Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Staff friendly and helpful but ruined by the lady that checked me in who was distinctly rude and unhelpful. Property clean and well maintained but terrible ordour in bathroom (self contained0. Had to leave window open in winter and repeatedly spray with body spray when going in. need strong air freshner but better solve the issue causing the strong sewer smell.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Basic and clean. - The room was very small, mattress not the best and internet choppy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very clean, staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast was feeling and tasty, but the best part is an evening tea with fireplace going . Fireplace room is cosy, with board games, relaxing atmosphere. My youngest son learned how to play chess ( or at least got a taste) . Tea was delicious. Location of the hotel is an extra plus too.
- AJ (10/5): - Great folks including the student at reception. Very helpful and friendly. Great property and location.
- Tarja (10/5): - Bra läge. Fantastisk personal, rent, bra frukost
- David (10/5): - The staffs were friendly and the room was clean. The room was cleaned daily. Definitely an excellent experience.
- Suman (8/5): Helpful staff - staff really helpful...had to extend trip by a day and they made it effortless. Needed help with getting hot food to eat at 10pm which was also great
- Guido (8/5): a decent place to stay in London - A decent place to stay in London, room seemed a little cramped for four people, bathroom was very small, staff was nice, basic breakfast, no iron available
- domenico (6/5): - Lo staff molto gentile.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Ihanan Vanhatalo. Aamupala yksipuolinen. Siist huone mutta kulunut huone
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Imøtekommende og hjelpsom personalet. Bra rengjøring i vår studioleilighet . Lyst og fint. God beliggenhet .
- D (2/5): By far the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in London - I stayed in many different hotels over a 20 week period in London (for a work project).
This has by far been the worst stay.
Firstly, I arrived and there was no one at reception, I rang the bell many times and no one came for over 5 minutes. When the woman did arrive she was rude and demanding of many types of ID and even my home address? I asked why all the information was needed and she couldn’t tell me why, but wouldn’t let me stay unless I gave all of it.
Next, I asked for an iron and ironing board and was told (very rudely by the curly haired woman) that they’re ‘not allowed in the hotel’(?!?). What hotel doesn’t allow irons and ironing boards? They shouldn’t be allowed to take business bookings if this is true. I have stayed at this hotel one time previously in their annex building, where there was an iron so it’s all very confusing.
The room was disgustingly dirty and stank of sewage throughout my stay. Doors are very loud and bang when closed so I was woken up every night around 4/5am by doors being banged and people (sounded like staff) speaking loudly.
Avoid if you can, plenty of better options available throughout London.
- Geir (8/5): Behagelig hotell, for opplevelser i byen. ☺️👍 - Vi besøker byen, for å oppleve masse. Hotell ikke viktig, bare vil sove i god seng. Frokost ok. Rolig strøk å bo i. Bodde på rom mot bakside av hotell. Ingen støy fra trafikk. Tror kanskje rom mot gate, opplever mer støy, men bedre utsikt... 5 dager i London, veldig fornøyd med opphold 😃👍
- Audrey (8/5): - The rooms need alarm clocks or phones. You cannot get a wake up call. Also the site isnt explicite enough. You should know up front whether it is en suite or no. We didn't. Plus another couple checking in didn't know about their room. Staff extremrly nice, helpful. Breakfast was doable (missed hot foods).. Hot drinks in lounge very appreciated.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The location of the place is very doubtful. On our way there two people pretended to be police and asked us to search our bags and wallet( very unusual for a police staff). Nothing happened to us as we are good in making a scene to attract people nearby’s attention. Second event was we are going back to this place at 2330HR and as we are entering our code a lady is screaming nearby telling us to let her in. We didn't do it and we closed the door as fast as we can. Having this two incident I think location wise this is not safe. On the lighter note, their staff are superb. Ann their desk staff is very accommodating and when we relayed to her what happened about the police she encouraged us to report this to the police hotline and warned us that this incident happened to one of their guest before. The breakfast was perfect. No complains as everything is delicious and well put together. Cleanliness is amazing.
