Guest Reviews
- Michael (6/5): -
- Melia (9/5): I would stay there again. It was neat, clean & close to the airport. The owner arranged a shuttle to the airport for - It was very clean & neat. It faced a noisy street, but the location was excellent because it was close to the airport.
- alan (1/5): Cheap but totally unacceptable - Nothing This hotel needs a total refurb.
Noise from road was horrendous ALL night
Bathroom unacceptable.... tap hanging off..soiled.toilet paper In a bin all all night..shower area too small and v well worn.
Loose electric wire in bedroom. Door to balcony would not lock.
Spend money or make it into a Back Packers hostel.
Dining area dingy and depressing
240 Euros for 2 nights of no sleep

- CHRISTINA (8/5): -
- Mathias (9/5): -
- Kaneln (7/5): For a shorter stay - Good location with restaurants around the corner.
Beautiful sea view from window.
Clean.
Beach for swimming right outside.
Nice omelett in the morning Very loud motor way right outside, cars driving there at full speed all night.
No kettle in the room.
Fridge in the room was not functioning.
Shower very small
Bed was springy and there was no duvet, only sheets.
- nazanine (6/5): - The hotel is not a 3 star hotel. I am disappointed of booking. com not doing a good job on checking your hotels rating . I travel a lot but I always have more issues with hotels I book through booking.com The hotel is very old. The room was smelling very bad and small and next to a busy street a lot noise . Bad experience
- Jodi (3/5): Poor - Close to market No hot water. When I complained they said we only turn it on at certain times 😡told me not to touch the temperature that 74 is where they keep it. I was burning up the whole night because I am very hot natured, staff was not friendly and made me feel very uneasy, was scolded because I didn't leave my key on the counter when I went for a walk. I had never heard of that b4. VERY disappointing unfortunately. Absolutely not worth price

- Panic (10/5): Have a nice stay! - Cleanliness, friendly staff, close to the beach! Loud noise from the cars from the street!

- Georgios (10/5): -
- Lusjana (10/5): Everything was perfect. Staff was extra nice and helpful ! - Loved the location ! Small bathroom extra small shower!
- Bahadir (8/5): - Well organised, clean, great location. Price/ Performance ratio is low (which is good). Helpful, friendly personnel. Electronics (fridge, ac) were noisy. Not very important though. There is no other problem.

- desmondmoore (1/5): ver bad - The worst hotel I have stayed at. The noise from the traffic was considerable throughout the night. The temperature in the room was unbearable as the air conditioning did not work; the temperature was 35 Deg C during the day. The shower had a shower curtain and was barely large enough to stand up in. Some of the electrical fittings were not securely fitted to the wall. Only accepted cash as payment for breakfast.
On arrival we were directed to the beach across the road by the reception staff / we assumed he was the manager. We were both knocked down by a motorcycle on a pedestrian crossing just outside the hotel. We did not understand that the road was a high speed road and did not see the pedestrian lights or the control push button.
We now feel that the manager should have warned us of the road dangers as people have been killed on this road in recent years and locals know how dangerous it is. The manager witnessed the aftermath of the accident. On return to the hotel the manager showed no concern and it was as if nothing had happened. I feel most strongly that visitors not familiar with the area should be alerted of the road dangers. Everthing.
- Dimitra (10/5): - The location, the nearby restaurants, the view, and the staff were amazing! I highly recommend it! Everything was great!
- Q7807ROevai (2/5): Scammed - It’s a big scam
The man charged me 580 euros extra saying he wasn’t paid on the credit card I used to book the room
Breakfast was included but he wanted to charge for that too
Everything here is mediocre or passable but plugs don’t work
Hotel is super old
Electric plugs don’t work
Fridge is a fifty year old and buzz all night
The fast speed road outside our window is deafening during the night
We got minimal sleep
The hotel bar is dirtier than airport toilet
Everything else is shabby and outdated
Very ugly
I think visitors who say it’s a good place haven’t known or seen better
Owner was rude and since we arrived 10:30 at night, we had no choice but pay 580 extra euros to get the room we already paid Travelocity for and got confirmation from Travelocity
We hate this place
It’s the worst hotel I have ever been to in my entire life
- Hinteregger (9/5): -
- Stefan (9/5): -
- Paul (10/5): Excellent place - Good location for beach and restaurants
- Maria (7/5): -
- Ivan (10/5): Exceptional - I have to praise the owners and staff of Hotel Galini, they are kind, smiling, always there to help, everything is great. Clean, tidy, everything in its place. Rooms are cleaned every day, bed linen, towels are changed... I have no words. We are delighted. Close to the beach, amenities available, close to the center, markets... extra.
- Bessie (7/5): Great value for location - Location was very good. Walking distance to beach, marina Outdated bathrooms. Shower didn’t work.
