- Stephanie (4/5): - This property is 2 star at best and you will be paying for proximity to transit and landmarks. Many amenities listed on the Expedia page are non-existent and/or severely exaggerated. The walls are paper-thin (you hear absolutely everything, all conversations, tv, toilet, water running, closets closing, snoring, everything! - For items that are missing but listed on Expedia website and basis as 3 star : no safe, no coffee maker (1 reception area but you have to pay), no kettle (1in reception area for all of hotel), only hand soap and shower gel available. The rooms are beyond tiny but not really an issue just FYI with all. Else. When I asked about the missing items and said that this was all false advertising, the rude manager said that they do provide a kettle (it's 1 kettle that can only be used in the lobby and for use by all hotel guests!!) - if i would have known how awful this place was I would have booked one of the other 2 hotels that were actually 3 stars. This place is a joke.

- Alexander (8/5): - We would definitely recommend this as a budget hotel for anyone planning a city break. It was only a 30min walk from the centre and there were many bars and restaurant within 5 mins walk. The hotel was basic but more than adequate for what we wanted. Bathroom was small but clean and modern.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad service! Don't book this pension. - Don't go there! I have booked a room for almost 140 Euro. When i arrived there, they told me that they are overbooked. I had to go to another hotel which was of much lower quality. Pension Andreas told me, that it has the same price. But the staff at the other hotel told me that the rate is 72 Euro.... Well Pension Andreas tried to cheat me. Further i had to walk 20min to the new hotel with almost 30degrees, Pension Andreas didn't pay me a taxi. What can i say? Just a horrible service!!

Otherwise the staff was very friendly and offered great advice and the morning breakfast was very tasty and wide variety of food choices for its size. Lots of good restaurants around the area and only two blocks (400m or so) away from Rathaus Platz(city hall).

- Ilze (8/5): Tæt på centrum - Meget tæt på centrum, men i et stille kvarter. Hotelet befindes på 3. etage i ejendommen. Morgenmaden var meget ensartet, men det var ok, hvis man er der 3-4 dage. Man skal går til morgenmad tidligt, ellers der er ikke ret meget tilbage. Check ind på hotelet indtil kl.21.00., bedst indtil kl.16.00, ellers det kan være, at der er ingen i receptionen.

The service in reception was always great. The only thing was that the room should have had AC and a safe , as described in hotels.com….however they don’t have any room with those things. But I guess that was a fai from the hotels.com website… Next time I visit Vienna I will come back to the hotel.

- Verified traveler (4/5): - The look of surprise. The moment we approached this hotel, things have already gone wrong. The entrance didn't even look like an entrance, and the receptionist was unfriendly. It got worse when we entered the dark and hot room, realising that there was no air condition. Our jaw nearly dropped at the sight of the small and dark toilet, with barely enough space to move around. We could hardly sleep with the heat and the slanted bed, worrying that we would fall off the bed while sleeping. One of my family member was bitten by bed bugs. In conclusion, we would never go back to this place with the price we paid.

The entry way to the hotel from the street was dark and dusty which didn't give us a very good first impression. The elevator was appreciated, though ancient and tiny. The two men attending the desk during our stay were both very nice, which was reassuring. The room was basic. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. Overall, it was a bit of a 'cultural' experience.

The staff is friendly, very helpful. The breakfast is very good. The hotel was located 10 minutes away from the University of Vienna, 5 min2 away from the Rathouse. I really recommend it.

But it's a wonderful little place - incredible quiet, very convenient to the metro, and a very nice breakfast included. They were happy to keep our luggage before check-in and after check-out so we could maximize our time. Only downside was slow WIFI. :)

The hotel itself is located inside an older building and you have to ring the outdoor intercom to be let in the first time and, when inside, navigate to the left side where the "pension" is located. Excellent breakfast served with hard-boiled eggs, bread, cheeses/sliced meat, fruit, cereal, yogurt, etc. The main downside is that the hotel front desk clerks, except for one, were unfriendly which was a disappointment. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay!

- R (8/5): - Albergo comodo per la posizione in centro, a soli 5 minuti dal municipio (Rathaus) e a 20 dal Hofburg. Inoltre, molto comodo con la metropolitana (fermata Rathaus, linea viola). Per quello che si spende, per il tempo impiegato in hotel e per la comodità è ottimo! Lo consiglio ai turisti! La colazione non offre un'ampia scelta ed è principalmente salata ma è buona comunque. Putroppo non posso tralasciare la mia esperienza con il receptionista. Io e una mia amica non siamo state accolte con entusiasmo. Sul sito, è scritto che il check in e la reception chiudono alle 23:30. Sono arrivata in aereoporto alle 22:30 circa ma ho riscontrato un inconveniente nella mia valigia rotta e per questo motivo ho impiegato tempo al "bagagge reclaim". Sistemata la questione, ho preso il treno CAT e ho subito chiamato l'hotel informandoli che non sarei stata in grado di arrivare alle 23:30 ma probabilmente un quarto d'ora dopo. Inaspettatamente e con arroganza non necessaria il receptionista mi ha risposto, senza scrupoli, che non era pagato dopo le 23:30, quindi in quel quarto d'ora avrebbe "fatto volontariato", concludendo che se non fossimo arrivate entro quell'ora, ci avrebbe lasciate fuori! Alle 23:44, eravamo alla reception e ci ha consegnato la chiave... Io capisco che abbia orari fissi ma credevo, allo stesso modo, che averlo informato sia stato corretto, soprattutto dopo aver spiegato (e mostrato all'arrivo) il motivo. Lo consiglio per la comodità ma non per gentilezza!

