Guest Reviews
- 486bjartet (2/5): Not a good stay in London. - Terrible room and bath. Carpet on the floor as dirty as You ever can think. Never again. Toilet and sink so close to the door to the room that you nearly sit in the corridor.
- jonaskV1242UT (2/5): STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!! - Stayed at this hotel for five nights. The staff is polite and friendly, and the location is good. However, when I arrived at room 15, I discovered several clipped nails on the floor. After the first night, I noticed multiple insect bites all over my body. At first, I thought these were mosquito bites, but they just got worse as the days went by. When I got home, the itching continued, most likely due to bedbug or flea bites. Simply put, the room cleaning was terrible, and there was no housekeeping during my stay.
- Kenneth (6/5): - The room stank of moth balls
- Stephanie (2/5): - The first room we were put in had a very bad smell, and the bed was as hard as a board. After our first night, we discovered a bed bug. After smashing it and taking pictures, we went to the reception. At first, they only offered to change the sheets, but when we insisted, they switched rooms for us. They sprayed the old room and our bags with some bug deterrent (which explained the bad smell in the room, as it was the same as what we smelled when we first entered). This led us to the conclusion that the room had had the issue before as well, and they had tried spraying it before.
The second room had a much better bed and less of the smell, so we ended up staying there for the rest of our stay instead of changing hotels.
It was a cheap hotel, so I did not expect much, but the bug issue made it really not great. If we had had the second room from the start, we would not have had as many issues with it, I think. There was some mold on the doorframe in the bathroom, though even in the second room.
- Michael (4/5): Needs new Mattresses - I was very unhappy with the condition of the place 1 the mattresses should of been replace long ago you can feel springs as you set on the bed. Carpets are so dirty I think they never been cleaned would stay there again never
- Garegin (4/5): - Broken bed, tiny bathroom, all in all, a run-down property. Good location though.
- Cristiano (4/5): - The Room needs update the cleaning better the wall on the room never seem a dust, the walls needs to be painted.
- Thomas (2/5): Filthy - do not stay here - I was given Room 13 and, to be fair the very pleaseant staff, there was no other room to give me when I asked. Multiple human hairs on the stained sheets and stained, stiff mattress. Thick layer of dust in many areas and sticky in others, like the carpet. The shower room would not drain property, so I was treading in about a half-inch of dirty water when getting ready in the morning. Bin in the bathroom was caked in something and obvioulsly hadn't been wiped in years. Honestly, the dirtiest hotel room I've ever had. I've been commuting to London for work for most of the past five years and, before now, never felt compelled to write a negative review.
- Wanderer23885877487 (4/5): No, just no. - We had a double twin bed room. The mattresses were in extremely poor condition, able to feel the springs and support slat when laying in bed. A small fan was provided for the room which did not help with the heat.
The room did have its own bathroom with shower (upgrading from a 1 star review) in s very small room. The toilet had about 12cm/6 inches on each side, with the sink about 16cm/8 inches in front of it. When standing in front of the sink my back was touching the closed door.
I would NOT recommend this hotel.
- Amy (8/5): Great stay - It was a nice stay for 1 night, bed was comfy enough, room was compact but cosy and didn't feel claustrophobic. Checking in was smooth and receptionist pleasent and friendly. The little step into the bathroom caught me off gaurd, i understand why it's there as it's a wet floor shower, maybe a sign saying mind the step might be helpful just to draw attention to it. Only one cup with tea and coffee station. Didn't end up using though so didn't matter to us.
Overall a pleasant stay and would stay here again we saw wicked and this was only 8 minutes walk from the victoria Apollo theatre
- Dean (6/5): - -
- Irina (2/5): - Dirty.Smelly.Uncomfortable.Smoking smells.Pillows-old and dirty.
Never again in this hotel.
- Stephan (6/5): - + location in the city centre, 500 m from the coach station
+ somebody at all times
+ shops like nearby
- very small 2.5x3.5 metres for 2 people, bathroom including
- no air condition, no fresh towels, cleaning through 7 days
- SIAN (6/5): - had no hot water, staff was friendly enough. room was ok. had to check out early with no hot water
- David (10/5): - Great stay
- Isaac (2/5): - Worst hotel I’ve ever been. First night couldn’t sleep because of bedbugs.
Took forever to get a new room.
- Boguslawa (6/5): - Close to victirua coach station
- Katherine (4/5): - Incredibly noisy! Bed was as hard as a bed of bricks. Unknown stains on the bed sheets and towels and hair on the pillow. The only upside is that it’s conveniently placed for a cheap price.