- Dina (10/5): Exceptional - The owner is exceptionally nice. Really accommodating to any requests. The location and the view are fantastic Everything was excellent, I only wished the bathroom to be abit bigger but honestly Everything else is amazing, so this wasn't really an issue
- Maya (7/5): Good -
- Mark (7/5): One night stay after arriving in Athens on way to the Peloponnese, found a fabulous local restaurant 3 minutes walk away - Very friendly helpful staff, convenient location after arrival at the airport and has parking It isn’t a new property, but they were helpful and it was clean. Meet our needs for one night.
- Jill (1/5): We actually walked out without staying and we never ever do that. - Air conditioner in the room did not work well at all and the room was styfiling hot. The bed was also very hard and uncomfortable
- Mohammad (5/5): Passable -
- Dorisz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sunday (6/5): Pleasant -
- Haim (3/5): Poor - Old
Need renovation Not electricity charging points
Old bathroom
No value for money
- Diana (9/5): Superb -
- Yolanda (8/5): - It was a very convenient location.
- Maya (7/5): Good -
- Mark (8/5): An affordable option in an overpriced neighborhood. - Very late 70’s decor but quite comfortable and well maintained Alert! Don’t take the x96 towards the airport. It is a NONSTOP ROUTE. You will have to go ALL the way to the airport and then double back!
- Voyage26346560481 (10/5): Good value, attentive staff. - The excellent rating comes from the attentiveness of the staff and the value. The room was fine, view great, balcony was noisy from nearby arterial road, but that's Athens. A km. or so away is Voula's plaza where folks gather to eat, do coffee or just hang out. Decor in common areas needs an upgrade, but pleasant enough.
- Britton (7/5): Overall our stay wer fabulous the staff did everything to help and accomodate for our needs. - The staff were super helpful and the location was amazing, just opposite to the beach and near public transport and near to shop. It was A little tired and the shower was super small but this is reflective of the price. Great for budget minded travellers and I would visit again.
- Georg (7/5): Good - Simple rooms but have Minibar.
Nice
- Vasco (8/5): Very good - Location. Bed. Small shower. Internet sometimes slow.
- Roland (10/5): - Very good
- Amine (5/5): Good - The shower in the bathroom
- Maureen (2/5): Not recommended for off season - This is an old fashioned hotel well looked after by the owner family but as it is right on the highway it was very noisy as were the handful of spooky off season guests who conducted a hallway argument all night. Might be better in season as the sea leaden during my visit would be a be a big plus with sunshine.
- Chrysoula (9/5): Superb -
- Chrysoula (8/5): Very good - room
- George (6/5): Pleasant -
- Aristides (5/5): Passable - A lot of noise from outside
- stevennU4659RH (4/5): Not a 5 star - We had several problems with this hotel as both my daughters suffered food poisoning.
The food had no variety it was the same food every day and night.
The last day we were told even after checkout we were ok to use the amenity's we weren't due to be picked up till 5.30pm and there was no power at the pool bar so we couldn't get a drink and the restaurant was shut so there wasn't any food either, so to our annoyance we had to walk to the harbour to get some food which cost over 70 euros for the four of US.
- Rouzbeh (8/5): Excellent location and very helpfull & friendly staff - Excellent Location, super markets and a lot of restaurant mix of luxury and budget in 5 minutes walking distance, Bus from the airport in 30 minutes drop you off just front of the hotel and charge €5.50, Nice balcony and view but noise of the cars passing by may disturb you at first but got use to it
- George (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (9/5): Homely and peaceful type of hotel with a beach extremely close by. - Nice room with drinks in the fridge and a balcony/veranda with a great view of the sea. Also there was a nice little beach over the road, maybe 30 seconds walk away. Helpful staff also.
- ELENI (2/5): - I booked through Expedia, and when I called to request other accommodations because the rooms reeked of deep smell of dirt and smoke, Expedia took no responsibility! Shame on Expedia!! I am a senior citizen who was forced to leave causing me additional Taxi transportation costs and effort to costs to book a day Trent hotel. I felt suck to my stomach due to the dirty smell and felt my asthma closing my throat due to the unbearable smell of smoking!!! I felt unsafe, as the doorknobs were loose without any type of safe lock. Travelers beware! Stay away from the hellhole named “Galini Palace Hotel” on K. Karamanli in Voula, Attica
- Michael (7/5): Good - Clean, view was great. Close to the beach. Bathroom dated, toilet leaked, shower head holder too low.
- Kristjan (10/5): Cozy little hotel - Nice little hotel with balcony to south side.
- Father (8/5): Very good -
- Siemone (8/5): Comfortable cozy hotel with a beautiful view - Very friendly personnel Busy street in front of the hotel that was a little bit loud during the night as well, was ok with the windows closed.
- A (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melanie (10/5): 100% recommend - Just cross the road and your at the beach
They give you towels for the beach to not use the bathroom ones
You walk 3min and you arrive in an area full of restaurants, shops and coffees.
If you need help the staff is always available to help you.
