Guest Reviews
- Francis (7/5): Simple and efficient plus a great location - The cleaning was very good and they were very helpful throughout the stay. Great location and close to Termini and 2 min walk to Santa Maggiore.
Breakfast is available although I didn’t try it It’s not modern but most of the properties around termini are not
- Anonymous (8/5): I was very comfortable at this hotel and I especially liked the attached café - The friendly staff and the location. There were many shops near the hotel. The shower was nice.
- Donlatchanai (5/5): Passable -
- Alexandre (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (8/5): Welcoming staff, uncomfortable accommodations - The staff was courteous, but the beds were very hard. We woke up every morning with bug bites even though the windows were closed. The lift was usually not working because someone didn't close the door on the 5th floor so you could either run up to the 5th floor to close it or hike up the 3 floors.
- Caleb (10/5): - Excelent
- Aguilar (10/5): Comfortable - I love the location it’s super close to the train station. The hotel was so old but it was a nice experience and really good and kindness staff The hotel was so old but actually was so nice
- Sanet (7/5): Had a lovely stay - Staff was friendly and helpful Was not comfortable walking in streets at night
- Dalia (10/5): Recommended! - Lili (the receptionist) is very nice, kind and professional. She checked me in the two times I stayed there and everytime she was very lovely.
The room is also spacious with a nice balcony, hair dryer, tv, AC and heater, a fridge, a wardrobe and even a wall bidet sprayer!!!
I really recommend staying at this hotel! Nothing really, everything is good
- Brigitte (10/5): - Its location just 5 minutes to termini station and walkability to other areas.

- Abir (7/5): Good -
- Richard (10/5): - Good place
- Randy (10/5): - staff are very friendly and helpful
hotel is nice and walkable to many tourist attractions
- JOHN (4/5): - The location of the hotel is great with easy access to trains, buses and subway. With that said I found the property very old, no wifi lobby, restaurant or "lounge area". The neighborhood is very dirty with trash everywhere, non stop noise, street is lined with panhandlers. The "hotel" shares the building with at least 3 other hotels, all of them sharing the entrance and a single elevator, which is very old and unsteady. The one staff who spoke English is friendly but none of the rest do and the others Chinese or Italian. If you need a place to crash for one night close to Termini it's ok but beyond that find somewhere else.
- Madhu Mohan Rao (6/5): - Stayed for 7 nights with my family. Didn’t feel safe walking to the hotel. No communication to reception from hotel room. International tourists need to use their phone to call reception. Found Hot water broken in the morning and couldn’t shower a day before going out. No electronic locking on doors and need to carry massive keys. Lights were not working. A/C in the room needs to be turned manually and didn’t feel was cooling enough. Breakfast is provided only after 8am until 10:30am. For those who wanted to leave early before 8am, breakfast isn’t available before 7:30am. Bathroom hygiene faucet is non functional. Shower stall is very tiny for a normal adult and the water spills outside easily when bathing. Washbasin isn’t enclosed and doesn’t have enough to place things on it. Entire bathroom is tiny. Housekeeping is good and performed daily and broken hot water was fixed on the same after we left the room. Very tiny android TV with internet based channels. The big plus is very close and walkable to Roma termini station by foot.
- Ivkamg (6/5): Pleasant -
- Melvin Bautista (6/5): - We have stayed here so many times in the past because of it's close proximity to Roma Termini. The room size is enough for 2 adults with even 3-4 large luggage. There should be hooks to hold coats or jacket outside the closet (nothing found at all). The bathroom is small which will be too tight for someone on the heavy side. Breakfast is okay. Staff helpful and friendly. The surrounding area is not as quiet because of the nearby train station but is safe. I will stay here again because of it's convenience and value for the money.
- Hossain (7/5): Good -
- Stefany (7/5): Good -
- Jiri (8/5): Very good -
- Samir (4/5): Disappointing -
- Marta (8/5): Very good -
- John (7/5): Good -
- Alejandro (10/5): Exceptional -
- A.aliyeva (8/5): Very good -
- NEY (4/5): Terrible! - Not a good experience: no hot water, breaked toillet. We were ready for something not good, due to the price we’re paying. But it was even worse…
- Goldenberg (7/5): Good -
- dawn (8/5): Oldster, but we’ll maintained - Just needed a place to crash before early flight. Price point was good. it was a clean, spacious, and secure room. It’s a very dated property, but well maintained.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mariana (3/5): I wouldn’t stay there again. - Location was good Extremely old and uncomfortable beds.
- Hirokazu (9/5): Superb -
- Christina (8/5): Ten out of ten - Staff was very helpful
- Olly (6/5): - -
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (6/5): Ok standard for the price i paid. - It is close to the train- and metro station. The breakfast was not good. The aircondition was loud and was leaking.
