Die Lage ist perfekt, die Gastgeber unglaublich herzlich, die Unterkunft und Zimmer sind süß gestaltet mit viel Liebe fürs Detail und sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Wir haben uns von der ersten Sekunde an wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Die Kommunikation und vorab mit den Gastgebern war auch sehr einfach, schnell und unkompliziert Die Unterkunft ist wirklich ein Juwel. Für hellhörige ist am frühen Abend vielleicht noch etwas laut bei offenem Fenster, aber das legt sich später. Und dafür ist die Lage eben auch genial.

We voelden ons echt gelijk thuis in dit prachtige en sfeervolle guesthouse. Een hele rij tips over ontbijt, rustige plekken en trattoria's die je niet direct zelf zou vinden. Daniele and Alessia did their best to make sure our first encounter with Florence was amazing – and the rest of our stay followed suit. We truly enjoyed staying at this property: it felt like being in a grandma’s grand apartment (with some cool cousins represented by D&A). The small touches and thoughtful ideas throughout were especially pleasing. And the sunsets on the terrace, with a cup of coffee and a game of dominoes, ticked all the remaining boxes. I could use some more light in the sink area, but this wasn’t a big problem.

But that seemed to be quite common in these gorgeous historic buildings.

The location is idea, less than 10 minutes from the Duomo with plenty of good cafes nearby. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It was quiet during our low-season stay, which added a nice sense of privacy. Overall, Antica Dimora Johlea is warm, cosy, and clean. It feels like having your own private Italian apartment, with the added luxury of returning to a spotless room and a freshly made bed after a busy day of exploring." We had no complaints; the photos are accurate and the positive reviews are well-deserved so we knew this was going to be a delightful stay. Our only small suggestion would be to provide bottled water in the room, as the tap water was quite warm.

The property is in a wonderful location and our room was extremely clean and cozy! Snacks and drinks were always available in the “gathering room”. However, we used the rooftop terrace many times for a cup of coffee or glass of wine and it could use some spiffing up! • Carrie (10/5): THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY IN FLORENCE ! - The hosts Daniele and Alessi were amazing. We were trying to get there while train strikes were going on and they were wonderful in getting us from the train station to the tram to their area... great care taking of my mom and I. Daniele gave us a great tour. I can't think of anything they didn't think of including a quiet area to socialize or relAx in on another floor. Refreshments and many other treats for guests. The room was so clean and many amenities. The bathroom is clean, nice and a wonderful decor. It's larger than most others we stayed in during our trip. The beds were comfortable. the roof patio was great for watching the sunset and taking beautiful roof top photos of Firenze. The hosts really add to this location recommendation. On thing we didn't expect was the service of making dinner reservations, pastry and gelato recommendations, and more. He is like a walking tour guide when it came to directing us to some of the places we wanted to walk to. He also made sure we had a reliable taxi very early in the morning of our departure. Don't be scared away when you see it's on the third floor, there is a smooth, well working elevator that adds to the flavor of the lovely old building. Highly recommend... this is the place ! We left there a week ago and I still can't come up with a negative to staying here :)

• Emmanuel (10/5): perfect location, perfect facilities, perfect welcome. - The welcoming the check-in and check-out was done in person, with great attention. Alessia and Daniele are very attentive and offer a lot of information and addresses of local restaurants. We could leave our suitcase on the last day and return to pick it up later as we were departing in the afternoon. The hotel is located in a beautiful building 5 min walk north of the centre in a quieter area which is great to escape the crowds of the touristy parts. There are good cheap restaurants nearby (recommendations by our hosts and they were all good) The room was large, the four poster bed comfortable. There is a kettle, a coffee machine and a fridge in the room. On the second floor, there is a communal area with tables, lounge and all facilities for breakfast complimentary of the house. There is also a honesty bar with wine and beer. Finally there is a lovely roof top terrace with views of Florence and the Duomo half a mile away. May be the fridge in the bedroom is quite small and not easy to access between two tables. It wasn't an issue for us but be mindful the apartment is over two floors, three including the roof top.

Highly recommend. - Daniella and Alessandra personally welcomed us, spent an hour going through a map to show us what to do and what to avoid - it was incredibly helpful. It is obvious they are passionate about showing off the best of Florence and care about each guest’s visit. The apartment was very comfortable, snacks and drinks available in common lounge 24/7, daily service, very close to all major attractions but just far enough to be very quiet, rooftop area to oversee the city. Beautiful! Nothing - it was perfect.

Room was clean and area was safe. Very walkable area, about a 15 minute walk from the train station and 10 minutes to the Duomo. They even had umbrellas available for us when it rained the one day! • Patrick (9/5): A Guest House with Character. - The location of Antica Dimora Johlea is excellent, a short, direct walk right into the heart of Florence and all of the main attractions. The Room, quaint and full of character was comfortable and clean. The staff are excellent and so generous with their time, and couldn't do enough for us in terms of ensuring that we enjoyed our stay in Florence. The lift is a bit rickety but is adequate. The stairwell can be a little bit dark, but this all adds to the flavour of this ancient building I think.

