Guest Reviews
- Aldie (6/5): Mildew Odor - It was a terrible experience, I got to the building and no one would open the door for me. I didn't know that the owner didn't live there, so a nice young man that resides in the back building was sweet and called the owner for me, to let him know that I was there waiting for him. After like 1 hour he arrived and gave me the keys to the building and the room. Then when I got inside there was a bad mildew odor so I had to open all the windows to get some fresh air. After that bad experience everything went smoother, found out that the Vatican was within walking distance, learned how to get on the metro, which was close.
- Verified traveler (6/5): very good localisation, 400m to Vatican Museums - the stay was overally quite pleasant but the english of the hosts was sometimes lacking, also we suffered from allergies a lot as the building is placed in the basement and there is a lot of fungi
- Aldie (4/5): NO Breakfast/ Stinky/ Moldy - First of all, there was no place outside the building that said what doorbell to ring for the place, the name of the B&B was no where, if it wasn't for a very nice guy that lived in the building and had the owner's telephone number I wouldn't have been able to get inn to my room. The owner lives away from the place, he just bought packs of pasteries, and had milk and old orange juice in the fridge and old moldy coffee for a breakfast that I was supposed to serve myself with. I don't know how old was the pastry so I didn't dare eat any of it. The bathroom was reeking, the sewer pipe was horrible smell coming out of the restroom, had to open all the windows for the smell to die down a little and put some kind of desinfectant in the toilet. The bed was hard as a rock, but I liked that no one bothered me cause I was there alone. I left a day early, hope I can get reimbersed for that.
- Adam (2/5): Nice staff until payment...... - We had another appartment temporary in a basement without window with a promise of moving in 2 days...After i paid the money, the owner was unavaible. Never answered emails and phone.
- Jose (2/5): Worst Euro experience! - Very bad hosting service and the condo was not located where they offered it on line.
Very bad neighborhood.
- Ali (2/5): No! No! No! Don't think about it at all !!! - This is not a hotel. 2 rooms in an old building's basement.
No one to open the door on your arrival. You need to call hotel's number asking the manager/reception/owner... to come. What if you don't have a cell phone like me?!?! :(
Doors are not even wide enough to bring in your large baggage. Don't think about the stroller if you have infant.
Breakfast, lol !!! Boil the water on the stove, coffee and tea are available on your preference. Jam is in the fridge and there are some cookies on the table.
- Richard (2/5): Complete Disappointment - It's certainly not a hotel as there is no Front Desk or Office. Understandably being that it's a B&B, the set up is different from a typical hotel. But it is very concerning when the airport shuttle driver is the PBX operator, and the listed number for the property is his personal cell phone. They also do not disclose that they so not take credit cards and require cash payment in full upfront. Don't expect any registration cards or anything of that sort either. And the receipt is hand-written. Certainly different from a typical hotel or B&B. oh, and lets not forget what they classify as continental breakfast is a bunch of pastry sitting on the counter.
- Carlo & Lorelei (10/5): Siamo stati benissimo.
Gabriele has been personable available and reliable since the first day. The apartments were real close to the city centre and the Vatican is just three blocks away!! The rooms were clean and the price was accessible.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - 还不错
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay away from this place. - Hotel was listed As a B+B. It really was a run down, mold invested apartment.
- Bluealistair (4/5): Nice location but... - This is not a hotel. No proper reception , it was on a basement. Breakfast was composed of packaged cakes... The shower is quite small... The place smelled old and that of a mildew... The good points - very near the Vatican, room was quite clean and of course cheap... However, cheap does not really mean comfort!
- Ann (8/5): Francesca Residence, Rome - close to vatican - Very comfortable stay here. Has 2 ensuite bedrooms only (suitable for a group/family up to 5), kitchen useful for cooking meals; tea and coffee and basic breakfast provided. Spotlessly clean thanks to Maria - Romanian Italian who comes daily. Close to Vatican, walking distance to Metro. Security very good. We would be very happy to return as it felt like home.
Although the information mentions a restaurant attached, we didn't see one.
