- Stacey (6/5): Good location - The room and bathroom was small, but the bed was comfortable. Although it is a quite a hike with roller bags around venice to get to this location, it is close to the central canal. As you might expect, this hotel does not have an elevator so make sure you can carry your bags up the stairs! Breakfast was limited (cereal, toast, pastries).
- Maria (8/5): - Mysigt litet hotell med bara några få rum. Rummer var rymligt, lugnt och fräscht. Trevlig personal. Egentligen bara 2 små minus: trappan upp till rummen var liten och smal och det var en utmaning att få upp våra stora resväskor. Frukostmatsalen var mycket liten (bara 4 bord) och vi fick vid något tillfälle gå tillbaka in på rummet och invänta att vi skulle få plats. I övrigt är vi mycket nöjda med vårt boende alldeles intill Rialtobron
- Carmen (4/5): super lage nähe zentrum und 200 meter zur rialtobr - sehr ungünstig mit engen treppen mit koffer und knieprobleme ist diese treppe kaum zu schaffen keine neuen Handtücher beim aufendhalt Wolldecken ohne Bettwäsche darüber also habe ich mir 2 Flohstiche zugezogen

- Anne (4/5): Gästehaus in zentraler Lage - Die Lage des Gästehauses ist für ein Kurztripp nach Vendig optimal. Menschlich auch alles sehr angenehm. Der Komfort des Balkonzimmers geht allerdings eher gegen null. Kein ausreichend warmes Wasser zum Duschen. Matratze alt. Steckdosen kommen aus der Wand bzw. hängen lose an den Kabeln..Dafür war das Personal aber wirklich sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Trotzdem keine Empfehlung von uns.
- Alexandra (6/5): - The room definitely needed to be cleaned better. There was dust EVERYWHERE. Behind the doors and under the beds and not just a little but a lot. We were only provided 1 roll of toilet paper for 4 women for 5 days. The gentleman that escorted us to our room said he would bring more back but he did not. We were able to stumble across a local grocery store to purchase more. The shower head in the bath room was broken. It would not stay up so you had to have in the floor and pick it up when you wanted to use it.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Vous faire prendre des vessies pour des lanternes - j arrive à l hôtel residenzia laguna vers 16 heure, la chambre n est pas prête me dit on , d un air embarrasse , on a de fait pas de chambre de réserve .je reviens à 17h 30 on va me changer d hôtel.ca ne me pose pas de problème bien situé.depart pour l annexe de l hôtel ( en fait pour l hôtel Canada) A l arrivée je comprends , dans les échanges entre les deux réceptionnistes que j ai déjà réglé ma réservation et que l hôtel residenzia laguna dédommagera l'hôtel Canada J avais réserve une chambre double supérieure et découvre une chambre double " inférieure " Non seulement j'ai été changé d hôtel mais j ai été déclassé. J ai réserve une chambre double supérieur à 108€et me voilà dans une chambrette qui s affiche à 43€ sur votre site internet
- Kelly (2/5): Disappointing - The condition of the room are totally different to the photos on the website, there is no air-con in the main bedroom which is very hard to sleep in the hot summer. we request for a fan, but they delivered the fan on the third night, for the first two nights four of us has to squaze to the living room. The bathroom is tiny, I have never seen, if you are big will not able to get in. Very disappointing.
- Al (6/5): Hotel overbooks - We booked this hotel for our honeymoon months in advance, but when we arrived, they were clearly overbooked. They moved us to a second hotel who moved us to a third....the "sister" hotel of the first, or so they said. It was nice and potentially in a better location, but there was no hot water the second day and it was intermittent and lukewarm for the remainder of our stay. Travels should be aware of this overbooking...they might not actually get to stay in the Residenza Laguna at the address they booked. We had to walk 15 min through the city to get to the other hotel...and go one stop on the vaporetto. The staff was very nice...helped us find places to go and we got a free boat ride to Murano island. However, given the lack of hot water and no response from the staff to correct it, we were disappointed at our second location and would not book with the Residenza Laguna again.

- Phil (6/5): Hotel or apartment??? - I booked a triple room for 2 people so that my daughter and I could have separate beds. The price included breakfast. I assumed this would be at Residenza Laguna as found on the internet. We arrived at hotel to be told that they only had 3 rooms and rest were appartments elsewhere in Venice. The apartment we then had to go to was fine in retrospect if you had requested it. Fridge not working. And we had thought we had breakfast included. So if you book this hotel I would advise you check what your actual accommodation is going to be.