Chambre très confortable, dans son style très typique et mention spécial pour le roof top accessible aux clients. Il n'y a pas de petit-déjeuner, mais c'est pas plus mal, c'est plus agréable de sortir le matin boire un cappucino sur une terrasse de la ville ! Peut-être un peu cher (je l'ai réservé grâce à une offre de dernière minute, sinon je ne pense que j'aurais pris cet hôtel).

• Leah (10/5): Incredible stay - We stayed here for 4 nights and I cannot fault the experience. The hosts Daniele and Alessia went above and beyond to ensure that our stay in florence was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. On arrival Daniele messaged me to arrange a time for check in and once we arrived he gave us a tour of the guest house and gave us a map with some good restaurant recommendations and places to see. This was incredibly helpful as he also sent us the links to each of these restaurants. We stayed here for my partners birthday and they were incredibly kind and welcoming, they even gifted my partner a bottle of prosecco for his birthday! The rooftop terrace was by far the highlight of the holiday, the views were amazing and it was well maintained. Me and my partner enjoyed spending every night of our holiday up on the rooftop taking in the spectacular views of florence. It’s in a great location really close to everything you would need in florence, it’s also amazing short walk away from the really busy bit making it quieter at night and more relaxing. On our final night we asked Daniele and Alessia if they would be able to reccomend a good restaurant to go to for my partners birthday dinner and they did not disappoint. They recommended a place called IQ and booked a table for us. It was a really amazing night and a great way to end our stay. If you are looking for somewhere to book in florence don’t hesitate in booking Antica Dimora Johlea guesthouse. To the hosts we cannot thank you enough for making our experience so memorable! I was there during a heatwave and having a small bar fridge in the room for cold water would have made a huge difference. The shared living area was upstairs and not air conditioned.

• Kevin (10/5): Wonderful - What a wonderful property & location. Guest house style. On arrival we were met by Daniele who provided a glass of bubbly and some excellent information on Florence. Particular attention was placed to local cafe’s & trattoria. The room was lovely , facilities wonderful and the roof terrance a lovely location for a quiet drink at night
• James (10/5): Excellent hosts, lovely property - Daniele was excellent with his communications before and during the stay, and took time out on our first morning to give us an excellent overview of Florence advising us on places to go, to eat, avoid, etc. This really set us off with confidence and helped us make the best of our 3 days in the city. The room was also larger than expected, four poster bed, great shower, rooftop terrace, good location with a great cafe (Lietta's) just 3 mins away with the best cappuccino and croissants we had in all our time travelling in Italy. • Nader (10/5): Lovely place! - Fantastic room, excellent facilities, generous and friendly owner. It couldn’t be better.
• Al (10/5): Exceptional - The whole place and my room are beautiful and very clean. Everything I need is available. The staff are very warm and very helpful. The location is also very practical and located in a quiet neighbourhood.

• Izumi (10/5): Fantstico！ - The location of the accomodation is great and the rooftop terrace overlooking the city really gives you the vibe of the city. All the staff were very friendly and coomodating. I reccomend this plece and Ill stay there again when im in the towm.
• Emer (10/5): Very enjoyable - Very safe, convenient & quiet. Close to tram from train station. Everything within walking distance. The staff were very attentive and although the desk is not always manned -Jonas, Danielle and the rest of the staff were only a phone call away and responded quickly to any requests. The breakfast room was very well equipped and the roof terrace was a bonus.
• Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing stay in this beautiful guesthouse. What a great find! Jonas welcomed us (had already been in touch with instructions before arriving so that made it very easy). The room exceeded our expectations, the guesthouse was beautifully decorated it was like a home away from home. The cherry on the cake was the rooftop and the fact that it was so centrally located, close to everything. We will definitely be back. Absolutely nothing, it was perfect
• Wendy (8/5): Perfect base for sightseeing round Florence - Central, lovely 4 poster bed, quiet, very friendly and helpful staff. Jewel in the crown was the delightful roof terrace.
• Harry (10/5): Best affordable place to stay in Florence. - Everything was very clean and well maintained. The management did everything they could to be helpful. Room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels as needed. I wish every place I stayed tried so hard to please the customers. I liked everything

• Michael (10/5): Great hotel, good value - Great hotel, amazing location right in the center, close to everything. Nice historical building, good price, nice cookies and coffee machine in the 'lobby'.
• James (10/5): Exceptional - What an amazing place to stay. The staff could not have been more helpful providing great information about how to enjoy your visit to florance. They are more than happy to help with bookings and advice. The accommodation is superb with a lovely setting. Only 6 rooms makes the place family friendly. A gorgeous roof terrace provides amazing views over the city you won't get in many other places. Less than 5 minutes from the T2 tram and just 30 minutes direct from city airport make it easy access. Then 10 minutes walk and your in tha heart of the city. Who could ask for more.

• Chris (10/5): Great location and welcoming - Loved the greeting and being provided a map of the area and how to find our way around. There was no breakfast, however they do provide a FOC snack bar which was more than sufficient. The Double bed was actually 2 singles pulled together. But that was my only picky point. Their communication views on the terrace are great, where the local cat(s) do like to join you, although they’re not invited into the hotel. Their communication and wishing you a good stay were exceptional.
