• sewart01 (6/5): Conveniently located. - Let me start with the positive. The hotel is centrally located and easy to get anywhere in Florence. Simone, who is there in the morning is delightful, she is kind and helpful. Breakfast snacks, coffees, and beverages are refilled each day. However, our room was quite warm and the thermometer is locked. We opened our windows but it did not provide much relief and no breeze unless we opened our door that went to the dining area. There were also pigeons that sat on our window ledge. And they start banging around in the little courtyard outside the window about 4:30 am. The check in process was unnecessarily complicated (unless you arrived before 13:00.) it could be so easy. The website says they will send a code on check in day, that does not happen. You have to call, so if not from Europe you will need to pay for an international plan. And Pamela who answers the phone is extremely rude. It would be so easy to send the instructions via email or texting the day of and avoid unnecessary cost and headaches. And there is NO laundry as described, it’s a 5-7 minute walk through Florence.

• Ellen (10/5): My stay in Florence was made perfect by Soggiorno Antica Torre. - This place is beautifully decorated, almost like an art gallery itself! Its right in the middle of Piazza della Signoria so you can’t beat the location, but surprisingly it is quiet inside. Simona is absolutely charming and will help you with anything you need and give you a lot of good food. .

• Jan (8/5): Very contetn with it - The location was excellent, very close to all interesting historical places, shops and restaurants. Personnel was very friendly, helpful and serviceminded. Our reception was well organised. The room was clean There was some noise outside last 2 evenings, but it didn't continue until late. We have as a custom to eat strong breakfast in the morning and couldn't eat this which was provided by the hotel, but it is surely sufficient for other guests.

• Alexander (2/5): Bei nächsten Mal würde ich was anderes buchen :) - Ich glaube die Lage ist schon gut. Der Rest leider überhaupt nicht. Bei der Lage muss man jedoch wissen, dass man mit dem Auto in eine verkehrsberuhigte Zone einfährt, die Fußgängerzone quasi, und man dort dann für 45€ parken muss, da es ansonsten sehr teuer wird. Dreckig, unfreundliches Personal und das Schlimmste von allem ist der widerliche Gestank nach Urin in unserem Zimmer. Richtig ekelhaft, wie auf einer öffentlichen Toilette. Vermutung ist, dass es aus den “alten” Abflüssen kommt. Ebenfalls muss man wissen, dass der Fahrstuhl erst im 1.OG beginnt. Wenn man so naiv ist wie wir und sich auf die Beschreibung der Unterkunft verlässt, kann das nach hinten losgehen. Personal war beim Remote Checkin zunächst nicht erreichbar und hat dann einfach während des Telefonats aufgelegt. Ausblick auf die Piazza hat man auch nicht von überall. Wir gucken in einem vollgekoteten Innenhof, wo es regelmäßig laut schäppert, weil die Leute ihren Müll rausbringen. Das Gurren der Tauben kann vllt ganz angenehm sein… 🙈

L´odeur de canal dans la chambre et l´impossibilité de changer même si il y avais d´autres chambres de disponible peut-être meilleures; car au pdj il y avais juste 3 bol de yaourts pour 3 personnes pendant que l´Hôtel avais plusieurs chambres plus grandes. Attention la réception et l´Hôtel se trouvent au 3eme étage. La chambre proche de la réception n´à pas été complètement nettoyé ; poussière étagères ; tapis pas aspirés

• ALEX (6/5): Ubicacion excelente, pesimo desayuno y aire acondicionado. - Ubicación excelente, al lado literalmente de uffizi. Esto hace que puedas pasar al baño o a descansar cuando quieras. Queda cerca de todo. El personal bien, nos dejó guardar las maletas el último día post check out. Instalaciones bien Desayuno malísimo, básicamente cosas frias y liquido. Eso no es un desayuno, para eso mejor comprar en el supermercado. También tenían un tema con el aire, no dejaban prenderlo o manipular a gusto (excusas de ahorro energético). Un poco ruidoso, mas si dormías con ventanas abiertas por el calor. Solo cambiaban las toallas algunos dias.
• Julie (9/5): Lovely place - Location and view from room was beyond description. We enjoyed looking out ove the piazza in the evening. Walk out your front door and the city is at your feet. Breakfast was packaged baked goods which is ashame when you are in a city that has such delicious pastry. Water and soda was extra and the shampoo in the shower was watered down. THe room had a high daily rate which we gladly paid but then to be nickeled and dimed for comfort amenities was too bad.
• Claudia (10/5): - Ottima posizione, dista solo 5 minuti a piedi dal Duomo e da Ponte Vecchio; Palazzo Vecchio e gli Uffizi sono letteralmente a pochi passi dalla porta, mentre dalla stazione di Santa Maria Novella sono meno di 20 minuti. Sono facilmente raggiungibili anche Palazzo Pitti e i Giardini di Boboli, la Galleria dell’Accademia, la casa-museo di Dante, le Cappelle Medicee, Santa Maria Novella e la Basilica di Santa Croce. La camera è pulita e spaziosa, la colazione è in camera ed è abbondante e, nella sala da pranzo comune, sono presenti posate, tazze, una macchinetta del caffè e un rubinetto con acqua potabile. Simona è stata gentilissima e molto disponibile con noi anche dopo aver fatto il check-out. Consiglio vivamente!

