- Nina (7/5): A good hotel for work - great location, very clean and good value if you book it in advance. - I asked to change room from the room I was originally allocated (by the fire escape), which was very small and pokey. The new room which overlooked Chiltern Street was much better and much bigger.I liked the White Company bath products, the location was excellent, it was very clean and I thought the breakfast was good - particularly the granola/muesli, fresh berries and yoghurt. My room was really cold and I found it hard to get warm, even in bed! I really didn't like the first room that I was allocated over the fire escape - there seems to be a big discrepancy between the fire escape rooms and the ones overlooking Chiltern Street for the same price. Everything else was good.

- Marie (7/5): Angenehmes Hotel im Zentrum - Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war bei diesem Hotel sehr gut. Wir haben es für einen längeren Städtetripp gebucht und waren zufrieden. Sehr gute Lage (da nur zwei Minuten Fussweg von der Baker Street Station), schöne (wenn auch etwas enge) Zimmer, Ausstattung (Bügeleisen, Föhn, W-LAN) und gute Kommunikation mit dem Hotel (bspw. Check-In vor Ankunft möglich). Gelegentlich hatte ich allerdings das Gefühl, das Zimmer wurde nicht komplett gereinigt (genauer: dass das Badezimmer nicht mitgeputzt wurde). Zudem wohnten wir im vierten Stock und der Lift war während unseres Aufenthalts kaputt, was ein wenig unangenehm war.

Not much soundproofing- you could hear other room doors and conversations clearly. The breakfast staff were cranky and not happy when we helped ourselves to coffee a few minutes early.

We were staying on the 4th floor and the lift was not working, it was a bit of a trek up and down the stairs, not ideal with bags and for older people. breakfast was very limited, no fruit apart from apples no porridge and no egg cups for the boiled eggs!!!!

- gaelle (7/5): - L'hôtel est idéalement bien placés à côté du métro, bus ce qui permet d'aller rapidement dans certains quartiers. La literie est plutôt confortable. Ce qui a été un plus c'est notre arrivée le matin avec notre chambre qui était déjà disponible ! Petit bémol sur la chambre triple qui est petite avec de la moquette au sol qui pourrait être évité pour les personnes ayant des allergies. Le petit déjeuner est bon mais pas assez variés et il n y avait plus certain produits à 9h sans alternative. Le personnel du petit déjeuner prenait la vaisselle sur notre table alors qu'on était encore en train de manger.

- julie (8/5): très bon rapport qualité prix pour Londres, dans un quartier très calme à 30mn à pied de SOHO. - Chambres de taille tout à fait suffisante, et très propres. Literie de bonne qualité. Salle de bain petite mais très fonctionnelle. Hôtel très calme, dans un environnement chic et très sûr. Personnel très agréable et serviable. Le petit déjeuner est correct, avec un buffet assez simple mais complet. Déception sur les viennoiseries qui n'étaient pas forcément du jour... et dont la variété était un peu limitée (des croissants, et quelques chausson aux pommes en quantité très limitée et qui part très vite).

There were wonderful eating places near by and small shops and pharmacy. Near Harley street and Oxford street and train station and bus routes. The hotel had a lift which was great. The man at check in gave me wrong room, and had to show my booking was for executive room. They had no vegan options for breakfast. Just cereal and fruit. The breakfast staff were constantly tidying my table while I ate which I found rude. The fridge was too small and overheated in its enclosure.