- Saraspathi (2/5): - Climbing up 4 flights of stairs was frustrating in spite of me complaining of a painful knee nothing could be done, apart from offering another room at a cost of 100 pounds more. The toilet and shower was in miniature size. It was so difficult to even turn around. Sink in ro clogged. Carpet under sink has grossildew. Room smely with old cigarette smoke and damp smell. Staff were pleasant tjough
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice neighborhood and friendly staff. Room was cleaned well daily. Bathroom is small, as noted by others; it might be tough for a larger person to move around in there. It was nice to have a little breakfast each morning. I know others commented on the breakfast, so I was not sure what to expect. It consisted daily of: hard-boiled eggs, croissants, 3 different cereals, bread to toast, jams, butter, cheese, juice, coffee, tea, and milk. So if you are expecting a hot breakfast, that's not what you will get. But it was good enough for me. And the staff was very good at replenishing food and beverage as well as cleaning tables quickly. It is a good location, west of the city. About a 15 minute walk to the tube station, but a short walk to the main street, where buses were running all the time.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staf was very Nice and everything was okay. The breakfast could have been more healty.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room is good, bed very confortable.
The common bathroom in the 3rd floor is extremely small though, making it difficult to move. I imagine that a fat person wouldnt even be able to get inside...
No water fountain or anything similar after the kitchen is closed. I came back to the hotel late at night and couldnt find a place to get some water.
- Alma (10/5): Great location and value - The value for money is good compared to other places in the are. The check in was quick, no issues though we arrived a little early and the staff was very nice and helpful.
The room was clean, small but that was expected, it is simple but functional. Our room was facing the street so there was a lot of traffic noise even during the night.
Breakfast was better than I expected after the reviews, yes it is basic but if you can't make toast/croissants with cheese and jam, eggs and cereal do then you need to go somewhere else. The staff was quick to replace whatever was finished.
Overall a good stay with my 8 year old, the location is excellent so I would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - good place considering price and location, good breakfast and very gentle.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was good but no kettle or water supplied wasn’t great especially when approaching hot weather
- James (8/5): - I've stayed here before and the price is great, especially for the area. There are some lacks -- mattresses aren't firm, and there are a LOT of stairs. But if you can tolerate that it works out well.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was friendly and prompt to attend to your needs. The property was very clean and cozy.
- Goran (6/5): Not the best - The room was ok but not great. It smelt a little muggy. The breakfast was rubbish. Hardly any choice and the ingredients were not good quality. Instant coffee, weak tea, stale croissants, and so on.
- Joey (6/5): - The staff was courteous and accomodating but the room was unbearably small, the shower was impossible to use without leaking water everywhere or having the curtain on your bum and the breakfast was literally the worst I have ever had on my 39 years on earth.
- Jamie (10/5): - Excellent hotel in Kensington; exceeded expectations. Staff was courteous and helpful, housekeeping was extremely reliable, the hotel was quaint and clean, and the included breakfast was a very nice and convenient inclusion. Would definitely stay again!
- Sara (8/5): Comfortable but basic - This as get good value for money, clean and comfortable if very basic. Bathroom Is on a separate floor, which didn’t bother us, but may be a problem for some. For London this was a good find. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was sufficient.
- Don (4/5): - I can’t be comfortable at any place without proper WiFi. I was told that were too many people on the WIFI at once. If they don’t have enough WiFi for every single room to CONNECT to at all times, then they should not advertise that they offer it at all.
Also the shower stall did not have a proper door or a proper curtain so water simply spilled out on to the floor every day. Thankfully housekeeping was there to clean the floor each day.
- Paula (10/5): Nice experience at the London Visitors Hotel - My son and I recently spent 6 days 5 nights at the London Visitors Hotel and we have such a wonderful experience. The personnel is very attentive. We stayed not at the main building but the annex. The room very clean, quiet and comfortable. I loved the location, very easy to get there by public transportation from/to Heathrow and to main attractions. Wonderful neighborhood.
- Phillip (8/5): Convenient and affordable - Convenient location and a fair price.
