Guest Reviews
- Simone (10/5): -
- Ann-Katrin (3/5): Mouldy room! Don’t stay here - The location is perfect and Patrizia was very nice. Everything else horrible. There was mould all over the room. Toilet didn’t work (got fixed later), all the beds were much smaller than stated. The tv didn’t work and WiFi was slow and worked spontaneously. Some electrical input wasn’t functioning. The was no bubble bath. Overall low standard and did not match the text on the website.
- Virginia janette (9/5): El trato de Patrica exelente, todo muy bien 😊 solo lo de las toallas - Excelente No nos cambiaron las toallas en los tres días
- Elisa (9/5): -
- Magdalena (10/5): It was great - Great location.
- Sibylle (4/5): -
- Paul (10/5): - Patrizia was welcoming and offered advice on where to visit and where the locals eat. The location was a 5 minute stroll from the Colloseum with buses and trams nearby. The room was perfect and comfortably house 2 adults and our 17 year old son.

- Piccolo (10/5): - Świetna lokalizacja. Czysto. Cicho.
- Martin (9/5): - Cerca del Coliseo, bastante tranquilo para descansar

Laura y Marco muy amorosos y atentos Nada

- Mariya (10/5): Perfect - Patricia is just wonderful. The place is in the center of Rome, a step away from the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. Close to the Metro and everything you need to visit. If we come to Rome we already know where to stay. The perfect place and the perfect host.
- Filinski (9/5): Bardzo fajne, klimatyczne miejsce z przyzwoitym stosunkiem ceny do jakości. - Bardzo dobra lokalizacja i urokliwa okolica. Dobry kontakt z personelem - udało nam się umówić późniejszy check-in. Mieliśmy drobne wyzwania związane z przygotowaniem pokoju, ale udało się je zaadresować dzięki współpracy z personelem.
- Mikołaj (7/5): -
- Shandilya (9/5): - The host, Patrizia, was super nice and helpful. The location is as good as you can get, close to all major attractions in Rome, and a metro station very close by. The room was great as well!
- Alfonso L (6/5): - Breakfast was advertised as available, but the availability was a few blocks away and not included. We stayed 4 nights but only had housekeeping after the first night. The property was located very out of the main area.
- Melissa Reigh (8/5): - Walking distance to the Coliseum which was great. The restaurants in the area are tourist traps for the most part and the area is loaded with scammers. As for the room it was a good spot to sleep. There was mould in the bathroom and on a pillowcase and there wasn’t any access to wifi but other than that the room was great. Staff were very knowledgeable and kind and quick to answer requests. It’s an easy spot for taxis to pick you up and a 15 minute walk from the subway. Overall good experience!
- John (10/5): - Patricia was amazing. She went above and beyond anybody's wildest dreams or demands, she was happy to help any. Way that she can, she runs a very beautiful, beautiful hotel. It was a pleasure to stay under her roof air super should not be done
- Alice (10/5): -
- carina (7/5): Great place cost-benefit - Patrizia was amazing with us, always in contact in whattaspp and she recommending us the best places to visit and to eat.
The local is very near from the one most important attraction Coliseu.
It has a little kitchen were we could cook some little meals and it was great for us!
It is not the perfect romantic place to stay but it´s a great cost-benefit! Our room was half under ground and the clean of the room could be better.
The furniture it very old and dark, however because of the price you cannot expect much more.
- Dana (8/5): Good for tourist purposes - This vas very acceptable place to stay in centre of the tourist area. Not giving much service but the proprietor was very kind and assisting where needed.
- Gary (8/5): - Nice place, great location. Clean, safe, helpful staff. Simple, unassuming but perfect for the price. Cafes right nearby, metro stop close by too.
- Bret (10/5): - Accommodation were excellent. Very close to the
Colosseum and Roman Forum. Also lots of restaurants all around.
- Laura (6/5): - The host was very nice, and easy to check in with. She also coordinated transportation to and from Airport, very nice of her. The actual place is very small, and the furniture is very old, the TV service was nonexistent, the room safe did not work. No place to secure valuables. The location was ideal, easy walking distance to a lot of attractions, the Colosseum a few minutes walk from unit. Also paid an additional charge of 48.50 euros so called tax, but the payment had to be in cash only. The bed had two mattress and one was higher than the other one
- Simon (8/5): The location is great, the room and bathroom were clean- just wouldn’t book 3 people there again. - The location of the property is very close to the colosseum and only a 10 minute walk to the metro; very convenient for getting around Rome. Tons of restaurants nearby. The room was clean and the bathroom has been updated. The room was tidied up each day and garbage removed which was appreciated. The room is advertised for 3 people to stay in but it’s really quite crammed. Only one chair to sit on and no place to really lay your luggage. Also, the bathroom needs some drying racks. There were only a couple of small hooks for the large bath towels.
