Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely Venice Stay - This place was situated in a great spot for walking around town for us. We could easily get to a grocery store, restaurants, and some excellent gelato. The place was a comfortable size for us two. Our hosts were informative, friendly, and communicated promptly. We appreciated their hospitality!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Didn’t like : little too far from central , there quite a long walk to saint Mark
Like : this apartment have everything you need , the owner were very detailed. Big bed , very quiet at night . Restaurants and grocery just around the corner .
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Mr. Roberto took care of us . Everything went fine in this apartment. He would texr me if i keeded anything . Nice place would stay there again. And he stored our luggage for us after checkout. Nice gentlemen.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Roberto was very nice!! Venice is beautiful and this apartment is within 25 min walk of everything (i know it sounds far, but you don’t even notice the time!). I personally didn’t have a great experience with more than a handful of people there, but no complaint about the apartment. Just a heads up though, it is NOT a traditional B&B and breakfast includes some croissants and yogurt. WiFi was decent but it might just be Italy’s connection.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Me and my gf stayed here as a base to explore Venice. We arrived mid afternoon and were met by Roberto, the B&B owner and manager. He was an absolutely great bloke who was extremely personable and great with us. He explained check in and check out information, informed us of the facilities and told us how to find our apartment. The apartment we booked was quite large, very clean and well equipped. The standard of furnishings was more than acceptable. The beds and linen were spotless and very comfortable. The B&B location is pretty good and most places in Venice are within 20 minutes of it. Would definitely stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Such a quaint and friendly city. This B&B is in the centre next to a canal. Breakfast was fine: milk, bread, jam, juice, yogurt.
We loved our stay here.
Upon arrival we were greeted by Marina; she is amazing. Very accommodating and friendly. This city and the people are super friendly and warm. The architecture and history are breathtaking. She gave good recommendations for dining, drinking and site seeing. We even did the walk she shared with us the first day.
The apartment is comfy and clean. Shower was great and heated rack for towels. Definitely room was heated well and also loved the windows could open to get some fresh air. Romantic vibe.
Love this spot. Will come back
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A warm welcome from the owner, facilities were ideal for our family of 4, quieter part of Venice yet just 10 minute walk to San Marco. Would definitely recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We've just spent a couple of great days in marvellous Venice. The B&B is comfortable and conveniently located in a lively area close to a park. Kind and helpful hosts. Recommended
- Michael (10/5): - Clean, comfortable, quiet B&B close to the Biennale in Venice near a busy shopping street. Hosts were friendly and helpful. I was worried that there might be too much noise from the lively outside but found the rooms to be quiet when it came time to sleep.
- Leo (10/5): - This is a great apartment in a very lively typical area. The bed we had was really comfortable, the suite overall comfortable if with a smallish bathroom. Slight downside the continental breakfast. Definitely recommended.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - My fiancé and I loved this wonderful little B&B. Clean, comfortable, well located, efficiently run, great ethos. Good breakfast. Very reasonably priced too. We will certainly return.
- Martha (10/5): - I stayed at this B&B for a couple of nights and I was satisfied. First I tried speaking with my bad Italian but I quickly switched to english and it wasn't a problem with the owner, which acted really friendly and I appreciated it.
The apartment, which was fairly big, had one large bedroom, TV, a lounge with a table and a couple of chairs, a kitchenette, some places to store things and an appropriate lavatory.
Everything was very clean.
One minor drawback was the church nearby that clearly cannot be popular with those that like to sleep in the morning (like me). The bell got pretty wild at about 7 a.m. and didn't stop for at least a minute maybe a bit more. Windows did not help very much.
I only tried out the kitchenette in the morning during breakfast and everything was alright.
In general, I was satisfied with my stay: I had my privacy, enjoyed the continental breakfast and can only make positive recommendations.
- Rob (10/5): - We stayed two days in this cosy apartment located in a quiet neighbourhood. All the main attractions are just a short walk away but there's also a vaporetto stop nearby.
We found the apartment very clean and tidy.
Great value for money
- Verified traveler (10/5): B&B conveniently located in Venice - A lovely apartment, clean an comfortable with wi-fi and a useful kitchenette. Breakfast is ok, location is great.
