Guest Reviews
- Decio (6/5): Convenient hotel for a day or two - Very convenient location near the Gambetta metro station, several bars, restaurants and street commerce. Hotel room clean but pretty small and basic. Hotel reception was not welcoming at all.
- Karl (6/5): Overpriced - The lobby was under construction when I arrived, the rooms were small, and the hotel was expensive for what it was.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not yet ready for guests. - The hotel lobby is under active construction. I think it will be nice, but it's both dangerous and inconvenient. There are mattresses in the stairwells. I've traveled extensively, so I know the distinction between stars. I've never stayed in a French three-star where only one bar of crappy hand soap was provided to guests. I had to waste part of my trip to buy basic supplies. After being held at the entrance so that the workers could work was too much for me. I don't write reviews often, but this was beyond egrigiously bad.
- Peter (2/5): They stole property from my luggage. - I was in this hotel in Paris, the service was just fairly ok. Staff were at a minimum friendly. It was fairly clean. I will not recommend tourism to pick this hotel. My luggage was open while I was out and staff stole some of my clothing and souvenirs that I have bought in different places. Please this is a "Red Flag" for tourists not to stay at this hotel. Stay away from it by all means.
- Mary (8/5): Location, Location, Location! - Literally steps from the Metro. Lots of bistros within 3 blocks. Convenience shops, bakeries, etc. all on the same block. The SuperHotel is tiny and so are the rooms, but the bed is comfortable, the hot water is plentiful, the facilities are clean, and there is an elevator, air conditioning, WiFi. Staff is friendly and the concierge speaks English (and didn’t laugh at my French.) Basic continental breakfast: coffee, fresh orange juice, croissant, two hard rolls, cheese, yogurt. We’d go back.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The only positives the bed was comfortable, my room had a tub, and it was close to the train. The hotel is older then pictured. My room had two doors one for sound? One to enter, so it was like entering a cell. A third door that opened to a roof landing that was being used by maiainance for storing a trash can. No view and didn't feel like I anted to open the window as it was more a door to a creepy landing. I asked to change rooms , this was met with an exasperated front desk person, that said no but finally showed me an option. A room on the 6 floor with a twin that was old and worn out. A small terrace but an electric light that read hotel, ok so my choice was comfortable bed in cell like room, or a creaking twin size with a neon sign outside my window. Very disappointed.
- jayne (6/5): Hotel on busy street 10 secs from the metro - Bog standard hotel, room etc. Staff passable but not very friendly. Continental breakfast 5/10. Shower room flooded on first morning cos impossible to fix shower head.
- kim (6/5): - It was average experience.
The hair blower was not functioning.
Same breakfast everyday :(
The location is very convenient as it is near from metro station.
- Nikolas (10/5): - Hotel is super.
Wifi was excellent.
Room was super clean.
Personnel were friendly and speaking several languages.
Metro just in 50 meters from hotel .
YEAH it was great to stay in this hotel !!!
PS: you do not need breakfast.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Tout s’est bien passé
- Luiz Fernando Faria (10/5): - Incredible room, near to the tube station, safe area at the night and the hotel team is the best. I would definitely stay in there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Super Location - For the purpose of my stay, the Super Hotel was sufficient. The location was great, the price was ok. The room was clean at first glance, butsome spots around the cornes of the room, behind the curtains, and especially the heaters were not cleaned for a long time. The power outlets were poorly installed and I could hear my neighbours through the thin wall and the street through the corner of the room(bad isolation, crack in the wall).
- Justine (10/5): Value for money, good staff. - Good location, super close to Met station, good food shops all around, helpful and friendly staff.
- JACQUES (10/5): Bonne surprise, bel hôtel, bien situé - Hôtel très propre, métro juste à côté
- Richard (10/5): Great stay at the Super Hotel. - This is the 3rd time I have stayed at the Super Hotel. It has been somewhat updated since I was last there-about 10 years ago. Everything was great and I like this area of Paris because it is not so touristy and the convenience to the Metro is unmatched anywhere in Paris.