- Wood (9/5): Lovely friendly and very convenient to attractions perfect. And Rome is great loved it. - Patricia was lovely and helpful, room was very clean and comfortable.
Great location for everything we wanted to see and for restaurants.
Would definitely stay again on next visit recommended.
- Krizia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (4/5): An ok stay for 4 nights - Extremely tight washroom. Not much room in the bedroom as well.
- Elizabeth (5/5): Passable -
- Iryna (9/5): Your Rome city break in a very heard of the city centre - Strategic location, Patricia is very friendly. Just walking distance from Coliseum and metro. Highly recommend for short city break. It’s located at the historical place. So everything is a bit old.
- Lapierre (8/5): Very enjoyable ... - Our host Patrizia was very helpful. She gave us a lot of tips and assisted with recommendations regarding eating places, organisisng taxis etc ... We have been satisfied and thought we got good value for money. The location was excellent. Walking distance to the main highlights .
- Matthew (10/5): - Great location, everything you need within a 5 minute walk. Rooms are very clean with everything inside of them. Patrizia the owner is a great host and helps with whatever you need.
- Edmund (8/5): - Host is very friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent next to the Colosseum and many restaurants. It was very hot during our stay and the air conditioner and fan were not enough to keep the place cool sadly. Internet was slow.
Overall, a good place to stay maybe not in a heat wave.
- Ivan (10/5): Fantastic Stay Right Next to the Colosseum - I had a fantastic stay at this hotel right next to the Colosseum. The location is unbeatable! The rooms were nice, clean, and well-maintained. The cleaning service was excellent. Patrizia, the owner, was very nice and gave great recommendations for attractions and restaurants. Highly recommended!
- Andy (5/5): Great location and good for backpackers that need a place to sleep. I would not recommend it for families. - Location, walking distance to colesseum and restaurants.
Staff is great and very helpful. Room was small, amenities were not up to par.
- Nino (8/5): Very good -
- Anita (8/5): Very good - The location is perfect as it is located at a quiet street and very close to the Colosseum which is gorgeous. It was amazing to have a view of the Colosseum whenever we passed by. It took us 10 min-walk to the metro station and a few minutes to the bus stop. We ate food and gelato at the nearby restaurants. You can also buy groceries and food at a nearby 24-hr supermarket. It is valued to book such an apartment in a great location The hot water for bathing didn’t last long and the blanket for the single bed wasn’t warm enough
- Miguel (8/5): - It was a good option, but it was a Bed with no Breakfast and they were announced as Hotel. Clean service was not available on Sunday and they don’t change towels frequently.
- Besjana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Весела (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to stay in Rome. The location is perfect. Quiet and peaceful street near the ideal center. The hosts are super friendly. BIG Thank you, we'll defenetely stay in your hotel again if we're coming to Rome soon.
- Safiye (5/5): Passable -
- Job (8/5): Very good -
- Thompson (9/5): Lovely host, best location. Thank you Patrizia and Patty for the lovely stay - A kettle would be nice
- Kevin (10/5): - Excellent location
- Mitchell (9/5): Superb -
- Cecilia (9/5): Good place for the money and location. - Location, place and Patrizia is very helpful.
- Gillian (8/5): Pleasant stay near Colosseum - We had a pleasant stay. There was however a lack of natural light but window can be opened, giving a view at street level. Not in the room during the day so not really a problem. Room was cleaned each day and there is a decent shower. Welcome drink provided in mini fridge which was a nice touch. Host made us welcome and answered any questions we had.
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexia (10/5): Exceptional - Close to everything. Daily cleaning. Patrizia was super fast to respond to any questions and needs. AC in one room great. In other it wasn't as strong but still very comfortable.
- AMELIA (10/5): - The property is in a perfect location, the rooms are small but nicely decorated, Patrizia was really nice and attended our needs .
- Beavventura (6/5): Nice host but rooms need improvement - The host was super nice and welcoming although a bit late for letting us in. She gave us recommendations for food and itinerary and was extremely responsive. The location was excellent, a short walk from the Colosseum and bus and metro stops. The bed was quite comfortable. Bedsheets were clean and the free water and drinks plus access to the kitchenette were a nice touch. The stay was overall good There was no window or vent in the toilet so the bathroom and room got humid and smelly quickly. There were also signs of mould in the bathroom. Duvet and cushions weren't very clean. The room furniture could be more functional as it was quite chunky and there wasn't much space for the hand luggage.