- Megan (10/5): Worth the price - After getting past the glassed in reception the place feels very homey and safe. It’s clean, larger rooms and the window as great. They provide shampoo, soap, and coffee. The shower is the entire bathroom so that was interesting for someone travelling from North America although it’s common in the UK. Despite what the listing says there’s no breakfast option anymore. The room was a bit loud both from steer traffic and other rooms. Overall convenient, safe and affordable.
- Andrew (10/5): Great stay - Nice and easy from beginning of the trip to the end. Rooms are small but that's to be expected. Room was clean and on a quieter street
- DavidG12857 (2/5): Save your money and pay for something that is not an OYO hotel avoid this company at all costs - On entering we were greeted in a disrespectful rude manner. They tried to say we booked 2 seperate rooms near each other when we booked as a couple in a twin room. There was no please when asking for my partners passport. On entering the room, we found the room to be extremely small, with stained bed linen, dirty carpet, rags for curtains a broken toilet seat, and mattresses that are like stone. The walls are thin and can hear the couples in the next room even when whispering. The place is a scam, they advertise only their most better looking bedrooms, but what you're actually paying for is something from a third world country. It is disgusting. We set out hoping to find other accommodation but with no luck. We had no choice but to remain there, with no luck of a refund. At 5am the next morning we were up and out of there and abandoned the room. Please.read peoples reviews before going here, I appreciate it might be because of low funds, but you're not getting a good service, you are treated like dirt. With the price people.pay for these bad rooms, they could afford to replace the toilet seats. That's another thing the bathroom is so cramped you best wear a face shield because your face will be kissing the wall while using the toilet. Only thing this place deserves, is to be shut down.
- moises10 (2/5): A SCAM PLACE. - A SCAM....CHECK REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING!!!!
Completely a disgusting place.sheets with stains ,wc lid broken, carpet dirty.stains on the wall....curtains rags.matress are as sleep on rhe floor.
.
- Samantha (4/5): Grim - Room was so tiny and was like a sauna. So unbearably hot and no air conditioning so I barely slept.
It was cooler outside.
Very noisy flats across from my room.
Shower water didn't drain efficiently so my things on the floor by the loo got soaked.
Strange orange stain on bed sheet.
I will not be going back.
- Karen (6/5): - In need of a refurb
Room clean & bathroom clean but curtains in holes.
Bathroom functional but tiny
- gme6 (2/5): Scam, they cancelled booking to try and charge me more for the same room - This hotel/company is terrible, a joke and probably a con. Avoid! I booked a room and received an e-mail stating they were sorry that I'd cancelled my booking. I then received a condescending e-mail stating that they had been trying to contact me (no missed calls or voice message) and had to cancel my booking. They stated that 'as a gesture of goodwill' they were refunding me in full. THEY HAVE A LEGAL OBLIGATION TO REFUND ME. A gesture of goodwill would have been to give a discount on a future booking. To add insult to injury, they then e-mailed me to say they were sorry I'd cancelled and that I could still book a room if I wanted. When I checked, the rate had increased. It's a con. There are many hotels in London - choose a different one. I'll certainly never trust Oyo hotels again.
- Michael (6/5): No thrills, does a job for a night or two. - It was fine. Booked for one night twin room for a mate and I. Just needed a place to crash for the night and could have a shower.
It's no thrills, obviously some of the decor is a bit tired and lacks in certain areas. But if you just need a base for a night or two and on a budget then this does this job.
- Art (2/5): Disappointed - Disappointed, the room was so small no room stretch, the bed was hard, I changed to another room even much smaller and the bed even smaller, and no even a chair can fit there, the bathroom the same way, oh the shower was cold and hot, could not recommend it.
- OLUWAMAYOWA TEMIDAYO (2/5): Ridiculous - Was lured with the double bedded mattress advertised on the website to book a terrible 2 single uncomfortable mattress that was set asides from each other. I had the most ridiculous experience at the property.. was a non refundable. My money was deducted from my card while making a reservation to make payment at the property. It was a FRAUD. I won’t recommend. Not a value for money.
- Dean (6/5): - It’s cheap and cheerful, shower was good and beds too but yeah it was fine but nothing special.
- Gary (8/5): - .
- Vanessa (8/5): - The hotel was located in a good area, 10 mins walk from the train station.
- ruthbL1179KK (2/5): Bedbugs - Bedbugs - I got bitten over 25 times.
Dirty .
Do not stay here.