- Jocelyne (4/5): Rien à dire sur l'hôtel , séjour en appartement. - Pour une sombre histoire de lit double ou de lits jumeaux auquel nous n'avons rien compris, nous nous sommes retrouvés dans un appartement certes plus grand qu'une chambre d'hôtel mais très éloigné de l'endroit que l'on avait choisi pour séjourner à Venise;appartement tellement sombre qu'il fallait allumer en journée, situé juste au dessus d'une pâtisserie/bar ouvert jusqu'à pas d'heure, très animé et très bruyant. Pas de lampe de chevet , des prises défectueuses (signalées)...Salle de bain très moisie mais ensemble très propre.Un problème de gestion des chambres, une mauvaise circulation de l'info nous a menés à cette situation. c'est dommage .Le personnel était cependant charmant et efficace Nous avions choisi parmi des centaines d'hôtels, une Guest House bien notée;on nous a promis les toits de la ville et une expérience vénitienne d'autrefois.Nous nous sommes retrouvés dans un appartement peu agréable forcés de surcroit de nous débrouiller pour les petits déjeuners.
- Annette Blegvad (2/5): Snydt af hotels.com og hotellet - Vi havde bestilt og fået bekræftelse på 3 enkeltværelser med hver sit bad og da vi kom var der redt op til 3 personer på eet værelse! Den venlige receptionist løste situationen den første nat ved at give os et dobbeltværelse, hvor to måtte sove i arm og et enkeltværelse. Næste nat var det det samme,dog var enkeltværelset nu et nyt sted. Tredje nat gentog det sig, så vi fik aldrig 3 enkeltværelser. Morgenmaden foregik på reposen! Vi havde betalt 2.000 kr. pr. nat - så det var ren svindel og vi kunne ikke få en kvittering ved afrejsen! Så vi kunne ikke bevise snyderiet og har modtaget en latterlig kompensation.

- Andrea (6/5): Fast übersehen - Für Unternehmungen in der Stadt mit kurzen Wegen zu den Wasserbussen ist die Unterkunft ideal. Ein Serviceangebot wie in einem "normalen" Hotel kann man in diesem mit 5 Zimmern sehr kleinen Haus nicht erwarten, da nur selten die Rezeption besetzt ist. Dafür ist der Preis günstig, die Zimmer ordentlich und sauber, die Atmosphäre gut.
- Disappointed (2/5): Dont stay here! - We stayed in Residenza Laguna for 3 nights in August. From the hotel.com website it looked like the apartment was part of the hotel and the location would be next to/nearby the hotel but when we arrived, the apartment was in a different location, very noisy right by St Mark's Square. The bathroom was extremely small and would not have allowed a big person to enter. There was a room door locked, when we asked where this went, we were told by Carlo who met us that it was a storage room and we didn't need access. After our first night we had complained about the heat as there was no air-con or fan in the bedroom and the location was incredibly noisy with the window open. On our last day another man brought us a small fan and by chance he also brought the key to the mystery locked door which turned out to be the kitchen! On entering and opening the overhead kitchen cabinet door the complete door fell off and nearly hit my foot which could have undoubtedly seriously injured me as it was heavy ! I can only guess that the two facts might be related. We gave Carlo the city tax and as we didn't have the exact money he promised to provide us the change but even after sending him an email reminder we still didn't get the change. Overall we were very disappointed. We had spent a lot of time choosing our apartment and even after all that research we still got duped by misleading statements and photos about the accommodation and by uncaring and dishonest or incompetent staff...
- Casucelli (10/5): - I've not written a review before, but can't let our wonderful stay pass without comment. Carlo the manager could not have been more pleasant or helpful. The transfer from the airport was smooth and the location of the apartment was first class enabling us to access all areas of Venice really easily. The apartment was smart and clean and had all the amenities you would need for a short stay including excellent coffee. I am already planning my next trip to Venice with my family and we will certainly be staying at Residenza Laguna. Thank you to Carlo and Alice for making the stay so pleasant

- Sophie (8/5): Apartment near San Marco - Delighted by location of small but adequate apartment just around the corner from San Marco. All four of us enjoyed the flexibility to soak up the magical atmosphere of Venice the way we wanted to: visiting main attractions any time, rarely needing to negotiate the packed water buses, wandering the maze of canals and alleyways, popping in to the apartment to relax whenever... just looking across rooftops and listening to the ebb and flow of the traffic-free street life below was fascinating and surprisingly quiet at night.

- philun (6/5): Good or bad?u decide! - I was supposed to live very near the Rialto bridge(that's y i pick this hotel) but when i arrived,the staff bring me out of the hotel and said the room is not there and bring me to the boat station.I asked where we should go and he said"San Mark Square",Oh no,that's another side!(although 15 minutes walking distance)I ask why and he said that's only their office,the room are at St Mark square!Ridiculous!!!How come?(i dont like st marks square)I guess probably there's not more room for us and the one at St Mark Square is only for back up....I m totally disappointed of the further arrangement as the traditional design of the hotel is one of the reason i picked it,but now they bring me to somewhere else...Luckily they gave us a apartment which is nice....but i m still angry of their arrangement!

