Guest Reviews
- Carmela patricia (6/5): - El personal de recepción poco atento
- Ayoub (2/5): - Don’t go there. Do not even think about it.
It is infested with bedbugs. All the 4th floor. I was in room 403 and woke up at 1Am with 20 bites. The bugs were big, means they’ve been there a long time.
I spoke with the reception and he didn’t care.
Dont be fooled by the pictures, it is not as advertised.
Highly NOT recommended
- Adrian (8/5): - Quaint little property. Excellent location for getting around on public transport. Room with a bed , tv and ensuite. We enjoyed our stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): !!! PUNAISES DE LIT !!! A FUIR !!!
- vincent (8/5): Top - Chambre refaite . Bien
- Filippo (2/5): - very small and uncomfortable room, with damaged furnitures and poor services.
- sebastiao teixeira (4/5): - A localização, facil acesso a transporte publico.O banheiro com box que so cabe criança pequeno demais,a curtina gruda no corpo... ..
- Tomo (8/5): - That was very good to stay there as usual.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - freundliche Concierge
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room, cleanliness, service OK for the price -the only drawback was the thin wall to the next room with its very active couple..!
- Wendy (2/5): - Horrible service I wasn’t able to go because of covid there where no flights to Paris and they were not flexible not even with a hotel credit
Je me suis cognée au lavabo. Beaucoup trop petite. Très peu de rangement. Ne mérite qu une étoile. Petit Petit-déjeuner très moye.
- Ella (2/5): - Horrible! The front desk lady accused me of the water leakage from the washroom while I was showering which I wasn’t making a mess. If only I could post this comment with some photos attached, of the room which she said “the hotel was recently renovated”, I would... she also talked to my sister telling “if you want a good hotel, do not choose the cheap ones”, so my sister replied, “so if the hotel is cheap, quality of the whole property doesn’t matter?” So she kept quiet...
If there’s there’s a leakage or something in the hotel, investigate first and never blame the guest...
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We canceled this hotel because they couldn’t accommodate us. They said they would cancel at no fee and with a refund. Instead they charged us full price and Expedia could not get in contact with the hotel to look into a refund for us. Stay away from this place. The hotel & staff clearly cannot be trusted.
- jerome (6/5): - I ask 3 bed for the saturday night when I booked but when I arrive on friday at 2pm the room wasn`t ready.... and it was not possible to have an extra bed for the saturday night. The lady at the reception didn`t help us at all. I have to book another room next door.
- Ash (8/5): Ok for a long weekend - The hotel is fine for the amount of money that you pay. The location is ideal to get around Paris, Republique/Oberkampf/Perimiter metro stations all within walking distance. The area felt safe, with plenty of shops/cafes close by. The hotel rooms are small, suitable for a long weekend. The hotel offers breakfast for 7 Euros which was very competitive
- Michaela (10/5): Fajn hotel za dobrou cenu - Vse vpohode, prijeli jsme pozde, presto jsme byli bez problemu ubytovani. Prijemna obsluha recepce, pokoj fajn. Snidane take dobra.
- Brandy (8/5): It's alright - For the price it's a good place to stay. It's a bit small but your a five minute walk from a metro. There are also bars and restaurants around so it's a good location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - To me, a born Parisian, I understand the differences between European , especially French hotels to American ones.
I liked the room I was offered, pleasing to the eye, and large enough for me being single.
I liked the kindess of the staff. I also like that I finally found the bus to the Gare du Nord for the airport.
Room was clean, good bedding, and warm enough. Shower good too.
Only little thing I did not like was the lack of Wifi connection on my floor.
Overall, I can recommend the property, but attention-the street address is a little triky to find.I was not well informed by the metro how to get there easier. Nieghborhood very interesting multi cultural in Paris.
- Shah Rizan (10/5): GREAT STAY - It was a great stay! Value for the money!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property was extremely run down. Very dirty and very noisy. We are used to staying in 2.star accomodation but this hotel was so bad we left after one night despite having paid for two. Staff were friendly and that is the only good thing i have to stay about the hotel. Absolute dump. Avoid.
- Verified traveler (2/5): NEVER trust the staff here - The Arab manager let himself into my room when I was asleep in bed! Maybe he was looking to steal my property. Atrocious
- Paul (10/5): - Great area for walkers. Near Opera Plaza and METRO. Good restaurants near by. Fantastic breakfast for the charge.
- Sabri (8/5): Pieno centro - Molto soddisfatto
- monika (10/5): - Hotel usytuowany w pięknej okolicy blisko centrum miasta i wielu atrakcji.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Sehr nettes Personal.
Chambre spacieuse. Correct mais sans plus. Literie pas très confortable. Accueil très moyen. Très bien situé
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Tiny, cramped, clean and located in nice, non-touristy neighbourhood.
