• Kathleen (4/5): Finding the B&B - They gave the wrong address so it was hard to find. There is no signage for it. The traffic noise was so loud I hardly slept.

• Jenchinan (6/5): Location was amazing! - The room was ok. When you book the room, do not forget to mention what you need during your stay (towels, a/c, breakfast) as you need to pay extra. If you forget, you will need to wait until next day during reception time. The location was excellent, everything is nearby within walking distance. Room were a bit noisy if you open the window as it is a restaurant nearby. (Room no.1). Room no3 is at the back of the street but it is close to pantry.
• Antonella (6/5): Da tornarci - Sono stata a Roma per un intervento agli occhi al San Giovanni Addolorata. Ho scelto questa struttura per la posizione,vicino all'ospedale e alla fermata della metro. Sono rimasta soddisfatta della camera,piccola ( eravamo in tre) ma carina e pulita e con il lavabo in camera mentre la doccia e il wc erano in uno spazio a parte. C'era un po' di confusione la notte perché le finestre affacciavano su piazza San Giovanni ma c'erano anche molte osterie e ristoranti. Gentilissima la proprietaria e molto disponibile . Sicuramente ci tornerò .

• Randi (4/5): 5 dager på B&B Basilica Square, Roma - Hyggelig dame i resepsjonen, viste oss rom og kjøkken. God i engelsk. Ok rom,trådløs Wi-fi og gode senger. Vendte ut mot gate med 11filer og trafikklys.Ekstremt mye lyd fra bremsende og oppstartende biler hele døgnet,åpent vindu var svært ubehagelig. Med 30++ i Roma, og ingen aircondition, ble det et varmt opphold. Mange kalde dusjer for å kjøle seg, men ettersom gulvet ble fullt av vann ved dusjing ble det også problematisk. Håndklærne måtte brukes til å tørke opp på gulvet.De ble ikke skiftet før det var gått 3 dager. De to siste dagene fikk vi nye håndklær. Rommet ble vasket og sengen redd opp hver dag. God hjelp i resepsjonen på spørsmål om Roma. Kjøkkenet:lite og dystert,fristet ikke til bruk.
• Leonid (10/5): Аривидерчи, Рома! - Останавливались на 3 дня, апартаменты скромные, но есть все необходимое для проживания. Чистый номер, после ремонта,на кухне есть даже посудомоечная машина, которой мы не пользовались. Единственное неудобство- окно выходило на шумную улицу. Спасибо Сильване за проявленное внимание и помощь в некоторых вопросах.

• PJ (6/5): Naja... - Nicht einfach zu finden. Musste 20 Minuten auf der Mitarbeiter warten. Der hat keine lust gehabt, und sprach kein fast englisch. Aber genug um mich um sofortige Bezahlung zu fragen. Keine tips, keine Rundgang, kein gar nichts. Klimaanlage im zimmer war echt toll aber bissi laut und tropfte standig auf ein hingelegte Handtuch die ich wechseln durfte bzw musste um geräuch zu minimieren. Wusste erst am 3. Tag um kleine küche. Meine Toilette war im Flur (was ich wusste) aber es war auf der andere Seite der Flur. Bei alles und jedem vorbei durfte ich laufen. Der Toilette war ein Katastrophe. Haare überall. Wirklich überall. War sicherlich nicht professionell geputzt sondern von Mitarbeiter. Nov Bueno!! Haupteingang war manchmal sehr schwer auf zumachen. Fernseh nur auf italienisch. Zum schlafen und weg reicht es irgendwie aus. Vielleicht besser mit Toilette im zimmer.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Should have read more reviews - This is not a B&B in the sense that most Americans, Canadians, or Brits/Irish, etc, would think that it is. They rent out converted apartments. The location of the B&B is NOT the same as where they rent the places, although I imagine that they are all relatively close. Not knowing this, it certainly caused me some confusion and disappointment. In addition, there is no real "B&B", but rather, just a building, up some stairs, and with a sign on an apartment door. You have to call the person ahead of time to let them know that you'll be dropping by. I had to wait over 20 minutes for them to show up, and tell me to take my things around the corner, etc. While the place I ended up was nice and clean, if I had known this before, I would not have decided to stay here, as I wanted to stay at a more traditional B&B. There was no breakfast, also. Basically, go in knowing this information and you'll probably be fine.