There is no way to contact the front desk. It is very hard to make a complaint. After 5 phone calls I was given an email address - still no reply from them.
We had to walk through our ensuite to get to our bedroom
- Kevin (6/5): - Strategic point from the airport (Gatwick Express)
- Claudio (6/5): - An acceptable no-frills budget hotel in central London. The room was clean enough, though it was in need of some renovation and of some mould stains being removed. The mattress wasn't particularly comfortable, with clunky springs, but firm as I like it. I was in the room next to reception and there was noise throughout the night of people entering and leaving the hotel. The shower wasn't separate from the rest of the bathroom so the bathroom floor would all get flooded whenever I had a shower. The experience was okay overall - I might return here if it's the cheapest hotel in the area.
- P7604OSbenf (2/5): Hazmat suit required for room 13 - First of all, the hotel, and I use that term very loosely, changed my booking from a twin to a single without any warning or contact beforehand. The sizes of the rooms on their site are completely wrong as room 13 which I had the misfortune of staying in made Harry Potters cupboard under the stairs look like a luxury apartment.
Where do I start with the room? Well, the carpet was soaked through. I had to get towels from reception to put on the floor just so I could take my shoes off. The radiator was full of dust and dirt. There were patches of black mould in the bedroom and the bathroom was riddled with black mould and stank of damp.
If I had any type of asthma I would have had to leave. The hotel was fully booked by more poor unfortunate souls so I couldn't even be moved to another room or even the room that had been booked for me. All the receptionist could offer was the extra towels to put on the wet carpet on the floor and to tell the manager in the morning. I only managed to get a few hours sleep as I am used to a firm mattress but this was beyond firm bordering on solid. I had to sleep with the window open to ensure best chance of not becoming ill from the stay.
From the reaction of the morning receptionist when I raised the concerns again as I was checking out, I'm assuming there are lots of complaints as he wasn't surprised and wasn't slightly apologetic either.
Now doing everything I can to ensure the business I work for, never uses this site again.
- Jackie (6/5): - It was a fair price for london. Room and beds small, mattress hard otherwise ok
- 770StephenB770 (4/5): Miserable - Great location close to Victoria but a very tired, run down and outdated hotel. Mattress felt like it was made of concrete - beyond being called a 'firm' mattress! I guess ok for the price in London but you still expect some standards of comfort
- justinen533 (2/5): Tatty ,Tired and old fashioned - This is one of the most unpleasant hotels I have stayed in! The room was tiny, in the top of the hotel in the attic up 8 flights of stairs, and VERY hot. The bed was rock hard, although I'm told was a new bed. The furnishings were tatty, tired and old fashioned. Bathroom absolutely tiny- hardly space to stand, and felt grubby.
Having said that it was short walk into central London.
I certainly will not stay in this hotel chain again
- Aja (4/5): - Got what I paid for. Beds are actual bricks. No outlets next to beds. Shower not separated from tub. Had to walk up 8 flights of stairs. At least it's walkable to the Victoria Station.
- Choi Ho (8/5): - Convenient location
- B5754XAsarahb (8/5): Perfectly acceptable for the price... - Perfectly happy for the price... Yes the room was on the small side, yes the bed was hard, yes the towels weren't brand new, yes there was a bit of mould in the shower however this was less than £65 for 2 people on a Friday night in Pimlico in a fabulous location surrounded by beautiful buildings and loads of local bars / eateries. Twin beds with an en suite walk in wardrobe sash window and individual light switches also USB sockets (bring a long cable) Would happily stay again
- Ceres (2/5): - Do NOT stay here…there are plenty of hotels on the same street ( which we had to go). This is NOT a hotel, it is a guest house ( lower than your average European B&B)
The pictures here are misleading….we booked for 2 nights but when we arrived to check in, we were shocked. The entrance was narrow, smelly and the aisle was dirty…..so we decided to see the room before checking in - It was like a dungeon in the basement with almost no air flow and stuffy….we asked for another room, and I kid you not….to access this other room, we had to go through a bathroom. I kindly asked the receptionist for a refund, which he said he couldn’t, gave me the “hote support number “ which also said she couldn’t and told me to contact Expedia who ( fair to them) tried to contact the “unreliable and unreasonable “ hotel management to get a refund. in sum this dump of a place that call themselves a “hotel” didn’t provide my refund and I had to pay somewhere else ( otherwise we wouldn’t breathe)
- James (4/5): Poor stay, no response from disinterested mgmt. - I arrived late in the evening after cancelled flights to LHR, the property was easy to find, but that was about where the positives ended! The bed was incredibly hard and uncomfortable, the shower was very cramped, but the very worst part was that things were not very clean, especially in the bathroom. All very disappointing. I messaged the property about this to see if they would have their GM get in contact about the stay, but they haven't bothered, so I'm afraid I'm leaving them a negative review.
