- A (10/5): Great location for a short stay - Nothing fancy but perfectly adequate if you want to be minutes from Oxford St. It is a bit old and tired in places, but we found it to be clean and perfectly fine for resting your head overnight. Tea and coffee, towels and toiletries provided. Steep steps so not suitable for everyone. No breakfast here but plenty of great options on the doorstep.

On the positive side, they did have a safe. Stay away!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Great location but noisy, didn't feel safe. - Enjoyed location as it's close to Hyde Park, buses. Room's windows would not lock so felt unsafe. Also noisy as you can hear through thin, frail doors. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not as clean as it should be.

- Robert (8/5): - The stay at the hotel was great! I was only in London for one night which was a shame but the service and sleep at the hotel was amazing. The hotel is literally a 10 mins walk from Oxford Street and a 15 min walk to the local embassy's (which was the purpose of my stay). The staff were really friendly and had a laugh with you from the moment you stepped through the door. The room was clean and tidy; the only critisum would be the shower in room 8 was making a funny noise. Overall great stay and would reccommend it to everyone!!

- Rebecca (4/5): Småt, god belligenhed, kun en opgang med værelser - Der stod på hotelbeskrivelsen at der var morgenmad tilgængeligt, men fandt vi ud at bi skulle købe en voucher på vores hotel og man så skulle over på et nærliggende hotel og få det. Dog kostede en voucher kun 4 pund. Hotellet er en opgang med en reception og værelser. Ikke andet! Men fin nok hvis man bare skal have en seng at sove i, et bad og en kop kaffe på værelses (gratis kaffe på værelset). Belligenheden var fantastisk ; i gåafstand til Oxford Street , Hyde Park og Hop On/hop off busser.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Great location.... - Really helpful gentleman for the first couple days of my stay, then the next guy never tried to say hello or ask how we were. The staircase is very rickety and kind of scary even with tennis shoes on. The really nice gentleman helped me get my suitcase down the steps when I left. I would stay but would try to get a room closer to the ground floor.

- machelle (6/5): Great price - You can't beat the price. It is an old hotel owned by a famous author at one time. It was very clean and the staff were very polite and helpful. There isn't any lifts to the rooms but the staff will carry the bag to your room for you. It seems there isn't any air conditioning but there is a fan on the wall that made it comfortable. The bed is firm. I didn't realize the extra blanket and pillow was in the dresser draw. It would have been nice to have know about the pillow my first night. My room was small but the price was extremely reasonable for the area. There is a great breakfast restaurant at 20a Seymour called Daisys garden but the sign says secret garden. Great coffee and fresh eggs. Good downstairs for a view of flowers on the ceiling. It is one block away from hotel. I felt safe to walk alone.

The facility was disappointing and could definitely benefit from an industrial clean, skirting, windows etc very old and shabby a good coat of paint, new carpets would make a big difference.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Only down point is matress far too firm for me and my apprentice. Both had backache after 2 nights.

Nice welcome but we had to get to bed early as were up at 5am and there was a lot of chatting at the reception or just on the front door steps and as we had our room on that level we were disturbed trying to get to sleep. Shame as the road was very quiet and the neighbourhood! They stopped talking by 10pm when reception desk closed so would be fine for most people.

- Sheila (6/5): Handy overnight stop, close to the American Embass - Booked this budget hotel as we had an early appointment at the embassy. Handy 15 minute walk. No bar/restaurant facilities but a pub/restaurant across the road. Would have been ideal if there hadn't been a problem with the gas. No heating but electric heaters provided so the room was warm. Unfortunately no hot water which was inconvenient, the national grid workmen were trying to sort it out but as there was no hot water for a shower in the morning they were obviously unsuccessful, although the noise they were making kept me awake until the early hours. No offer of any recompense from the hotel. Staff on the reception desk were friendly.
- Alex (2/5): Awful hotel - Stayed at the last floor, there is no elevator and the stairway was extemely narrow the steps where declining at some corners, room was smaller than a car and i would have never stayed if i knew all these.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A decent and functional budget hotel - This is a decent and functional budget hotel in an excellent location close to Marble Arch. The room was quiet (my room was not facing the road, but I don't think the road is super busy anyway), clean (if a little dated in appearance), and had a good bathroom, TV, tea/coffee facilities and ironing board. There is a table and chair if you need to work. I had a double room which was adequate in size - I don't know what the single rooms are like. There is no restaurant but breakfast can be arranged nearby if you want. A vending machine for cold drinks would have been a good addition. Room price is high by normal standards, but fairly normal by London standards. Reception staff were pleasant and efficient.

- Liz (6/5): Good value hotel - This is a good value hotel in one of the most expensive parts of London. Well placed for Hyde Park, Oxford Street and the South Kensington Museums. We were on a course so needed somewhere clean and tidy to sleep and work in the evenings. Hotel is a little tired but spotlessly clean and the room had everything we needed - hair dryer, ironing board and iron, soft towels and tea making kit - and a table and chairs to work at. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only draw back are the stairs! There is a flight of stairs up to Reception and then three more to our room and we were not on the top floor. It was better than I expected from some of the reviews. Going back next week for next part of course. Free fast Wifi which was a godsend. Breakfast is not available but you can buy a voucher for a nearby hotel - but plenty of places nearby to pick up breakfast.