- Ahmed (3/5): Great location, cramped rooms, noisy environment - Location As a business traveller I have booked this hotel 4 times before for a single night, due to its proximity to work. The rooms are small but practical and the location is great. On my last visit I was given a room that had been rejected (for good reasons) by the lady checking in before me. I was expecting a single or small double room but was given this rejected room even though the reception staff could clearly see that I had overheard the entire conversation with the lady. The room had 3 single beds laid out in a way which turned a small room into an uncomfortable tiny space. The only way to get around the beds and into the bathroom or back through the door was to walk sideways and bump into the wall hung TV. I couldn’t reach the bin and an additional electric heater ate up all the space inside. I had to rearrange the furniture to get some space for a bag, There was a fire escape door in the bathroom which was bizarre and the hotel elevator was right next to the front door. This meant I could hear the voices, shouting and conversation of guests/hotel staff into the early hours of the morning. The basic function of a hotel is to offer its guests a good nights sleep, on this point the Blandford failed miserably. Also the croissants are still stale even though this has been mentioned several times in guest feedback and breakfast options are limited. Reception staff need re-training as it is unacceptable to give a repeat business customer an inferior room to solve a problem. Loyalty isn’t rewarded at the Blandford. There are multiple hotel options around Baker Street tube station, taking people for granted is not a good way to keep your repeat customers.

Close to Baker Street tube station and only a few stops from King’s Cross. Within walking distance to Oxford Street, Hyde Park and Trafalgar Square. Carpets in room need replacing. - Keyvan (1/5): - I booked a stay at The Blandford Hotel through Booking.com and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with how the situation was handled. When we arrived at the hotel, the first room we were given had a mattress that was severely bent in the middle and curved like a banana, making it completely unusable to sleep on. After raising this with reception we were offered a second room, however this room had visible stains on the headboard directly above the pillows and other maintenance issues which raised hygiene concerns. Because of this we left the property within minutes and did not stay overnight. I provided photographic evidence of the issues. Despite this, Booking.com stated they were unable to reach an agreement with the hotel and offered only a small amount in travel credit rather than resolving the matter properly. I have always used Booking.com and trusted the platform, but in this situation it felt like the customer was left without meaningful support even when clear evidence of the room condition was provided. I hope Booking.com reviews cases like this more carefully in the future so that customers are better protected when accommodation clearly falls below an acceptable standard.

- 523klarab (2/5): NOT for families - NOT AT ALL suited for families. The "family room" is not family friendly. The price unjustified. Two adults and a 10-year-old really struggled to get ready mornings and evenings as the there wasnt enough floor space to walk on! two of us needed to climb on top of the beds to let the third person get into the bathroom. we each had a backpack and a small suitcase. together with our winter coats and heavy boots it felt so uncomfortable and packed. a buggy would not fit. a real shame to mislead bookers as it is a well situated hotel. only recommend for single occupancy or couples who don't mind being in tiny rooms in tiny beds. the breakfast area is below floor level, not really worth mentioning or trying. we complained without being taken seriously. the answer received after chasing twice: "note that all room features, including the exact size and available amenities, are clearly specified on our website at the time of booking. We always encourage our guests to review these details carefully to ensure the room meets their expectations." Thus, dear reader, know your hotel room sizes next time when booking any accommodation and do not expect any compensation.

- CLOUDio (3/5): For the money and rating of the hotel, I am happy that I didn't got a cold. - The Hotel has a very good location but this all about it. Every ask was like, sorry, we can't change or do anything... Arrived I got a room near the entrance. I complaint as it was very cold and then I got a room at the 4th floor. The room was cold and heading works only if you have the card plugged in. So imagine when you are coming back. Also for shower the warm water takes more than 20min. The safe was closed and not ready to use.

- jay-c2012 (10/5): Great location - A perfect base for an overnight stay as a family for a theatre trip. We were in room 44 which was clean, modern and had a lovely bathroom with standing shower too. The lift up to the higher floor was welcome and the staff were polite and helpful upon check in. Good quality WiFi meant I could work from my room no issues at all and we had a good, well balanced breakfast before check out too with lot of choice. Will definitely return.

- Patricia (10/5): Ideal location for walking around London. Smashing restaurants and facilities around the corner - Room was small but perfect. Staff were lovely and helpful. Location was ideal and the hotel easy to find. Could not be better. Lift was small but fine for 2 people and luggage.Breakfast was very good.