- Ka Leung (8/5): - good garden view and breakfast
- LYDIA (2/5): - Hotel was accessible though poor in condition, very uncomfortable pillows and mattress like a stones, taking shower and water couldn’t go down this would take about 2hrs when the whole bathroom is flooded meaning you have no where to step to use the toilet, no provided bathroom sandals so you have to stand in ur dirty bathed water, dirty tea trolley for 2days no rubbish was taken from it
- ZHIZHONG (6/5): - very small
- P4478PPmichaelw (2/5): The worst place ever, Please look elsewhere - I do not say this lightly.... THE WORST PLACE IVE EVER STAYED IN !
Tiny, dirty and smelly room.
Originally my booking was for 2 nights. I left the first morning as it was so bad, let me explain.
Walked into a tiny smelly warm room, the shower was covered in mould, the doors were covered with a dirty gel like grime. (see photos) The beds don't support anybody over 6 foot, your feet will be on the wall.
It was a warm room, I couldn't open the window because the receptionist was smoking directly under my window. The fan in our room was broken, I asked for a new one and was given one covered in dust. I had only one tiny flat pillow and when I asked for more, they said they had none. So I had to use some of my clothes.
I left at 930am after no sleep, checked out 24 hours early expecting a refund. After 2 weeks of conversation with a terrible customer service team - I was told the hotel manager wasn't going to give me a refund. Basically if you stay there, you'll think this is probably a bit of a budget option.... This will be the worst place you can stay. Buy a sleeping bag and sleep outside.
Please don't make the same mistake I did!
- 235celinen (2/5): Awful - The most uncomfortable bed I've ever had the displeasure of sleeping on. Our bed linens were dirty & stained, the bed side tables were sticky????? God knows what was left on there. So much dust and I'm pretty sure the carpets weren't hoovered prior to our arrival either. There was a sign on the front door downstairs advertising for a cleaner but no current cleaner is absolutely no reason to not clean one of your rooms to the correct standard. Do not stay here.
- Taiwo and Kenhinde (10/5): - Nice
- TiinaG (4/5): Ok.. - We booked this trip very late and it was very slim pickings. We did not want to stay too far from the city and also eacy access to underground+airport transport was a high priority-which this place delivered. So here goes.
Theres no elevator at the hotel but theres always someone in the reception ready to help carry your luggage. Staff working there was polite and helpful and present 24 hours. Wifi works.
The rooms are in different floors and some have very narrow staircases, like the rooms we had in the groundfloor. Rooms 1-4 are in the groundfloor and they are possibly not the best rooms in the hotel since there ARE some good reviews of this hotel.
I stayed in room nr. 2, my friend in room nr. 3. The rooms were ok clean but you know, carpet... and also mold or some other growth in both bahtrooms. There was a smell and we had to keep the window open the whole time. Bathroom was cold and damp, didn`t really ever dry up even with the fan. There was really no space for my suitcase since the only furniture in the room was the double bed. Theres also no space for clothes, other than coat hangers under a cupboard on the wall. The bed was very hard but it was perfect for me!
Rooms have a small safe but no instructions on how to use it(tho I`m sure we would`ve gotten help if we asked). There are well worn but clean towels, provided only by check in-we stayed for 4 days and there was no new towels or emptying of the bins. Theres soap and shampoo and these rooms also had a kettle with coffee+tea. You could get more up the stairs from reception. There is no breakfast but we ate at a lovely place called The pimlico grid which is 5min walk, definitely recommended! (they also have rooms, just saying..).
If you for some reason have to stay at this hotel, my pro tips are: Ask for a room in the upper floors, they MIGHT be better. If you can, bring your own pillow. Bring slippers if you`re not used to the british carpets.
If you are arriving from Victoria station, mind you there are two stations-the other one for bus and the other for trains+underground-they are not far apart but I was definitely confused when i arrived :D . From Gatwick you can get the Gatwick express or Southern line, they take about the same time but southern is cheaper and goes every few minutes.
The good thing about this place is location, its a quiet neighborhood with easy access to underground.
I would not stay at this place again unless some serious renovation happened and upgrade of the towels and linens.
- Anthony (6/5): - Great Value, Basic Room, think Cruise Cabin when booking this room..Most unusual Bathroom/Shower/Floor Drain combo, clean/basic, no frills..walking distance
- hayley (8/5): - .