- Willem (10/5): - Friendly efficient service, excellent location close to Rome Termini Station, very good value for money.
- Mayur (1/5): Bad -
- Eugeniu (4/5): Disappointing - Close to train station for those who wish to travel by train.
Receptionist that welcome us was very welcoming and helpful. Very noisy housekeeping in the morning. Poor soundproof. Could hear all the noise from corridor.
Very small bathroom. Door hard to close snd open in very strange system. No proper toiletries like bottles of soap and shampoo (but in small packages like testers.
Hard double bed that separates from moves in the middle and could fall in between.
- May (7/5): Good -
- Mofarah (8/5): Very good -
- Sabri (6/5): - ..
- Elena (4/5): Disappointing -
- Melinda (7/5): Good - Good location, near to Termini. Normal breakfast, good coffee on the terrace. Extremely hot in the room, the aircondition was very noisy, so we had to chose: sleeping in an owen in silence or sleeping in a noisy machine... :(
- Marilou (5/5): Not worth the money - Location Aircon not ok., room is smelly
- Mauro (8/5): - Disponibilità
- Michael (6/5): Definitely paying for the location - It’s not a bad place, except for the mold in the bathroom. It definitely feels like your paying because your close to the train station
- Zhurbenko (10/5): Exceptional - locations, apartments
- Edwin (7/5): Good enough for a citytrip of a few days - Great location (next to Termini station where 2 metrolines cross), friendly staff (especially at the desk), lots of restaurants in the area, breakfast included (every day the same, no buffet unfortunately), but is was nice Breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m., It would be nice if it was possible to have breakfast from 7 a.m.
Bathroom had mold above the tiles, should be cleaned better
- Ani (8/5): Very good -
- Welborn (7/5): Nice location and charming character but really need to get small fridge so guests can keep cold beverages and really ne - it had some old world charm and the cafe breakfast was exceptional. there was no air conditioning or small refrigerator. It would have been intolerable later in the summer. For the price of over 200 Euros a day any hotel should have that. At least a fan or something. There was an air con above the door but they chose not to have them operational apparently. I’d visit again in the winter off season but not during the summer high season.
- Kenneth (1/5): HORRIBLE! - Nothing! The air conditioning didn't work properly. The refrigerator didn't work at all, we were promised another refrigerator, but it never came. The hotel is extremely worn down, the room and toilet looked like something from the 1970s. The beds were hard as a rock, the breakfast was terrible with dry bread, the view was bad and on the last morning we were woken up by extremely loud drilling from the neighbouring room. DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!
- Ted (8/5): - The refrigerator in my room did not work. The hotel was aware but did not inform me.
Each room comes with an AC unit but you've got to ask for the remote. Half of the rooms open on a courtyard which is occupied by a very loud goose!
The hotel staff were very friendly and helped me book a taxi for 6:00 a.m. on the day that I left.
- Rojas (7/5): Good - Breasfast: Excelent The Bathroom is outside
- Carol (6/5): - We ended up staying in a very small room on the very top floor. Room was too small for 2 people and a few stairs needed to be climbed to get there. elevator does not go to very top. That was difficult for us carrying luggage
- Drkamal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Junchuan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dafne (9/5): Superb - Breakfast included and it is near the station
It has elevator and they keep our baggage Later check in
- Newton (7/5): Good - It was affordably priced and conveniently located close to the train station and within walking distance of a lot of major Rome sights. And they had Netflix
- Matija (8/5): Very good -
- Ahsan (4/5): Disappointing - the location the room was too small
breakfast was limited not as it advertised
- Anthony (8/5): Very good -
- Dmytro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thiru (4/5): not recommended at all. breakfast was so bland - the location and staff. Patricia was very helpful the room was very old and the bathroom was leaking water in the cistern and they have a curtain in the shower that caused water to run out. this was sooo bad. they should install shower doors. this is the 21st century
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ανδρέας (7/5): Good -
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Wife & I have stayed at this hotel 3 times. Excellent staff. Good price value. Convenient to Termini trains & Rome's subways for Rome travel.
- Zane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pranali (7/5): Good -
- Khaled (5/5): Passable -
- Anonymous (3/5): disappointing - location is great where to start….
when using the sink the sewage drain was leaking
rooms very outdated
hot water only available in the early morning
wifi didn’t work well
was told we needed to pay in cash although booking explicitly said card is accepted, when leaving discovered they had a card reader
- Franchezca (8/5): Very good -
- Abdellatif (7/5): Good -
- Radhi (6/5): Pleasant - Location is good and staff were nice Internet signal was not stable and disconnected more than 100 times over one night stay. Furniture is old, overall, it is overrated!!