- Hannah (3/5): Poor - right near the colosseum uncomfy bed, air conditioning didn’t work, loud noise from the street
- Anonymous (8/5): We enjoyed our stay at this hotel a lot. The room was very clean. We were offered to use a common kitchen where we could - The property has an amazing location. Colosseum is right at the corner and there is no problem to walk to other monuments. It was a bit noisy since it is right next to the street.
- Graziella (7/5): Good -
- Lauren (9/5): Superb -
- Anas (8/5): Very good -
- Paris (1/5): Was a big mistake choosing this place. we just didn’t want to go back to our room every night. - it’s next to the Colosseum and many other monuments. it’s a semi-basement. From the window you can see the wheels of the cars parked right outside. There is mold all over the room and the smell is the worst for your health. we didn’t have wifi through out our stay. It was not traceable. sheets were never changed and we stayed for four nights.
- Joseph (6/5): Pleasant -
- Attema (4/5): had a nice vacation in rome but would not book here again - it’s a very great location, and the host is super super nice. she gives u a map to let u see all the nice things in rome. there was mold in the room and the bathroom.
- Janet (9/5): Ideal location walkable to the stellar sights in the iconic Eternal City - A truly great location, a few steps from the Colosseum, the Forum and Palatine hill, and easily walkable to other breathtaking sites eg the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon - with so many lesser-acknowledged sites in between. Some gorgeous restaurants, bars and breakfast options within a few minutes and a safe, quiet neighbourhood. We also wanted to make special mention of our host, Patrizia, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. N/A
- Lana (9/5): Comfortable stay with a wonderful owner and an amazing location! - Everything was excellent, Patrizia, the owner is super accommodating, knowledgeable and gives good advice on things to do around the city. The room was very clean and had everything we needed.
The check in and check out were both super easy.
The location is just amazing!- a short walk from the colosseum and lots of good restaurants. The bathroom is a bit tight and the beds could be a bit more comfortable but both of these things are totally manageable.
- Jpatel (10/5): - The guesthouse was in a brilliant location. Very close to the main attractions all walking distance. Property is clean and check in was all easy. Good restaurants all within walking distance from the property. Very reasonable too.
- Charles (4/5): Unimpressive at best... - Generally disappointing.
Air conditioning was broken. Hot water was scarce and inconsistent. Loud street with lots of traffic and trucks unloading
- John (8/5): - Excellent location on a quiet street but close to a variety of restaurants and the Colosseum. The property was very much like the picture and the internet, TV and the like were great. No real negative points.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent location, good value, welcoming host. Don't expect views, basement location but it is ok.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Welcoming hospitality, recommended many places to visit in the area
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay. The property is conveniently located next to good restaurants and a quick walk to the Colosseum and metro station. The neighborhood felt safe and lively. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. The beds were extra comfy! For the price, Colosseum B was a bargain!
- Cindy (8/5): - Patrizia, our host, is amazing. The room was comfortable and clean. The area is close to cafes, restaurants, and shops. The colosseum is right down the street.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Our hostess Patrizia was amazing! She was so helpful with a late check in, directions and advice. The location is wonderful. At one end of our street was the Colosseum, and next to that, the Metro stop. Architecture and infrastructure at its finest!
It has been a very wet spring and our garden level room was quite damp, including bedding and ultimately, our clothing. We only had one set of towels for the 4 nights we were there, and they never dried. A dehumidifier would probably solve that, or if Italian weather had not been so unusual.
In all, however, the good outweighed the uncomfortable, and I would stay there again.
- Dale (10/5): Overall an A - This is a very nice place to stay. It is a safe neighborhood and is within minutes of the Colosseum. Near a Metro route and near a Hop on Hop off stop. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Also near 2 ATM and grocery stores.
- Rosangel (8/5): Awesome place to stay !!!!! - The location is great, its a very nice place to stay, you feel very comfortable, the room is very nice and clean, the attention is great Patrizia is Awesome, very helpful and very friendly....if you are in Rome stay in this fantastic Hotel.
- Martin (8/5): - There is mis-representation in your hotel description which states that ‘breakfast is served in a nearby bar’
This is not the case as breakfast is not provided!
I think compensation is in order for two breakfasts as stated
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic accommodation - Fantastic accommodation, one of the best locations in Rome! While not overly fancy, everything you need is provided. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - i stayed there in june me and my wife the location was really great cant say anything bad about that. but the room was horrible the air conditioner was weak and couldn't even feel it. the bathroom was dirty look like mold everywhere. i did not enjoy the hotel at all.