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Service exceptionnel, bien situé bon rapport qualité-prix. Par contre ne ressemble en rien au photo propreté à la limite de l’acceptable, l’hôtel aurait besoin d’un peu d’amour
- Alan (8/5): - Very basic and small room, but good location and good value for money
- Rebekah (4/5): - The room was extremely small, not very clean and with limited facilities (no iron, remote for TV etc).
- Elegio (6/5): - The towels are bad. Small double room with small washroom.
- N r (10/5): - Good hotel decent location quiet. Not much nightlife in this area though but cheap and good location
- MarcoBAnchor (8/5): Good Budget Accommodation - Spent two nights here whilst visiting London attractions, hotel location is excellent within easy walking distance of Victoria underground. Room was small and basic but met our needs at a good price. Check in/out was easy and staff were friendly. Only complaint was the hard pillows! For information make your own tea and coffee was freely available on the landing.
- Lee (8/5): Cheap, but great value for money. - This was one of the cheapest rooms I could find with an ensuite in London so I wasn't expecting much.
The room was tiny, but perfectly fine as I only needed a bed and loo. Carpet has seen better days but the room was clean and tidy.
The guy on reception was very friendly.
Keep your expectations that this is a cheap, single room in London and you can't go far wrong.
- Sydnee (4/5): - My accomodation was cancelled by the property the day before my stay. I was offered a room in one of their other hotels, but it was very hard to get in contact with Wotif and the hotel to organise/confirm this. After many attempts at contact, I was offered a room with 3 single beds by Wotif (I originally booked a studio with a double bed) Ended with me cancelling my reservation due to lack of communication and resolution of problem.
- Ruohan (4/5): Not good - "I was assigned to a room on the first floor, and it felt like it was squeezed into a vacant space on a staircase. The bed sheets didn't look very clean, with many short hairs (mine are long, so they're not mine), and the pillows were also very dirty. Overall, the experience was not good and it is not worth the price. I will not recommend it to friends, nor will I be interested in booking another OYO chain hotel."
- lewisa995 (2/5): Mould - Would never stay again. Hotel is unclean, room was full of mould and I don’t even want to guess what the yellow stains were on the wall. If you enjoy springs in your back all night and the bathroom flooding so you have to pop for a wee in the night in an inch of water, or enjoy piled up dust in every corner though, this is your place.
Booked through Hotels.com who I complained to, and was told the hotel refused to compensate on any level.
Would not let my dog stay here.
Will not be visiting again.
Price was cheap, but basic hygiene and mould free stay would be expected..
- Leah (10/5): - Me and my son stayed here just to do some sight seeing around London. The staff were really nice, we dropped our bags early and they put them in our room ready for when we got back. They were also happy to look after them after we checked out to collect before we got our train home. The room was clean, we had a good nights sleep. I would happily stay here again. Perfect, cheap and cheerful.
- josepc519 (2/5): Booking - I am disabled, due to illness......, I arrived at the Oyo Hotel around 11:45 at night, after booking through the Expedia portal, tired, nervous and somewhat confused. The hotel staff treated me correctly and They assigned me room 15. From the room, and through the hotel website, I booked for today the 9th with departure on the 10th, I went to the reception with the intention of informing them of my reservation and if they could leave me in the same room so I wouldn't have to change. It was then that they informed me of my mistake, I had not booked for 02-09-2024 with departure 02-10-2024, I had booked for the same night and had 2 reservations for 02-08-2024, the current room n15 and now also the n10.
I explained my mistake and offered to pay the price difference for modifying the reservation on 02-09-2024.
Answer:
It is not possible and you have 2 reservations for 02-08-2024 for room 15 and now also room n10, DO NOT accept room 10, it was in room 15.
Book at reception for today 02-09-2024 and pay the full reservation £77.
The receptionist agreed to discuss my mistake with his boss and I went to sleep.
On the morning of 02-09-2024 I had a response to my error, THERE IS NO POSSIBILITY TO SOLVE A DUPLICITY RESERVATION ERROR, for the hotel manager, computerized and personally IT IS NOT POSSIBLE!!!!
Summary
I have had two reservations for 02-08-2024 and I have 1 for today 02-09-2024.
For me it makes me feel sorry, hurt and ashamed, for £53, I don't look bad with a client, let them take advantage of it and have a good day... This situation has helped me deal with my illness better and do this written while waiting for the changing of the guard. Have a good day, today I will sleep at your hotel and tomorrow when I am away, I will post my experience with OYO Vegas Hotel on social media
104, Warwick Way, London
As I said, have a good day and prosperous business with £53 more...