• Fernando (1/5): Prix très excessif pour la prestation très insuffisante ! - Son emplacement dans la ville, spacieux et élégant. Pas d'accès handicapés : ascenseur au 1er étage, code à l'entrée et pour la boîte à clés lors de l'arrivée (inaccessible pour les non voyants alors que signalé à la demande d'arrivée). Des courants d'air en permanences, un canapé vétuste et inconfortable, un lit en béton. Une douche pas assez propre et bouchée et dont la porte ne ferme pas correctement. Hôtesse absente à l'arrivée et parlant fort ou passant l'aspirateur pendant le petit déjeuné composé de biscottes, biscuits secs, pain de mie et heureusement d'un fruit (d'abord trop mûr puis trop vert) et d'un yaourt.
• Annette (6/5): Die Lage ist gut, aber der Service gewöhnungsbedürftig für ein Hotel - Die Lage könnte nicht besser sein. Die Zimmer sind groß und auch, wenn sie etwas altmodisch eingerichtet sind haben sie alles, was man braucht. Die Rezeption ist nur stundenweise besetzt. Dann geht es nur darum, die Übernachtungssteuer zu bezahlen oder ein Zusatzgeschäft durch die Bestellung eines Taxis zu machen. Das Frühstück liegt schon bei der Anreise auf einem Tablett im Zimmer, alles wie von der Tankstelle in Kunststofffolie eingeschweißt. Es wird erwartet, dass man das benutzte Geschirr selbst spült. Eigentlich ist es kein Hotel sondern ein WG-Zimmer.
• Brian (5/5): Undervalue and overpriced - The breakfast was pre-packaged combat rations charged to 20 Euros per pwrson!!! The double bed was two small singles pushed together with a crevasse in tge middle. The advertised airconditioning was misleading and deceptive. The TV size was 2 small ipads, and not working. The superior room looked into a central shaft where restaurant kitchens washed plates and cleaned up noisily. The decor of the room was nothing like they advertised on booking.com. The location was excellent

• Karen (4/5): - When you see the word "nightmare" in other reviews about checking in, believe it. If you dont arrive when staff happens to be there, you will have to hope another tenant will open the outside door for you so you can acces the room keys. I tried for days to get the check in details; even Expedia could not get them on the phone during their supposed staff hours. I nearly cancelled but didn't want to arrive in Florence without a reservation. Pamela yelled at me when I finally got her on the phone about instructions. She claimed she had been there and sent them when she wasn't and hadn't. It was a very negative experience and ruined my morning. In addition, there is a sewage smell in the bathroom, the staff accesses your room even if you put up the do not disturb sign, and the bathroom floor is dirty. Other than that, the location could not be more central to Florence.
• Thomas (10/5): Exclusive Location in the Heart of Florence! - You simply can’t stay more central! The location was perfect for us, as we planned a lot of sightseeing and could reach everything on foot within minutes. The house itself is historic, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere created by the original wooden ceilings and authentic Tuscan furniture. Simona, who runs the place, was very friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome. Even our small dog felt at home and had everything he needed for a pleasant stay. Breakfast is available and quite simple, but there’s also space to prepare your own food. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and we could store our luggage as long as we needed on the day of check-out. All in all a great place to stay in Florence.

• Rock (1/5): One of the Worst Stays I’ve Ever Had — Rude Staff and Poor Service - I paid $905 for the suite. The only good thing was the view of Piazza della Signoria and the Duomo — but most rooms don’t have this view, and it’s not worth the price. The host was nearly impossible to contact. We waited over 30 minutes outside in 34°C(93°F) heat at check-in because I didn't get in touch with anyone. Only 4 towels were given for 2 people over 4 days. On day 3, staff didn’t replace them despite a sign saying they would. The next day they changed their story and denied it. Staff (Simona) was rude and unprofessional. I reported a small coffee stain on the bedsheet. And the mattress was not damaged like a photo I attached. But she yelled at me, blamed me for things I didn’t do, and made me stand there while she scolded me for 25 minutes. She also monitored me in the kitchen and told me which dishes to use, even though many were dirty. The room itself was not clean — dirty bathtub, damp sheets, dusty floor, and unwashed dishes in the kitchen. The elevator starts on the second floor, not the ground. You have to carry luggage up narrow stairs — not mentioned when booking. The A/C was locked. We weren’t allowed to adjust it. When we finally reached the host, she told us to “Florence is not that hot. Just open the window,” even though it was 34°C(93°F) in July. This was the worst stay of my 42-day Italy trip. I don’t recommend this place at all.

