- Erin (10/5): - We stayed in one of the suites. It was very spacious with a king bed and bunk beds around the corner for the kids. A lovely view from the balcony of the river. The only thing we didn’t love was that the shower and bath were right in the room with no doors so there wasn’t a lot of privacy when showering and sometimes the water sprayed a bit into the room area. The restaurant downstairs was lovely and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I would recommend this place for its great location.

- juliette (4/5): Bad plumbing/good breakfast - We arrived to a shower that was broken and immediately flooded the bathroom floor into the main floor. No one was around or responded to our requests for help. The breakfast however, was very nice.

- Susan (6/5): - While conveniently located near Friedrichstrasse train station, there was something vaguely depressing about this hotel. It seems to be part of a redeveloped office building. Allegedly, there is a sauna and a steam room, but I saw no signs and the staff did not mention it at check-in. The floor of the room I was in appeared to be concrete, and it was covered in a sort of woven plastic “carpet”. Very hard, and you have to wonder how (if?) it gets cleaned, especially when there are cobwebs and dust on the walls. Cleaning in general was a failure. Housekeeping left dirty glasses and utensils in the room, but put them back on the tea tray in a way that suggested they were clean. Disgusting. This place was fine for a short stay, but with so many other hotel options nearby, I would not stay here again if I were going back to Berlin.

- stian (6/5): Berlin maraton - Besøkte hotellet grunnet nærheten til starten ved berlin maraton. Hotellet var svært sparsommelig med dusj inne 90 soverommet. Fin lokasjon med nærhet til sentrum.
- Glenn (4/5): - I had a suite. It just felt all sorts of dirty. Scum on tiles. Some sort of rubber carpet which felt sticky. The place is run down and needs a facelift. Literally one tissue in box and it wasn’t replaced / refilled when room cleaned. Incredibly disappointing all round. $350 odd a night I expect much better. Didn’t even have body wash. Just shampoo and conditioner.
- Allan (6/5): Great Location, no frills hotel. - Hotel location is great, plenty of restaurants and walking access to all areas of Berlin. It is very much a basic hotel that utilizes one floor of a building. it was clean but definitely a no frills hotel. Coffee maker in the room. If you are looking for somewhere to sleep and explore the city this is a good option but if you want to stay and relax in a room then this might not be the best option.

La struttura si presenta come un labirinto in cui ci si perde. Check in auotmatico esterno (innovativo) ma anche privo di privacy perché compili il tutto in strada e davanti a chiunque stia passando in quel momento con i tuoi dati sensibili in bella mostra. Colazione discreta e inoltre non era indicato da nessuna parte che si pagasse a parte né c'era il personale a cui chiedere. Percio dopo una discreta colazione che pensavo esser inclusa nella prenotazione, ho avuto l'amaro conto di 18,50 euro (un furto), Considerando che altrove per molto meno ho avuto colazioni "da re". Unicamente la posizione é buona

- Holger (8/5): Gepäck vom PKW ein und ausladen sehr schwierig . - Bei der Ankunft und bei der Abfahrt kann man leider nicht vor dem Hotel mit dem PKW vorfahren um seine Koffer usw. auszuladen bzw. wieder einzuladen. Gerade für ältere Menschen ist das sehr hinderlich. Halten an der Hauptstraße( rechter Fahrstreifen) beim Feierabend -verkehr am Freitag hoch riskant Die Bedienung am Frühstücksbüfett war höflich, freundlich und entgegen kommend. Endlich mal in einem Hotel gab es ein 5-Minuten Ei (nicht hart gekocht)

- Verified traveler (8/5): OK but not the best - Great location and having a balcony was really nice too, however, the bed is really hard, the pillows are so soft even when using two it is insufficient, and the floor is actually some type of hard plastic which is annoying to walk on barefoot. Also, you have to check-in yourself using a kiosk so there is not actual service!

- Ryan (8/5): - The first gentleman who worked there said my room wouldn't be ready until 3p. It was 2p when I got there. Anyway, he asked me to check in at the kiosk which was weird and cumbersome...especially because I couldn't read the screen. The lady who worked there saw me struggling and helped me and checked me in right away. I also though the pillows and sheets need to be thrown out bc they were old a worn. The room was weird bc the shower was next to the bed and the toilet was in a tiny room that's hard to sit down in for tall people. That said, I liked the hotel's location near the water and not far from the train station. I would probably stay here again but they need to update some of their service procedures and bedding.

