It was very close to public transportation and many restaurants and bars. Just don't expect a resort. The Wi-Fi was TERRIBLE. That would have to be my biggest complaint. If I opened the window and stood in front of it, then my cell service would pick up, but that was the only way to get any internet connection that was reliable.

Air con machine and fans provided otherwise the heat would have been unbearable. You get what you pay for, so if you just want a basic base, then it may suit. Great location though, for metro or just wandering into the centre. (20-30 mins steady walk)
• Martin (4/5): Für abenteuerlustige Gäste mit geringen Ansprüchen - Das Hotel liegt in einer interessanten Gegend: Es ist sehr gut an die verschiedenen Metrolinien angeschlossen, Theater, Restaurants und vieles Andere ist direkt in der Nähe und man bekommt einen Eindruck von ganz normalem Pariser Stadtleben. Aber das Haus ist in keinem guten Zustand. Es wirkt etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Der Preis ist dafür aber auch nicht so hoch wie anderen Orts.

• sallyc565 (8/5): Friendly establishment - The room is airy and spacious. The lights don't switch on properly. The bed is a double. The man at the front desk was nice and after a 45 minute delay on the train it took about 20 minutes to walk here. You must sign the police form at check in. The weather is hot, high twenties. There are a lot of people out the street. I found the walk and check in hassle free. There is a mcdonald's right round the corner if you are hungry. I heard the TV from the next door room.

• Karin (8/5): - Not bad by European standards, very small by North American standards. I am not that big but had to be angle just right to get in and out of the shower. Very good soundproofing to the street and staff very friendly. Overall it is a little dated but did the trick for a brief stay. Note, no in-room safe available and you leave the room key with the front desk when you go out. On the plus side, the bed was way more comfortable than I expected.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Perfectly adequate for a 2 star... - Well located between Gard du Nord station and the river Seine, everywhere in the 2nd and 3rd arr. was accessible within a 25 min walk with plenty of metro options. The room was small and what you would expect for a 2 star establishment but it was clean and had access to a terrace which was nice to step out to. The fixtures and fitting were clearly old and tired, but functioned fine.

• busprowl2002 (2/5): DO NOT TRUST! - I booked here via Expedia on a free cancelation, and cancelled within the deadlines. However the hotel still took the money out of my account. Expedia agreed they shouldn't have. 2 months later and I am still waiting. Written to them and got curt responses. I know english isn't the first language, but bad customer service. They have stopped responding to Expedia to. Please avoid. Looking at the reviews below, this is obvious!
• Sarah (4/5): Would not stay again - The only positive I have for this hotel is it’s location. Great location! Walkable to small shops, restaurants, and metro. Please be aware that there is no air conditioning!!! If it’s going to be there when it’s hot, please look at other accommodations, no fans, no airflow. The room itself was tiny, old, I felt like at anytime the closest was going to come crashing down, the paint was peeling off the walls, the elevator was busted for part of our stay. They also made us turn in our key every time we left and we could pick it up when we got back, I just thought it was kind of strange.

• Joseph (8/5): Small pillows but quiet room - Small pillows, about half American standard sized. Room was quiet. Location not bad but have to walk awhile to get to the train station or metro. Shower had a very large step to get into the shower, at least 40cm high. Leaving keys at desk when you leave but staff remember you so they know where you are staying. Next door to a boulangerie for a quick breakfast. Elevator in good working condition but very small, barely big enough for two thin people and two medium sized bags to fit it.

• Xxx (2/5): - The good first.. the hotel is about a 5-min walk from 2 train lines, has a boulangerie/pattiserrie across the street and cafes & bistros are walking distance. The bad... the hotel is dirty, it’s old but old places can be clean. i normally don’t fuzz about dirt, and i was only staying for less than 24 hours, but the room smelled old, and like it wasn’t clean. During my stay the elevator wasn’t working and my room was on the 5th floor. Haways didn’t have a light so i felt unsafe. Upon inspecting the bed, i found a bed bug on the spare bed and bug crawling on the ceiling. I barely slept thinking about the bugs that could be hiding.

The wifi would not work in the roo., but the receptionist let us sit in the lobby to use internet. We only stayed 2 nights, but the price is right for short trips.

Unfortunately no air conditioning, only a little fan, so had to sleep with windows open which made for extremely noisy, interrupted sleep every night! Room was extremely small with no kettle or fridge, which would’ve have been ok for one night. The room decor was fine, but the bathroom was very grotty with peeling paint and mold on the ceiling. We still had a fabulous time in Paris though!

There was an option to have breakfast in the hotel but we preferred to go out or just bring the freshly baked croissants into the room. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. There is someone at the front desk 24 hours.
• asnah juliati (6/5): lovely staff and lovely surounding - the room and the bathroom is old and just another place to stay . nothing special for the those. but what i love most is the people who works there. the front office, the house keeping , everyone. they do not speak a very good english but i cam understand them, but how they act when you need help and how they willing to assist you is super top! and rhe way they do their job, even 5 stars hotels staff could not beat them. the surounding is great! restaurants, all kinda food is available with a local pricing! love them so much for these! and most of all the subway station is just 5 minutes away on both end of the road! this is not a fancy hotel, even i think it is too much for the price. but i dont care, since the people and the surounding is super cool! fully recommended to people who wanna stay a cheap and decent place in paris with a great surounding!