- T (10/5): - This place fulfilled all my expectations. It was a relatively good sized room with a small but clean and workable bathroom. Importantly, the room was clean and well laid out. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was basic, but was always well stocked and well serviced, although the breakfast room can get crowded during busy times. There is even a nice little lounge with a real working fire place that gives a very homey vibe. All of this for a very reasonable price in a nice neighborhood near to High Street Kensington’s shops and restaurants (there is also a pub next door). Regular buses pass nearby. Highly recommended. Only downside is that weekday Tube trains are a little bit of a walk away.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Was fine for the night for a family visit to london. Could have done with a extra pillow and a ketlle in the room
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It had a home like feeling all the staff were very helpful. Enjoyed the morning breakfast and being able to sit by the fire in the evening and have a tea or coffee. Close to public transportation. If you could not do stair this may be difficult for you as no elevator.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location. Close to ther site of interest , excellent transport conections
- Gary (6/5): - You pay for what you get. Went with no expectations really as £50 for a night in Kensington is cheap! So there was obviously a reason for that. No thrills hotel. Decent breakfast. Helpful reception. Great location. Short walk from Kensington Olympia tube. 15mins walk from Kensington high street.
- Russell (10/5): Excellent choice! - Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, convenient to local sites! Would definitely stay here again!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very quiet, made for a good sleeping. The breakfast was poor, I ended up buying food from the grocery store instead.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location excellent for Olympia, very reasonable hotel - no frills but suited our needs perfectly. Only issue we had was noise from room above
- colin (8/5): - The bed mattresses were box spring and cheap.
I almost walked out before our first nights stay but realised it would be difficult to find another hotel at short notice.
Service was friendly and the log fire made it welcoming.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good location close to bus stop and near several tube locations. Friendly staff.
- Shannon (10/5): - Great stay in a wonderful neighborhood, with a nice breakfast each morning. If you want a true bed and breakfast experience you will love it. Close to beautiful parks, resturants, and museums, bus stops are in easy walking distance. Very friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay.
- Stephanie (4/5): Not a good stay - The rooms were very nice but there was no water pressure, air conditioning and very small.
When I asked for a fan since the room was incredibly hot, they gave me a broken fan which was no good.
They did not seem to care.
- Tim (10/5): - Perfect for Kensington! This is an older building right in the heart of Kensington. It's not "The Ritz"...but it is a quaint little hotel in London. Everything is nearby...walk to the subway, get an Uber right out front. The staff is fabulous...very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay here again...reasonably priced...great location!
- Maximiliano (10/5): Great hotel to stay for a vacation. - Excellent people and services. The breakfast is delicious and had a variety of bread, teas, etc. The only down point is the internet connection and speed.
Location: is walking distance to public transportation
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff at the hotel were really great. They answered all our questions and allowed us to hang out at the hotel after checking out while we waited for our bus to leave. We were also able to leave drop off our luggage when we arrived before check in and leave them after we checked out. The room itself was also nice. It was spacious and perfect for two people to stretch out. The complimentary breakfast was also nice and simple but still filling. Also the location could not have been better to explore the western part of London. It was a 3 minute walk from a bus stop that had multiple buses for getting around the city.
- Rochelle (8/5): 1 night stay! - Our stay was great. You get what you pay for.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Fine - Great location - basic single room - no tv - shared bathroom - down 2 flights of stairs - not ideal after a few beers in the night !
- Leonardo (6/5): Ok overnight to Olympia Congress - Overnight for a Congress at Olympia - very close. Breakfast is ok.After 10pm your only option to eat is UberEats !
- Verified traveler (8/5): Tidy but tiny - Poor breakfast. Stale bread and warm milk all week. Excellent housekeeping.
- Elenita Magno (8/5): - overall experienced we had in London Visitor hotel was great. the only down side is when I asked the reception for hair dryer she said they do not have any for a regular rooms,. we are on the 3rd floor with very small washroom but updated,.but thanks to my husband he explored to the other shared washroom (2nd floor),they have it there,so we just sneak up there.we stayed for 4 nights. breakfast was great even though it was the same everyday but we enjoy it.
- Vlad (8/5): - Nice, friendly stuff, great location t Kensington Palace, clean
- Zas (10/5): - Nice hotel in a good location and very nice staff! The bathrooms and the room we stayed in were very clean and we did not have any problems while staying there
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean and comfortable hotel - Great value for money! Room is small but clean and have all the essentials. Clean and well kept hotel. Also it is located in a quiet residential area so it is nice to be back after all the hustle and bustle of the central London explorations.