- Jill (2/5): Do not book the balcony room - Our reason for choosing this hotel was the good location, the wooden beams and the air conditioning. Unfortunately the room did not deliver. We booked a balcony room. Our room was not in the hotel but two streets away. The air conditioning did not work and we were given a squeaky fan instead. We went back down the stairs, across the courtyard, along the two streets to have a conversation through an intercom with the proprietor who said the hotel was fully booked. In addition there were no wooden beams in the room, the shower over the bath had a broken door so water went all over the floor. The room was tatty, it was not a King size bed to give plenty of space, but an uncomfortable The next morning we had breakfast in the main hotel and saw one of the vacated room. This room was beautiful, beams, air con, lovely bathroom. And these rooms were cheaper because they did not have a balcony. When we checked out the manager tried to make out it was our fault we had a bad room because we had not come back.
- Familie (2/5): Styr unna annekset! - Familien på 2 voksne og 2 barn skulle bo i annekset, som egentlig viste seg å være en utleieleilighet 300 m fra hotellet. Enkel standard og forsåvidt rent i leiligheten, men utenfor inngangen til leiegården sterk stank av urin. "Annekset" skulle ha aircondition, denne viste seg å bestå av to gulvstående, svært støyende maskiner hvorav bare den ene virket. Den var montert inn mot seng på soverom, og pga støy var det ikke mulig å sove med den på. Vi hadde betalt for to netter men dro etter den første da det ikke var mulig å få sove. Det fantes heller ikke brannalarm eller rømningsveier. Resepsjonisten ville ikke kontakte sjefen og vi kunne ikke få penger tilbake på stedet. Styr unna!

The apartment is a 15 min walk from the hotel....ideally you want to go straight to the apartment (perhaps meet the hotel staff in the cafe down at ground floor level - a great pit stop).

- Familie D (4/5): Abseits vom Rummel und doch mitten drin - Die Lage unseres Appartments war ganz o.k. ca. 200 m vom Hotel entfernt. Personal war freundlich und bemüht. Ausgangspunkt zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten optimal. Geht alles zu Fuß.Appartment hatte eine gute Ausstattung die wir gar nicht nutzen konnten, da unser Aufenthalt zu kurz war. Wir waren mit 4 Personen 2 Erwachsene 2 Kinder 15 + 17 Jahre Platz war ausreichend.
- George (6/5): OK B&B Near Realto Bridge - Firstly we made the cardinal mistake of taking fast Vaporetto (Water Taxi) No 2 from the Venice Santa Lucia Railway Station and got of at the other side of the Realto Bridge, You must take the slow service Vaporetto Line 1 and get of at an Silvestro. The Realto Bridge is steep and as high as a 3 storied house it is impossible to cross this without help. The hotel manager a friendly Bangladeshi fluent in Italian, English and other languages sent in the hotel assistant another friendly Bangladshi to hand carry my two large luggages over the bridge for a small tip, without their help I would have been stranded at Realto or at the mercy of a Venetian porter who was asking for 25 Euros to transport my luggage over the bridge, a total distance of no more than 300 meters. The hotel room was approximately 12 feet by 10 feet with windows opening on to the lanes and looking at houses across the lane a few feet away this we felt was extremely claustrophobic. We also had mosquitoes in the room (which I was told was due to the extreme hot weather) and after repeatedly asking for a mosquito repellent we hand swatted as many as possible. They do not provide a kettle in the room which could be a problem if you are traveling with small children or want a quick cuppa. The breakfast did not have much of a choice the only hot items being toast and coffee. No bottled drinking water is provided in the room it is best to buy from a local super market or pay upwards of 2 euro for 1.5 lit
- besnard (2/5): - J'avais réservé dans cet hôtel car je tenais à rester dans ce quartier. Je suis passée 2 jours avant le jour de mon arrivée (étant chez des amis) la réservation était ok.. Le 9, nous sommes arrivés à l'hôtel et on nous a alors seulement informé que nous ne logerions pas là mais dans le quartier san marco, bruyant et surpeuplé. C'était un petit appartement vieillot qui ne correspondait en rien aux photos vues sur internet. D'autre part, pas de possibilité de prendre son petit déjeuner sans sortir. J'étais très contrariée et j'ai trouvé la méthode malhonnête. Je suis donc très mécontente.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Near Everything! - This little hotel was previously a private home and has only 5 rooms. The staff, particularly Carlo and Matteo, is wonderful. The location couldn't be better, only a few steps from the Grand Canal and the water bus stop (the water transit system is quite easy to master). The hotel is about a 'block' from the Rialto Bridge and is convenient to everything. The best pizza we've ever had is available just around the corner. The hotel itself is quite small but had been refurbished nicely. Very clean and there is AC in the room. The bathrooms are modern but the shower is tiny. Typical European breakfast of cheese, meat, bread, and fruit long with fresh fruit croissants. Orange and Grapefruit juice, along with a very good cappuccino . We stayed for 3 nights in room 24 on the top floor. Negatives: The double bed was hard. There is no elevator and the staircases are very narrow with a rope "bannister". It is 46 steps to the top floor so if you're not in shape or have any type of disability, this might not be the place for you. The floor of our room 'slanted' a bit but it wasn't an issue other than tripping a couple of times.
- Ian Lang (10/5): Spot on - This is a simple and very small hotel. However, it was very pleasant; the concierge was courteous and helpful and the location was perfect.
- Tom D. (8/5): Great location near Rialto Bridge. - Cozy place right near the Rialto Bridge. Easy to find which is important in Venice. Clean room, great service from the staff. If you want a real taste of a typical Venice room, this is perfect. Nice bathroom, they had a cot for my son ready when we got there. We got in late, so there was nobody there, but they left me a key and buzzed me in when got there. Could not have been more convenient. Small, but only there to sleep and shower anyway. We Would stay there again.
- JPaul (8/5): Idéalement placé à deux pas du Rialto - Excellent séjour, chambre agréable et confortable. Une réelle relation d'accueil et de conseil de la part de notre hôtesse à l'occasion du petit-déjeuner. Parler anglais est conseillé. Accès un peu compliqué >par le vaporetto, station San Silvestro ligne 1, rejoindre le campo sant Aponal, tourner à droite dans Ruga Ravano & Ruga Rialto, la Calle del Galizzi est à environ 80m dans une rue à droite (le nom de la rue n'est pas visible de prime abord, il faut se retourner pour le voir). Excellent base d'excursion pour visiter les quartiers San Polo et Croce.