• Anett og Ricki From (10/5): Perfekt beliggenhed - Det var et udmærket værelse. Da det er et billigt "hotel" kan vi ikke forlange den store luksus, men vi skulle også kun sove der, så det var OK. Rengøringen var i top. Beliggenheden var i top, da der ikke var langt til den nærmeste metro. Der var selvfølgelig larm fra gaden, men kan jo ikke forvente andet, når det ligger ud til en stor gade.
• Frans Christiansen (10/5): Skøn beliggenhed - Rigtig fint, der var ingen i receptionen da vi ankom, man skulle ringe til et italiensk nummer, men straks derefter dukkede en receptionist op. Super beliggenhed 1 km. fra Colosseum og gode kaffebarer nedenunder.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Cheap but smells - The staff were very friendly. I had booked a room without an internal bathroom but they upgraded me to a room with an internal bathroom for free. Unfortunately the room smelled like stale body odour for the whole three days that I was present, despite me trying to blast it out with open windows and/or (quite good) airconditioning. There is a common area with crockery, cutlery and a small fridge which you can use so that is a positive. Also, only 20 mins walk to Roma Termini. Overall the building/ accommodation is a bit shabby-looking but I suppose that is to be expected at cheap prices.
• Mikkel (10/5): Precis vad vi behövde! - Vi hade en fantastiskt romantisk och givande helg. Bra läge, mysigt rum, bra belysning, bra service. Enda minus var att det var lyhört mellan rummen (men det brydde vi oss inte om).
• Klara (10/5): Nära alla sevärdheter - Gångavstånd till colosseum, och då alltså hela centrala Rom vilket är perfekt om man vill hinna med mycket under sin vistelse i staden. Rummen var enkla, men med ett bra och fräscht badrum. Egen nyckel till rummet och hela huset, vilket gav en enorm frihet. LIte knapphändig service om man checkar in efter klockan 16 då man måste ringa och ha sig, knöligt. Framförallt när inte hela personalen kan engelska... God frukost som ingick på en bar i närheten.
• Goran Pranjic (8/5): Zentrallage tolle Anschlussmöglichkeiten Bus/Metro - Die Unterkunft und die Sauberkeit des Zimmers liegt im Standardbereich. Aufgrund von schalldichten Fenstern der Unterkunft wurden wir vom naheliegenden Verkehr nicht gestört. Durch die zentrale Lage konnten alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten entspannt wahrgenommen werden. Der Aufenthalt war großartig. (Empfehlenswert)
• Jesper Nørgaard (8/5): Positivt overrasket - Værelset var rigtig fint, og der var aircondition, hvilket er meget vigtigt i august, der temperaturen gerne rammer 35-37 grader. Vi blev positivt overraskede over værelsets standard, da det var forholdsvist billigt. Sengen var fin, og vi havde eget badeværelse med bad. Der var i bund og grund kun to ting, som vi ikke har helt tilfredse med. Først og fremmest var der ingen i receptionen, da vi ankom, så vi blev nødt til at ringe efter dem. Det skal dog siges, at der ikke gik mere end 10 minutter, så stod der en smilende kvinde, som talte perfekt engelsk. Derudover råbte, skreg og græd vores nabo ret meget, og væggene var åbenbart en smule tynde. Det holdte os vågen i mange timer. Derudover var det en rigtig god oplevelse, og jeg vil klart anbefale stedet! Rimelige priser og fin placering.
• Robert W (6/5): Helt greit hotell. Noen mangler - Med tanke på at det er et ganske rimelig hotell bare litt utenfor bykjernen, kan man ikke forvente for mye. Det var et koselig rom (leilighet) og et trygt nabolag. På minussiden kan følgende tre punkter trekkes inn: 1. Resepsjonisten var ikke tilgjengelig om morgen eller kveld. 2. Lysbryter til rommet var i gangen (ikke i rommet). 3. Frokosten stod ikke til forventningene, og betjeningen kunne ikke engelsk.
• dheeraj (6/5): no complaints - Room was ok, basically serves all what you need not any wants. our room's shower size was very small i mean really small. the basin to wash hands was in bed room instead of in bathroom. Breakfast is in another bar next to the building not like buffet breakfasts you get at other places just coffee and sandwitch I had chosen this one because of breakfast (instead of a hotel without one) which wasnt really worth. But plus point was we could use their kitchen with all appliances
• Bitner (8/5): Doskonałe położenie - Jestem bardzo zadowolona z pobytu. Pokój (3-osobowy) był czysty i wygodny, moze tylko łazienka była troszkę mała i dużym osobom trudno się w niej obrócić, nie mówiąc juz o połozeniu gdzieś ubrania czy szamponu i mydła. Był też problem z brakiem ciepłej wody, ale po zgloszeniu obsługa sie z nim uporała. Bardzo wygodne było to, ze można było korzystać z kuchni, co pozwalało na przygotowanie drobnych posiłków. Zdecydowanie atutem Basilica Squere jest jej lokalizacja , niedaleko Koloseum, blisko metra i przystanków autobusowych.
• Lorena (8/5): Very good - We had a pleasant stay at the b&b. It is located very centrally. Lots of noise from ambulances from a near by hospital. Don't stay by the window. The breakfast was extremelly bad however. You have breakfast at a near by bar and it was bad food and awful service. But over all I very much recommend the place.
• Mavilde (6/5): Sin servicio de recpecion - La ubicacion del hotel es muy buena. Esta cerca de hospitales y las ambulancias durante la noche son una constante, es un poco ruidosa. El desayuno en un bar cercano no es precisamente bueno ni abundante, pero el apartamento en el que estabamos tenia utensilios de cocina y refrigerador y terminamos desayunando en el apartamento. Al estar ubicado en otro edificio distinto al de la recepcion, la conexion a internet no es posible, requiere irse a la zona cercana a la recepcion (escaleras) ya que no esta abierta todo el dia. El servicio de recepcion es bastante malo, no esta abierto durante todo el dia y ademas pedimos un servicio de taxi al aeropuerto a muy tempranas horas de la mañana y finalmente tuvimos que llamar nosotros mismos al taxi porque no aparecio nadie a la hora acordada.
• Mike (4/5): Småting ødelægger oplevelse - Værelset var pænt og ligger rigtigt godt. Men deres lovet wifi virkede ikke og gentagende gange lovede de at få det fixet men det skete aldrig. Der var svamp under vinduekamme både på badeværelset og i sove værelset. Morgen maden fandt sted på en lille cafe rundt om hjørnet. Vi brugte det 2 af de 10 nætter vi boede der, så ringe var det. Man skulle ellers tro at de kunne lave en pæn kop kaffe i Italien, men ikke lige der. De er ellers meget søde på hotellet og flot værelse men der er så mange småting som bare ikke er gode nok. Desuden skulle vi betale for hele opholdet 5 minutter efter vi var ankommet og ikke en gang havde set på værelset.