- Brian (8/5): Breakfast - People were nice breakfast was a bit lame but a pleasant stay all the same
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place - Good location, with easy buses to city. Good breakfast. Room a bit small.
- Garry R (8/5): Pleasant stay. - Great stay, clean, good neighbourhood close and accessible to bus routes. Pleasant staff.
Reasonable and met our needs.
Would definitely stay there again.
- Evangelos (8/5): Value for money - Value for money for london. Located in a nice area. Was clean that it is the most important with comfortable matress.
- Nichelle (8/5): - The building I stayed in was actually about 1/2 a block away from the main check in. Super close to transportations. Only real issue was that the single I room boardroom bathroom and I particular the shower were tiny. Could just barely turn around in the shower or fit under the spray.
- steve (8/5): value for money - Good Value and clean though a little dated.
- Harry (10/5): Small Double Room, Annex Building - i stayed for five nights at Annex Building, which is another building. it was a Small Double Room: very clean, everything is updated(renovated fully), it was quite and fresh because maybe it is backside room. again it is at Annex Building
Free wifi is good and all staffs are friendly.
Nice continental breakfast also.
But, if you are Big size people, i can not recommend it. the bath room is too small for you even it is nice bathroom. i was ok because i am tiny. enjoy a trip.
- Andrew (4/5): Ruined by terrible WiFi and breakfast - Check-in was ok, room cramped but clean and airy. There are three wifi networks available but they were all awful and could not get a constant signal. The continental breakfast was plentiful but VERY LOW QUALITY - bread, pastries, and cheap processed meats. The "orange juice" was concentrated squash. Disgusting.
- Anna (10/5): Cozy traditional London hotel - I had a great stay here. It's vey cozy (tea is served in the lounge every afternoon in front of a roaring fire) and my room was quiet. The size was decent for a single room, especially by London standards. Good shower. The only problem I encountered was the wifi strength - I didn't get good reception in my room, and even in the common areas it was spotty.
- Andrew (10/5): Great B&B - I lodged there for eight days and will definitely stay here again on my next trip to London. First, the location is so convenient—only a block from busses running to three underground transfer stations. It is within walking distance of shops and restaurants—some very special —and only two blocks from Olympia. Westfield Shopping Center and its restaurants in one direction and Kensington High and its shops and restaurants in the other were so convenient. The rooms were extremely clean and modernized, even though the atmosphere is that of a Victorian home. While my room was very small (but the price value was outstanding) I spent some hours working in the sitting room by the fire, drinking tea and coffee from the endless supply, when I wasn’t making my calls or visiting attractions. And not to be overlooked—this bed and breakfast is family owned, and the staff was as helpful as one could wish. If you are getting there from Heathrow, take the Paddington to Hammersmith Broadway and transfer to either 9, 10 or 27 busses. Get off at Olympia and you are only a block away. Overall, it is a great value for business or sightseeing, and I highly recommend staying here.
- D (8/5): Good location. Cheap and cheerful - Good hotel for the money. Would definitely recommend
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing, very helpful and easy to deal with. We ended up staying an extra night and there was no problem booking it! I’m the perfect location for great food, shopping, and sightseeing.
- Kim (8/5): Great location - Enjoyed my stay at London Visitors and will return next time I am attending an event at Olympia Exhibition Centre. Only thing that concerned me was on checking out they had lost the photocopy of my passport with all my details (address, mobile, email etc) and requested it again. In hindsight I wouldn't have handed over my passport for photocopying in the first place as I am a British UK resident so wouldn't normally have had it with me anyway.
- Patrick (6/5): - Hotel was old but clean and very warm even with radiator turned off too stuffy breakfast was good hotel close to central London and within walking distance of Hyde park
- Matthew (8/5): - wanted with bath but is was not and had to walk a long way in the cold to a minute bathroom had bigger on the ship where I work
- Mikala (10/5): LVH - Excellent Stay - We had a great stay at London visitors Hotel. The rooms are small but it was perfect for us as we were out of the room sightseeing everyday. Breakfast was the same daily but was a nice complimentary meal and the wifi was excellent.