Health
- Ellis (4/5): - Bed was rock hard and room very small. No housekeeping unless asked for. Staff were kind and helpful though
- Twana (10/5): - Very clean and reasonably priced
- adam (4/5): - Paid for a double room and the bed clearly wasn’t a double, tv was so small couldn’t see it from bed and paid a lot more compared surrounding bigger branded hotels, if you are a larger person don’t book as won’t get through the doors, card machine wasn’t working properly and had to make 3 seperate payments, the gentleman on the front was helpful and the room was clean hence why got 2 stars
- Edel (10/5): - Love this hotel! Great location and nice staff
- callumsG9620MW (2/5): Night away ruined - We expected this hotel to be basic however all of the fundamentals you expect from even a basic hotel were not met.
- Room was very tired looking and filthy. Everything grimy, dusty and stained. Bathroom mouldy.
- Insufficient towels provided and the ones provided were stained.
- Bed was not a double despite this being what we booked.
- Bed sheets were stained, I would not sleep under the duvet for this reason.
- Bathroom was TINY - a sink, toilet and shower all within the space of a cupboard.
- Insufficient toiletries provided despite being advertised as providing them.
- One plug socket in the entire room in an inconvenient position.
- No seat in the room so unable to sit down anywhere other than the bed or the toilet, I am sitting on the floor to write this review while my partner sleeps.
- You had to walk outside to get to the room, which is a lone room facing into an internal courtyard. This I would not have minded but for the fact the door let a draft through and the curtains were too thin to block out any light.
We asked to change rooms and were moved to a second room which was just as bad, if not worse than the first room as the bathroom door had no lock and would not close. We then asked if we could get a refund and we would go to another hotel, and was told we could not get a refund. We had no choice but to stay here this time, however we will never be booking here again.
- John (2/5): - Dreadful lack of service
- Jeffrey (4/5): - The room in its entirety was extremely small. No closet, no real amenities. Shower/ bathroom was tiny, my partner was unable to stand up in the shower they are 6’2in height. The bed was basically springs covered in a sheet, pillows were extremely flat. The room was clean and conveniently located to Victoria station. Decent food options in the area and east to get to places from. If you are looking for comfort or space we would not reccomend this location.
- Arthur Colin (8/5): Not the best night's sleep. - We were in room 14. Small room with all the amenities. TV remote wouldn't work but was changed as soon as I reported the problem. Unfortunately the room directly above us had VERY squeaky floorboards and the occupants walked around throughout the night/early morning.
- Hyung (2/5): - The room was too small, there was no phone, it was dirty, and the bathroom was so small that I couldn't sit on the toilet bowl, so I had to sit next to it. It was the first horrible experience I've had in my life. I hope Expedia doesn't book any more horrible places like this.
- Claiton (8/5): Decent Stay for the Price - The hotel is in a handy location, the rooms are clean and neat, and the staff is friendly. It’s not fancy, but it’s a comfy and quiet place to sleep. The bed is good, but the small bathroom can make showering a bit tricky due to water splashing. They don’t serve breakfast, but you can get a cup of coffee. It’s an okay choice for the price, just keep your expectations in check
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don’t stay here - I was a repeat customer. The hotel now is really dirty and loud and uncomfortable. The toilet we had to sit on sideways because the toilet all was so close to the wall. The door was all dented, It smelled. The water didn’t work. Moved us another room, radiator wouldn’t shut off. Extremely hot and Very inhabitable. Curtains were all ripped And filthy. Then the cleaning lady yelled at my daughter because there was a small amount mascara on the towel. Very disturbing to be yelled at like that. I will not stay again and would like my money back.
- David (4/5): - Get what you pay for but won’t be returning.
- Zak (2/5): - Dirty, unclean and flies in the room.
Not for me again
- Dreamer60297214553 (2/5): Grim, don’t stay here - If I could give no stars I would.
This hotel is awful, please don’t waste your money.
The stair carpets are loose in places.
There is a crusty worn social distancing roundel partly adhered in the hallway.
The room we stayed in was tiny, barely room to move around the bed, which was just under 4’ wide. One double socket on the wall, which only worked intermittently. No headboard, bed was wedged under the window sill. Curtains were frayed. Bathroom was disgusting. Mould especially all along the curly flex of the hair dryer.
Bacterial bloom on the inside of the door. TV was tiny, the controls erratic
and the remote filthy.