• Sarah (2/5): Dirty, unkempt, hotel - We ended up leaving the hotel. Once we checked in, we were told we were on the 6th floor. The elevator only goes to the 5th. The room looked like it haven't been cleaned, crumbs under the bed, bathroom was aged. Once we removed the covers to check the sheets, we found hairs on two of the beds. The outlet / plug was broken - didn't stay in the wall. Overall not a clean place to stay.

Service was bad break fast was bad, bathroom lights stopped working in the evening. I booked another room for my colleague and they informed me on the day od check in that its been cancelled. Thanks to hotels.com we still got the room. Hotels.com should remove such hotels which are charging so high for no good service.
• 697josephj (2/5): outdated and dirty - Unfortunately this hotel do not live to its name. We looked to the hotels in Paris and decided to go for this one due to be a bit more expensive and the review of good. Looking to the pictures on the website it looked good , though after staying there for few nights I certainly can say those photos where provably taken when it opened. The room is dark and small (see pics) even with the lights on, well the ones that worked, was still very dark. The bathroom is very small and moldy, the shower was missing part of the door and their solution was to put a bad hanging curtain. (see pic) The laminated floor has see better days and is bad fitted with gaps between the boards. It hasn't been deep clean since opened and there is tones of dust in the odd places. One of the receptionist is not very friendly They charge 9 euros for a croissant and coffee, so my advise is go to any of the cafes or restaurant around is cheaper. In general this hotel is in need if a good refurbishment and not worth the money we payed.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Do not recommend - Uncomfortable bed as well as bed stains, the bathroom was very small, but most importantly the room itself was incredibly small. Bu the worst thing that happened to us, was that in the morning, we got knocked on the door telling us that there won't be water for 30 minutes due to repairs. But the promised 30 minutes ended up being 2.5 hrs. We wasted a whole day because we couldn't shower. The staff wasn't very friendly and the cleaning lady kept wanting us to leave the room because she had to clean.
• anamariaro93 (2/5): Rude manager, useless staff, DIRTY rooms. - Unfortunately I stayed at this place called hotel in room 034 with my sister. This was a present for her birthday. When we arrived there was a funny smell at the reception and the receptionist spoke french and barely understood English. We had to pay obviously the full amount on arrival. We went up in our room. Toilet dirty. Hair everywhere. No light, apart from a table lamp which when you switch it off, the TV goes off too. I did not understand why, it was just funny. We wanted to visit that beautiful city so we ignored all this and went out. When we came back the room was freezing cold. We tried to sleep but the room next door 035 has the toilet right next to our head. They showered and they kept laughing until late night, that room had carton walls, you could hear the neighbours flushing the toilet on top of your head. A lady wearing high heels kept walking up and down in the room on the above floor. Worst night sleep ever. We told the receptionist the day after that we want to leave and obviously we want our money back as that box called room did non allow us to sleep. He said sorry no money back. I asked to speak to the manager and he said manager never here weekend. That day was my sister’s birthday so I did not want to ruin her mood so we just spent the day out. When we came back exhausted the lady with high heels and the shower above our head continued. I emailed the manager to ask for an explanation and he replied in french saying ‘madam this is what you made a reservation for’ . No sorry. No nothing. There are so many beautiful places to stay in Paris, avoid these rude people and this dirty place. It is also too expensive for what they offer. P.s. the mould in the shower goes off by spraying some bleach on it. You can pass the message to your cleaners, ‘monsieur manager’