- ELEN (2/5): - Terrible! No Heat in Room, No Fridge, No Safe Box, No Clean, Noise from Neighbour .....
- Sassy (8/5): - Room was small, bathroom was tight with molds in the ceiling, sink falling apart but walking distance to
subways, local restaurants are closeby, amazing front desk personnel!
FYI: website will say, checkin lobby is close Saturday afternoon & all day Sunday.... NO this was not the case...there is someone 24/7 able to help you.
- Alex (6/5): - Staff is helpful, room and shower so small, far from center of city, unless you like to walk a lot
- Kathryn (8/5): - Perfectly clean and comfortable room. Big bed. Excellent location next to various metro stations. Lots of great (and cheap) bard and restaurants nearby.
- Nevena (8/5): - Clean rooms, lots of cafes and restaurants nearby.
- Brooke (8/5): - Staff was very friendly, room was small but just what we needed. Nice area, felt safe sleeping at night. We did not have the breakfast so cannot comment on the food. Would stay again
- Christina (8/5): Excellent location, price and stay! - The hotel exceeded expectations, staff was very friendly, the room was clean and it was ideally located near multiple metro stop as well as lots of bars and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay, the bathroom had hot water and good water pressure, while there is no A/C, it was cool enough with the windows open to sleep comfortably. It is a small space, but most spaces in Paris are, so don't expect a typical american hotel room. The nearest metro stop is Paramentier off line 3 (dark green). I definitely recommend this hotel for the price, location and friendly staff. WiFi in the room was spotty, but worked fine in the lobby. They offered breakfast at an additional cost.
- Richard (8/5): Small room at a good rate - We used this hotel as a base only. Somewhere to sleep, which we did in relative comfort. The mattress was good. The shower was very small but, other than knocking the tap every time I turned around, it worked perfectly. House keeping kept the room looking neat and tidy. Otherwise we didn't use the hotel amenities. We were not disappointed to be here, but our expectations were low. We had the most amazing Parisian holiday.
- L. (2/5): - Bed Bugs. Bed Bugs. Bed Bugs. Do not stay at this hotel. It is disgustingly dirty and we had to leave in the middle of the night because there were bed bugs. The hotel is filthy.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Booked this hotel two months before going. Very decent price especially considering it's pretty much in the city centre. Rooms were clean, a bit small but I was expecting that in Paris. Service was great and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was available for a small additional price but we didn't opt for it this time around. Only downsides were no air conditioning and creepy Mona Lisa watching me sleep, though this was helped by sleeping with my back to the picture.
I would come here again in the future.
- Richard (8/5): Great place in heart of paris - Enjoyed our stay great helpful staff ,only complaint no WiFi in room had to keep going to reception for WiFi
- J (8/5): - Overall is good, except the room is feeling hot and 1st day stay no wifi collected.
hot and
- Happy Camper (10/5): - This reasonably priced hotel is about half-way between Gare du Nord and Gare de Lyon - about 35 minutes walk from each using the paper map from the hotel check-in counter. A small, clean, friendly, older hotel, with good beds, an elevator, and optional breakfast, it is near many cafés, restaurants, bakeries, small food stores - and close to the spectacular (linear park) Blvds Richard Lenoir and Jules Ferry (with a canal). Nearby Metro (line #) stations at Oberkampf (5)(9), Goncourt (11), Parmentier (3), Couronnes (2). Wifi is best in the lobby.
- BM (8/5): Fair price for a decent hotel - You get what you pay for. Having said that, everything was fine. Room and ensuite both small but clean. Shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. Staff pleasant and helpful. Only criticism - the corridors (on the 4th floor at least) smell strongly of cigarette smoke. Fortunately the room didn't.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Not too bad
- Q (2/5): - First they emailed me saying that they will cancel my other booking because I only paid for one room, when I PREPAID for 2 bedrooms.
Then I have to contact Expedia to settle things. A day before we arrive they wmailed me again saying “If I dont confirm the booking before the end of the day they will cancel the booking.” i emailed them again informing them that it has been prepaid and and we are arriving on the said date. Whta the heck is wrong with this hotel?
The elevator stops in between floors and the staff are lazy and unprofessiomal.
- john (8/5): - The hotel was just right. Good location, comfortable and friendly staff. Ideal hotel if you just intend sleeping there on a night time. No noise from outside.
- Margaret (10/5): Leonardo da Vinci- a great choice! - An excellent hotel, clean, comfortable, a picturesque room! The staff went out of their way to be helpful and welcoming; it was reasonably priced and near to the centre of Paris - couldn't have wished for more!
- JUNA (10/5): - We have pleasant stay in Leonard de Vinci. Walking distance to the metro.
- Christina (8/5): Nice place for quiet stay - Hotel is located in a great neighborhood. Location is quiet for great sleeping, but even better when you walk one block in any direction for great local food, drinks and coffee. Easy access to public transit. Tri-Lingual staff was a bonus. Restaurant was only open in the morning. Room did not have AC. Showers are a bit snug(even by European standards).