- Patricia (10/5): Don't miss this terrific place!! - Fabulous location - only 3 blocks from the Collesseum! Room frig didn't work but am sure it is fixed by now and we were given access to the entire kitchen - making it like a small apartment! Alex and Patrizia are the BEST!!! I actually left my wedding gown and 3-4 expensive jackets (still don't believe it!!) there and Alex got them all packed up and sent by UPS to our next stop in Sorrento! Awesome service!!! Be sure to put this on your list in Rome - at the very top!
- Fred (6/5): Nice room, but not a traditional hotel - This is not for everyone. Saw a human on the first day and we were there for six. Room not cleaned every day. Location is good: couple blocks from transportation, eateries, and sights. Get your own breakfast, but most places are not cheap (one fried egg was $18). Gives you great insight into the typical Roman neighborhoods.
Three side notes: maps are not accurate (three inches can equal a 10 minute or a 45 minute walk), churches can be closed at the priest's whim and waiters don't get tips so services sucks!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Comfortable Hotel - The hotel was in a great location and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to visit Rome.
- euna (10/5): Thank you patrizia - Thank you patrizia! It was lovely to meet you and stay in a wonderful location
- Peter (4/5): Terrible Guest House - As one stays at a guest house one knows service will just not be like a hotel because it is not. However, good service, 'no-excuse' service and cleanliness are, at the minimum, expected. We stayed ar room #2. These are the facts: David, who is a manager of the house told us he was an "action man", but tgat stayed as mere words. The AC was broken, it even lacked some buttons/knobs - he's response: "Open the window, it is cool outside, so room temp will be nice." AC was never fixed so actually we had to maintain the small window open (a window that is a street level in a really noisy street particularly very early in the morning. The beds and room cleaning was supposed to occur daily, it happened only twice in a five days stay. Furniture is way run down (obviously not maintained). Toilet lid was incorrectly affixed, so sitting was not comfortable adding to it that the roll holder is intalled in a very inadequate location. There were several old air freshners evidently to hide the odors of mold and humidity that were obvious as one entered the room after a day outside. Very sad experience. Location is good taking into consideration its proximity to the Coloseo, but that's about it.
- Wayne (10/5): Different but good... - Colosseum B is a small guesthouse not a hotel. It's exceptionally well located with only a few small but well-furnished, clean and quiet rooms. There are no staff on site. A few hundred metres to the Colosseum, Forum and Metro - it's a terrific place to stay and there are some very good restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Highly recommended especially if you're over regular hotels.
- Sherry (10/5): Roma Holiday - I could not say enough about how Great we were treated. They were awesome.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to Colosseum - Very close to colosseum, restaurants and bars close by too. Close to metro subway.
- Jagdeep (10/5): Very Impressed - Excellent service!
- Khaled (10/5): Excellent B&B - We Spent great time in Rome, the Colosseum B was perfect, it was very clean and the service was excellent, the location could not be better, 5 minutes walk to the Colosseum, you can even see it from the door step. Basically what you see on their website is what you get.
Valter, Daniela and Dario were very kind and professional, they helped us in every possible way, they even helped us book our train ticket to Venice, and Dario drove like crazy to get us to the airport on time after we lost our Bus.
if we ever visit Italy again we will definitely stay at the Colosseum B.
Thank you Valter, Daniela and Dario.
- Jessie (8/5): Great location and value. - Rooms face on a (very) noisey street. With no AC you need to leave windows open so, bring earplugs
Bathroom could use a good scrub.
Bed is very firm.
- Jennifer (8/5): Nice place, good location - Great location. There is not a 24/7 desk/concierge service.
- Jim and Wendy (8/5): Very good location - Valter was very welcoming when we arrived he made us a lovely espresso coffee and showed us all the places to visit. Our room was a good size and very clean it was on the ground floor and it was at street level so it could be quite noisy if you had the window open. It was very comfortable and was very homely if you want a hotel experience with all the facilities than this is not the place for you but a very good place to stay when visiting Rome restaurants were near by if you did not want to travel far.Thank you Valter for your making us very welcome and for your hospiitality we had a lovely time.
- Tom (8/5): Happy we chose this hotel - The hotel was in a great location, within walking distance to the colosseum and metro station. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. Helped us to find the places we needed to be. The room was a bit smaller than I thought it was going to be but didn't bother us as we were there to see the city not the room.