If you want a location that could take you anywhere in Paris within 30 mins but metro this hotel is perfect. You could be a little judgemental and pick faults yes, but why your probably only staying for a couple of nights. Reception was always happy. Area was perfect to find something to eat closer to home after a busy day out beware prices in most areas in Paris are expensive but for value of money I would stay here again.
• 511yeseniab (10/5): Pleasant Stay - I stayed here for one night and was very happy with my room and the staff as they were very welcoming and friendly. I had towels and toiletries and a clean room. Hotel is a short walk to Republique station, restaurants and banks. If you are looking for a pleasant hotel, well situated and on a budget, this is a fantastic place. They also have breakfast but I wasn’t able to eat. Coffee is good though. :)
• V1842RGstevem (2/5): Ghastly crappy dump - Why I'm bothering to write this is only to warn any unsuspecting travellers that may consider staying, my room was awful, the staff accused me of stealing my own things, probably to hide there own guilt. Possibly the worst hotel, being cheap doesn't excuse them. Hygiene awful, wiring a joke, are there hotel inspectors in Paris? Or are they all on the take?
• arezoof2018 (2/5): unsatisfactory - lets start with positive points. location was fine , about 5 min to République square by walk and easy access to public transportation. Also reception staff were friendly and helpful; But there were lots of negative issues! my room was very small( less than standard size) and it was not clean! in my first day I found some personal things of others (maybe previous guests) at my room! Also it was very cold! the walls are very thin and if you want to sleep during the night , you should expect to hear even cough sound of your neighbors!!! One day , because of headache I stayed at my room to take some rest but the housekeeper woman knocked the door more and more and finally entered the room! (there is not any sign of “ Do Not Disturb” at rooms! ) I told her that I don’t need to clean the room and I want to sleep but she don’t understand English at all and went to the toilet to change the towels while she was nagging in French! Totally I didn’t like this hotel and do not recommend and never come back!
• Stokie92 (8/5): Very good hotel, excellent location - The room was as shown in the pictures, small but comfortable. The bathroom small, but for a budget hotel in the centre of Paris I think it's good value for money. It's true that the walls are a little thin so you hear people in the corridor, but I feel some of the other reviews overexaggerate this. All staff are friendly and helpful. It's not on a main road so there is no traffic noise. The hotel was warm, as we were in Paris while it was very snowy. 5 mins walk from République. There's a cheap bakery opposite the hotel, where you can buy breakfast if you chose not to pay in the hotel. I would most certainly return.
• 248neild (8/5): Pleasantly surprised - I was really worried about staying her especially after the last review from Steve but I must say I had a totally different and much better experience. The guys on the desk were friendly. Room was clean. Lift worked. Wifi worked although slightly intermittent how and again. For £50 a night for a single room, that is in a decent area of Paris, it is clean and safe, you cannot do much better than this. I really have stayed in some sh1tholes in Paris and paid more than I paid here. The room was very warm, almost too warm but that was ok considering the weather outside. Yes the walls are very thin but I got lucky I guess an had quiet neighbours. I am giving this hotel 4 stars because of the price, cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff.
• Nic (8/5): Very close to the metro and food areas. - Small room with a very loud toilet but room was warm and water was hot (stayed in December). Front desk was very nice. Very small room but very clean with daily room cleanup and bed fixing. Balcony room, perfect for photos. reserved a 2 persons room, with a double bed. 4th floor.
• Christy (8/5): Value for money - Perfect area to stay in Paris. Not to far away from Le Marais and very close to the metro station.
• Christ (8/5): Good hotel. Next to metro (republique) - Great clean hotel. Nice staff. 5 mins to the metro (republique). Thin walls u can hear anything. Just avoid having the room right next to the lift. Overalls the guests are calm so it was a minor issue. But it is recommended
• Mirella (4/5): Room reserved was not as pictured when I got there - Was given a very small room with a double bed against one side of the wall... an interior room with a view of a breathing air court ...with disheveled paint on the exterior walls. The bathroom had a very small shower stall with plastic curtain. When I complained to the reception the night receptionist told me to speak to reception in the morning...when I did speak to the morning reception was told the room I saw and reserved...was a cheaper one ...not the ones on the front side...but on Expedia..it did not distinguish the two kinds so as for me to take the room pictured on the reservation...They were full on that weekend so I stayed put in the substandard room.
• sabatoli (6/5): Tiny room but great location! - Very cramped room and thin walls. You were able to hear e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. But a great location and a lovely cafe/bar around the corner called "Le Pachyderme". Overall pretty average for a cheap stay!
• 803wladimirc (4/5): Cheap. Tiny room and no AC - Its a cheap option, but the room and toilet are so tiny. It was a very hot weather. Inside was worse than outside. The carpet on the floor is dirty. Two stars only because the location. Staff was OK and you have to pay for the simple breakfast 7 euros.
• danielstevenm (6/5): Family trip - Great place to stay to visit paris . Great service. Breakfast 7 euro per person. I rated 3 stars because faculty doesn't speak English or Spanish only and only french it could be a problem at the end for any taxi arrangements or If you didn't know breakfast was included on the rate.
• Deb (2/5): Never Again - Paper thin walls; Hard, stained, old mattresses; Ceramic tiles falling off bathroom walls; small, circular stairs to rooms; I specifically choose it because the picture showed rooms without carpeting. They were carpeted and disgustingly dirty;
• lucavesk (2/5): Not good - The Room was clean and modern even if the structure is really old. The staff is Not friendly and no one of them can speak english fluentely. The price was good but whitout any advice from reception our trip has lost some points.

• damo (4/5): Worst hotel cramped picture is fake - Smallest triple room I have stayed in my life, it is actually a small single room, beds were just in room to fit. Toilets smelt like urine throughout room and tv didn't work on first night.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Standards could be much better - 1. The hotel's shower holder was damaged. 2. The Wifi connection was terrible. 3. Beds made but rubbish wasn't cleared. 4. The staff there were friendly. That's the only plus point about this hotel. Would not stay here again if I were to visit Paris.