I love how central the hotel was from all the major spots was; there were plenty of restaurants, bars, and parks nearby. I would definitely book it again in the future.
- Richard (10/5): Great Hotel for Location & Price. - Great location. Close to main train station. Hotel about 5 minute walk. Close to all Berlin has to offer. Brandenburg Gate @15 mins walk. Lots of restaurants and bars situated around the hotel. Clean and tidy. Air con in room. Staff were helpful. I would definitely stay here again when I return to Berlin. I was on a tour and persuaded a fellow traveller to book a room here as his accommodation wasn't very nice.

- Annette (10/5): - It was our first time visiting Berlin with two teenagers. We stayed for two nights. I we were upgraded to a suite with river view and balcony which was fabulous. Room was spacious and comfortable with all amenities, the skier was particularly nice. The location is excellent, all main attractions are within walking distance. Subway and tram are just outside the hotel. One evening we had dinner at the Italian restaurant which was a delicious. Fantastic to sit outdoor at the river. Overall, I cannot fault the hotel, all staff were super friendly and helpful. Will stay there again on our next visit to Berlin!
- Beatrice (10/5): Mein Nr. 1 Hotel in Berlin - Für mich waren die 2 Nächte im Hotel Neuer Fritz ein Traum: eine wunderbare Lage, dennoch hatte ich ein ruhiges Zimmer. Auch das Frühstück kann ich nur jedem sehr empfehlen. Ein großes Lob geht an das Personal, die einem jeden Wunsch von den Augen ablesen. Gerne komme ich bald wieder!

- Maira (6/5): Pictures look better than real room - The room is okay but the pictures seem much better. The room doesn’t have a mini bar, iron board, closet space… It’s more like a private hostel room than a hotel. And in the middle of the city center so expect huge amount of nose at night. That being said the room is good enough, the bathroom is huge, the location is excellent and the breakfast tastes very good.

The heat was off, with no instructions on how to start- there was a tablet, but it was uncharged. Tv didn’t have connection to anything. The hotel comped breakfast, but the room was not worth 159€

- Verified traveler (8/5): It was ok - We got ourselves a room, nice view to the canal but above of our room, we keep hearing kids running around, my husband couldn’t sleep, the next day he request for room change and the staff got us an upgrade to the suit. It’s slightly better as in with more amenities and newer, room size about the same but weird design, shower without a door, totally transparent. Staff was helpful and their Italian restaurant is fantastic!

- Michelle (2/5): Hotels.com is a joke - Absolute joke. nothing against the hotel itself, because I never stayed there. I could not travel due to COVID restrictions. After spending two hours on the phone with Hotels.com, they promised to cancel the booking...instead, they charged me the full amount of the stay. Apparently they never heard of COVID variants or State Department restrictions because they "can't" reissue my vouchers when COVID again prevents me from travel. So I lost $700+ on this hotel stay and two other hotels in Europe. Never using hotels.com again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The Spree Suite was super clean and modern with an open concept plan and a comfy bed. Lovely soaker tub to relax in at the end of a day. The best part is the location. Close to all the Berlin hot spots and great restaurants with a great view of the spree river. Would highly recommend.
- Robert (8/5): Really big rooms. - The room was amazing. The view exceptional. It just took a long time to check in as the receptionist could not get her head around why there was 2 rooms on one booking.
- Verified traveler (2/5): NOT a hotel, no reception, - 1. It is NOT a hotel, but serviced rooms. 2. Old towels that even had holes in them! 3. The room was not cleaned after the first night. 4. Rooms unfinished: broken shower, broken window, the heating did not work (it was 9°C at night at chilly in the room), the tablet referred as a control system in the pictures was not present in the room. 5. No reception. No responses via call or e-mail to questions/support requests. 6. The rooms are allocated in the 3rd floor of a residential building, e.g. you share exactly the same old and not so nice elevator as the residents. 7. 7 days after complaining and still no reaction has been taken. 8. This "hotel" really ruined the atmosphere for a cozy weekend my couple an me were looking for! 9. Don't be fooled by the fancy pictures. For me: never again, for the price you can get a real hotel with breakfast in an equally good location in Berlin (!).
- Vic B. (10/5): Super-cool hotel in fab location - The design of the room is cool and it was very comfortable. Best was the fantastic view on to the river Spree. I found it very hard to find as the hotel had changed its name (to Neuer Fritz) and hadn’t notified me. But it’s great and I will stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Upon check in the guy at the desk showed us to our rooms and explained everything. Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. The view of the river from my room was beautiful. The room was huge ! Rooms had the normal cups and plates and a kettle all you really need. If I come back to Berlin I’ll be staying here again.
