Guest Reviews
- Giulia (10/5): Consigliato! - Ottima scelta, proprietari gentilissimi e precisi. Alloggio perfetto, pulito e letto comodissimo. Tutto perfetto
- mark (8/5): - wonderful location, convenient to a young and hip restaurant row, and both bus and subway connections. giorgio is a warm, gracious, and informative host. our only complaint is probably more with expedia than giorgio, in that the listing of the property did not make it clear that this was a bed and breakfast (not a hotel) in which we'd be sharing a bathroom with two other couples. we enjoy a b & b experience, and indeed did so with this one, but it was something of an unpleasant surprise that we had not our own bathroom.
- curt (10/5): Rome stay - Giorgio was a great host and the place is nice. Not in the center of town but quit and in a nice place with plenty of places to eat near by.He was very helpful on which buses or trams to take to get around.Would stay there again if every in Rome again. We talked several times about going to concerts.
- Shuk Fan (8/5): Everything is good but shower facility to be impro - The owner speaks fluent English. He's nice and provided us with useful transport information. Everything is good but the warm water (shower) became cold for a while, then have to wait for 1 to 2 minutes to get warm water. After some minutes, wait again.
Consiglio a tutti, ciao ciao Moreno e Giacomo.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not very comfortable - If you are going to stay in rome for tourist reasons then i would not recommend staying In this area. It is not connected to the main tourist areas by metro. All you have is bus 81 which is always full and comes every 45 min if your lucky. The area has a lot of bars nearby but none of the locals are actually eating food there. We ate at one of the restaurants and it not only cost a fortune but the food was just heated up. I know this because I asked them to leave the meat out of a dish and they said " it is all premade". It takes a long way to get anywhere in rome on bus 81 and 1.50$ euro per a trip. The place was not difficult to get to but once you find out how long it takes, it is a put off. The mattress needs to be replaced pronto! Oldest and lumpy mattress I have ever used. The place is shared with 3 different rooms and you can hear everything. The hosts are wonderful people but the place is really run down. You dont actually save any money here so u should choose one closer to the colosseum if i could redo.
- Yi-Fang (8/5): Warm service - Warm host and good service, with breakfast.
- Jonathan (10/5): Very nice stay - I had a very nice stay with my mother. The host Giorgio is a very kind man and made us feel at home. The place is the best you can get in Rome for a relatively low budget, if you are travelling with a companion such as your mother or wife.
- Yunjung (8/5): Very kind host and good for value - -The host was very kind and helpful.
-Close to public transportation.
-Very close to restaurants and bars in Pigneto, we really had nice night outs every night.
-Mattress was old but room was clean and had a balcony, breakfast served in the balcony, also shared bathroom was clean.
One downside was they only accept CASH (room rate and city tax).
Overall was good, we will stay there again!!
- robert (10/5): Excellent place, host and neighbourhood - Exceptional stay here in Rome. Beautiful real life feel to the place, rather than run of the mill hotel. The host was so friendly and was happy to help with many questions etc. Loved the balcony with many cactus plants. A charecterful place. It's not a hotel, it's more of a lived in feel. That suited us fine. Interesting lively neighbourhood.
- Helen (10/5): beautiful little bnb - My boyfriend and I had such a lovely stay here we stayed in the bedroom with the en-suite, it was spacious and decorated with original interesting art peices. Giorgio and Fulvio could not have been more kind and helpful. We had a gorgeous breakfast each morning, itallian ham, cheeses and bread and Fulvio even remembered our drinks orders, Lovely touch. Giorgio was so helpful and welcoming when we met him and told us how to see the best of the city by traveling on the 81 bus all the way to the end of the line. We had an amazing 4 nights here, the terrace for breakfast is a great touch and even though it's shared with other guests, the way it has been thought out gives you privacy by having a small trellace dividing up sections so each room has it's own private area. This place is serious value for money, the surrounding area is fine. I wouldn't advise going out alone at night too far if you can help it, (I did one night to get a take out and felt a bit intimidated) but Thats the same anywhere really and just my experience. It feels a much safer area than around the termani, with lots of lovely local bars and resturants. Thanks Giorgio and Fulvio for a really authentic itallian stay. I hope you will have us back to stay again in the future. Thanks Helen and Andy.
- Robert (10/5): 3 Days in Rome - Travelling with wife and teenage daughter. 1st off Giorgio was great. Picked us off at airport and dropped us back for less than and quicker than public transportation. The 81 or 810 bus is convenient to main attractions, but the owner is happy to recommend ways to get around and sights to see (but plan ahead, Rome has lots going on) The neighborhood seems decent enough with local and touristy restaurants and we had some wonderful meals within walking distance. At first it may be intimidating to see such a variety of people out late at night, but that's just how Italians socialize, if you go anywhere for dinner before 9 PM you will be eating alone. We had the room with the bathroom, it as comfortable clean and relatively quiet. You could hear the revelry in the streets below, but had absolutely no problem getting a good night's rest.
- ajmer (8/5): Its not an Hotel.... Infact its a Home. - fantastic.... The owner is the too helpful. Closer to your main touristic destination.
- Jiri (8/5): Nice apartment - Perfect location. Very nice and helpful owner. We enjoyed the style of apartment. Good location. Many nice restaurant around apartment. Would love to come back!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Decent but not such a comfortable Location - This place is nice in theory but it is kind of located in the Ghetto of Rome. There is graffiti everywhere and the area is just overall kind of sketchy. If you are into that whole city rough around the edges feel then it is fine for you. We were a little nervous about the area and the Tram that takes you there gets unbelievably crowded (as in everyone shoved in like cattle pressed up against each other and more people just keep getting on!) which makes you highly susceptible to pick pocketing or having your bag sliced open and stuff stolen. Many people including the owners warned us about this so we were extra careful and had no issues. Overall it was not a bad experience but I probably would not stay here again just based on the location. The owners were nice enough. The breakfast was just salted ham, salami and some cheese, and toast and weak instant coffee but there was also really good juice.
