Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad smell, confort and door - Smell really bad in the bedroom
Electronic doors and cards are not really working 2min necessary of trial and error to open my door
- Jeff (6/5): Interesting - No fire escape from my room on sixth floor.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - the area where the hotel was situated nice area
I did not like the bathroom too small
- Dariusz (6/5): Ok - Ok, only no lift and 6th floor...
- Traveler (2/5): do not stay here - I have never seen so many bugs in my life. They do not have enough towels, so we received bath mats instead of shower towels. They do not have air conditioning, but it is not safe to sleep with the windows open. Do not stay here, unless you enjoy a bathroom that leaks water onto a wooden floor and and abundance of ants in your room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Enkelt men funktionellt.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good value for money, close to Metro, nice multi-ethnic neighbourhood Belleville, friendly and helpful staff, quite a cozy room on 6th floor (without elevator) with wonderful side view on Paris incl. Tour Eiffel.
- John (2/5): Beware...c9n - Rude, unhelpful staff. Beware of the con. We requested a room on the first or second floor and followed our request with an email. When we arrived we were told the only room available was on the 6th floor (without elevator) and as we attempted to leave he suddenly found a room on the first floor and we could "upgrage" to the room originally promised for an additional 20 euro per night.
The room was the size of a closet with no housekeeping service, loud noise in a neighborhood so rough that personal safety was the principal concern. You're are somewhat ready for combat, getting roughed up the staff for the temerity of requesting anything. Avoid this place. Enter at your at your own peril.
- Dennis (4/5): Tiny. - No elevator, no breakfast, no nothing. Bathroom was so small that you could rinse off from shower while standing in front of the mirror to shave and brush your teeth. Family in the next room were so loud that I requested a room change, granted for the next day. Sheets were tattered and stained when I had my room changed. No full bath towel, only 2 hand towels. On the positive side, the 2 receptionist were helpful, cafes near by, an metro not far but trains and buses so crowded in Paris. I can not recommend this hotel an it probably deserves 1 star.
Pertinho do cemitério Pere Lachaise. Ficaria de novo com certeza.
- Eddie (8/5): price is good to stay . - we stayed 3 nights.the room are very small but clean. the staff are friendly and they speak english. we have a good stay.
- Matthew (8/5): Nice hotel in the midst of the locals - This is a great location for getting close to the locals and away from the many tourist places within paris. It's a few minutes walk to the Jourdain subway if you need quick access to the attractions and along the way you will pass a few nice local restaurants and flower shops and book stores which have a great local feel to them. The area may be lower class but it's definitely got a charm we appreciated.
- Leszek (8/5): Good basic hotel in Paris - Not too far away from the city centre & sights. Good value for the money compared to other Paris hotel, although very basic facilities: no breakfast, no hairdryer, no kettle, no lift. Just bed & shower & electricity + TV. Room cleaned every day. Staff polite but with very basic English knowledge.
Bellissima vista su Tour Eiffel e Tour Montparnasse.
- Antonello (6/5): ok - Room was new and clean, but on the 6th floor withour elevator.
I felt little bit unsecure.. the guy asked me if my wedding ring was real gold or plated :-(
An important note: I have book 3 different hotels in the period, and one of this stolen my credit card data.. of course I will never know which one.
- HSINGKUO (8/5): Nice and Clean - It's a nice hotel. good location, really clean and quite.
But they don't offer earlier check-in. So if your flight arrive in the early morning, you must find somewhere to go, then check-in at 13:00.
- Jonathan (6/5): Basic but done the job - Hotel room was small but comfortable. The bathroom was really small like an aeroplane toilet. Basic but did what we expected for the price paid and we have stayed in Paris before so knew what to expect. Close to restaurants and public transport. We would stay again for the price but not if looking for more luxury.
- Susan (6/5): Acceptable hotel in Paris for the price. - The hotel is a tall, skinny building with winding, narrow stairs to the rooms and no elevator. So keep that in mind. For Paris, it was an okay place to sleep for the night. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was secure, with a receptionist in view of the front door at all times. Good wifi in the room, but I was on the first floor so not sure what it was like higher up. At first, I had booked a single room but when I got there and he told me the singles were on the 6th floor, I asked to change to a double and got one on the first floor so just one set of stairs. There was a room adjoining mine and the walls were paper-thin but that's Paris. The room is small and the bathroom is smaller. I've seen bigger bathrooms on trains. Nevertheless, it did the job and it was clean. I pity very large people trying to manuevre in the bathroom and the shower though. And I could imagine that two adults in the room would be very cramped with your luggage and bags there too, although the bed is large enough.