• Patricia (10/5): - We had a wonderful time staying here! The space is huge and we loved the quaint furniture. There was so much space, the kids had their own space and there was a couch available to relax in after a full day walking in Florence. We loved the view of the Piazza out the window and people watching. We even got to hear a concert out our window. Simone was such a wonderful and caring host. She was super helpful and even called to get our taxi in the morning ready for our tours. We wish we had stayed longer!
• Barbara (6/5): This stay could have been delightful with more care and attention from staff, given the cost. - An impressive room in a graceful old building. The impression when booking was that there was a view overlooking the Piazza whereas our room looked down on a rather narrow alleyway. There were stairs up to the first floor, we had to carry luggage from street level which was tiring in the heat. A lack of clear - or any - directions, in spite of having requested some, to find the rooms meant we wandered around in heat of the day trying to find it.

• Z152OJsteveh (2/5): Don’t stay here - Worst check in process ever, bad directions, no communication, no one to meet at check in, parking….dint even go there, fridge didn’t work, air conditioning was unable to be adjusted beyond 29 degrees, bed was like a rock, breakfast was woeful with prepackaged biscuits. Odd smell in unit, no view, Don’t ruin your holiday and stay here, worst ever. Only good thing was convenient location.

• mattdsale (10/5): Room with a view. - We stayed in the Gold Suite. It was everything we hoped for. Perfect view, perfect location. Prior to arrival, we had great communication from the hotel. We needed to check in late, which wasn’t a problem. Details were sent on the day, which were easy to follow. Hotel staff were great, and very friendly.
• James (2/5): - Check-in was horrendous. we arrived to the front door and rang the bell multiple times without any answer whatsoever. Luckily somebody from the inside was coming out so we were able to access the stairway leading up to the B&B. We arrived at the front door of the B&B rang the bell, again without any answer. We had to call the international number directly. Finally someone answered. we were told an email had been sent and we should follow the directions. I found no such email. The Host said that she would be there to open the door for us so we waited. Email found in junk mail. Spent 10 to 15 minutes in the hallway and no one showing up, found the code to get in, the host would not give us the code over the phone. we got into our room which was extremely warm and tried to turn the air conditioning down and found out that it was auto controlled by the Host. During the day it was set to 80°F and at night you would have to contact the Host to ask them to turn the air down, which only went down to 77°F. What a miserable night sleep and they would not change it at all. bed-and-breakfast is an absolute joke. It was a tray full of cookies, crackers, corn flakes, and bread, fridge was at room temp which contained milk for cereal. 4 coffee pods per day strictly doled out, we were denied more without extra charge. Bed was horrible, room extremely dirty, hosts were extremely unresponsive to any emails or texts.
• Cyrus (7/5): Save your money and time Find a different place to stay. - Location is convenient to most historian places. It’s very loud outside with old widows , it’s hard to sleep specially with the AC is set too high and very warm in middle of hot summer and the guest is not allowed or can change temperature, very difficult to sleep at nights, save your money and time and find a different room to stay.
• feistyisa (10/5): Soggiorno Antico Torre: A Florentine Gem! - We had a lovely stay! Welcoming and friendly hosts made us feel like family during our 6-day stay (special mention to Simona). B&B with excellent amenities.…a very nice & spacious dining area with stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, toaster oven, dishes/utensils/pots & pans as well as an iron! Definitely a great option for those who would like to eat in from time to time. Rooms are clean & a decent size. Very nice bathroom. Finally, you cannot beat the location! Within walking distance to most major tourist attractions, shopping, dining and also the main train station. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Florence!

This charming B&B boasts an unbeatable central location, putting all of Florence's treasures right on your doorstep. We found it incredibly convenient to be just a 15-minute walk from the train station, making our arrival and departure a breeze. From the moment we inquired about our reservation, Pamela was a delight – incredibly helpful and pleasant to communicate with. However, the true shining star of our stay was Simona. She was an absolute joy, ensuring our room was impeccably clean and always well-stocked with everything we could possibly need. Her attention to detail and warm demeanour truly made our experience special. Our room itself was spotless and thoughtfully appointed, complete with a convenient fridge. The communal kitchen was another fantastic amenity, offering everything you could possibly need for breakfast, lunch, or even dinner if you chose to dine in. We highly recommend Soggiorno Antico Torre for anyone looking for a comfortable, centrally located, and welcoming stay in Florence.

