• Efren (8/5): Great old world charm just needs a tiny push.+ - I love the old world charm that it has matches very well with the decoration. The window openings being able to see the Spanish steps from the room window, the stairs leading up.to room are very charming very close to transportation , stores, bars and great..restaurants.How everything was nice and neat well.put together and breakfast was fantastic lots of options. They did not have an iron, the elevator was a waiting issue Especially if the person previously left it without closing the door properly and the mattress felt worn and old as well as the sheets .

• Francisco (5/5): - Ubicación y desayuno Las condiciones a la hora de modificar una habitación cuando le dije anticipadamente que mi padre tenía problemas de migrañas y otra cosa le fui a pedir una almohada más y no tenían mas una habitación triple solo disponían de dos.

Os funcionários foram ótimos, principalmente a senhora que cuida do café da manhã que era super simpática e querida. O ponto negativo vai para a atendente que não peguei o nome, uma moça de cabelos longos e escuros . Pessoa que bufava enquanto nos atendia. Tive um problema com o meu cartão cadastrado no booking, mas algo que fugiu ao meu controle, então recebi um aviso de que não havia aceitado o cartão. Mas resolvi o problema gerando um cartão virtual em outro banco que tenho conta. Não era problema de limite ou de dinheiro, mas sim de comunicação da operadora. Essa moça da recepção bufava e nos disse que não iria aceitar o pagamento , que já estava agendado e aprovado pela operadora, porque era suspeita de fraude! Foi tudo tão aborrecido que comecei a procurar outro hotel que pudesse nos atender e então ela disse que poderia ver o meu cartão virtual no meu celular. E como tínhamos ali um status de “fraude” , a diferença que precisei pagar, porque não me atentei que coloquei uma pessoa em cada um dos dois quartos que reservei, ao invés de duas em cada um, teve que ser em dinheiro vivo! Não aceitaram meu cartão de crédito e nem mesmo o cartão de débito da Wise! Fiquei muito nervosa com tudo isso que cheguei a ter um mal estar. E para completar, na noite anterior ao nosso check out, ela veio questionar minha filha sobre o horário que iríamos deixar os quartos. Minha filha disse que se o check out era entre 8 e 11 horas da manhã, era entre esses horários que ocorreria. Pessoa muito , muito desagradável. Outros funcionários eram simpáticos e agradáveis. Não volto e não indico. Barulho do próprio hotel na sala de café e da atendente que mencionei acima. Da atendente que gosta de bufar enquanto mal atende os hóspedes. Da mesma atendente que na noite anterior ao check out já queria saber sobre nossa saída.

Das Frühstück war auch gut Von Vorteil wäre eine Garderobe, oder zumindest Kleiderhaken. Auch im Bad wenig Ablagemöglichkeit, alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Etwas hellhörig.. Die Dachterrasse war nicht immer zugänglich, nur zu Frühstückszeiten.

• Michele (8/5): On y vient et ony revient! - Nous connaissions cet établissement et en avions gardé de bons souvenirs. Nous n’avons pas été déçus. L’emplacement est vraiment excellent. Il n’y a pas beaucoup de chambres ce qui en fait un lieu agréable. C’est une sorte de hôtel particulier. La terrasse pour le petit-déjeuner est vraiment agréable. Le personnel est efficace en cas de besoin. Un effort devrait être fait sur la télévision. Il est impossible d’avoir une chaine en anglais. Je ne parle même pas de français. Avec tous les touristes qui y séjournent, je trouve que c’est un gros manque. J’ai vu cependant que l’on peut souscrire à Netflix environ 7 euros.

• Aleksandr (9/5): Очень хороший номер в настоящем римском отеле. - Нам в основном всё понравилось. Очень удобное месторасположение. Доброжелательный и внимательный персонал, всё на уровне и даже чуть-чуть лучше заявленных трёх звёзд. Несмотря на очень хорошую звукоизоляцию между номерами, практически весь шум с улицы был слышен в номере на четвёртом этаже через окно! На завтрак тоже можно было бы подумать предложить что-то из детского меню. Интерьер из качественных материалов в хорошем вкусе, разве что не хватало каких-то мелочей, как расположение телевизора на столе, мог бы висеть на стене, чуть более продуманное освещение, могла быть более адекватная цена. Но в целом всё очень хорошо!