- Mirella Batonga (2/5): Bad customer service & room reeking of cigarette - My stay was terrible. We booked a non-smoking room for 2 days & as soon as we walked in the room reeked of cigarette, it was so bad we had to get our bed sheets change dbecause tehy smelled too. We went to see the receptionist to get another room for the next day. The next day he told us we should have confirmed the request in the morning that it was too late... I asked to talk to a manager and he let me know she would be in the following day. When I talked to the Manager about my issue with the cigarette smell, she screamed at me hurling that cigarette smells and there is nothing they can do about it, they cannot control people who smoke when/where it's forbidden. She was rude to me and never apologized for the condition of the rooms. Still shouting ta me, she said she would give me a 10Euro discount for the 2nd night, which is peanuts I think, and ended up not even applying the discount she promised. I wrote a letter to their management but never got any response. This was a terrible experience, I don't recommend this hotel, they really don't care about customers well being during their stay. They were just happy to take money without providing the service I paid for.
- Yaakov (10/5): Excellent - Perfect hotel with the right location.just to sleep and travel in paris
- Verified traveler (6/5): Comfortable rooms - The rooms aren't too bad, but the hotel is a fair distance from main attractions
- Dahl (4/5): Don't stay here - Don't stay here. There was no AC but when you opened the windows the noise from the drunk people loitering around nearby screaming like crazies and cars speeding off kept us up all night. The staff was helpful during the day but if you interrupted one guys Law and Order at night you would not be pleased. The phones didn't work in the rooms and it smelled pretty funky in the lobby and elevators. I had to close by suitcase to have space to walk to the bathroom.
- Nick (6/5): Not bad for what we spent. - Was off the beaten path and was still noisy. Down an alley and there must have been a night club or something across the street because it was loud until 3am. No air conditioning when we were there and not very close to the major Paris attractions. Booked a triple room with 3 single beds, got a single and a double. Got it fixed after some talking.
- Diana (6/5): - The hotel shower was so small with a curtain around it when i moved it changed the water condition really small
- JR (6/5): Adequate-Basic B&B Rome, Italy - Convenient colorful neighborhood location walk to restaurants, supermarket, bus, train to downtown Rome and sights. Simple accommodations, very small bathroom with hot shower, best rooms face the street, quiet at night... Basic continental breakfast, free wifi connection is very poor at times. Local calls made from hotel can be expensive. Friendly, helpful English speaking staff.
- iris (4/5): very small and poorly remodelled - This was an overpriced ugly hotel and room. Yes its Paris, but really. Plastic wood floors and not enough room to swing a cat. The cleaning products smellt so bad we had to leave the windows open.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good enough! - The staff was lovely at this hotel. The rooms were simple and comfortable. Although it was on a noisy street, the rooms were very sound-proofed! The location is great-close to everything you need. It's nothing fancy, but I would certainly stay here again.
- Hugh (2/5): Avoid at all costs!! Cheap but not cheerful!! - I was looking forward to staying at this hotel until I stepped through the door into the hotel reception. The smell of body odour from the night receptionist was overpowering! Not a good sign I thought. I arrived about 9pm with my fellow traveller and handed my Expedia booking confirmation to the receptionist who with hardly a word of greeting then examined the booking for some minutes, as if he had not a clue about what he had in his hand. I was almost hoping there had been some mix up and that there was no booking! Eventually he said "you want a twin room?". I said yes...that's what was in the confirmation! We were allocated a room and handed the key along with a remote control for the tv. We made for the lift as the room was on the third floor only to be told that it was not working #I suspect it has not been working for some time!#. We had to use the spiral staircase.....and then back down as the remote for the tv had no batteries in it!
The Room: Small but probably to be expected in Paris. Twin beds but were located abutting each other - no room between them. Furniture was meagre, certainly not enough wardrobe space or drawers for two people. Decor was tired as were the bed linens, although they were clean. The toilet was small with a curtain shower only but the extractor fan did not work which probably accounted for the dampness / mustiness of the room #no natural ventilation#. TV has only French channels and if there was free wifi, it wasn't in the rooms!
- Stephanie (6/5): Reasonable price for a standard Paris hotel - Reasonable price, standard small hotel just like 80% others in Paris but clean. I was a little lost when I tried to find it as it's hidden in a small street, but basically just turn right when you get out of the metro and walk up the road, and turn right again.
- Stanilav (8/5): Good hotel is worth the money you pay. - Very small room but good location. Nice speaking English people at reception.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Not the best, but OK in a pinch
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good but nothing superb - Good value for money, not superb but clean, fríendly staff
- Helen (8/5): does what it says on the tin - this is a clean, cheap hotel with pleasant staff. Nothing fancy but does the job.