I found the area was a good location and there was a Metro stop not far away. Getting to Notre Dame from there was just 5 or 6 stops. Cafe right outside the hotel. I didn't see any other tourists around but this was April so before the big tourist season.
Siempre he usado hotels.com y nunca he visto in hotel como este , escaleras oscuras y peligrosas.
- Rizka Triananda (6/5): would to stay again - Close to metro station and many Halal restaurants around
- Carol (10/5): Belleville is the best and L'Ermitage "magnifique! - Great hospitality! We're returning.
Great location for catching the metro and seeing Paris.
- Darlyne (6/5): value for money - helpful and friendly staff..good location
- Zeinab Haidar (2/5): Horrible hotel - Absolutely horrible hotel rooms, we were on level 3 with no lifts and there is another 4 levels on top of us! The room was in terrible condition when we arrived as we had stinky pillows and blankets and the bathroom was full of genitalia hair and had snot on the mirror! I was mortified! I have been travelling all around Europe and Middle East and this was the worst hotel so far! Plus there is no aircon or fan so you might aswell suffocate at night as you can't even open the windows as insects or animals may come in!
- Tom (6/5): Cheap and Cheerful - I needed a good value bed in the neighbourhood and this did the job perfectly. Room at the back was quiet. Shower/toilet unit was tiny. Room could have done with some more dusting. But the location in a quiet part of east Paris is great and the cafe next door just the job for a morning coffee.
- Matt (8/5): Good Hotel - Good hotel. Cheap with no frills. Small room but nice bed.
- Meron (4/5): - This place was not to our expectation and we immediately regretted our choice. The room is quite small and suffocating. The bathroom is too small and inconvenient. The stairs are narrow, yet no elevator. On the positive side, staffs were friendly and helpful. We were even given the keys to rooms to choose from. Location is not far from the nearest metro station. The room and bathroom was clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Convenient, clean and friendly - Hotel Ermitage is located in the 20th so it was a good distance from heavy tourism :)
The hotel room was very small but clean.
The were very accommodating and friendly.
The room had its own bathroom which was tiny but clean.
We would stay here again and would recommend to friends.
- Anon (2/5): Noisy Neighbours! - This is a lovely hotel...if you don't mind noise and being woken up at a horrendous hour in the morning! Nor if you don't mind almost being threatened by the locals on the way back to the room, nor if you don't mind an uncomfortable bed, a small bathroom, or a tiny telly...but for travellers on a budget - this is your place!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Cheap, ok for the price - Cheap, ok for the price, but my room was on the 6th floor without elevator.
- Brianna (4/5): Only pick if your budget is extremely tight - The location was convenient because it was close to a metro stop, and there was free wifi, but those were about the only redeeming qualities. The rooms and especially beds were disgustingly dirty, the neighborhood was loud, there was no lift which made climbing to the highest rooms with luggage difficult and the room was very hot at night, which made sleeping difficult. I would only recommend if your budget is very tight.
- Mo (4/5): disappointing stay - Very tiny bathroom, the sheets were never changed, the blankets have worked too long for thier money - scruffy with stains, they need to change the whole beddings.
The condition of the hotel does not merit the money paid to sleep there
- Verified traveler (4/5): - the hotel is off the city center in a neighborhood not so nice. the lobby ppl dont speak much english but they tried...rooms are small specially the bathroom. I guess if you just want a place to crash at night and dont mind the 2 or 3 metro transfers to get here it would be ok. no elevators either. would not stay here again. would rather pay a few more euros and stay somewhere else even if its just for a night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): close to the event I was attending - Ratings based on one star hotel rating and brief one night stay. The neighborhood is very nice and feels less touristy than central Paris. Very close to the Jourdain metro station and a grocery store is along the walk to the hotel. The only concern was there was no alarm clock in the hotel room, so the only way I was able to be sure sure I didn't miss my train back to London was to stay up after I returned from my event that night.
- Claudia (6/5): CHeap and locale - Very cramped room, but clean and noisy to the streets.