Once past that point, the rooms and service were great. We only stayed one night and were in the hotel for very little time but it served its purpose.

It's ideally located near Rathaus subway station and within walking distance of many of the points of interest in Vienna. The standard rooms aren't that big, but big enough. The rooms are pleasant enough, about what you expect for a 3 star hotel.

- Tracey (6/5): Older hotel - NO Air Conditioning - Stayed one night in Vienna. The hotel is in building shared by other apartments. It was old and despite the description, there is NO air conditioning. That was evident as soon as we walked in. It was old and stuffy and the 'lobby' had a fan at full blast. When I asked about the a/c as advertised, the man said airconditioning means a fan. The room itself was fine, old, but we were able to open the windows wide and with the fan, made it bearable. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. Our main issue was the lack of information and helpfulness of the staff. We were given information on parking and was told it was 15 euro/24 hours to park. We opted for the parking they suggested and when we left the next day at 9 am, having only parked since the afternoon the day before, we ended up paying 37 euro! Crazy! The man also said he double checked Expedia and Hotels.com and revised the description to show no a/c. It's been a week and it's still showing the hotel has a/c. For the money, we wouldn't stay here again.

- Tristan (8/5): Hotel Pension Andreas, Vienna 21-24/6/2016 - I had a very good experience with Hotel Pension Andreas. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the city centre but prefers a relaxing and quiet neighborhood. It is near most tourist spots, underground, and around the corner you can find a good biergarten restaurant and a grocery store (Billa). It is a good value for money hotel.
- Anne (10/5): Old world character which gives value for money - This hotel is in an excellent location. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the center of Vienna. Good access by subway. It is not new and glossy, but a pleasant character building. It is clean and breakfast comes with the room. The staff are very helpful. We had many and varied requests and the staff coped with everything with helpfulness and aplomb. I would go back.
- Alexander (8/5): Great value hotel for short stay - Had a really good time. Was much better than we expected. The room was nice and spacious and lovely and warm, considering it was very cold outside. The location is great, as you're just a short walk from the underground, which is only a couple of stops from the main shopping area, Stephansplatz. The only real downsides were lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the breakfast was very much geared towards European guests. But there was still plenty of fresh food to get you set for the day. Overall we would both recommend this hotel, and would definitely return again!

Small but clean bathroom (shower is separate from toilette which is in another small room). Enough storage space. The location was very good, walking distance to the university and various cafes and restaurants and close to the subway station. We would not mind staying here again.

- Murray (6/5): Adequate for a quick stay - This was a quick overnight to Vienna to visit Christmas Markets. The hotel location is good, and it's easy to catch the U-bahn and get around. The room was small but adequate, but the walls are thin, we could easily listen to the conversation next door. The breakfast area is tight if many are eating. The staff is fine and very helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Short Vienna Vacation - We were in Vienna for a weekend vacation. The hotel is in a good neighborhood and very close to the old city (if you don't mind walking 15 minutes). The pension is at the second floor of an old building. While it is not fancy, we liked the friendly staff and the good location. The included breakfast was also good. For the price you pay it is a good deal.

Walking distance to the city centre (about 25 mins) otherwise a short metro ride. Breakfast was included. If with a car do get the parking card from the front desk. Overall, a pleasant stay.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Basic hotel in good location - At this price don't expect luxury, the building is old but with character - large old staircases, a shared courtyard etc. The hotel is on the second floor of a typical apartment block surrounded, it seemed, by Viennese people, rather than an international hotel that could be anywhere. There is an ancient lift but at least half a dozen steps to reach it, so you will need to negotiate that with your luggage. Rm 38 was a small twin room with slightly peeling wallpaper - fine for 1 person, probably a bit tight for two. It was beautifully cleaned every day. No air-conditioning, but the thick walls meant the room was at least cooler than outside and a lovely large window opened over the courtyard. Breakfast was included in the price, unlike many hotels, helping to make this a good price - muesli, yoghurt, bread roll or bread, jam, boiled egg, salami, cheese, cucumber, tomato, tea, coffee, juice drink. Wireless was free of charge with perfectly reasonable reception in my room. There was also a guest computer than could be used and printing e.g. of boarding passes was possible (apparently) for a small price.