- Helen (10/5): Fabulous location and wonderful hosts - The Residenza Laguna is a great place to stay in Venice. It's close to the Vaporetto, restaurants, the Rialto, shopping and in a lovely quiet location. The hosts, Davide and Marina, are wonderful. They were really informative about places to visit and even loaned us a guide book for the duration of our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good.

- stefano&serena (10/5): ottimo - Caratteristico in stile veneziano, in ottima posizione per visitare tutta la città , a 10 minuti da piazza san marco e 300mt dal ponte di rialto, i propietari sono gentilissimi e sempre disponibili, se vogliamo trovare una pecca non è adatto a persone sopra una certa età a causa delle scale molto strette e ripide ma d'altra parte in un edificio storico nel centro di venezia non possiamo chiedere di più.
- Ulrich (10/5): Das freundliche Hotel liegt mitten drin. - Sehr nettes, kleines und inhabergeführtes Hotel mit außerordentlich freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Inhabern. Die Lage ist super, ganz nahe bei der Rialto Brücke. Wenn Sie vom Flughafen kommen, hält das Boot dort. Gute Restaurants in der Nähe. Inhaber fragen. Spricht auch deutsch.
- JustSAMURAI (10/5): スタッフに人柄に納得感高し！！ - 正直なところ年期を感じるホテルで、日本で言う清潔感あふれるホテルではありません。 しかし、夫婦で切り盛りをされているようですが、非常に人柄良く、旅の途中にこの対応は心がいやされます。 2泊の滞在でしたが、お勧めのホテルを教えてくれたり、銀行の場所までわざわざ連れて行ってくれたり、やはり人のサービスが何より重要と考えさせられる良いホテルでした。 ヴェネツィアは観光地でどのホテルも高く年期も入っておりますので、その中ではこのホテルはおススメです。 昼到着の際はスタッフ不在の為、インターフォンで名前を言い、オートロックを解除してもらってから中に入り、カウンターの書き置きと鍵でチェックインが出来ます。
- giuseppe (10/5): Hotel Laguna di Venezia-vicino al Ponte Rialto e a tutte le attrazioni turistiche,consigliatissimo - Alberghetto molto accogliente, nel pieno centro di Venezia, arredato con gusto in tipico stile veneziano. Eccellente accoglienza e disponibilità dei proprietari. Prima colazione abbastanza ricca e di buona qualità. La nostra camera era molto spaziosa e confortevole, con travi a vista, anche se per raggiungerla bisognava inerpicarsi per una scala stretta e ripida, anche questa in tipico stile veneziano. Posizione strategica per visitare comodamente tutte le attrazioni turistiche del luogo. Consigliatissimo!