Something to note : the elevator only starts on the second floor and there are quite a few stairs to get to it. A challenge for those of us with mobility issues.

• Jakov (7/5): Good - The view from our suite was amazing, exactly as on the pictures. Suite is very large, comfortable and well equipped. Location is great for discovering Firenze. We might be back. We had problem with check-in procedure, couldn't open the door of the building. We were lucky that other guests were exiting so we entered... they mentioned they had similar issue. Breakfast is miserable. It will be waiting you in the room - some cookies, milk and miserably small packaged portion of cornflakes. But that's not even the worst thing - there was everything for 2 people, although we were staying with out kid (there was 3 of us). Anyways, we booked suite for the location and view - which did not dissappoint. But given the price, with few small improvements this host could easily get much better reviews.
• Iwan (4/5): Only positive was the location - The location was great The thermostat was set to 25° which was locked so couldn’t change it, so was too hot to sleep in, opened window but mosquitoes would come in. Breakfast was an assortment of packet items in the room. Also the thermostat was lit up all night so the room was illuminated blue all night
• gregorysC8317ZK (2/5): Pick someplace else. - Two of the three women we met were extremely rude. The young woman that cleaned was very pleasant. The room was supposed to be air conditioned. It was 80 degrees i the room and the only respite was to open the windows and listen to the pigeons. Obviously it was necessary to prevent the birds from entering. So limited opening of the windows. At 5 every morning you were awakened to the noise of what appeared to be bread making by the street level restaurant. Which brings me to the 3 flights of stairs before you were able to access an elevator. Not accessible to many travelers. To enter you must walk through a narrow aisle between outdoor seating for restaurants. Accommodation is advertised with breakfast included. The breakfast consisted of individually packaged toast, crackers, etc. from a store. Quite strange and not a normal Italian breakfast. I can't recommend this place even with the convenient location. There are many places with ideal locations. It's Florence. I will never book a property that states no refunds. My fault that I didn't notice at the time of booking through the booking company. This made it impossible to leave and transfer to another place. Don' stay at Soggiorno Antica Torre.

• Julia (4/5): - Great location. Within walking distance of everything in Florence! The staff were very nice and sweet to us. Our room smelled horribly of sewage, opening the window did not help. Also, cannot control the temperature of your own room because of eco friendliness, doesn’t seem to be fair. When we reported the sewage smell they blamed it on the old building, yet the breakfast area and the lobby smelled fine. Would not stay here again!!!!

• Darlene (8/5): Almost perfect!!! - Decorated very lovely. My only issue is that it has elevator however you have about 25 steep stairs to get to (not disability friendly). The entrance is in a courtyard adjacent to Musée Vecchi which in the evening there is a free opera music! I’m not a fan of the Opera however this.was. Beautiful.! The Ufizzi is around the corner and plenty of shopping for leather and plenty of dining opportunities !!

The service level was terrible: - The air conditioner does not work - The control panels show that there must be 23 degrees in the room - it is maybe 18 - 19 degrees and the two different systems were not running on the days we were there! - Never add breakfast at this place. It consists of dry bread in vacuum-packed bags - no cheese, eggs or bacon! Boring coffee from a bag machine. - Probably the world's smallest TV :)

• Kathleen (6/5): - The area is Fabulous,lots of cafes, restaurants. I had prepaid a deposit on the booking site and I was told it never went through, had to pay in full plus a hotel fee. Now I need to fight with the c/c company. A/C did not work, no english stations on TV. No one there after 1PM. All breakfast materials in room, pretty much make your own? Prepackaged pastry, bread, cereal. ALSO 30 steps up to elevator!

• Christopher (8/5): Four Great Days in Florence - Location was amazing. You literally step out the front door into the Plaza in front of Palazzo Vecchio. The Uffizi Gallery, The Duomo Museum & Cathedral, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Baptistery were all just a short walk away. Even the Accademia Gallery is less than a mile away. Shopping, amazing restaurants, and the Mercato Centrale also in the neighborhood. If you like to sleep in cool temps you may want to chose a different option. Yes there is air-conditioning, but NO you do not have control over the temperature setting. The temperature in the room ranged from 23.7 - 24.4 celsius (~ 75 degrees) during our stay, which was a bit warm for sleeping.