- Cheryl (2/5): no internet - nternet was 0 bars in hotel room and 1 bar sporadically in hallway. Upon asking hotel staff 3 separate occasions with 12 hours between each time, internet status was still the same. The third time, another hotel guest also approached hotel staff with same problem of no internet and the man behind the desk was incredibly rude and condescending to both hotel guests. The hotel did not resolve the internet issue. We would not recommend this hotel due to unprofessional staff and lack of internet. Cheryl C.
- alison (6/5): lovely little hotel - I had to visit the embassy and just wanted a clean basic hotel for one night. the hadliegh was great, good clean rooms and the staff went out of there way to accommodate us definitely recommend staying here
- P (8/5): Three friends enjoy a good location - Myself and two friends shared a triple room for one night. The location is good and not too far from Marble Arch station (get out on Oxford Street North side). The room was a decent size for us the share. There were plenty of tea/coffee/milk etc sachets. The room was on the ground floor and next to the path, but as its a side road the traffic wasn't too bad. But don't expect quiet (its London) There was plenty of storage space. The bathroom was a decent size and clean. We took the breakfast option. Again don't expect much for this but it is convenient, albeit you had to go to another hotel. We went for this option rather than walk around and find somewhere, although I did notice a place opposite we could have used. The area felt safe for us to walk around and close to Hyde Park and Oxford Street - so what could be better. Yes, I'd use this hotel again. The staff were friendly and we could leave our cases there after we checked out. There are taxis passing through this road regularly so it was easy to get one. Wifi was patchy in our room. Difficult to find a triple room with 3 single beds at a good price in a good place, but this ticked the boxes.

Reception poeple is very nice and so helpfull specially (Mohammed) ... I booked sungel room which is small but really comfort and clean .. Thanks for room service (Eizzabeth) .. I booked twice in this hotel and advice to book it as it is si cheap comparing to other hotels in same great location
- Nancy (10/5): Economic, friendly, comfy, & roomy near Oxford St. - Two of us shared a "3-bed" room (twin +full) that was roomy and comfortable, had a large clean bathroom and small kitchenette. It's a 4-story converted house>hotel located in Marylebone area on Upper Berkeley where there are many similar hotels, some with very tiny rooms. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Location is 2 blocks from Marble Arch tube on Oxford St.

Room a bit dated, but no more than you would expect for the price. Clean and tidy, beds a bit hard, but perfectly servicable. Strongly recommend for the price
- sheila (6/5): Great location, fantastic staff - Walking distance to Marble Arch, Oxford street shops. Mohammed at reception was extremely helpful and kind, gave great directions, bus, tube routes. No elevator so taking suitcases up to 4th floor was a bit difficult. Also top floor would be very hot in summer, no airconditioning. Mattress good memory foam. Bathrm clean, only soap provided no shampoo,etc. Room just ok, fairly quiet. Supply of basic types of coffee and tea. Small table, 2 chairs. No breakfast but for 4 pounds got vouchers for a basic hot breakfast at nearby hotel which was ok.
- Tim (6/5): Tourist Hotel - Good value, well located hotel. Very friendly staff. Bed was a bit soft and we were surprised that they had no breakfast facility, but then it always pays to read the description carefully. All in all, it did the trick.
- Verified traveler (6/5): great location - the hotel is clean and has a great location-10 minutes walk from Marble Arch. other things: it doesn't have a lift, so it was kind of difficult getting the suitcases upstairs.. to get breakfast you have to buy a voucher the day before and go to another hotel which is one minute walk. the reception is closing at 11 o'clock and if you go out or come back you have to lock up after yourself. the towels are being changed every 3 days. the safe was broken and they couldn't fixed it but offered to lock our passports if we wanted. all in all- an ok hotel, great location, good enough if what you're looking for is a clean bad at a good location.

- Verified traveler (2/5): NOT WORTH IT! - Listed as air conditioned, what a joke. There was a fan! No shampoo or toiletries what so ever. I had booked a tour and was waiting for their call until 10AM. I went to the front desk to inquire and was told the tour company had called at 7:30AM that same morning but was not given any form of notice. The front desk clerk was very unprofessional. Making to familiar comments, such as."boy I'm so tired" then made clerical mistakes. I would have expected more for the money spent. DO NOT STAY HERE!

- Verified traveler (8/5): Perfect for visiting the US Embassy - The Hadleigh Hotel is excellent value: The location is great (we were getting a US visa, and the embassy is just round the corner), our room was spotless, and the staff were extremely courteous and helpful. There is a great pub across the road, and we had a wonderful meal in Donastia (2 mins away). To be sure, the hotel is a bit run down but then so is the room rate. For £100 per night in a great location in London, it is hard to beat the Hadleigh.