- Alain (8/5): Globalement positif - chambre un peu petite, donc un peu chère
- Bariampas (8/5): hotel bien place - tres bien
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Service super désagréable
- Dominique (8/5): hôtel bien placé et propre - bon rapport qualité prix
- Amandine (6/5): - Chambre propre et agréable
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice typical Parisian small hotel - Very good location as other reviews have mentioned. It's located next to the Gambetta Metro which is ideal for traveling. Rooms have been updated and very clean. There's hot water unlike what is written in other reviews. However in peak hours expect some interruptions: if you shower early (before 7-8 am) or in the evening, everything should be fine. A lot of travelers don't understand that buildings in Paris are way older than in America and its not that easy to upgrade them. Ideal if you are traveling alone or for business. But if you are in couple, don't expect the romantic setting.
- Thomas (6/5): Fine for a night - This hotel is to the east of Paris and well located within walking distance to the Metro. It's on a main road but room was quiet and clean. A little basic however for a night all that we needed. We got in very late and the night ported wasn't the most helpful however reception staff the next AM we're.
- JohnnyBlue (6/5): Basic hotel, but excellent location - The hotel was basic.
The location was very good, 10 yards from Gambetta metro station with any trip just 1.80 euro's about 10 stops from the centre.
A taxi back after midnight was about 15 - 20 euro's.
My only real complaint was after a night out and returning to the hotel around 1.30am, we couldn't get in as the male receptionist had fallen asleep and the doors were locked!!
- Alireza (6/5): ok - hotel needs some repair on entrance mattress.
- Verified traveler (4/5): the only goodness - very close to the Metro - the breakfast is terrible. No tea, no milk. room is small. COULDNT find a charging outlet which has a proper location.
- Adam (6/5): Decent Hotel - It was only steps from the Metro which was very convenient. The hotel staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. It was a small room but not a big deal. It was fairly quiet as well.
- A backpacker (6/5): Excellent surround - The surrounding neighbourhood is excellent. It is very convenient. The hotel is clean. However, the facilities and room condition are not so good. Only bed is comfortable.
- Suzanne (10/5): Great Stay - Our stay was great the service provided great and also you give your key back every time you go out gives you a bit of added security as then you wont have to worry about possibly loosing the key but also if something happens then you know that it will be the hotels responsibility as they had the key, young staff member on the front desk was fantastic spoke great english the other guy however we had a few communication issues but nothing that wasnt solved with a translator app on our phones! even though this hotel seams a little out of the centre to get to it is easy and it is right next door to the subway so didnt have to walk far at all, room was great air con as we found it to be quite humid would definitely stay again!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible place, don't even step in the doorway - The worse hotel I have ever stayed in my life. Room was dirty, smelled terrible, dead flies in the toilet. One window that opened onto a ledge that reeked of smoke, full of cigarette ends and bird droppings. A/C did not work and we refused to have the room smell anymore than it already did. Paid for 2 nights and left at dawn after a few hours of sleep. We never got under the covers or changed or clothes or took off shoes. Too horrible. Room #17. Dank and dark and old.
- Mary Strickland (8/5): Clean, convenient, friendly - Our stay of 2 days was convenient to friends and the famous Pere Lachaise Cemetery, which we enjoyed visiting. The neighborhood was pleasant with many cafes of various nationalities and small shops.
- Chris (10/5): Comfortable, Clean and Friendly - Our room was cleaned every day. The service was great and there was a continental breakfast available for a small cost each day. The location was a little farther out than we would have liked, but there was a Metro stop literally steps away.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Photoshop rooms - Hard if you have children as some floor doesn't have lift , no mini bar in the room, very old and not view on the surrounding area
- Ashish (6/5): - Very nice and economical. Good if we want cheap and comfortable stay. The reception was too good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Far Away from "Paris" - Pros: clean room, comfy bed, very close to a metro stop (Gambetta). Cons: The room was very, very small, no shower curtain, the hotel staff spoke very little English, quite a distance from all major attractions.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not Bad - The pictures look better than the hotel. It wasn't a bad hotel, it just wasn't great. The bed was nice and comfortable, the bathroom was kind of modern, the room needs a little work. I don't think I would book this one again.