The dining area was
musty and smelled of damp. The fridge was filthy and smelled terrible.
There was very little in the way of breakfast. Just a few rice crispies and cornflakes. Toaster but no bread. Juice glasses but no juice. The pots of yogurt featured in the photos were nowhere to be seen. The first morning, the milk was off, completely sour, guests were told to use the single serve pots!
Washing up was questionable as there was no sign of a dishwasher or steriliser ann the hot water was not very hot.
This place is grossly overpriced.
I have stayed in clean comfortable hotels in equally prime locations for less money.
I had to reassure other guests that this was NOT typical of London
- Susan (2/5): - Horrible, tatty, run down, dirty hovel.
Bathroom was mouldy with bacterial bloom on the door. The hairdryer flex was covered in mould. The room was tiny as was the bed. The mattress was only 3’9”. Only one pillow each snd no headboard as the bed was wedged tightly under the window sill. Barely room to get out of the side or around the bottom of the bed. I was not brave enough ti check under the bedding but was advised by a fellow guest that the extra ones they asked for were stained. I tried my best to reassure her that not all London establishments were as bad. Only one double plug socket, halfway up the wall at the foot of the bed. Shabby carpet. “32 inch TV” was more like 32cm. The remote control was filthy and the volume and channel selection erratic. Stair carpets relatively loose. Stairs really steep, decayed and flaking pain on the outside of the room doors.
“Dining room” equally shabby, nothing like the photos. It smelled damp.
The advertising photos show places set, yogurts on the table, a full continental buffet.
What we got was a few rice crispies and cornflakes. On the first day the milk was completely sour. There was no sign of a dishwasher so pretty sure the cutlery and crockery were not as clean as they could be.
There was a toaster, no bread. Juice glasses, no juice. The information leaflets, mostly three years out of date.
This property is grossly over priced, I have stayed in much better for much less
- Trek61819457744 (2/5): This hotel owes me money - 10 weeks ago, I booked this hotel for my partner and grandmother, it wasn’t cheap btw. About an hour after I booked, I received a message from the hotel saying they over booked and I need to contact booking.com for my refund. So then I had to book another hotel, Iv called Booking.com loads of times now and they keep saying they are waiting for the funds from the hotel. It’s an absolute disgrace that I’m still waiting for my refund 10 weeks on, it’s my hard earned money and the scumbags are messing me about. Absolutely disgusting from the hotel and Booking.com
- Alara (8/5): - Staff were really friendly and hotel is in a good location. Only issue we had was the shower had no doors or curtain or even a border on the floor so the whole floor of the bathroom got really wet everytime we had a shower. Not sure if it was just our room but other than that everything was good.
- Jerome (2/5): - I'm going through a refund battle with this property after we arrived and the shower was flooding and the bedding was still dirty and had hairs still in it and mould in the shower.
- scartwright2606 (2/5): Definitely not Vegas - Awful. Dirty and smelly.
BAD - Cleanliness, room decor, sockets broken, had two fans that were broken. The hotel smelled like urine and damp, the bathrooms plugs were blocked and the shower flooded everywhere. The toilet had dirty black and brown stains everywhere. Imagine that scene from Trainspotting. The whole place needs a good clean and revamping. Im surprised it hasnt been shut down. Their was no air in the room either and was about 30 degrees. The second fan I had was so loud I had to turn it off through fear of going deaf.
- Susan (6/5): London stay - We stayed for 1 night and it was ok, great vacinity for Victoria train and coach station. We attended the proms so very easy to walk to bus for Albert Hall.
- Charlotte (2/5): - This property was very disappointing.
We have previously stayed in an OYO in Sheffield and we’re so impressed with the size of the room and the facilities it had. As a result of this, we decided to use OYO again in London. This did not offer the same experience.
The rooms were so very small with a very small double bed. The rooms facilities were so basic with no wardrobes, no plugs near the bed, no bin. A communal coffee and tea area were located half way up the main stair case which meant a you had to carry a boiling hot drink to your room in a thin paper cup.
The rooms smelt of damp and you had to open the window to be able to stand the smell and heat. Successively, the bedding also smelt of damp.
The walls between rooms were very thin. One evening, I was awake most of the night as I could hear every word the neighbouring rooms were saying. I could even hear a hiccup.
The location of this property was fantastic, and the amenities near by were excellent.
I would stay here again if this was much, much cheaper. Other hotels near by are about the same price and you get a lot more space for the money. This was an expensive hotel for the conditions we stayed in.