- Tony (10/5): - Venice is a must see city. Very crowded during the day with tons of tourists swarming around its alleys but worth staying the night as it quietens down and you have a magical city to yourself. B&B Giardini is very well run and has private flats with all the amenities. Highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (10/5): great Venice - We finally had the opportunity to visit Venice! Stayed for a couple of nights in this cozy B&B, very conveniently located in a charming neighborhood a bit off the beaten path. Locals were friendly, food was amazing, and we also got some useful tips from out hosts that proved very helpful. Recommended
- Verified traveler (10/5): Such a treat! - B&B Giardini is everything we wanted for our weekend in Venice. The location near the Art Exhibition is ideal for touring. A lively neighborhood that is quiet at night. Rooms are attractive and comfortable, with large windows and modern facilities. Breakfast of yogurt, pastries and jam while sitting in the kitchen was ideal for planning our day. The best part of this place, though, are the people. Roberto and Marina were welcoming and offered many helpful suggestions. Bravo to all.
- Verified traveler (10/5): B&B in the heart of Venice - We stayed for a couple of nights in a comfy apartment in a quiet area within walking distance of all main attractions. Rooms have A/C but we didn't use it since there's no need for it in late September. As you step outside there's a good selection of typical bars and restaurants.
Hosts are fine, and the city is great.
- Verified traveler (10/5): B&B Giardini turned out to be great - The place is great because it is in the centre of the city. Accomodation is great, there's a nice bathroom with a large shower box. Wide band internet is accessible and works very well.
Marina is very friendly and a great host. It seems like a set phrase but we really recommend this place all over.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place in Venice - We stayed here and absolutely loved it, great location and even better accommodation. Good bars and restaurants in the direct vicinity a very typical comfortable accommodation, a pleasant surprise. Our recommendations 100% When returning we will be delighted to reside here once again. Enjoy Venice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): very good bed and breakfast - Stayed in B&B Giardini for just one night. Our plane was two hours late by our hosts waited for us well past midnight and then took us to an immaculately clean apartment. Next morning we had an abundant continental breakfast and off we went to explore the enchanting city of Venice. A lovely experience!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fine Venetian stay - Comfortable B&B within walking distance of Biennale Art Exhibition. There's a vaporetto stop nearby. Neighbourhood packed full of traditional bars and restaurants. We had a lovely stay
- Denyse (10/5): - Location was close to St. Mark’s Square and quite walkable.
- david (10/5): Feeling welcome - A lovely B&B. Large apartment with kitchen facilities and fabulous air conditioning. Hosts are friendly and helpful if you need anything. Thank you!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice stay - I travelled to Venice with my family and two kids of 6 and 8. We really enjoyed our stay at B&B Giardini. The flat was very nice, very clean and spacious, perfect for a family. The owner is extremely kind and always available should you need suggestions for the trip. Breakfast is good and rich. It is located close to a waterbus stop from where you can reach by vaporettos any place in the city and the lagoon.
- Verified traveler (10/5): One fine night in Venice - We arrived late from our long flight so were a little tired.
On arrival a courteous gentleman offered us a glass of wine and showed us to our apartment. He arranged dinner for us at a nearby restaurant...amazing place...and within an easy walk.
The location was great, breakfast was good, and there was a lovely balcony as well.
We wished we stayed longer!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely B&B - Comfy spacious apartment in good position for visiting magical Venice. Owner always willing to lend a helping hand and share his tips about secrets spots of the city
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not as listed - The place is clean, far from Sta Lucia close to St Marcos. This property should not be listed as a hotel because it is not. I reserved a room, but I was accommodated in a small suite in another location. The owner called me several times to my cell to tell me that they were overbooked so they offered me a two bedroom apt. They wanted me to cancel my booking through hotels.com and pay cash only at the property. The owners seem to be a senior couple without experience in hospitality. They wanted me to call them when I arrive so the wife can pick us up. We had to wait 20 minutes late at night to be picked up. Then they wanted us to pay cash at our arrival. The husband wanted to walk us to an ATM to get the money. One of the improvised bed broke while sleeping the first night. The breakfast was a bottle of juice, milk and bread. The owners seemed to be stressed out, this property should be listed as Airb&b, not a hotel. The address was different from the one listed in in the webpage.
- Jan (6/5): - the apartment was not what we expected and nothing like the photographs - no terrace, no living room, no view of canal. Breakfast was a loaf of bread, butter, jam and coffee - nothing like the reviews. It was clean and close to all the attractions but bathroom very cramped and no where to sit apart from the beds as didn't want to sit on dining chairs all the time. Didn't take photos of the apartment as nothing special. it certainly wasn't built 3 hundred years ago but in 1936 (I think that was in the entrance hall!) .