• ALFONSO (1/5): A que hotel NO ir en Roma, La Lumiere de Piazza di Spagna - La ubicación pero, es lo único medianamente confortable que le va quedando al hotel, la mayoría va mejorando y este se quedó en lo mismo sin ninguna mejora en los años que hemos ido la atención de las personas del backstage y el de recepción. Nos desconocieron la reserva porque según ellos la tarjeta de crédito no aceptó el pago. lo extraño es que fue el único hotel de 3 semanas de viaje que manifestó dicho problema y utilizando la misma tarjeta con todo el resto de los hoteles en los cuales nos quedamos. Escribimos al backstage y no hubo respuesta alguna. Estabamos en otro hotel en Roma, el mismo día de nuestra llegada al hotel nos pidieron confirmáramos la hora de llegada, cosa que hicimos sin embargo al llegar al hotel, nos dicen lo del problema de la tarjeta y que la reserva inicial ya no existe y deben enviarnos a una habitación más pequeña y la última noche enviarnos a otra sucursal del hotel cerca de la estación de trenes cosa que rechazamos porque no me gusta ese barrio. Me toca viajar mucho y nunca había tenido una experiencia así, no fue un tema de Booking si no que solamente de este hotel quien arbitró a su conveniencia las reservas. Nos quedamos sólo una noche y al día siguiente nos fuimos muy desagradados sobre todo con la pésima atención del personal de la recepción en su forma de atender, al punto que nos dijo que nos fueramos a otro lado, un sábado en la noche sin opciones de reserva en otro hotel... . Hablé por teléfono con el administrador quien me gritaba por el teléfono. finalmente por no tener otra opción nos quedamos en ese hotel sólo esa noche. El recepcionista a pesar que mi tarjeta de crédito funcionaba, me exige el pago en efectivo, cosa que estuve obligado a hacer. Al dia siguiente, hoteles de la misma categoría a minutos de este, pasamos muy buenos días ahí y a menor precio, habitaciones más confortables, mejores camas y mejor atención al pasajero y lo más notable es que, la reserva hecha con la misma tarjeta funcionó y pude además pagar con ella... curioso no?

• Isabel (10/5): The perfect Lovebird nest when in Rome! - Authentic and adorable Baroque-style-ish room with an amazing little terrace, from where you can see the Spanish Steps! Loved the romantic Cherub-fresco in the ceiling above the bed. Also lovely fabric "wall-paper"! Beds were a bit hard and the air-con very intense, even if set on the lowest possible. Downside: as this room is situated beside the breakfast room, the noise from the "musack", yes BAD music, playing in the background ( obviously "super-necessary for the clients to help them wake up"!) and the morning activities are a bit of a nuisance!

Rummet enkelt med en säng av mindre bekvämlighet och en AC som inte kunde kyla ner rummet. Frukosten serverades på översta våningen i ett uterum, trevligt och gått. Från uterummet kunde man komma till takterrassen men endast de timmar frukosten serverades så på eftermiddagar och kvällar kunde denna inte nyttjas, väldigt synd.

• Brenda (9/5): Excellent location and helpful staff, with clean rooms - I had a great stay at Hotel La Lumiere Di Piazza Di Spagna. The location was excellent, right in the heart of the city, and the staff were incredibly helpful throughout my visit. The room was very clean, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend the hotel for its excellent service and location. The only downside was the mattress—it was quite hard. I spoke to the receptionist, who was kind enough to add a mattress topper, but it still remained a bit firm for my liking. Additionally, the breakfast was not very inviting.

I thought it be a bit more on the romantic side but was a comfortable spot and one time experience to stay at. Breakfast that was included was simple (slice of ham, slice of cheese, boiled egg, oats, bread/pastries. Staff nice and spoke multiple languages, English being one of them. Location let us walk around town. Not too far from Spanish Steps, shopping and eating/drinking. If your up for walking - which your in a walking town - you can easily walk to many different spots. We enjoyed the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, quite a few Basilicas, Altare Della patria area, Roman Forum and Colosseum. If going via car, it’s a horrible experience. One to get there using Google and apple was crazy. We thought we could drop our bags off then go to the garage as there IS NO PARKING. We tried to communicate via the message portal online and they were responding till the park about us asking about parking. So we arrived at the hotel - I don’t even know if we were supposed to drive that way as people are walking everywhere. They don’t help with the luggage and if a car is behind you then they suggest you move and come back around. So we had to leave without putting our bags down drive around and just parked at the public garage right before the hotel. We used the Android/Google phone because at the hotel when we were first attempting to check in they said to use the Google/android to find the garage. Which they made it se it was somewhere else but it was on the same street. Close to the hotel.

Rome is a walking city, and La Lumiere was wonderfully positioned in the center of it all. The staff was personable, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful throughout the stay. We felt that they were an additional reason to return to this hotel.