- aspassia (8/5): - None
- Aigars (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thaddeus (7/5): Good -
- Souny (7/5): Good -
- Andrej (9/5): Great price/quality vintage hotel for a beach vacation - Great price/quality vintage hotel for a beach vacation. Beach across the street. Very nice staff. Nearby there are many taverns where you can eat delicious and inexpensive food. The hotel is located right by the road and the noise from the cars is very loud. The wi-fi connection is very slow and unstable. Sometimes there were ants in the room
- Catherine (8/5): Perfect for accomodation near airport. - Helpful and friendly staff, great location opposite beach and close to restaurants, lovely neighbourhood. Very good especially for a one night stay close to airport. Good breakfast.
- Anna (5/5): It’s a time capsule!!! - Excellent location very close to a public beach (no sun beds) but the hotel can provide beach towels. The hotel was probably a stunner in the 80’s but is in dire need of refurbishment!
- Fabrizio (8/5): - Simple hotel clean
Good to do work and rest
- Spyros (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff, nice breakfast choices
- Teresa (8/5): Very good -
- Larisa (5/5): Passable -
- Aleksandra (5/5): Passable -
- Hawes (8/5): The staff made the stay. True hospitality here which you rarely find at larger, corporate hotels. - Amazing staff that treated us (family of 3 including a 5 yr old) with great sincerity and care during our 8 nights here.
Amazing location just across the street from beach access.
Parking included.
Beds were firm.
Mini fridge in the room. Shower is very small and handheld.
Wifi was inconsistent but good enough.
- Debora (7/5): Good - Good urban beach nearby Noisy night / traffic
- Haze (8/5): Manager was kind and I would return if travelling to Athens - Location excellent if you enjoy the seaside. Many restaurants and shops a 5 minute walk away, back from the beach. Voula is a very nice suburb. Hotel is charming though a little dated. The transfer organised by the hotel. Sadly due to 30 min flight delay (which I did advise them of prior to departure) & luggage taking an hour to come out the transfer left the airport. I caught a taxi instead.
- Malgorzata (5/5): Passable - Close to the beach, nice staff Very very noisy and busy street just in front of the hotel - you can not sleep with the open window
- Angeliki (10/5): Good location and friendly staff - The location was perfect. The staff and location.
- Al (10/5): Perfect and looking forward to next stay - Raphael is very cooperative, supportive and helpful
He is really so kind person
- Zuzana (9/5): Superb -
- Leslie (5/5): Not the best - Clean
Good location
Restaurants behind hotel 2 mins
Walk Very dated
Rooms at front sea view but very busy road noisy all day & night
Handles broken on all drawers &
Wardrobe
Lift had no door internally so very dangerous if you have children
Shower curtain not the best
Shower had no hook at high level
So you had to hold shower hose
Above your head
- Leeana (10/5): Fulfilled all requirements. - The hotel was clean and convenient, the owner and the staff were very helpful and always around.
On my last night I was invited to join the owner and his friends for food & drinks as I was on my own!
- Mark (7/5): Good -
- Elena (4/5): Disappointing - personnel was kind Room extremely noisy
I could hear neighbour rooms taking showers and talking very well :-(
Too much noise from the street even with closed windows
terrible breakfast
- Niki (5/5): Passable -
- Alan (10/5): Happy time here before our cruise - Clean and close to the sea The road is very busy and can be noisy
- demetrio (8/5): - Very nice clean no frills hotel… bathrooms are small
- Janet (5/5): We just wanted two nights on the beach and it suited us. Not for a longer stay though - No breakfast included but could order it fo 10 euros per person. Could get fantastic breakfast nearby for 5 euros each Shower very small, but room large. No kettle or tea or coffee provided.
- Lenok (5/5): Passable - The balcony with views over the sea 😁
And the old gentleman in the front desk The beeds was a nightmare..
- Monika (5/5): Too noisy - Galini is close to the beach and restaurants. Beds were clean and comfortable, staff were helpful and polite. Terribly noisy. This hotel is right next to 6 lanes of very busy motorway, the traffic doesn't stop. No double glazing or window shutters to make it a little quieter. Locals seem to love the loudest possible motorbikes without exhaust silencers.
It is not nice to sit on the balcony in all the fumes of speeding cars. It was hard to fall asleep at night and often being woken up by yet another bike rocket.
- Alex (8/5): Athens getaway. - The room we stayed in was nice and clean with sea view.
They have changed the towels daily.
Staff were pleasant and approachable.
Free parking offered a relaxed form of travelling to and from the hotel. The bathroom was smaller, and the shower was making lots of water around. We could ignore this as we only stayed for 3 nights at this hotel.
Limited breakfast options.
- Christopher (8/5): Very good -
- 809baxterm (2/5): Horrible - I would give this place zero stars if I could. The bed was rock hard, the mini fridge hummed loudly, constant traffic noise heard clearly all night so we got no sleep. The location is okay if you like being away from everything. One of the worst places we've ever stayed at.
