The things we didn’t like were the quality of the paint on the walls, specifically around the shower and curtains not wide enough, too much brightness when the sun comes up. For the rest, good service and a lovely receptionist. Thank you
- Barbara (4/5): - Disappointing Shower Experience The room itself was OK, but the shower situation completely ruined the stay. The main showerhead didn’t work at all, and when I called the front desk, they said it was broken and I had to use the handheld sprayer instead. The handheld barely had any water pressure—just a trickle—and it was impossible to even rinse shampoo out of my hair. By the time the third person tried to shower, the water had turned cold, and the handheld sprayer came off the wall. When I mentioned all this at checkout, the front desk staff came to inspect and claimed we had broken the sprayer ourselves. She also insisted that the weak water pressure and lukewarm temperature were “normal.” If you care about having a functional shower during your stay, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Very convenient location… with a stroller and multiple bags, we essentially just had to cross the major bridge by the train station and a semi bridge and everything else was flat. The front desk while not always there was very clear and nice when we had to get things done. It was pretty easy. The bathroom seems very modern as if it was recently renovated. Not the brightest light in the bathroom but good enough.

When i got the albergo i understand is a 1 star hotel but the conditions were unacceptable the toilet was located all the way in the third floor shared by everyone staying the hotel. in my case i had a private shower. but as a person who really doesn’t care about the stays this was unacceptable i’ve stayed in various 1 star hotels in this trip and they have all been clean and with private bathrooms . I think this should not be considered a hotel, it should be considered like a more elevated hostal. Beware when booking here. It’s also located near the station but a 30 minute walk to Piazza San Marco . The area looks very rough and sketchy at night.

- Hoan (10/5): Location. Courtesy front desk. - Great location! As it is a 1 star hotel, we booked it for location. With 1 queen and 2 twin beds, it was good for my two teens who wanted separate beds. It was safe, very close to everything, 14min walk from the main train/ferry station, and had a great restaurant right next door. Every corner in Venice has shops around. Check in and out was easy and friendly with the front desk or after hours. Some minor things are that the AC for our July visit (90 to 95 F outside) was barely enough to cool us down during the daytime but good enough for at night. I would ask for the AC to be turned on before arrival if it is going to be a hot day outside. The room that we stayed in had a sink counter that had some soft spots that needs to be repaired, and the shower hot water was a little weak in flow to get it working, but all was cleaned well. The room was a little tight, but enough to walk around our 5 luggages. The wall facing the street was well insulated, but the wall to the next room had conversations from the occupants that we can hear easily. When we could not book an early train out to Florence (book early as those early trains get booked quick, ie 2 to 3 days before), we had to book the 12:26pm train out (I booked the night before), so they had courtesy luggage storage for us to wonder around Venice until then. 4.5 Stars due to location.

The rooms were old (but this is typical for Venice, as all buildings are original), but the bathrooms were renovated. Our room had a glass door shower in the bedroom, which was fine for us as a couple, but maybe for families this may not work (not all rooms may be like ours). If arriving by train or bridges, it’s only a 15 min walk (and you only need to carry your luggages over 1.5 bridges!). The area is quiet, and away from the super busy touristy part of Venice. It’s about a 25 min walk to St. Mark’s square.

Not only was our room air conditioned and inviting, we had a small set of stair to our bathroom and a door leading to a small little patio space. 12 min from the train station and easy to find after getting lost in Venice constantly. Thank you for a wonder stay.

The room is very quiet and the next door attached restaurant was excellent. We slept well, the shower hot and the bed comfortable. Also not far from the people mover stop a 7 min walk. Totally recommend buying the water bus option to get around Venice.

- Kiet (10/5): - Venice is a small place so real-estate is at premium. The room is large enough. When I arrive, the greeting was done by a waiter from the restaurant next door. He rushed me thru showing the key and the internet. He has not interest handling this at all. There is no daily service as I expect in a normal hotel.

- Melissa (8/5): Nice place - Nice place to stay. We could get by foot everywhere we wanted to go, so it was a plus. The room was clean and had the shower and a sink in it. Service was great. The only down was that since the building is old, it got very noisy especially in the morning. The cleaning staff was starting their job too early sometimes (first day was 8AM) and we could hear pretty much everyone coming in or out of their rooms all the time, because of the slamming doors. But overall, we enjoyed it !
- Sarah (10/5): Lovely hotel, lovely people, good location - I stayed here for 4 nights with my adult daughters, 5 minutes walk from the Piazzale Roma and well placed for walking to Rialto Bridge and St Marcs square. We had a triple room on the 2nd floor with a balcony over looking the street which was lovely. There was a shower and sink in the room and the toilet was on the 3rd floor. The room was very clean. We were warmly welcomed on our arrival. I would definitely stay here again and look forward to returning in the future

- Brent (10/5): Great deal; AC is big bonus. - This hotel is a bargain. Definitely worth the fee; has a great AC unit which can be rare in this area. Nice balcony to hang clothes if you need to hand wash in your travels, and spacious shower. Definitely worth the price if passing through or for a home base as you explore Venice.

- Karina (10/5): Highly Recommend! - This was our first stop on our honeymoon and it was even better than we expected. It is a bit of a walk with luggage from the bus terminal but still doable. The location is awesome - tucked a bit off of the main tourist path but not far at all from the sites, food, and transportation. Our room was great and the balcony as well - other than the mosquitos (the hotel provides a repellent though!). The staff were extremely welcoming and very helpful.

- Hamid (8/5): Ok for one night - The Hotel room was very small, there is a bathroom in the room but toilette is shared in the hallway which is clean and safe. The hotel is located 10 minutes from la Stazione di Santa Lucia and very easy to find. I would say its too expensive for its value.

- David (10/5): A Happy Visit - This older hotel was a very good choice. It does have steep stairs, which might not suit everyone but were fine for us 60 year olds. Quiet and comfortable. Nice street access -in the city, but not far from the train station. (In respect for those who live in this over-crowded tourist city we tried to avoid rumbling suitcases through areas where Venetians live and work. Stayed closer to the station, carried packs.) The friendly owners were welcoming. A variety of eateries, suprisingly good access to everything, church bells and birdsong in the morning. Lovely!
- sptb (8/5): Clean, reasonably priced for Venice, great staff - Gianluca left us clear instructions for self-checkin when our flight got delayed beyond the checkin hours. Everything worked and we got into our room without a hitch. The room was a bit hot and stuffy as it was on the 3rd floor, but the air conditioner couldn't be turned on. We got by. Next morning as we were heading out, I described the situation and the staff gladly offered to leave the AC remote in the room, and we had AC that evening. Great!
- Portmaid (8/5): Good Budget Hotel - Very easy to find from station! We were a bit unsure of the 'self check-in' initially but it worked well and we were in and settled before we knew it and enjoyed the freedom the system gave us. Our room was a little small as we were a mother and teenage son but it wasn't unbearable. The room was spotlessly clean and the furniture was lovely and we felt in keeping with the city. The room was cleaned and tidied to a high standard everyday. We met the staff the next morning and they were very friendly and helpful. We loved this place!