Staff was nice enough and tried to help, but I would have preferred everything to work without having to go and find help each time. On the plus side, the location is excellent, and the price is low.

• Chuck (8/5): Good Hotel For The Price - It's a good hotel with a friendly, helpful staff. The only negative comment is that you must reach the hotel before 4:30 p.m. at initial check-in or you must call a telephone number for further arrangements. It's a little difficult when you don't have cell service while visiting. Fortunately, the building concierge met me at the door when we arrived late, and we enjoyed our stay.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Great location - poor breakfast and very noisy - Great location - 10 min walk to colloseum. The room was very very noisy so try to book a room off the street. Breakfast had packaged goods and children's chocolate flavored cereal. Instant coffee available. TV did not work and hair dryer broken. Clean room and comfy bed. This is a B & B....they should serve a simple breakfast with hot coffee every morning over a 2 hour period rather than leaving packaged stuff out for days and weeks with instant coffee in cabinet.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Would not recommend... - The B&B was clean, but that's about it. We were told to call one of the staff members when arriving at the train station, and that the person would then be at the b&b in 30 minutes. We did as told, but when I spoke to the person on the phone he said it would take 45 minutes. In reality it took 1 hour, so we waited at the b&b for 30 minutes before anyone arrived. When the person arrived he gave us a quick apology, and then spent 15 minutes complaining about the traffic, sighing and feeling sorry for himself. This was kind of annoying. We were also wondering if he might have been drunk or at least very hungover... The rooms were simple, but okay. The shower was terrible. It seemed that the shower head was partly clogged and so half of the water was just prickling down, and the rest (because of the other holes being blocked) came out with such force that it actually hurt your skin. And there was no way to control it. Either you didn't get enough water, or you got hurt. I found the door to our room very difficult to lock and unlock, it seemed you needed some special technique to do it. The breakfast too was miserable and the traffic outside in the morning was kind of annoying. Will not stay there again.