- Darryl (2/5): Traveler beware - I picked this hotel because it’s very close to Roma Termini. The rating seemed safe and it was only for two nights. Checking was fast and easy. Upon getting to the room, we couldn’t get the air conditioning to work, no buttons or dials as the remote was at the front desk, I wonder why. Upon getting it, the unit wouldn’t turn on. We informed the front desk as we were leaving it wouldn’t turn on. She came to our room, hit the reset button on the remote and the unit, she’s done this before it seems. Neither worked, then unplugged the unit from the wall, which tripped the circuit breaker, then it worked. Great we left. Came back that night and it worked for 30 mins when we got back and never again during our stay. We were given a fan for our room the next day. The in room fridge never worked either so we couldn’t even have a cold bottle of water. The morning of our last night, I was told the owner offered compensation for the AC and fridge not working, €10! Yes, ten euros. I was a little shocked at the small jesters. The front desk attendant said she would call to see if the owner would consider €16, the amount of the room taxes. I went back to the room and didn’t get a response from her. Upon checking out, we learned the owner didn’t approve the additional six euros. That was the icing on the cake.
- Verified traveler (2/5): A Hotel, which spoiled my trip to Rome !!! - I paid for a double business room. At my arrival, they were demanding a tax payment. They assigned me a single standard room. Since I complained, they told me to stay a night in the single room, so they could change me to a double the next day. I accepted under the condition of avoiding the payment of additional taxes. The single room curtains were dusty, the room smell dust and it hadn't hot water. The first night was a great disaster for me, an asthmatic person. The next day they change me to a better room - the one I paid for: a double business room with less evident smell. At the moment of checking out, even if they were trying to trick me with a single dusty room and the room was lacking hot water, they were still demanding the tax payment. I refused to pay more for such a bad service and lack of consideration. It's a shame, because the hotel is in a very good area of the most astounding city of the world: The Eternal Rome. Hotel Maryelen 2 ruined my vacations in Roma.
- Diana (4/5): - When you asked a question to the desk , they answer you something and later they changed their mind. The last day we asked a taxi for going back to the El Ciampino Airport and they told us the price was 45 euros; however, when we arrived the taxi driver showed us a ticket for 70 euros!!! Obviusly we had to pay that amount, we were leaving to Germany.
- Stephen (8/5): - This hotel is a great walking distance to/from Roma Termini, which made our travel days every easy. The staff was friendly and helpful, the only downsides were a very thin mattress and almost no water pressure in the shower. But it is very budget friendly and close to train/metro station, so it's good for a night or two, but probably not great for extended stays.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Front desk staff was very helpful. Room was clean. We appreciated the small fridge! Had to ask to get remote control for the air conditioning, was not immediately available.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very good location.. morning staff very friendly but evening staff was not so much.. no card payments!
- Mohammed Faraz (6/5): - It was just about good, nothing great. The AC takes very long to cool the room. The room is enough for just sleeping at night after the day out....
- JOBY (10/5): God value for money - Stay was good and the staff were ready to provide assistance where ever read. It's very close to station and in a walkable distance from the tourist attractions
- Verified traveler (6/5): No hot water, but clean and goid size rooms - Out of 5 nights, I only had warm shower once. Hotel staff is friendly, but powerless with the lack of hot water. The hotel is old, there is no phone or safe in the room, and bathroom is tiny. Upside is the convenient location and large rooms. I didn't see any AC, hot summer months might be a problem (I was there late May).
- Geordierelic (8/5): Roma visit - Helpful, friendly staff. Nice breakfast for 5 euro. Courtyard room preferable, street can be a little noisy. No air conditioning would need it in Summer.
- Verified traveler (4/5): need to be very carefull - we rented two rooms. first one was aceptable. Second room (cuarto del perico) wich means bird's room was inacceptable.
At the check in they told us only cash, but when we move to lock for other hotel they told us they have credit card machine
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Quaint hotel. The staff was very kind and welcoming. The bathroom was pretty bad. Found a cockroach, the shower head barely sprayed water and the drain backed up a couple of times. I think there were bed bugs or something as I had biters each night (1st time in 3 weeks of traveling). The location is ideal for people who need to use public transportation.
- arnold (8/5): - It was a good stay, easy to find from the train station, with a lot of groceries and restaurants around it.
- Oliver (6/5): Only thing good is location and decent breakfast. - The room was spacious. Not much of a view. The bathroom shower was pretty full of mildew inside the shower in the hard to see places from outside the shower where they give it likely a cursory spray down. Used soap still in the soap dish.
- Veronica (8/5): Convenient location for the train station - Lovely and friendly hosts. Stayed only one night after arriving late from a tour. Just needed a bed for the night before catching a early morning train. Very easy and quick walk to train station.