- Carole (10/5): - Excellent position for travelling from Victoria coach and railway station. The room was very small, but clean. Complimentary breakfast is just a bowl of cereal and tea or coffee, but there are plenty of cafes within easy walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. An ideal place if you are looking for a low budget hotel, for one night.
- June (4/5): - room smelled terrible. could easily hear people in the next room. bathroom too small, and toilet was placed in a way i couldn’t even sit facing forward because my knees touched the wall. barely any toiletries provided. no hot water for showering.
- Michael (6/5): - Budget hotel with a great location for the stay but lacking in other areas. Basement room was very small and cupboard high on wall was difficult to negotiate around the bed in the night. Bathroom had remains of damp mould and was particularly evident in the cable of the hairdryer in the shower room. Unless the room was aired continually there was a damp smell. Breakfast very basic with cheap products.
- Robert (4/5): - first room very small, could not use the toilet with the door closed, we changed rooms for the rest of stay staff very good and helpful, second room a little better, no tea or coffie in room had to go to first floor landin for a paper cup, no chairs in room to sit down as no room, no drinking glasses in room, room in need of decoration and good carpet clean, toilet/wash room sink too small to wash and shave, hair drier flex black, no plug in sink, no light working above sink, radiators in room fins at back very dusty. I booked a 3 star hotel this is not what we got I was very unhappy that I had brought my whife to stay there. will say no more
- Razida (10/5): - The staff was incredibly helpful.
Walking distance to Victoria station.
Breakfast was very simple, no protein ie eggs
- Benn (4/5): - Unfortunately the room was very disappointing. The main light was faulty kept cutting out which made me too nervous to touch the switch, poo in toilet from previous visitor/cleaner, the room was like a prison cell, the heating didn't work, no air con, only available plug was head height but no shelf so unable to plug anything in, marks all over the carpet, no adequate wardrobe, broken and unmatching hangers, filthy above wall cupboard (uncleaned for months!), key card sporadically working.
- A (8/5): - Good location. Breakfast too basic.
- Imogen (6/5): - Tiny room, quite dirty. Good value for one night but I wouldn't have stayed longer than that.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Pros and Cons - The check-in was not on time and the breakfast was plain relating to the price.
The location was good.
- Bredwin (8/5): - Es muy accesible y son amables. Sin embargo, el desayuno era muy pobre y se escucha el ruido de todas las habitaciones alrededor
- Brandon (2/5): Avoid this place if you value sleep and comfort. - AVOID THIS PLACE.
There was a street light that shined directly into the room, and the room curtains weren’t good enough to keep the light out. Brought this to the attention of the hotel and they didn’t do anything to fix the issue and just brushed it off. As a result I got very little sleep.
There is no AC unit or fan in the rooms so it felt incredibly hot and humid the entire stay. The hotels solution is to keep your window open, but then it would get too cold in the room and the noise from the street was too loud.
The beds were thin and uncomfortable and hurt my back.
The photos of the rooms are very deceptive. Our bathroom was a joke- the toilet is positioned in a way that make it impossible to use due to there being absolutely no space in front of it, so to use it you have to sit sideways.
- Elizabeth (2/5): - If your looking for a VERY SMALL motel - one step removed from a flop house. This is your place.
it's SMALL - I mean, you can't pull your pants up in the bathroom small. You gotta turn sideways and stand in the shower to pull up your pants. Be careful not to accidentally turn the shower on in the process.
Im not a large person. 5 foot 6, 165 lb. (size 8.10) and Im too big for this room. I shared it with my 6foot 220lb husband. He Did Not FIT.
The bed is super small and very hard. I believe its a full.
If you on a budget, and your super small this place is perfect for you.
otherwise, its small and dank and smelled of mold.
The Staff is super nice through -
We had a 5 night reservation and left after 1 night.
- Khalid (6/5): - Forced us to check out 10:30
- Carrie (10/5): - This property was extremely convenient to Victoria underground and train station. many of our tours left from that area and it was only 0.3 miles to walk. We felt very safe walking in the area. We had a room with 2 twins and bathroom. the continental breakfast was adequate. Walls seemed thin and I worried I would be kept awake, but everyone seemed to quite down by 10 pm at the latest. Could use a hand towel in the bathroom to dry our hands
- Lawrence (6/5): - After some fiddling about above around midnight the room was quiet. The street was quiet at night.
The room was too light at night because there is a streetlight right outside the window on all night. A blackout blind and thick curtains are a simple fix.
The en suite needs a couple of shelved to put washbags etc. on. Another simple fix.