- patient (8/5): Nice staying - Super Hotel is clean, it have a good location, metro and buses are nearby - I will came again.
- Groove Armada (8/5): Kitsch to the nth degree - The actually rooms themselves are a trifle dated & instantly forgettable (scarcely worth the 97euro asking price); but the retro-decor in the foyer/ saloon is an experience in & of itself. Think Buck Rogers meets Soul Train!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Basic hotel - not like 3 stars - The hotel is very basic, with small rooms. It is ok, if one only uses the room to sleep there. It definitely does not look or feel like a 3 star hotel, rather like a hostel or maybe a 1star hotel, bit run down. The rooms were clean, however we had bed bugs in our room (we saw them and got bitten). They claimed they never had the problem before. We changed to another room for 2 nights and it was ok there. So maybe it was just a one time event. The surroundings are fine, right next to a metro station and there are also shops, restaurants, cafes,... They also have few parking spots in a garage for a car.
- edwin (8/5): PRETTY DECENT HOTEL - good hotel for price. close to metro and restaurants and grocery, bakery etc. Free wifi and PC at lobby.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Decent stop before heading to airport - This hotel is fine if you need a place to stay before heading to the airport. You are closer to highway so the travel time to airport is cut down by about 15 minutes as compared to staying in the heart of the city. Overall, the room had everything we needed, but it does feel like a dorm room. Service was not stellar but sufficient.
- mike (8/5): - nice hotel for the price, excellent location, typical European hotel in regards to room size. Beds are due for replacing but not the worst on our trip.Very friendly staff and wonderful patisairrie next door. Steps to Metro
- Sandra (8/5): Close to metro and bus station - Hotel is just near metro and bus station and there are good conections to all must see sights. We did not choose breakfast, because for that money is possible to buy bread and other cakes right on the streets near hotel. Room was realy small and there is almost no place to put baggage. Room was cleaned every day and towels were also fresh. If you come in Paris just to oversleep is this good solution.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel for the price - I'm glad I found Superhotel. It was right by the metro, was clean, and was soooo quiet. The bed was comfortable, and the tv and a/c worked. Couldn't ask for more.
- alex b (4/5): Good location but... - rooms very small and in poor condition
- Verified traveler (2/5): Unimpressive night in hotel eerie. - Dreadful. A night without sleep in a sauna like cupboard, masquerading as a room. They should have paid me for enduring it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): OK - The hotel is right next to Gambeta metro station, the decor is 70's but it was clean. Not for a romantic trip in Paris, but OK for just sleepovers.
- Loredana (8/5): Quite OK - This hotel is located literally 1 minute away from the tube, and the area is very lively, and not far from the Pere Lachaise Cimitery. The decor is "70s" style, and our room on the top floor could have done with some refurbishing. But everything worked ok, the room was clean and the sheets and towels were changed every day. The room was a little bit too warm, so we had to open the skylight window to get some cool air in. It was very nice to have free wifi!
- Peebles (8/5): Not bad! - The place is old, and a bit run down, but folks are friendly, bilingual and are willing to help with just about anything. 24 hour door access (with a guy at the desk). The rooms are small and old, but functional and clean. A great place to stop in for a night or two while in transit.
- ul (6/5): You get what you pay for - Located in the East of Paris, this small 2 star hotel is low on frills and room size and reasonable for its price. It is practically next to the Gambette metro station on the Gallieni Line which makes for ease of access to the rest of the city.If claustrophobic, best to avoid this hotel! The room was tiny and there was barely space to get around the bed to the window, while I literally could not move in the shower alcove which flooded every time I used it.
The staff where positive, friendly and helpful and made the stay pleasant. It is very clean and well-maintained - it is the sort of place to lay your head between visits to the amazing sights in this great city. There is a great patisserie 2 doors away with cheery attentive staff and brilliant food, also.