- Rachel (8/5): Great value for money - Beautiful apartment walking distance to everything. Staff very helpful and communicated every day to check everything was ok. Great value for money, great taste of Venice life in local community area. Nice park near back with restaurants/ bars close by at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
- Cathy (6/5): - It was in a lovely area. Not far from the Vaporetto's to get around town. It is on the 3rd floor, so if you have trouble climbing stairs, do not stay here. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was very simple. There were many restaurants close by. I enjoyed my stay there.
- K.A. (6/5): - The location was excellent and Marina was lovely . However the apartment is very dated and tired and the bath room minute so much so that you. Could not get your feet in front of you when seated in the toilet . Also it was up three flights of stairs! The breakfast is all prepackaged and very ordinary. We warmed to the apartment but would not recommend it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hosts were very friendly and helpful. For breakfast, packaged croissants, bread, jelly, coffee, milk and peach juice was made available.
The B&B was away from the busier areas.
- Louise (10/5): Wonderful for biennial - I highly recommend Bed & Breakfast Giardini. The area (in between Arsenale and the Giardini) is, of course, perfect for going to the Venice biennial but it is also relaxed, with markets and small bars and so on at non-touristy prices. Robert did everything possible to make our stay an enjoyable one. It was easy and convenient to find the place, leave bags, etc. The only "precautionary" remark I would make about the apartment is that, were you someone very tall (over 6 feet, say) or rather big, you might find the bathroom and toilet arrangements a bit constraining in terms of space. Otherwise, everything was perfect.
- Shirley (10/5): Great stay - We enjoyed our time in Venice and at bed and breakfast Giardini! Good location and nice owners!
- Veronica (10/5): A little gem few steps from Biennale Exhibition - Very pleased with stay. Giardini B&B is lovely and clean with friendly hosts and good continental breakfast included. The rooms were spacious, though the shower cubicle was a bit on the small side (I'm quite chubby!) It offers real value in a location close to all major sites. Would recommend most highly.
- Alex (10/5): Good Venetian B&B - We enjoyed our stay here. We were met by friendly Roberto and Marina who spoke good English and proved wonderful hosts. Our apartment (for three) was roomy and modern. The living room had big windows and a balcony with a nice view overlooking a canal. The location is within walking distance of most of the city. Breakfast was included and it was adequate. Easy to get to/from the airport by public transportation.
- John (10/5): Perfect spot in Venice - We stayed in June 2017 with our two kids and found the apartment just perfect. Immaculately kept, ideally located steps from the Biennale Exhibition, spacious and practical. Amazing value as well! All the amenities required for a self-service stay. No-nonsense arrangements and genuine hospitality. I wish we could find lodging like this everywhere we go! We loved it and will recommend this establishment to everyone we know who visits Venice!
- Gary (10/5): Made to feel welcome - Excellent position, very good staff.
The apartment on the 2nd floor was comfortable and provided everything that we as a family of 3 could need. Few minutes away from St Mark's with all the liveliness that Venice could provide. There are a lot of typical bars just a stone's throw from the apartment, and I especially liked sitting down for a beer after a day of touring around before I hit the sack. I hope this place stays a well kept secret. Can't wait to return. Thank you Marina & Roberto!
- Theresa (10/5): Very nicely located accomodation - The property is very well located in the old town and has a very nice view overlooking a canal. There is a little kitchenette with a fridge, a kettle, a toaster and an oven (some pots, crockery and cutlery are provided, as well.)
Wifi was ideal: it worked beautifully!
All in all the apartment was beautifully quiet, spotless, comfortable and affordable.
Continental breakfast.
- Greg (10/5): Great value for money - B&B Giardini is perfectly located a stone's throw from the main attractions but far enough that there is no noise. It is also close to the waterbus lines.
The apartment was very large. A large bedroom and a well appointed kitchenette, dining and lounge and a small bathroom. Big windows at the front and in the bedroom allowed a bit of ventilation. Air con and wifi work fine.
You wouldn't call this place a cutting edge design hotel, but it is extremely functional, very well priced and in an excellent location. The owners were also very friendly and ready to help. The bars on the street have good wines, draught beer and a nice local vibe.
I would highly recommend this place for singles, couples or families/groups of three or four. Plenty of space and excellent value.
- Kate (10/5): Super Appartment - We would highly recommend the Giardini B & B. Superbly situated.
Great contact from the owner with very clear instructions on how to find them.
We stayed in a two room apartment around the corner from the B & B. It was spacious & very clean. The appartment had air conditioning as well as wifi.
Lovely restaurants nearby as well as a co-op very close.
We highly recommend the Giardini. Stay here!