Unfortunately, the staff members were very curt and looked irritated when we turned up. They had trouble finding our key, didn't seem to realise we had booked, and didn't bother to show us to our room. They did not offer any information about breakfast and just hurried away as quickly as possible. It's a shame, but if you can put up with that, everything else is fine!

They offer a VERY basıc tray breakfast ın your room ıf you pre-pay but ıt was not avaılable when I was there and they had to refund the payment. The posıtıon ıs reasonably central and the receptıon ıs frıendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Well-located hotel but some bad service - This hotel was well-located about 5mins from Marble Arch tube. However, we received pretty poor service when checking in - our booking (for saturday 2nd July) said we could check in at 1pm and we were there exactly at 1pm but the unfriendly guy behind the front desk told us the room would not be ready at least for another hour. After some nagging he gave us a key to another room which hadn't been cleaned and we got ot at least change our clothes, but after doing that he had a really unfriendly attitude when we asked him to lock our bags away and kindly put them into our rooms when the room was available as we knew that by the time we got back in the evening the reception would be closed. We had to leave our bags in the hall way and he seemed to have really negative attitude when I asked if they would be safe and we were felt left feeling like we would not have the bags when we returned. Luckily our bags were waiting for us in the room when we turned up after midnight so that was good - and the rooms itself were clean and the bathrooms were good too so nothing bad to say about the actual hotel - just the service left a bad taste.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hadleigh Hotel - The location & area are very good & room was clean & comfortable. I thought the customer service could have been better- we asked for an extra pillow each before we went out for dinner & I advised them my mother in law was in bed asleep & we would pick the pillows up from reception when we got back. For some reason they knocked on the door & woke her up to give her the pillows. Next morning at 7:30 we advised the toilet seat was broken & that it was not safe because it kept swinging off to one side. At 9 o'clock that night when we were all in bed/ pyjamas a man knocked on the door wanting to come in and fix the toilet seat. I felt that was very intrusive and rude.
- Johanna (8/5): fits your needs - This hotel is what it is - very basic. It's a place to drop your stuff while you go out and explore London, then rest your head. The staff is polite, very helpful when I had questions. It doesn't claim to be four stars, and it isn't - however, it was on the cheaper side and totally did the job! Good place for folks who don't plan on traveling to London to hang out in their hotel room. Also, a great location. Just a few blocks from Marble Arch, and total walking distance to Oxford Street, Hyde Park and some of the sights.
- Anne (10/5): Great value hotel in central location - On arrival friendly staff gave us a room near the ground floor as we had a baby with us ( no lift). Though in need of decoration, the beds were comfy and it was lovely to be able to open the windows wide. Close to Hyde park, Oxford Street and buses in the Edgeware road, Marble Arch is just 5 minutes walk away. By far the cheapest central hotel on offer at the time ( NB not 3 times the price as offered by worldmate) We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
- ole (8/5): Tiny hotel in a great location - Very small but decent hotel in a convienient location for both business and leisure. Central line at Marble Arch on Oxford street is 5 mins away from the hotel and will take you to the City in about 15 mins. My room was at the top floor (no lifts) and newly redecocated. Bathroom extremely tiny, but worked, well except the "power" shower. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a reasonble rate and a good location.
- Lance (6/5): take what you can get - Hotels are insanely expensive during the week in London. This was the compromise hotel. Expensive but not as bad as the price of most hotels in London during the week. Very old, lots of stairs. Friendly staff
- Verified traveler (2/5): Smelly, Smelly, Smelly - My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hadleigh for one night in August. We arrived early and they didn't have a place to store our bags, so we had to leave them in front of the "front desk" (really just a counter) under a sign that said "Hotel Hadleigh is not responsible for damage or theft to luggaage" or something in the same vein. They were fine when we came back, but it was a little disconcerting. There is no lift and exceptionally steep stairs (our room was on the highest floor). There was a sign posted that indicated that they were remodeling, but we never saw nor heard any evidence of that. Opening the door to our room, I was nearly knocked over by the smell of mildew. Even with the windows open and a fan on full blast, the odor never subsided. The carpet was wet to the touch in spots (leaky radiator? Improperly closing windows?). There was what appeared to be mold on the ceiling. The advertised free WiFi only worked if you stood in a particular spot with the computer up against the wall. On the upside, sheets were clean and the hotel was quiet, as well as a 5 minute walk to the Marble Arch underground stop.
- erika (4/5): quaint and needs a reno - hotel was quaint. no lift, and one bed (not surprised by price). however, roof leaked, light didn't work, bathroom leaked. fine for what i needed it for but needs a reno.
- Joseph (8/5): Quality and Value - Outstanding setting. Excellent pool and health center. Friendly staff. Perfectly spotless rooms with comfortable beds, great towels and sheets.That is the good. The bar area needs refreshing. The staff needs to inform all guests that the English breakfast buffet ends at 9:00 a.m. That may be a given for those who frequent this lovely chain of hotels; not all do. We had so hoped to have our breakfast overlooking the wonderful pond and garden. Instead, we went to the airport hungry.