• sigalit (10/5): the best hotel in rome - I stayed at the hotel with my 3 sisters. the rooms very clean 'and big 'they have nice bathrooms. the brekfast was nice you can get to the kichen all day long.the hotel is close to the colosseum. the girls in the receipt wher remarkable thy made our days very nice. I would recommend this b&b hotels room to anyone who looking to have a gret time in rome.
• Lina (8/5): Centralt och hjälpsam personal - Vi valde detta hotell eftersom det ligger bara ca 15 minuters promenad från Colloseum, vilket ju var skönt för vi kunde ju gå till i stort sett alla sevärdheter. Vi hade vår 15 månaders bebis med oss så vr skönt att slippa åka taxi eller buss med honom och barnvagnen. HHotellets personal var väldigt vänlig, hjälpsamma och kunde bra engelska. De hjälpte oss boka taxi till flygplatsen och vi fick tillgång till hotellets lilla kök så vi kunde fixa gröt och välling när vi ville, samt låna kylskåpet till hans barnmat. Skönt med fungerande AC på rummet, och det ljudisolerade fönstret var väldigt effektivt så vi kunde sova gott trots det centrala läget. Nackdelen var att hotellets hiss inte gick ända ner till markplan så vi blev tvugna att bära vagnen en våning upp där hotellets entré låg. Rummet var dessutom ganska litet så för oss tre och en extra babysäng blev det inte så mycket utrymme över att vistas på. Den frukost som ingick i priset var inte vad vi i Sverige är vana vid, utan bestod av flingor med mjölk, juice, fabrikstillverkade croiassanter och rostat bröd med marmelad eller honung... Men som sagt, med tillgång till köket kunde vi ju komplettera frukosten som vi ville.
• Nathan (8/5): B and B Basilica Square - Stayed here with my wife and sister. We were given an apartment which had a bedroom, small kitchen, bathroom and communal area. It was clean and just what we wanted. We checked in late in the afternoon and the staff where fine. The location was great, really close to the metro.
• Archie (10/5): B&B Basilica Square - Overall I would say we had a very nice stay at this B&B. The area we were in was nice and only 15 minute walk to the Colosseum! The rooms very clean and big and they all had nice bathrooms. The breakfast you get is basic; cereals and bread etc, but for what you pay it is very nice! The beds also have very comfortable mattresses. I would recommend this B&B to any couple who are looking to explore Rome and have a wonderful weekend getaway! I know we did!
• Cheryl (4/5): AWKWARD Accomodations - Our room was in an apartment that was converted in to an office. Therefore whenever we came into the room, it was entering this professional office, and then we walked through to our room. It was VERY AWKWARD going to my room when there were three professionals arguing in italian trying to run their business. I hardly felt welcome, as they were very short with us, which is not fair since we paid good money for the room. Also, the power went out a few hours every day we were there, which was annoying since we paid extra so that we could stay at a place that had air conditioning.
• Sharanabasappa (8/5): Nice and convenient hotel; will stay again - The hotel people were extremely helpful. The main person who was pregnant at the time spoke very good English and very helpful. The keys to the bathroom didn't work and we had the hotel people look into it but the issue was never resolved during our stay. That was the only thing that needs to be improved. Otherwise the hotel was fine.