- Richard (10/5): First class BnB - The apartment is in a building which is at least three hundred years old and has structurally and decoratively little changed from the day it was built. New bathrooms have been installed and there is free wifi throughout the house.
Old Venice, modern Venice! The apartment is totally quiet and there was no noise at all from the outside. Breakfast consists of cereals, yogurts, pastries and fruit juice. There's everything one needs in the kitchen to cook one's own meals. The area around the BnB is largely residential and there are fortunately many restaurants within easy access. As a base for exploring Venice this would take some beating for comfort and value. Highly recommended
- Paula (10/5): Very nice B&B in magical Venice - This was our second visit to the beautiful city of Venice. We chose B&B Giardini because we wanted to be in the center but a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the streets around St Mark's. We could not have made a better choice.
Marina was just delightful and very welcoming. She gave us a rundown on the history of the city which was fascinating; and the apartment was just beautiful. I really wish we could have stayed longer.
Our large apartment, although facing the street, was very quiet, and the bed was super comfy.
The wi-fi connection was perfect, and I was so excited to be in this most amazing place that I even had the urge to Skype my Mom at home so I could show her our lovely accommodation and the vista we enjoyed from the window!
When we next return to Venice we will definitely stay here; no doubt about it.
- Hal (10/5): Good choice for a B&B in Venice - Spotlessly clean and comfy rooms in typical apartment. Good breakfast. Located on quiet street in a lively neighborhood, with easy access to Venice's attractions. Nice local cafes nearby.
- Elizabeth (10/5): First class B&B - This is a great B&B near the Art Exhibition about a 15 minute walk from St Marks' Square. The train station is a thirty minutes ride away on charming vaporettos. The B&B has all modern conveniences including free wireless internet. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Accommodation prices are definitely reasonable and we found everything was immaculately clean. Breakfast was good.
A perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing.
- Oleg (2/5): Terrible experience in Venice - The fact is that we are faced, in my opinion with, fraud. We were not given a apartment, which we booked. We were given completely another apartment in different place. Accordingly, give the right review about the hotel that we booked, but did not receive I can not. I will give review about the apartment we lived in.
Firstly. We booked an apartment with a view of a Venice canal. But in the end we had a very strange apartment without the expected view that we saw in the pictures on Expedia. We had a view of a neighboring house walls and narrow street. Secondly. The bed in the apartment was terrible. The blanket was without a blanket-cover. We thought that one of the bed sheets (there were two of them) could be a blanket cover but, instead, it was covering a very dirty and rumple second sheet. We thought that a lot of guests had slept there before us...
Permanent smell of sewage in the bathroom!
Communication with host before arriving was perfect! I got all necessary advices, navigation. But on arriving all positive moments were gone.
About payment. Expedia shows - payment VISA/MASTERCARD, but in reality - cash only! It is not a problem, but uncomfortable in XXI.
I requested an iron in advance. Was it difficult to verify before how it works.
We did not have time to find out the relationship with the host, we were just two days in Venice.
A warning for other guests: please, be careful choosing an apartment of this owner!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quaint acommodations close to attractions - Roberto was very welcoming and very quick in responding to questions about how to use the heater and any other issues with the rooms. He was very thorough in the check in process, taking the time to show us all the amentities and how to work everything. Master bedroom bed was comfortable - the extra cots were less comfortable. The building is older, so it has some electrical quirkiness.
Great location and quaint area - best gelato store was right around the corner and it was very convenient to have the grocery store around the corner as well.
It was just a short 15 minute walk along beautiful waterfront to St Mark Square and many attractions.
- Arti (8/5): Nice independent apartment at accessible distance - Our experience was very nice! The owner of the apartment kept awake until we reached so late at 23:00 hrs. He was very warm and meticulously showed us every minute detail of the apartment and the breakfast arrangements.
The apartment was extremely neat and tidily kept. It was pretty warm and cozy and the Wi fi worked absolutely well. All in all, we had a comfortable stay there for three nights. It is at an accessible distance from the main city, in Via Garibaldi, if you wanna check on Google maps. The supermarket is also close by to bring stuff to cook at the kitchenette!
Just one concern we had, that the washroom was too compact! That's it! Rest everything was very good!
- Udo (10/5): Very good choice - This B&B was just perfect for our stay. The apartment was large, we had a comfortable sitting room, the bathroom was modern and there was nothing amiss. The breakfast was good. The owners were very helpful and forthcoming. Though we stayed for only two nights, the comfort and warmth of this place made our visit to Venice memorable. If we come back to Venice it will be our first choice.
