• charly (10/5): fab! perfect hotel and location - we arrived early and our room was ready to check in immediately. we got upgraded to a bigger room free of charge and the staff were so lovely! the beds were so comfortable and the rooms very clean. the location was perfect, within walking distance to everything we needed. would highly recommend this hotel!!
• Paulo (10/5): Fantastic all hotels could learn from this one. - I stayed at this hotel on the way to Palma and I loved everything about it. I was in Palma for one day and on my way back I had to stay there again. Roger on the reception is exceptionally friend and a credit to the hotel. I would recommend anyone to stay there and I will for sure stay there again next time I am in Barcelona and hopefully sooner rather than later. It would be very hard to find something not to like!!!

• Kerry (8/5): A great location and modern hotel - The hotel location is great for exploring. The hotel amenities are nice, especially the rooftop pool. The rooms were fine - modern and reasonably equipped. Unfortunately the air conditioning was very poor. Even with the thermostat at 10 Celsius, little to no cooling happened and we had to open windows to be able to sleep. I can’t imagine what it would be like in peak summer. The staff were very indifferent and unengaging, and they appeared that way with everyone. We did not have breakfast at the hotel - instead we walked across the street and enjoyed wonderful fresh breakfasts at Fred y Elsa for less than the hotel charged. The lack of interest from the staff and the poor air conditioning…

• Nicola (9/5): Would definitely stay again! - Loved our stay here. The hotel is in a very central location, with good public transport links if needed. The room was very good size and the bed was soooo comfortable! Had the added bonus of both a bath and a separate shower which is unusual. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. It wasn't warm enough to use the pool but it was a cute rooftop area which I can imagine would be lovely when the weather cooperates! The only issue I had was the in-room hairdryer didn't work (but reception provided me with another) and the shower leaked.

• Aidan (7/5): Good location and comfortable beds, but quite dingy and overpriced. - The beds were very comfortable, and I liked that there were 2 showers in each bathroom, so two people could shower at once. It is very quiet - I didn't hear any noise from outside the hotel. The location is really good. You are on the edge of El Born, but 5 minutes walk to Eixample area as well. There are a few very good restaurants and fast food/pizza places nearby, so something to suit every budget. Checkout is 12pm. Breakfast is served til 11am. The staff on the first few days of our visit weren't very friendly. They didn't even say hello, or goodbye when you came and went, which I found odd - I think that's a basic thing that most hotel staff do when you enter or leave the reception. They kept their heads down or on the computer. However, the staff on the last couple of days were different and said hello and goodbye all the time. The porter was probably the friendliest, and always looked you in the eye and said hello. The hotel breakfast is good, but I think for 20 euros you could get much better at the place across the street or a breakfast place in Eixample, where the standard is far higher. I think the breakfast is worth about 10 euros. The hotel decor is a little dated. The bathroom needs a bit of a refurb - my shower door didnt close fully, leaking water on the floor. In one of the other rooms, the bath plug didn't close fully, so a bath would slowly leak water. There was also mould or dirt in the shower of the first bathroom. The rooftop is OK, but it reminded me more of a hostel than a hotel. It is very basic in decor and needs a refurb. It also isn't cleaned very often. It is maybe checked once a day, so there will be bottles, glasses, cigarette packets etc. of guests who have been there before you.

Fikk anbefalt å gå ut på gata og finne taxi, om de skulle ringe å bestille ville d gå mye lenger tid. Litt slitt.Renholdet: usikker, glemte å bestille? Noen uteliggere i dette støket, men ikke plagsomt.

• Lars (8/5): Schön und gerne wieder - Das Bad war grosszügig und hatte alles was es benötigt. Die betten waren bequem. Die Dachterasse ist super. Der Service war sehr gut und das Frühstück war genial. Die Lage ist super. Die Mitarbeitenden sind sehr freundlich und professionel. Das Frühstück hätte ein wenig Abwechslung vertragen. Die Schränke im Zimmer haben nicht so parktische Türen.

Die Lage war sehr zentral und trotzdem recht ruhig. Fast alle Sehenswürdigkeiten konnten wir zu Fuß erreichen Die Preise in der kleinen Bar im Hotel sind zu hoch für das was geboten wurde.Es gab aber viele gute Restaurants im Umfeld des Hotels die günstiger und preiswerter waren. Sonst war alles Okay.

• Christine (9/5): très bon séjour, hôtel très confortable, bien situé dans un quartier populaire et touristique . - Hotel moderne et très confortable, situé dans un quartier ( El Born-la Ribera) populaire, commerçant et animé , à deux pas de l'arc de triomphe, du parc de la Ciutadella, du palau de la musica catalana. Lits très confortables, chambre calme et propre, avec fenêtre donnant sur le patio de l'hôtel, très bien éclairée par le puit de lumière . le prix du petit déjeuner que n'avons pas pris car excessif de notre point de vue . De nombreux bars ou cafés proposent des petits déjeuners dans le quartier , c'est l'option que nous avons choisi .

• Vyara (6/5): - The location is 10/10. There are both metro stations and bus stops very close to the hotel. Around the neighborhood there are a lot of good options for eating. There is a supermarket near the hotel. There is a mini fridge in the room where you can keep food items. The beds are comfortable. It's quiet at night. The bathroom was with broken parts, also the floor was dirty. There is NO ventilation system in the bathroom and after taking a shower the whole floor, including that around the toilet, is still wet for several hours. It's yucky stepping on it. There is no way to regulate the thermostat in the room - the staff brought us an additional blanket and a portable heater, because it was cold at night. For 200 euro a night it's unacceptable. The breakfast is 20 euro per person PER DAY. Absolutely outrageous. The staff is not really friendly, they do not smile and cooperate. Only Luis was friendly. Thank you, Luis! Hope they pay you well. I do not recommend - the price is too high for what you get. It's definitely not 4 stars.

• Meri (6/5): Hotel cerca del Palau de la Música - Lo que más nos gustó fue el personal, dado que demostraron profesionalidad y amabilidad. Tanto Javi como el recepcionista de la noche del 10 de abril y el recepcionista de la mañana del 12 de abril. Teníamos una duda con el aire acondicionado y el recepcionista de la noche subió para aclararlo. La cama estaba muy bien, era súper grande y comoda. El baño estaba impoluto. Nosotros teníamos que ir al Palau de la Música y la ubicación es excelente, esta a 7 minutos andando. Esta cerca de Arco del triunfo, hay un amplia oferta gastronomica alrededor. Hay tres puntos que no nos gustaron, y fueron comentados al recepcionista de la mañana del 12 de abril. Pasamos mucha calor, dado que no se puede aumentar las temperaturas del aire, pero nos explicaron el porque y lo entendemos. Quizás seria conveniente plantear dejar un ventilador en el armario para estos casos. Si ya hacia calor en abril, no quiero pensar en agosto. Por otro lado, aunque el aire acondicionado no daba mucho aire, lo acabamos quitando porque hacia un ruido que provenia como de la rejilla del conducto. El baño estaba súper limpio, pero nos encontramos con una cucarach aque salia de detrás del wc, y se volvió a meter para adentro. Después, tanto en la ducha y la bañera, sale agua fria, y tarda como unos cinco minutos en que salga algo caliente. Aunque dentro de lo que cabe la estancia estuvo bien, se le comentó estas tres cosas al recepcionista y nos pidió disculpas por los inconvenientes. Aún así, queriamos dejarlo aclarado por aquí para que lo tengan en cuenta para futuros huéspedes.