- Patrick (10/5): Great Place to Stay. - The London Hotel has to be the best deal there is in London. It is a fantastic place to stay.We will stay there on all our trips to London. We stayed there for 4 nights, great location , excellent breakfast, super clean. Don't usually write reviews but had to tell you how good this place was for the price. 120 pounds a night for 3 people
- Kristopher (10/5): Excellent food, location, and decor! - Definitely loved the breakfast!
- Ali (8/5): Nice place to stay - Apon arrival we were upgraded.. staff was excellent and hotel was pleasing. Only complaint would be that even tho room was cleaned sheets were clearly not changed. Other than that we were pleased and would recommend it to anyone.
- GEOFFREY (8/5): London visitors hotel - Hotel clean but basic with continental breakfast. The reception staff, Theresa, I found extremely helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Interesting room - Interesting room, second bed is like a bunk bed above the bathroom, works well. Would be a nice base to explore London from.
- Claudia R (8/5): Family trip to London - Nice and classic hotel, we stayed in a room for 4 persons, small as we expected, the only problem was with the shower's courtain due to it was little short and the water was all over the bathroom having to clean every time. The breakfast was really good and helpful to our budget. Coffee and tea every day at the lobby.
We loved that the bus stop was just to one block from the hotel and the tube was also ver close. The front desk very friendly and made our stay really nice.
- Jonathan (10/5): Very good budget accommodation. - Very good budget accommodation. Friendly staff and rooms very clean. It's old school, non-boutique and non corporate - and that suited us just fine. Other guests were all quiet and pleasant - a mixture of young people and families. The nearest tube station only has trains at the weekend but you can hop on a bus to Kensington High Street tube station at the end of Holland Road.
- Marie-Josée (6/5): Small clean room well located - My single room was super small but clean and comfortable. The reading room was lovely with tea and coffee. The breakfast was standards continental fare. The staff was very nice and helpful. If you're okay with minimal space this is a bargain for the location since it was not much more expensive then a nice hostel.
- James (8/5): - Great location for Olympic. Breakfast very basic, but room clean, staff helpful. Only downside is no iron to iron shirts before the expo show!
- Norman (6/5): Convenient hotel for London - A pleasant budget hotel, we were disappointed to find we did not have en-suite facilities and that there wasn't any facility for making a tea/coffee in the room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ok - Goof
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room would have benefitted from air conditioning- it was way too warm in the room.
Great location though.
- Marisa (8/5): Solo stay in central London for work - I had a good stay at this hotel. Bed was very comfortable and had a warm welcome at reception. The toilet and shower are shared but no queue in the morning. Clean room with little noise. Shop around the corner and near transport. Good choice for those looking to stay in central London on a budget.
- Pat (8/5): Nice hotel close to gastro pubs and Olympia - Room looked as if it had just been renovated and decorated with en suite shower room, but incredibly small, a 'larger' couple just would not have fitted in the room much less the shower! That being said, would stay there again, good breakfast friendly and helpful staff, and I am sure there are larger rooms available.
- Scott (10/5): Great value - I thought this was a great value and a convenient place to stay. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Shepards Bush Underground station and a large Westfield mall and nearby shops, and there is a nice pub right across the street from the hotel. The rooms were clean, and the lobby while small was pleasant. Breakfast is limited, but that wasn't an issue for me or my friends. I would definitely stay here again.
- Ben (6/5): Spooky hotel, but clean enough - This hotel kind of has a spooky element to it. I have to say that it was clean and the service was friendly, but there was definitely an element of the occult going on. I would recommend the hotel, indeed for the price and the service, both totally reasonable. In a city where people will over-charge you for absolutely everything, this hotel was a relief, albeit strange interior.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice small hotel and the stuff, especially Anna was very helpful and polite! The room was comfortable, very good for it's price!!
The only thing i would like to mension is to change the seets because we 've stayed four nights and they haven't change once!
Sure we will be back again in tha hotel!
- John (2/5): Try something else - After a bit of a jaunt to find the hotel from the Earls Court Underground Station, we located the hotel. Small multistory building. Not up to our standards. Room was described by inkeeper as "Executive Suite" . Room was about 8 by 10; bathroom very, very tiny. No operating window; no a/c. Could work for 1 person; definitely not an Executive Suite. Went to another hotel.
